Old Horror Movie Title Needed!
Hi all. My first post. There was a horror movie made in the 1960s I believe, about a mad scientist in a mansion. He was doing some kind of weird experiments on peoples' brains I think. Somehow his daughter or her friend maybe, was killed but the scientist kept her head alive in a glass jar. At the end of the movie, the head says "Kill me, kill me." I think there may have been Nazis in the movie, but I'm not sure. It also seems like whoever played the mad scientist was famous. Everyone I tell about this movie says I'm nuts and no such movie ever existed. Am I crazy or does anyone remember this flick?
Thanks,
Bob

Welcome to the forum, Bob! Unfortunately, the only movie I can think of that sounds vaguely familiar is The Man with Two Brains, the comedy with Steve Martin that I'm sure you're not talking about. Perhaps one of our other Monsterfesters can help you out...
You might try "the screaming skull" or "the brain that wouldn't die". I hope that helps.
No, not either of these movies. Kind of the same story like "The brain that wouldn't die". The movie was in color. And it had this really creepy ending where the girl's head says "kill me, kill me". I think right before that, she saved the day by controlling the body of a corpse or zombie and killed the bad guys. It was similar to "re-animator". I remember watching this movie on tv several times when I was a young kid.
The only one I can think of was the same that niccid28 mentioned, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" from 1962. It is not in color though.
Here is a link to the entire movie:

Hey Bob,
I have your movie: The Frozen Dead from 1966. Directed by Herbert J Leder. Great memory from my childhood. My brothers and I watched it on Shock Theatre, which showed a lot of old movies on Saturdays. Dana Andrews was the star. He played the scientist with the frozen nazis and frozen arms on the wall. I think the girl was Anna Palk. And you're right, she ended the movie saying "Kill me. Kill me..." Creepy! Amazon has it for sale as a double feature but its almost 60 bucks!
Hey! Can you help me locate "The Golem: It!" starring Roddy McDowall? It was also directed by Herbert J Leder. Kind of hard to find it.
Later...
That's it!! You are the man!!
Yeah, the ending is what always stuck in my mind. Really creepy!
Again, thanks!
I never heard of "The Golem". I will search around since you helped me out.
Bob
Glad I could help. Hope you can help me...
The "Kill me! Kill me!" line is from "The Brain That Wouldn't Die." The head in question belonged to the mad scientist's wife. The Nazis are from "Madman of Mandoros," which was alternately titled "They Saved Hitler's Brain." Actually, they saved his head.
Although "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (1962) did have a woman's head in it, the "Kill me, kill me" line is from "The Frozen Dead" (1966), which had the frozen Nazis as well as a woman's head. I've never seen "They Saved Hitler's Brain", but "The Frozen Dead" is about thawing out Nazis 20 years after the war to try world domination again. Sounds very close to the "Hitler" movie, which was also by Herbert J. Leder.
Amazon has the movies with the graphics. Below are the addresses you can copy & paste. Check 'em out:

Since you did a good job for Bob, I was wondering if you could help me. When I was a kid, I saw a vampire movie that really creeped me out. It was in black and white - 1960s. It might have been a Hammer film. I only remember a couple of scenes. In one scene, a group of people are hold up in a castle with vampires surronding it. A person fell out the window (I think it was a woman), and the vampires converged on her. The other scene was the ending. The head vampire, or it could have been Dracula himself, turns into a huge bat and flies into the castle. The lead character throws a spear and impales the bat against the wall through the heart. I think the other vampires around the castle die right after. I never saw that movie on TV again. Does anybody remember it?
Andy
MacReady, you may find "It (The Golem)" (1966) with Roddy McDowall from

Unbelievable! Bob said I was the man but I'm handing that title over to you. I found "IT" on the AG site and bought it - thanks Bobquack!
hey any body know where to get countess dracula old hammer film. thanks
This is my first post here, and I believe that I have your movie title, Andy. The movie that I think you're referring to - giant bat getting nailed to the wall by a spear, etc. - is 'El Ataúd del Vampiro' (English title 'The Vampire's Coffin') from 1958. It features Mexican horror stalwarts Abel Salazar and Germán Robles. 'El Ataúd del Vampiro' is a sequel to 'El Vampiro' made the year before. I believe K. Gordon Murray's dubbed version - 'The Vampire's Coffin' - was released in 1965.
A few pages from the Italian photo comic used to promote it can be found here - http://www.kgordonmurray.com/h27a.html
'El Vampiro' and 'El Ataúd del Vampiro' are available as a two-disc special edition DVD on Amazon.
Hi all, Man...I was thinking the movie he was thinking of was The Man With Two Brains with Steve Martin in it. Well I need a little help if anyone has any ideas. Okay...so it has this girl in it that dresses in a black wedding or prom dress and turns into a monster in some house that a bunch of teenagers find. The thing that possessed this brunette beast was a tube of lipstick. They have a flick of it in one of their commercials but I cannot figure out what that movie was called. Help if you can.
Thanks
Yeah I have one about a head,too...it was set on a ranch,I believe and they had this guys head kept in a box or something and later I believe the body came to retrieve the head.....anyone have a clue?
I am new to this forum and would love help finding a movie. I unfortunately only saw part of it on tv few years ago (may have been scifi channel). I remember a fenced in backyard? someone climbs over the fence to discover what looks like a cabbage patch, think the "cabbages" were covered in cloth. when they uncover the "cabbage" turns out to be moving human head? would really appreciate the help. thanks!
I just bought a movie from aghosthouseproduction.com It was cut and missing key parts to the movie but had room for 30 mins. of adds about other horror movies they had.
I emailed aghosthouseproduction.com and there reply was "NOT THERE PROBLEM NO RETURNS ALLOWED".... Buyer beware.. Paying more for a real version is a smart move.
I REMEMBER SEEING A LONG TIME AGO I SAW A MOVIETHAT HAD A SLEW NO PUN INTENDED OF HORROR STARS. THEY INCLUDED BELA LUGOSI, IN HIS LAST COMPLETED , NON ED WOOD , MOVIE, LON CHANEY JR,. JOHN CARRIDINE, TOR JOHNSON BASIL RATHBONE AND AKIM TAMIROFF. THE ONLY ONE MISSING IS BORIS KARLOFF. THE NAME OF THIS MOVIE IS BLACK SLEEP MADE IN 1956. IS THIS A LOST MOVIE??
Hi,
I also have a question about a movie I saw a long time ago. It's kind of hazy in my mind but this is what I remember; it seems to be an England type setting... I remember it was either a large mansion or castle... there was some type of large pool or pond just behind this building... a girl is to be married to the owner... a guy from the U.S. comes to see her and try to convince her not to marry this guy... at night all the doors are locked and you can hear dragging in the corridor.. at the end it turns out that this guy would turn into a huge frog. Does anyone remember the title or anything about this movie. jf3030
