Cool Hand Luke, as you may imagine, is a pretty cool customer. And although "Luke" turns out to be surprisingly popular name in entertainment circles, not every one ranks on the same scale as Paul Newman's iconic rebel with a cause. Let's take a look.

1. Luke Skywalker
The one-handed wonder from Tatooine is the star of three movies, a hero to the entire galaxy, and can control objects with his mind. So he should be pretty cool, right? Except... Luke Skywalker is the ultimate dork. He whines his way through the first film ("But I wanted to go to Tashi Station and pick up some power converters!"), insults midgets in the second (by yelling at Yoda), and ends up being a total jerk for the trilogy's conclusion Let's not even get into his kissing his sister. That's not cool at all.

2. Luke Duke
On big screen or small, The Dukes of Hazzard's Luke Duke is one cool dude. He drives a sweet car, gets the ladies, and is constantly on the run from the law. He's probably not quite as cool as his brother Bo -- the maverick of the two siblings -- but in the movie version, he's played by Johnny Knoxville, who is far cooler than Sean William Scott. So it evens out.

3. Luke
There are some spoilers for Children of Men here, so beware. Chiwetel Ejiofor's Luke is, quite simply, not cool at all. Which is tough to handle, as Ejiofor (Redbelt, American Gangster) is super-cool normally. But in this case, he betrays everyone in the movie, and essentially acts like a total jerk to Clive Owen. Then he gets run over by a tank. Not cool, Chiwetel Ejiofor. Not cool.

4. Luke Jackson
Who's a complicated man, and nobody understands him but his inmates? That's Cool Hand Luke, of course. He manages to charm everyone in his prison, is played by Paul Newman in his prime, and never, ever gives up, no matter how high the deck is stacked against him. That's why they say that Luke Jackson is one cool mother-Shut your mouth! What? I'm just talking about Cool Hand Luke.
