Blazing Saddles Censored????
Blazing Saddles has some of the greatest lines of any comedy movie, but if you're censoring out the keywords and lines, maybe AMC isn't the best channel to be airing this movie. It was designed to be the movie that has something offensive to everyone and that's what makes the movie! Plus, AMC is cable and not basic network television, right? Too bad. I'll just watch the video.

Dave beat me to it to post the cry of censorship. I sat down to complete unwind and watch one of the funniest movies ever made only to have my blood boil as I witnessed the censorship AMC selectively applied. This movie offends everyone and while AMC somehow thinks that deleting the word "nigger" cleans it up, the only way public can be protected from all racist references throughout the movie is to NOT SHOW IT. AMC is too chicken shit to let people hear words like "faggot" and "nigger", but they are bold enough to show Mel Brooks shove his face in his secretary's tits (sorry, breasts). What hipocracy. What a society of ninnies we (excluding myself) have become.
OMG, now AMC just, albeit indirectly, bragged about how the first time network TV showed Blazing Saddles, the neutralized the audio in the flatulant scene. Are you serious. i agree blazing saddles is a great movie but how many times can a person watch it. the amc plays it way to much along with movies like death wish, rambo, jaws, godfather, the amc needs to play different movies. i cant stand to watch there channel anymore because im tired of watching those movies

I don't know, its just that they can't allow that kind of stuff too be aired on television.
Maybe AMC execs should catch one of the late night comedy roasts on Comedy Central, words like faggot and nigger are tame compared to these roasts. And yet, AMC can show the same commercials for Extenz, penis pumps and feminine fingertip massagers almost every commercial break during latenight movies.....I guess instead of the regular viewer audience, they are now after the politically correct, sexually dysfunctional, self gratifying female crowd.

I have been meaning for some time to let off some steam about the terrible hatchet job AMC has done on their 'bleeps' throughout the classic Blazing Saddles. This is supposedly done in light of 'political correctness', yet if you truly listen they haven't done that much about how they still talk about Madeleine Kahn in the movie ~ now do they? How politically correct is that? Or does AMC's PC policies only apply to the color of a "man's skin", to hell with the fact that the person may be a woman.
AMC supposedly stands for 'classic' movies, yet watching Blazing Saddles on AMC is just plain painful. The first time I saw it on AMC I was shocked, I couldn' believe you would do that in the name of 'PC' to a classic Mel Brooks movie!! SHAME ON YOU! Especially, when I heard the word bulls..t, actually spoken from a different movie on your channel the other day.
Please, return Blazing Saddles to it's original form or show it in it's entirety later at night, if you're afraid of children being subjected to it. But please, give us back the real 'Blazing Saddles'.
