Fearfest a Failfest???

This years Fearfest sucks. The older fearfest series were better, the Alien movies, Wolf, King Kong. ARE NOT FITTED FOR THIS SERIES (Same with many others.) I always have watched thise for a long time. Thise was the only I can actually turn away from and watch cartoons or some stupid shit.

Heres the 2010 list AMC (Use it, cause your tastes are pisspoor)

ALL HALLOWEEN MOVIES (NO HALLOWEEN 3)
ALL FRIDAY THE 13TH MOVIES (NO JASON X)
ALL THE NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET MOVIES
THE SHINING
PSYCHO
THE EXCORCIST
DAMIEN OMEN MOVIES
CARRIE
CHRISTINE
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON
THE SAW MOVIES (THOSE ARE JUST NASTY)
ROSEMARYS BABY
LEPRACHAUN MOVIES
HELLRAISER MOVIES
PUPPETMASTER MOVIES
AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS
STEPHEN KINGS "IT"
HOUSE OF WAX
AMITYVILLE HORROR

There you go, the list of death and life.

AMC, I am disappointed in you.

I am a fan of AMC, don't get me wrong. But Fearfest seems to have gone downhill every year. I miss the old days of Monsterfest, or when there was someone working to give the horror fans what they really wanted for Halloween. I feel more tricked than treated; tricked into looking forward all year long to a disappointing Fearfest. Where are the classics? An American Werewolf in London (1981), The Fog (1980), The Exorcist (1973), Black Christmas (1974), Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Omen (1976), Fright Night (1985), Carrie (1976), Poltergeist (1982), etc. If you were going to show some new films, I wouldn't mind seeing the Resident Evil film series, Dawn of the Dead (2004), The Hills Have Eyes (2006), or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). I wouldn't even mind going back to some of the grimy slasher films like My Bloody Valentine (1981) or Sleepaway Camp (1983). And where is Them! (1954) or the Thing From Another World (1951)?
I am a fan of the originals, like Halloween (1978), Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and Friday the 13th (1980), but AMC plays them at odd hours of the night or opt to show one of the lesser sequels or spin offs. Why is it that when classics, like Psycho, are played it is at 1 AM, and it's the crappy Gus Van Sant 1998 version? Piñata: Survival Island? Really?!?! Buffy the Vampire Slayer? End of Days? Wolf, King Kong, and Sabretooth? Not really scary or fun.
I do commend them for bringing back The Return of the Living Dead (1985), it was a fun movie from my childhood, and for trying The Shinning (1980). There are a lot of other interesting Stephen King Films that could be played, like The Mist (2007), It (1990), and Silver Bullet (1985). I also think the additions of Thir13ten Ghosts (2001), Night of the Living Dead (1968), House on Haunted Hill (1999) and the Alien films is good. I wish the Aliens films didn't replay all weekend though. The Halloween films are nice too, though I think the schedule overuses them as well.
What is it with replaying the same films all week? Where is the variety?
Every year I plan to spend the week before Halloween carving pumpkins, eating Halloween candy, going to costume parties, and most importantly...having AMC playing on the TV 24/7. Next year I might not be such a faithful viewer.

Fearfest Begins

Well it is here,Fearfest '09. I won't say the much anticipated Fearfest as I have noticed there hasn't been a lot said on this forum about it. In fact I think the worst thing that could happen has: apathy has set in. That is a shame, but understandable due to AMC's lack of thought and effort put into this sad horror marathon. I supportedt Monsterfest for years and looked forward to it always. I even have to say ho-hum to this Fearfest. I had hoped that they would look at what people were saying and do their best to satisfy horror fans, but alas, they didn't. If they wanted to make this a success they could. In fact I believe this will be a big ratings bomb. Maybe then they will get the message. They should look at my previous post and that movie lineup. It was a success in 2000 and I believe it would be one now. Well I am going to watch it tonight and throughout theweek. How much? I don't know.

This Monsterfest lasted 6 days and there weren't many movies that were repeated.

"Trick 'r Treat" just released on DVD! Thoughts?

So, b4 I saw this movie it was being blown up on nearly every horror blog known to man! It was just released 2day on dvd/blu-ray. Picked up a copy and just watched it...

Oh man was it refreshing!!! Wasn't the scariest...but the storytelling was awesome. Acting was great! And dare I say maybe a new horror icon in "Sam" the child burlap masked spirit of Halloween was born!?

IDK...does anyone see a sequel...cult classic status...Sam being an iconic horror figure in the future...any thoughts???

Comcast cable with OnDemand

If you have Comcast cable with OnDemand, they are airing THEY BEST horror movies for Halloween.
Over 80 classics which should have been seen on AMC, and not have to be paid $2.99 per movie!

FearFest Line up-Weak!

Me again... Basically all AMC did was to air the very same movies they have been airing all season long, along with Fear Friday. Not very original and caring to their loyal Fear Fest/Monster Fest Viewers!
I myself can watch the standard classics, such as Friday the 13th 1 & 2, Carrie, The Omen, The Exorcist (1st one!) etc etc..., over and over again. Now these are Halloween movies and should be seen. It's only once a year and watching these thru-October just makes it much more fun and enjoyable.
15 movies are worth seeing out of the AMC list and I was being generous!
Also, keep in mind; they will be airing the same movies, over and over and over again!
And, what is up with Piñata Island???!!! Yikes!
