MonsterFEST should return from the dead!!!!!
The TRUE MonsterFEST died when the Friday The 13th movies took over. I am 26 years old and I assume you stopped playing The Mummy, WolfMan, and Frankenstein because you felt like I wouldn't watch, you were WRONG! I loved it the year that Linda Blair came on and did promos. I loved it when I could watch it with my dad and we could talk about it. Now all I get on AMC is Pinata Island? I am your target demographic and I think MonsterFEST is now a joke. Bring back the classics from the 20's-70's and leave the shlock and gore for all the other channels at Halloween. If anybody agrees, we should start complaining now and see if AMC even cares what we think. I challenge AMC to do an online poll, asking whether your audience prefers the classics (20's-70's horror) or the slashers (80's-present).

In response to your Blog to bring back the classic Universal Monsters I do have to agree.
Also if you read all these Blogs most all of the people are requesting The Universal Monsters as a come back. It has been a huge demand and I to hope that AMC responds to all our requests. Even TCM (Turner Classic Movies) hasn’t been airing The Universal Monsters? I find this all very odd. Yes “Piñata Island” does blow and is a major insult to any horror fan.
Now if AMC would air The Universal Monsters why do I have a feeling they would run these classics at the wee hours of the night?
As far as the slasher movies I grew up in the 80’s slasher era and of course you are asking the wrong person. I adore the Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Terror Train, Prom Night, etc. To me this brings myself back to my youth when going to the show was cheap and fun! I say mix it all up! Lets do some classic Black & White from the 30’s and 40’s to the 70’s (The Exorcist, The Omen) to the slasher 80’s to the 90’s with The Scream franchise! But yes, lets put to bed Piñata Island!
Signed 41-The True Queen of Scream!
No luck in getting an entire month of horror films. The schedule up to october 6th is online.
Rebecca, I looked at the schedule and I actually like Jeepers Creepers and I wouldn't mind The Ring, The original Scream and movies like that but I am talking about the endless sequels that even ruined the Halloween series. I think we are on the same page with this. I'm glad I am not alone.
