Connery took what made him good as Bond to a new frontier when he played Marshal O'Niel in this Scifi-Western set on one of Jupiter's moons. As critic Corliss put it, "He is strong; he is soft. He can be hurt physically, and take it; he can be hurt emotionally, and show it." In other words, he nails this performance.
