Dear Mad Men judges it must be very satisfying to see what talented and serious fans your contest engaged. Cara is a marvelous actor as you can tell but does truly embrace the era you so wonderfully represent in your series. I wish I could send you pictures of her apartment, cool clothes and stylish vintage items she has selected for my Usonian home over the years to further confirm this for you. I had never heard of either MADMEN or Cara Kohl until a little over 2 weeks ago. I was sitting in a luncheonette where you are basically having lunch with the people next to you...know them or not. One lady was enthusiastically telling her friend about "Cara Kohl...a marvelous contestant on MADMEN." She raved on about her to such an extent that it made me curious. I naively asked "Is this a new game show?" They both chuckled at my comment, and were so blunt as to say "Where have YOU been???" They told me so much about the show, the characters and the contest that I wanted to see for myself.
When I got back to the office (Shhhhhh, don't tell my boss) I set out to find the contest site. Find it I did...and I could readily see what all the fanfare was about! Mind you, all I knew was what the two ladies had told me...so I was indeed a MadMen "virgin"...BUT NOT FOR LONG! This Cara chick had me dreamy-eyed! I watched ALL of the contestants, and SHE WAS A MAGNET! I watched her video so much that by the time I got home I knew the whole dialogue. I asked my wife had she heard of MADMEN. She had HEARD of it, but never seen it. I showed her the site, and she became interested as well.
We looked to see when the show was on...and we have become MM junkies! My wife and I, and many of my co-workers (they HAD to watch the show. since I couldn't shut up about it) are avidly awaiting the judges final choice. We are all hoping that OUR choice will be THEIR choice!!!!

I still think, out of all the other contestants Cara is the one who is actually a good actress. She's obviously professional, and knows not to rush a performance. Undiscovered, sure, amateur, no! I could really see her bringing something nice to the Mad Men set.

I am an admittedly biased newlywed, but I urge you to pick my wife, Cara, as the winner of this contest.

When Cara found out about this, she was very excited because it's our favorite show, and it was a cool opportunity to showcase her fabulous acting talents (she majored in theater in college, studied in NYC and has acted in a wide range of theater and film). As an added plus, our apartment resembles one of the show's apartment sets, with all of the early-60s furniture and knick-knacks Cara has collected over the years.
