TUCO"S TWIN BROTHER GETS OUT OF PRISON!

Tuco has a twin brother who has been in a Gautemala Prison who is now being released. He is even WORSE than Tuco, and coming to Avenge his brother. Is that not a great idea for an episode or two?

Spoiler! *(this is a joke)

A fellow Breaking Baddict sent me a link titled SPOILER! It was a link to a news report of the death of a man with one of our favorite names! Thought it was funny ...

Best Charector?(omg I cant spell)

Im intrested in hearing what charector is ppls favorite or think is the most influencial. Just thought of how I had heard at one point that Jesse was meant to be killed of in the first season. Personally hes my fav and think the show would have been canceled wothout him. Thoughts?

A Fate Worse Than Death for Mr. White PART 2

(1) The Schwartz’s kitchen is heavily decorated with chickens, indicating a possible connection with LPH or Gus, who was also involved in scholarships for chemists (ie Gale). The Schwartz’s are very rich, connected and they not only “kept Walt’s secret” but lied to Skyler’s face about it.

(2) Gray Matter produces pharmaceutical products, necessary for making meth. I would not be surprised if Walt targeted one of the Schwartz’s warehouses as the site to steal methylamine from in S1. He would be familiar with the site, but more so, it’s another way of saying F*** You! Walt used thermite to melt through the lock, a process which could be linked to Tio’s pipe bomb. Using methylamine makes meth blue: it is only a matter of time before Hank discovers that too, given his mineral monomania, endless leads-following, and overall determination.

(3) Schwartz means BLACK. Gray Matter is derived from White + Schwartz. Black is a deeply entrenched theme & it will come back big time in S5. Black also symbolizes Walt and Jesse’s worst deeds: Jane’s choice color returned with Gale’s murder. Of the many books consuming Gale’s flat, black is a theme among the several visible titles (Black Like Me, Black Boy etc). Black is also the title of the song playing in the final scene of S4, with quite telling lyrics.

(4) The name Schwartz is German, and also a municipality in Germany, which will join Mexico & Chile in global plot contributions, with references a plenty to Madrigal and “Nazi zombies.” While I’d bet that Gale (and Beneke) are of German descent, Gale’s Notes mention a German pharmaceutical company (Hahnlein) and his LPH napkin has a serial number ending in “- GER.”

(5) This will be related to the themes of partnership and falling-out dissolution, demonstrated with Walt/Jesse and Gus with Max/Victor/Mike.

(6) In Peekaboo, Walt insists that “carbon is at the center of it all.” Just like White + Schwartz formulation, carbon is a combination of white/clear and black materials (diamonds and graphite). Like carbon, Gray Matter will ultimately be at the center of everything. Further supporting this, Walt resumes with the tale of H. Tracy Hall, who invented the synthetic diamond. As a work-for-hire, Dr. Hall’s discovery was compensated with a $10 U.S. savings bond, despite making General Electric a fortune. Feeling similarly screwed over by life and its carbon basis, Walt strongly identifies with Dr. Hall. I just have a hunch that Walt will get screwed again by the Schwartz’s, only this time via Madrigal, thus mirroring Hall and GE. Also, it has been implied that Walt’s cancer itself could be a consequence of working at Gray Matter.

As a final side note, recall how Walt admonished Skyler’s return to Beneke Fabricators because of potential exposure to harmful fumes. Not only does the theme of carcinogenic exposure in the workplace come back but Skyler dismisses it by insisting that Beneke’s installed a new ventilation system. Overall, suggests possible connections between Beneke, Gray Matter, LPH & Madrigal.

A Fate Worse Than Death for Mr. White?

There are consequences, and well, they are clearly coming! The only question is what fate lies ahead for the egomaniacal control-freak that is Walter White. His struggle to survive has come at some very steep costs, which he will ultimately have to pay for. I have a feeling that, fittingly and deservedly, Gilligan will impose a fate worse than death on Walt. But what would that exactly look like? I concluded that it would demand one specific component: Walt’s meth production has directly (and very disproportionately) benefited Gretchen and Elliot, either via Gray Matter or another company (maybe even Madrigal).

Recall how Walt’s logic for entering the meth underworld was to avoid taking “charity” from the Schwartz’s? As Skyler accurately quipped, Walt would rather sell drugs than take their help. But wouldn’t it just be the greatest karmic kicker if Walt has actually been fattening Elliot and Gretchen’s wallets (again!) this whole time?! Especially since Walt now demands that his loved ones take his (ill-gotten) gains as charity. Not only is Walt’s meth money paying for Hank’s expenses, but he tells Skyler that “all of the sacrifices that I have made for this family will be for nothing if you don't accept what I've earned." Her response? “I.F.T.!” Brilliant.

Among others, here are some of the main facts and underlying logics which support this theory:

If Mike Hadn't Been Shot Down In Mexico Gus Would Still Be Alive

It is IMHO that if Mike had NOT gotten shot down in Mexico he would have discovered the bomb strapped under Hectors wheelchair. Mike would have been much more thorough then Tyrus. I think Mike would have definitely discovered the bomb and that why he had to get shot down in Mexico. Otherwise the story line would have been UN-believable. Mike being the professional hit man that he is, very thorough.

Also about Skyler versus Marie. Marie may be a klepto, but at least Marie seems to be genuine concerned about Walt and herb husband Hank and Walt Jr, etc. When Gomez showed up to tell Hank that Tio Salamanca was down at the D.E.A. office and that he would only talk to Hank. I think the only reason Skyler said, I don't think this is a good idea. Was NOT because she was concerned for Hanks safety, but rather she was worried about Hank possibly getting info on Walt and even then she is only worried about herself getting caught and going to prison.

I've never been to crazy about Maries character, but on the last two episodes of season four at least Marie seems to be concerned about ALL of the family, not just herself, like Skyler.

I love it! but...

I love breaking bad, one of the best shows Ive seen ever. But does anyone else miss the way the show started? If youve used drugs/been an addict/ect.. the first couple seasons were so dead on I would have thought a junkie wrote it. I understand the show needs to develop and move foward but theres something about the rawness of the beginning that if brought back would make the show amazing again. I believe they have an opportunity to do that with the way s4 ended. I hope they go that way and not what would be expected as things become liked by the mass of idiots out there who know nothing of real life and have the show become a circus(as much as i hate to admit it, its getting very very close). Does anyone else know what Im talking about? Or do you all belong to the mass of idiots? Bobby 2yearsclean

Did I read something about "Breaking Bad" Christmas song parodies?

I'm not on Facebook, but someone mentioned song parodies there with "Breaking Bad" references. So I, of course, was inspired to do one of my own. "White" Christmas seems like a natural, so here's Walter White, Jr. having a not-so-merry Christmas Eve.

I've nightmares of a "White" Christmas,
listening to all the grown-ups fight..
All the joy is missin'
when you must listen
for police sirens in the night.

I've nightmares of a "White" Christmas.
Guess Santa lost our home address.
Well, it's sure not funny:
Mom took Dad's money
to help pay the I.R.S.

I've nightmares of a "White" Christmas.
May as well get a lump of coal.
As midnight's tick-tocking
Auntie fills our stockings
with dumb trinkets that she stole.

I've nightmares of a "White" Christmas.
Pull up the covers til it's light.
May you all just get through the night,
and may none of your Christmases be "White."

Does Anyone Else Think The Show Can Go Two More Full Seasons?

Two more Seasons of 13 episodes each and still have the same rhythm the show has maintained since the beginning and not go stale and ‘tread on water’ so to speak. My thoughts about this have been mixed lately but a part of me kind of feels as if the show can go two more full Seasons, but no more than that.
Before Season 4 began, I did feel like Season five should be the last, but then I felt different after its renewal.

I have something I have to admit. Personally, a short while after I heard the show was going one more Season, I fell into a small depression. I knew the show was going to end at some point, but still, I felt as if this show I was enjoying more than anything got deprived from its story; I was feeling like I just got dumped. I know it’s just a TV show but still, it wasn’t a good feeling. I still feel a little like that to be honest.

I’d really like to hear your commentary on this Br Ba fans. What do you think about the show getting one more Season? Speak your mind, Please! Oh, and Happy Holidays to Everyone!

The Cats In The Bag / And The Bags In The River

I just watched " The Cats In The Bag " and ""The Bags In The River " Once again. Those were the two episodes that kept me coming back for more. You know how you start watching a series and the enthusiasm dies. That did it for me. I had so much empathy for Jesse and Walt back then. The empathy is gone but I still love the show.

Driven by drug war, cops target pot smokers, brush off violent crime

More life imitates art imitates life:

Profits for police departments from the "War on Drugs" trump crime. Simply unbelievable. What else can be said?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/21/drug-war-incentives-police-violent-crime_n_1105701.html

"Arresting people for assaults, beatings and robberies doesn't bring money back to police departments, but drug cases do in a couple of ways. First, police departments across the country compete for a pool of federal anti-drug grants. The more arrests and drug seizures a department can claim, the stronger its application for those grants.

"The availability of huge federal anti-drug grants incentivizes departments to pay for SWAT team armor and weapons, and leads our police officers to abandon real crime victims in our communities in favor of ratcheting up their drug arrest stats," said former Los Angeles Deputy Chief of Police Stephen Downing. Downing is now a member of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, an advocacy group of cops and prosecutors who are calling for an end to the drug war.

"When our cops are focused on executing large-scale, constitutionally questionable raids at the slightest hint that a small-time pot dealer is at work, real police work preventing and investigating crimes like robberies and rapes falls by the wayside," Downing said.

And this problem is on the rise all over the country. Last year, police in New York City arrested around 50,000 people for marijuana possession. Pot has been decriminalized in New York since 1977, but displaying the drug in public is still a crime. So police officers stop people who look "suspicious," frisk them, ask them to empty their pockets, then arrest them if they pull out a joint or a small amount of marijuana. They're tricked into breaking the law. According to a report from Queens College sociologist Harry Levine, there were 33,775 such arrests from 1981 to 1995. Between 1996 and 2010 there were 536,322."

D.E.A. Launders Mexican Profits of Drug Cartels

D.E.A. Launders Mexican Profits of Drug Cartels

By GINGER THOMPSON
Published: December 3, 2011

"WASHINGTON — Undercover American narcotics agents have laundered or smuggled millions of dollars in drug proceeds as part of Washington’s expanding role in Mexico’s fight against drug cartels, according to current and former federal law enforcement officials.

The agents, primarily with the Drug Enforcement Administration, have handled shipments of hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal cash across borders, those officials said, to identify how criminal organizations move their money, where they keep their assets and, most important, who their leaders are.

They said agents had deposited the drug proceeds in accounts designated by traffickers, or in shell accounts set up by agents.

The officials said that while the D.E.A. conducted such operations in other countries, it began doing so in Mexico only in the past few years. The high-risk activities raise delicate questions about the agency’s effectiveness in bringing down drug kingpins, underscore diplomatic concerns about Mexican sovereignty, and blur the line between surveillance and facilitating crime. As it launders drug money, the agency often allows cartels to continue their operations over months or even years before making seizures or arrests.

Agency officials declined to publicly discuss details of their work, citing concerns about compromising their investigations. But Michael S. Vigil, a former senior agency official who is currently working for a private contracting company called Mission Essential Personnel, said, “We tried to make sure there was always close supervision of these operations so that we were accomplishing our objectives, and agents weren’t laundering money for the sake of laundering money.”

Another former agency official, who asked not to be identified speaking publicly about delicate operations, said, “My rule was that if we are going to launder money, we better show results. Otherwise, the D.E.A. could wind up being the largest money launderer in the business, and that money results in violence and deaths.”

Those are precisely the kinds of concerns members of Congress have raised about a gun-smuggling operation known as Fast and Furious, in which agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives allowed people suspected of being low-level smugglers to buy and transport guns across the border in the hope that they would lead to higher-level operatives working for Mexican cartels. After the agency lost track of hundreds of weapons, some later turned up in Mexico; two were found on the United States side of the border where an American Border Patrol agent had been shot to death."

Will The Season Ending Be Absolute Or Will It Leave A Door Open

Im wondering if the seasons end will close all the doors or leave an opening. What I mean is, will it be left open like the ending of the Sopranos or shut. Im betting money on shut
