Greatest Fears about the Greatest Fear Contest

Who are the "editors" making the "editor's picks" here? Do they love the genre, from Mario Bava to John Carpenter to Eli Roth? I understand they're probably busy as hell and this is just the smallest part of their job, but i think if Rob Zombie is being used as a figurehead for this, then maybe that should be reflected in the process.
Yes, i am the squeaky wheel of this torture device, screaming for some grease, and sure, i could be calling for my own death, but we all gotta die somehow. :)
