Talk: Breaking Bad: January 2012

Lets discuss season 5

First i'll say i dont have a clue what season 5 will be about. But were around the half way point between season 4 an 5 and im having BB withdraws. So i would like to here what other BB fans might think season 5 will be about. My guess would be that the main story will revolve around the DEA (Hank) and there investigation into gus fring's entire operation. I think there could be someone from gus's past that is involved also. In season 3 the episode titled "one minute" its a flash back to when the couisins were younger. A younger uncle Tio is talking to someone on the phone (cartal) they are talking about gus. Tio calls him Generalissimo. This means supreme commander this has to do with Augusto Pinochet and his past in chille. Also i believe that Hanks boss the head DEA guy was in with gus the whole time. And of course Walt and Jesse will be right there in the middle of everything. So lets here what u think

Sag Awards Mini Watch and Chat

Very excited about seeing Breaking Bad at last nominated in the Sag Award drama ensemble category I'm thinking tonight, Sunday Jan 29th, might be a great night to enjoy a mini Watch and Chat together.

With so long apart suffering through no new Breaking Bad to bask in together I think it could be a really good time for us get together to watch and chat about Breaking Bad once again. Ya think?

Here's hoping some of you can STOP IN TONIGHT to watch the show, talk Breaking Bad or just pop by to say howdy to the old gang once again. SEE YA THERE!

Pay attention to detail...

In season 2 episode 11 (Mandala)
Walt returns to Los Pollos Hermanos to retrace his steps and uncover whom he was intended to meet..
In that sequence, other than Jesse, What else was missing?

Screen Actors Guild Awards this Sunday, January 29!

Bryan Cranston is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series and the "Breaking Bad" cast is nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on TNT and TBS starting at 8PM (ET). Will Bryan be there looking mah-velous? Will Aaron bring his fiancee? Will the whole cast be present? I'm excited!

Ahh!! I just finished watching season 4 and I can't believe it

First time poster, but I've read a few of the comments here and like the vibe. I've watched from the beginning, but sometimes forget what's happened over the years. Tho I don't want the series to end, I agree with some that Face Off would've been a good ending. Except... for the lily of the valley. I kept thinking no way could've Walt done that, poison Brock, a kid! We know that he is now ruthless, but I was trying to figure it all out. Until... I watched the making of the episode and they confirmed it. Loved when they walked out of the laundry for the last time, a couple of badasses! But I still want them to be the good guys. Aaron Paul said in the making of Face Off, that the characters loved each other. Nothing is ever said about that, it's never mentioned and that drives me crazy. Does Skyler still love Walt? Why is a hottie like Marie with Hank? And I love how Jr has grown up. Insights please!

Roll call/Who has been here since the beginning?

Giving a shout out from SE PA. (On Board since Season 1.)

Breaking Bad season 5 should have a live aftershow !

Im a huge breaking bad fan. I also like the walking dead, after each episode of season 2 they had an aftershow called the talking dead. They talked about the episode that had just aired, had guest from the walking dead to talk and answer questions about the episode. I think breaking bad season 5 should have an aftershow " talking bad " maybe. Breaking bad fans let me know what u think.

Who won the contest , please ???????????

Hello , please tell me who won the contest for the walk on part?????????

Bring Back Clovis for Season 5

Anyone who loves Breaking Bad knows it's every character that makes the show work so well. Help Clovis help Jesse and Walt one more time -- spread the word and head on over to the "Bring Back Clovis on Breaking Bad" Facebook page. Leave a suggestion on how to bring him back, or comment on why you think Clovis is the coolest junkyard dog around. Let's see if we can generate enough interest and back our favorite partner in crime.

t appears that it had started from the first season, but now it's not on anymore. Is AMC going to continue to run the reruns and if not WHERE/HOW will I continue to pick up from LAST week to bring myself up to speed!??

I'd only recently begun watching Breaking Bad and it appears that it had started from the first season, but now it's not showing anymore and I'm wondering if AMC is going to continue to run the reruns so I can bring myself up to speed from the first season.

Season 5?

Will season 5 be Breaking Bad's last? Are there talks of possibly extending it to a 6th season?

season 3 region 2 release date

Just finished watching the first two seasons dvd box sets here in the UK. Now I wish to boost world sales and fill AMC coffers to burting point but find I can't because season three onwards has not been released on region 2 PAL format?!??!!! Where do internet pirates come from? They are born of frustration!! A google search turned up nothing but other UK fan whining. Has anyone at AMC got anything to say on the subject? Were season 1 and 2 DVD sales too small in the UK for you to be bothered? I love the show and I've got the dough what is the problem?

This has always bothered me--anyone have any input?

In Season 2, when Tuco kidnaps Walt and Jesse, he takes them to Tio Hector’s hideaway in the sticks. There is no one else around and yet there is a stack of firewood by the stove and a small shine with lit votives on top of it.
Since Tio cannot obviously perform any self care, who has been seeing to his needs? Has Gus set him up with some sort of home health aid, or what?
After Tio is discovered after the shootout with Hank and Tuco, then Tio became a ward of the state. But what about before? If anyone has an answer, let me know, otherwise
I hope we see a major flashback explaining this.

New Drug for Walter to Start Making. - LSD

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Leonard_Pickard
The real life version of Walter White who made acid...
Now that Walter's imfamous blue meth has alot of heat on it... why not start making a new drug? Based off of what William Pickard did. It would make a great story and add a whole new direction to the show making it new and thrilling.

The Demise Of Gus Fring - Video

Great video of mainly Gus clips. I found this video from a reference within another youtube video this person made. They weren't able to upload it to youtube for some reason so they posted it here.

My prediction for the series: Bikers

After watching nearly every episode for the third time, I've begun to notice a trend; Bikers. Theyre everywhere! From season 1-3 theyre in almost every episode. This cant be coincidence. As the earlier seasons seem to constantly point towards the future, I believe this is the case for the bikers.

WARNING: SPOILERS

Now that Gus is gone, Walt has the perfect opportunity to begin growing his own empire. Where should he start? Well obviously he needs a place to cook but he also needs ways to distribute his product. This is where the biker gangs come in. Apart from their constant appearance in BB, this can also be seen in The walking dead. The blue meth easter egg in that show was not only a BB reference, but I believe it was also a hint that Walt's product ended up in Georgia because one of the shows characters were running it for him. I believe this constant biker reference is pointing towards both Walters beginning and his demise. Jesse's short hallucination in season one makes me feel this way especially because it seemed so random, yet at the same time, it wasn't random at all. Strange.

Just a thought. Go back and watch the episodes for your self and see if you can make anything out of all the biker madness!

Thanks!

HMO denies Walt coverage for chemotheraphy

Rewatching Season 1, I'm wondering, why did Walt's HMO deny coverage for Chemotherapy to treat Lymphoid Cancer? I'm no fan of HMO's, but in the real world, I would think that it would be covered, especially for a teacher. I may be a stickler for details, but was this ever explained?

69th Annual Golden Globes are Sunday January 15th@8/7c

Crossing the River in Breakage

Anybody have any ideas about the opening scene of this episode (season 2, Episode 5 ). It's the the two guys crossing the river from Mexico in which they find the previously tossed acrylic cube with Tuco's "grill" inbedded in it. Do these guys show up later? Does this scene hold a significance that I'm just not picking up on? Something else? It's driving me crazy! Help!

POV video -- fantastic

500 points if you can tell me what season & episode the scene at :47 is from. :-) 'cause it's buggin' me, LOL

Spanish Dubs

Hey all, sorry if this was asked before, but I was just wondering if there were any available formats of the seasons with Spanish Audio? I've tried looking, but all I can find are ones with Spanish subtitles. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks !

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tuco

Just happened to catch the movie 'Collateral Damage' on TV last night - To my surprise, there was Tuco. Played friend of Schwarzenegger's as a fellow Los Angeles Fireman. Nice guy, stayed with Arnold at the hospital when he was injured, a real sweet and caring guy. Good actor!

Say It Ain't So!

Has anyone written to AMC or the writers re: a continuation of BB.? There's so much more to tell. I can't believe they'll wrap it up in one more season.

Regarding season four.

I have been told it is available for sale online!!

Aaron Paul is Engaged!

http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20559971,00.html
Her name is Lauren Parsekian.

Why not?

This promotion is amazing, could spread to Latin America, for example (and why not Brazil?)
Essa promoção é incrível, poderia se estender para America Latina, como por exemplo (e por que não o Brasil?)

Could we see Breaking Bad at Comic Con?

with the final episodes coming up I hope to see BB make a featured promo event or a booth at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Even if they only resorted to people on the corner outside giving out some promo items like a blue rock keychain or something but a panel would be aces though.

Season 4 DVD?

Does anyone have any idea when Season 4 will be available on DVD?

Gustavo and "Guillermo" Fring (the Fring twins)

What if Gustavo had a twin brother?, lets give this second individual a first name like “Guillermo” Fring. A Sort of the Romulus and Remus of the burgeoning cartel drug trade.

Lets look at some hints to my idea:
Don Eladio’s quote upon meeting the younger Fring. "The only reason you are alive and he is not is because I know who you are”. The twin who was not the correct individual was sent instead of the brother for the meeting.

The Fring “twins” also steered the agression of the twins Leonel and Marco Salamanca away from Walter and to Hank. What some refer to as twin talk or the secret understandings only twins relate to each other.

The killing of Victor, who was a possible cartel spy, was also the tactics of the brutal Guillermo Fring, not the generous Gustavo.

And the poor results of Hank Schrader’s tracking device on the Fring Volvo. Two individuals pretending to be one person could explain this.

The poisoning party. Don Eladio stated to his collegue to escort Fring to the bathroom so he would not get “lost”. During the party Gus slipped away after the drinks and they made the switch with his twin away from the house, only it took longer than expected so Gus stated that he got lost. Eladio then became suspicious.

Don Eladio realized he forgot about protecting himself from the other twin and a possible switch until it was too late.

It was “Guillermo” Fring not Gustavo entered the ad hoc Mexican hospital room when Jesse was examining Mike on the table. Gus may have even died and the twin Guillermo assumed the leadership of the business. It may explain the sudden change in behavior leading to the assassination attempt at the retirement center.

Sorry for the double post....

...wasn't aware that the first one posted (Regarding Walt and Gus's relationship)

At what point did Walt and Gus's relationship go bad?

I can't seem to remember exactly when Gus turned on Walt. Was it when he killed the two street dealers? Or was it because of Walt's loyalty to Jesse? Somebody remind me please...

Who is Max Arciniega?

Does everybody know about there being TWO Max Arciniegas connected to "Breaking Bad?" One is the actor who played Krazy-8. The other is a character from the show, one of the two "Chicken Brothers."
http://www.amctv.com/search#t=ALL&q=max+arciniega
Is this relevant?!?!

Pink/White stuffed animal

What is the significance of the pink/wht. stuffed animal in the opening? And the accident and corpses?

What exactly was the turning poing in Walt and Gus's relationship?

I thought I was a Breaking Bad authority but I can't seem to recall exactly what originally caused the split between Walt and Gus. Was it when Walt killed the two street dealers? Somebody remind me please...

Forward flashes?

Hi, I'm new to the show and wondered if someone could explain when the scenes with the pool at the beginnings of season 2 take place. Thanks

Walt Jr.

I think it would be interesting if Walt Jr. got addicted to meth.
