The U.S. President According to Hollywood

President's Day is here, and contrary to popular belief, the holiday is not simply an excuse to take the day off from work. It's a time to honor those men (and perhaps, by January 2009, women) who have sacrificed themselves to occupy the most powerful chair in the world. It's a time to reflect on some of the greatest leaders the world has ever seen, and ponder the lessons learned from those who have failed to live up to the challenge. And for us movie lovers, President's Day is also a time to look back at how Hollywood has hailed the highest office over the years. Who do you think is the best Commander in Chief to come out of Hollywood?

Call me crazy, but I liked Leslie Nielsen in "Scary Movie 3". (And they make a little joke about Harrison Ford as president in it. :) )

Also, Jonathan Pryce is playing the president in "G.I. Joe". Score. :D

Oh Man, LaDracul. First Van Helsing, now Leslie Nielsen?? This is disturbing, indeed...hehe.

The one President that's missing, I think is Jed Bartlet from the West Wing. But since he's not in a movie, I guess it doesn't count. Still, if I could vote Martin Sheen to be President, I think I might.
