Why cut up a Classic?

Just been watching "Pulp Fiction," and wondering why large chunks have been cut out. The whole foot massage discussion at the beginning, the keying of the Malibu talk have inexiplicably been taken out of the movie. Now cutting the shooting up scene makes some sense, but all this other dialogue being extracted is ridiculous. AMC was so much better when they showed movies uncut & without commercials. It is still a cable channel, not some network station that has to edit stuff for time to squeeze films in between newscasts. So WHY cut up the classics? I enjoy seeing some of the vulgar language replaced with silly terms like micky fricky or melon farmer, but to drop whole scenes on a cable network just makes no sense to me.

Was watching some more & the scene where they are cleaning the car was gone. Here it is you have a salute to Samuel L. Jackson, and you rip out some of his best scenes. It just doesn't make sense to me. Why would a channel dedicated to just showing movies have to resort to editing for time?

They aren't cut out, you're just too stupid to see them.
