One on One - Pixar Versus Classic Walt Disney
It should come as no surprise that Pixar's latest, Up, debuted at No. 1 last weekend. With a string of hits (Toy Story (1995), Finding Nemo (2003), Wall-E (2008), etc.), the CGI-animation studio has set a new standard for family entertainment. In 2006, Disney bought Pixar and merged the modern animation titan with its classic counterpart. Does the new Disney compare to the old (i.e., Beauty and the Beast (1991), The Lion King (1994), Bambi (1942), etc.)? Which type of family fun do you prefer?
