i'm gonna go get me some health insurance now
THIS IS THE SCARIEST THING I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE! :-O
i love how this is about something REAL but its still scary.
i guess that makes it REAL-ly scary.
hahaha
you know.. i've been sick with a cold/cough for the past two weeks.
im beginning to doubt whether im getting better or not!!
i love his makeup!
It adds so much to the horror effect
awesome..... you guys keep getting better and better
oh wow this is HOTTTTTT!!!!!
im tired of all the normal fear stuff with all the monsters and ghouls and random twists on americana. its been overdone for too long. i agree with sammyVicious, this is something "REAL" and its definitely an engaging topic.. stupid american healthcare system!!!
and i just have to add that cinematography for this piece was really top-notch! loved the climactic cuts =D
i can't stop thinking.. how this video has a lot of truth to reality..
definitely a real fear or/and a reality for many americans right now. people dying because they cant afford the medicine and having to buy it from canada and etc...
this could be or become any of us!
the sound is AMAZING
This is kind of gross watching from the beginning till the end. It was so funny on my part that I feel like I wanted to reach out to him and help him out. Also, I wasn't expecting the call would be from the insurance company about the bad news. This is genius and a job well done
I love the meaning. You did a great job man.
Ah, great horror always makes sociopolitical statements.
how scary. how true.
Great job dude! This is a good film advocate for universal health care reform.
this is really freaking me out. I really want some health insurance now!
That was a good flick. With a good statement. Should be a fear for many people. You got my vote.
bestest everrr!
i was just thinking about this today!!! :(
The cough syrup as blood smeared on the floor...that is a painting of visceral horror that marries the cerebral horror of insecure health policies.
It's the snail trail of the US's health insurance policies trying to catch up to the needs of the people!
i could deal with this one winning. eerie. and snidely cynical.
Stellar production value, and it's refreshing to see a film work within the time alotted with a beginning middle and end. Good structure, pacing, and use of genre. One note: After he drops the bottle of cough syrup, he's seen again drinking from it. But i didn't catch this until watching it a number of times - it's just that good
there really is no beginning, middle or end here. it's shot well enuff but i don't get the point or see anything interesting.
meh...
i saw a health care awareness commercial today very similar to this short. two thumbs down for lack of originality!
if you don't get the point, you obviously aren't aware of the staggering number of people who don't have health insurance.
kudos to the filmmakers. this is probably one of the most cohesive ideas i've seen here. you didn't try to pack too much into one minute...and like any good film, i'm not barraged by voice over. It's a film, and you're showing me instead of having some disembodied voice make up for a lack of directorial vision.
i get the point of this video, but i feel like i've seen it somewhere before. so i agree with the person above that it's "lack of originality". people here has been commenting on how great it is, but i think it's okay.
This is awesome! it shows a lot of meaning - a great horror movie, suspense, thrilling and at the end it will remind us with our health care crisis.
Keep up the good work. Great video and acting. Love it!
This is awesome! it shows a lot of meaning - a great horror movie, suspense, thrilling and at the end it will remind us the health care crisis in US.
Keep up the good work. Great video and acting is perfect!
WOw this was Amazing, except for one thing... it sucked
So that was your greatest fear? stupidly chocking on cough syrup and forgeting to get health insurance?
I think this one was amazing, the cinematography was really nicely done, i loved the use of editing and how it took a simple idea (one that no one really thinks of horror) and twisted into a potential reality.
looking through the other videos, they all had the same genre; monsters, deaths. things that would normally frighten us. but this is a real issue that can happen to anyone and anytime. great job.
health insurance...
wow...that's really, really scary.
the topic is very serious and important. i love the cinematography and the way the subject was handled with maturity, bundled in a short piece, and sprinkled with horror and anticipation.
man, i'm really glad i have health insurance...
I think this is so much better and more creative and has more impact then the number one right now. Props on the sound especially.
This video shows immense talent and especially directorial and productorial skills. The crew you've assembled, in terms of the resultant product, show a great level of professional skill. Do you have a website?
I'm dealing with this right now. Freaks me out, especially with a long commute.
i honestly dont see any fear in this video. it's edited well enuff...but it's all the same color tone, and he's spitting cough syrup for most of the running time? and then a punchline at the end? tip: have a story arc to take the viewer on a ride. it's not a bad idea to have somebody write for you...collaboration is key!
I thoroughly enjoyed viewing this! It's all the more fear-inducing knowing that a similar situation could become a reality to almost anyone nowadays. Great job!
Very cool dude, love the scene. It makes me re-check my insurance coverage. Great acting and the meaning of it all. Good job!
are you kidding me? whats so great about this? i could shoot this with my sony handcam and improvise better than this
one time chuck norris round house kicked a good video, it turned into brad go' greatest fear
Good job.
Glad to see this in the finals.
This is pretty creepy..and very creative!
What I appreciate about this is that you demonstrate that many of our fears are not that of the supernatural kind. Sure, levitating children are terrifying, but I doubt I will see any in my lifetime. I find myself more afraid of those things which are more plausible. Thank you for a video that captures these! I appreciate you thinking outside the box!!!
Great job! Very suspenseful and relevant to the fears of over 49 million people uninsured in this country.
Way to go Brad! It's such a unique idea and it is executed really well. I'm very impressed. I hope you win.
The build-up is excellent, particularly in the various mixes of sound. Love the shakiness of the camera and the busy short cuts of the images. I also like that it deals with a real issue, that definitely makes it different from the rest.
very down to earth and a real empathetic relational fear gives me the chills...
yes, quite a unique take on the horror genre. very thoughtful handling of the subject matter, well done everyone!
Very creepy! I work for an insurance company and unfortunately this happens. Very sad.
this movie scares me, but it has not monsters.
Very sad but can happen.
Scary and true.:( Great video!
Horrifying. and sad because thats the reality of things. Within the first 2 seconds of first seeing it I just kept thinking "yep this is a real life everyday ocurrence for millions without medical insurance." I knew before it was over that it was too late. Great job. If it doesnt win it should definitely be a PSA promoting medical insurance!!!
