The well-known horror filmmaker admits that when it first came out, Night of the Living Dead was considered gory (those hungry zombies!), but compared to today's movies -- it doesn't seem to be at all. Romero also reveals that his Living Dead sequels were made to be more funny than scary, and when it comes to directing style, it's Orson Welles he strives to emulate.

Among the many scenes that never made it into the theatrical release of Young Frankenstein was one where Cloris Leachman brandished a gun at Gene Wilder. The gun might not have made it past the editors, but it allowed Leachman to warn Wilder that she'd "shoot him if he didn't stop laughing!"

Have you ever watched Tim Burton's Beetlejuice and wondered about that sculpture of a brain with a spinal cord tail? Or asked yourself why there aren't any movies about biker werewolves? Well, ask no more! Just go to BMC, AMC's online B-movie channel and take a look at the two newest additions: Fiend Without a Face and Werewolves on Wheels.
Bad brains don't come badder than the killer cerebella of Fiend Without a Face: They're not stuck in trays, manipulating people at a distance -- they're out in the field, skulking around and sucking out spinal cords. And they're invisible! This is B-movie horror at its finest, and just when you find yourself thinking those little brains are kinda cute, they remind you that they're not.
Werewolves on Wheels features bikers, satanic monks, sex, drugs, former child star Billy Gray of TV's Father Knows Best, apocalyptic 1960s folk singer Barry McGuire ("Eve of Destruction") and a sexy hippie-chick snake dance. It's a dusty slice of pure 1970s' biker badness that leaves modern day imitations like Hell Ride in, well, the dust. But don't take our word for it -- check it out for yourself.
Halloween is approaching, so expand your horizons without stretching your budget: These classic right flicks are there for the asking, along with a slew of other low-rent treasures. Pop up a big batch of popcorn and prepare to stay up all night!

Clear your calendar: AMC is adding ten new weird and wonderful horror movies to its online B-movie channel. The highlights include the elusive Cat Girl (1957), a variation on the ever popular girl-into-panther theme that stars Hammer Horror fave Barbara Shelley in the shiniest black raincoat this side of your local fetish wear shop. You can't get Cat Girl on DVD and an out-of-print videotape will run you a pretty penny (and seriously, do you even have a working VCR?). Who cares! You can now satisfy your cat-like curiosity on AMC for free.
While you're at it, why not schedule a double bill with super-sleazy (and I mean that in the best possible way) ventriloquist's dummy picture Devil Doll (1964), which features Shelley's fellow Hammer starlet Yvonne Romain. It's also newly available.

A: I was on my lunch break from work with my fiance and felt my phone vibrate. I almost choked on my lunch.
Q: Which entry -- besides your own -- was your favorite?
A: I felt that everyone who shot a video for this contest did a wonderful job... I must admit, I especially enjoyed the Ice Cream Man video.
