Which scene from Planet of the Apes is the most classic? The Kiss, The Revelation, or The Recapture? AMCtv.com visitors voted for their favorites and the results are in. The Revelation scene with the famous reveal shot of the Statue of Liberty was the winner with 53% of the votes. The Recapture scene in which Charlton Heston demands, "Get your stinking paws off me!" captured 37% of the vote while The Kiss scene in which Heston smooches with an ape rounded out the poll with just 10% of the votes.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE END WHERE THEY WERE RIDING UP THE BEACH ON THE HORSE AND CAME UPON THE TOP PART OF THE STATUE OF LIBERTY. THAT HONESTLY WAS THE FIRST TIME IN THE MOVIE THAT I REALIZED THEY WERE ACTUALLY ON EARTH IN A LATER TIME PERIOD. IT GAVE ME GOOSE BUMPS THEN AND IT STILL DOES EVEN NOW WHEN I WATCH IT (WHICH I DO - OVER AND OVER AGAIN). JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF PLANET OF THE APES!!!
I SAW "HEAVEN KNOWS, MR. ALLISON" THIS MORNING ON AMC AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHERE I CAN PURCHASE THE MOVIE EITHER ON DVD OR VCR TAPE. IF YOU KNOW, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YEARS. THANKS GUYS AND KEEP UP THE WONDERFUL WORK YOU DO!!! SHARON.
Well, I saw this when it came out in the 70s and have Loved it ever since! I was fourteen that Saturday afternoon when I viewed this in a local theater-I will never forget the beginning of my Love affair with quality science fiction. This movie is packed with excellent acting, stunning photography and a story line that will keep you riveted!
