Talk: Breaking Bad: November 2011
Season 5 - 6?
Anyone know if the final 16 episodes will be split over a two season calendar? 8 episodes followed by another 8 episodes the following year. I think I might like that considering it will keep the show going longer!
You have to wonder, if the fanbase keeps growing, maybe this show will continue past these upcoming 16 episodes.
Bryan Cranston in "GQ's" Men of the Year issue 2 years in a row!
The praise for "Breaking Bad" in the current issue of magazine "GQ" was mentioned in the latest media round-up in the blog section. But I think it's also worth noting that this is the second year in a row Cranston has appeared in this, the magazine's annual celebration of the "Men of the Year." Last year his portrayal of Walter White reigned as the year's top "Anti-hero," and this year he and some of his male castmates were the top "Badasses!" There's a really nice picture of Cranston, Aaron Paul (Jesse), Dean Norris (Hank), Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) and Jonathan Banks (Mike). What, no Saul? The issue is on newstands now.
More honesty needed about Drug War
I have only been able to watch thru season 3 of BB. But I think it is offensive that BB writers thinks we are so naïve as to believe the DEA is some sort of benevolent organization full of heroes. From the founding of the CIA after WW2 our country’s black budget has been funded by drug money and the DEA has been a major part of that corruption. It picks the winners and losers in the drug war based on political favoritism. The National Security State with its Drug War, Black Budget, etc has destroyed the rule of law in the USA.
Drop the DEA sponsorship and start showing the corruption from top to bottom. Enuf of the hero crap.
What Do You Love About This Show?
Tell the things that you like about this show compared to other shows that you have seen in past, like what does this show, show what other shows don't ?
Saul Goodman should have his own show!
Anyone else thinks a show with Saul Goodman as the main character, working all kinds of sordid little miracles, fixing all sorts of sordid little problems from all types of sordid people, would make an awesome show?
Like an evil Macguyver focused on covering up crime instead of solving it. :D
He's the most colorful character in BB, by a mile. I mean: "Now when i get anal polyps, i know what to name them?" How can you NOT give this guy his own show? lol
Don't think the law & order genre has seen that kind of action either...
yet.
My interview with Giancarlo "Gus" Esposito
Things are breaking good for him. read more here: http://www.acorn-online.com/joomla15/arts/features/108580-things-are-breaking-good-for-giancarlo-esposito.html
Like The Lone Ranger And Tonto
I imagine Walt and Jesse like Tonto and the Lone Ranger. The Lone Ranger always sent Tonto into town only to have misfortune fall upon him. Normally that was in the form of a 1st class butt whipping. Walt sends Jesse to Tuco after jesse tells him its a bad idea. Walt decides to meet Tuco in the junkyard even after Jess explains that the mall is better. People dont get killed , beat up etc at the mall.It goes on and on. . Bad idea. Jesse needs to stop being Tonto.
Sky and Ted
Does Sky even know that Ted is dead? Does Walt know, or is Saul keeping it a secret? Does it matter? Maybe Sky will think that Walt had something to do with it.

FYI.... I up until last week... had been using my Windows Explorer (8) and......YES I cleaned every area of my browser and Java out. I also had the technical support for my computer to check my web browser and computer and then we still got the same problems with this site when using IE8 and I know posters that are using Chrome have issues too. The guy said that for what ever reason AMC is not building their web site to be compatible with all browsers. SO.....they install Fire Fox for me and it works wonderfully.
Jesse: The most interesting character by far....
Jesse has morphed from an extremely annoying (yet realistic), teenage dufus into a semi-competent adult. His maturation has been one of the most interesting story threads thus far. Additionally, Jesse has integrity. Despite his drug-addled and annoying demeanor, he has consistently shown a core character comprised of decency. As strange as it may sound, he is a decent human being. It's displayed multiple times in his regard for kids. To the writers: thank you very very very much for an spectacular show! And please please keep Jesse consistent, yet dynamic/ Bravo for your efforts so far.... Bravo!
Vince says he doesn't know how it will end.

season five prediction
Breaking Bad's young male viewers have bemoaned the show's lack of sexy female characters so I predict that in season 5 we're going to see the kind of hot female characters we now see in The Walking Dead.
Can You Sell Drugs and Still be a Hero?
Both Walter White from Breaking Bad, and Nancy Botwin from Weeds: http://ourheroesjourney.wordpress.com/2011/11/21/can-you-sell-drugs-and-still-be-a-hero
Season 5 predictions and why did Anna Gunn get lip implants?
I think there is gonna be an EPIC showdown between Mike and the dynamic duo. Anyone? Also Anna Gunn's lips are distracting!! I'm not being mean. She ruined her face for no reason.
Walt VS. Jesse
The entire series has been about Walt and Jesse butting heads. Walt's secrets will finally come out in an unexpected way. Jesse will find out either through putting pieces together, or maybe Heisenberg will admit to all of his evil to in the midst of an argument to strike fear into somebody. I think Season 5 will have lot more Walter Junior. Jesse is Walt's psuedo-son, starting a vendetta against him would make him the ultimate bad guy in the show. I have a feeling, with gus out of the picture, Walt will take his place and have a bit of a power struggle with Jesse. I'm also predicting that Hank has a lot more up his sleeve than we expect. If he was willing to accuse the public image of gustavo fring, he would certainly entertain the notion of his brother in law doing some bad stuff.
Walt/ Heisenberg's Sunglasses
Does anyone know what brand or model of sunglasses Walt wears when he is in his Heisenberg get up?
Who could place Walt at Casa Tranquilla?
Could the laughing lady, living next door to Hector, ID Walt when the ATF investigates the bomb that killed Gus?
Mike on "Two and One Half Men"
I was surprised that Mike is going to be on "Two and One Half Men as a Pawn Broker. Weird. And, Hank is going to be on "The Mentalist"? Even weirder!!
Season 5 In The Writter's Room
I remember reading on the web that Vince Giligan and his six writter's won't begin production in Gran Via studios until mid November. That could be any day now, right? Does anyone have an idea to when our Breaking Bad story will continue by those masterful writters?

Season 5, yo!
A lot of people have been saying that there will be no meth cooking in season 5. I have to say i dont think that sounds right as there has been cooking since the very first episode of season 1. I dont know how or who or whatever but there will be cooking.
The biggest thing i'm trying to figure out is how it's all going to end. I think Walt's cancer will come back, I think Jesse will find out what Walt did to Jane and Brock(somehow), I think Hank will find out what's going on(maybe not till the last couple of episodes), I think Mike will return, I think there will be some kind of back lash from Gus' death, I think there will be a big showdown between Jesse and Walt but I dont think either of them will kill each other, I think Walt will die and Jesse will live but I dont know if he will die from his cancer or from something else... I just don't know how it will fit together!
I guess we'll find out in 2012.
What do you guys think?
Negro y Azul
Does anyone know where I can find a guitar tab or lesson for the opening song to this episode? Its called Negro y Azul by Los Cuates De Sinaloa.
Did I miss something or is this a big plot hole in s4?
Hey all, absolutely love BB and feel it deserves all the acclaim it's received and more. However, something has been nagging me for almost all of season 4 ....how are the Whites going to explain to the irs where they got the cash to buy a car wash? The writing and plotlines are usually so tight I feel I must have missed something at some point in the season, can anyone shed light on this?
Netflix
I just did 5 days of back to back episodes of Breaking Bad because my son got me hooked on it!!! You bet...started an IV, didn't have to peee because I put on a depends, and away I went!!! No, seriously, when is season 4 going to come out on NETFLIX??? It's KILLING ME!!! Isn't there another place to see season 4??? Thanks!! Teri in Virginia

Yawn, I am waking up. Look Out
WELL, WELL, WELL it is time to start making suggestions for music for season 5. I don’t believe the guys at BB are listening to us, or they would have found a place for this in last season, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8A9Y1Dq_cQ&ob=av2e , but oh well. To get some things started, how about this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eokQdFPNDM0&feature=related
HIGH TIMES names Breaking Bad Best Show Ever!
Check out the January 2012 issue of HIGH TIMES magazine. Breaking Bad was named best show ever. Better than The Simpsons or The Twilight Zone! On newsstands Nov 15.
Now what?
What do you all think will happen now?I wonder, cuz' Walt and Jesse have pretty much gotten as big-time as you can get,or have they?I guess they could set up their own operation,big-time,using their 'friends' from the super-lab down south of the border?I wonder....
Season 5 Spoilers
My main two contributions that I believe we will see in season 5 will be, Walter White using his new found business of car washing as a front for a new meth lab. He can purchase the chemicals in bulk no questions asked. He can also open up more car washing stations and open up distribution centres. The show is centred around Walt breaking bad and to leave the show with him just evading Hank and a few stragglers from the cartel would be pretty pathetic. You need that gradual rise. Breaking Bad modern day scarface story (Walt's got to die either way). And please don't bring in pointless sub-plot stories of Marie and her need to steal things, come on! A room full of writers and that's the best you can come up with. I believe Mad Men have the same issues with their female characters not having any real substantial plot. Making things up to use up time. Especially Draper's ex-wife just being a crabby bitch as usual by season 4. Anyway I divulge, the second part is quite evident, Walt's greatest challenge will not be the cartel it will be Gus' past. In episode 8 the only reason why Gus was not killed because Don Eladio knew who "HE" was. Obviously someone quite important from Chile. His father probably wanted to expand the operation. So his family or friends will come after Walt. The only thing I ask Mr Gilligan is don't turn season 5 of Breaking Bad like that of Dexter season 5. Overall it was fine but it was more of the same. And Dexter like Breaking Bad, probably more Breaking Bad finished season 4 with a bang and a very high note. And to continue on from this note would be very hard and just become mediocre instead of great. But still will be regarded in the top 5 shows of all time! Cryanston your a Legend! And the whole cast!
Breaking Bad; Sun Dec 4; AMC !!!
YAAY!! Although I've about wore out Netflix.
I've watched the first three seasons about
ten times now.
Reminds me when I was a kid and Star
Trek was in re-runs.
I still haven't got tired of BB yet.
In fact, some of my co-workers are even
considering having a BB party. All we
would need is a big screen with a decent
sound system and a cool place to party
for a day.
BTW, when is the next BB convention?
Elements outlined in the cast and credits
So what is element Ch as shown in the MiChael Slovis name as Director of Photography? This must be a new one, because I've never heard of it.
Albuquerque shoot scenes.
I live here in Albuquerque, both me and my nine year old son are huge fans of breaking bad. When we are driving around town, I like to show him where some scenes are shot, but I can't seem to recognize where the "Mexican lab" "Gus' temporary hospital" or what building the final scene was shot on. So I''m asking any of you locals who were involved in the filming, can give me an idea of where these places are, I would appreciate it. Also looking for "Don Ilados house" (can tell it's in placitas from the backround", and Tucos house where he held walt and jesse hostage in S2.
Season 4 Marathon?
Does anyone know if AMC will be airing a season 4 marathon this year? I just finished season 3 though netflix and I'm dying to start this next season! Thanks!
Jesse's jacket
What kind of jacket is jesse wearing in the last few episodes of season 4?
Whats in the batter?

breaking bad
whatbade hat is this show about
How was Saul hired?
I believe Saul is an arrest chaser (ambulance chaser) it seemed like Badger had no idea who he was or how he got there. Saul even says I am going to get you another phone call and you call whoever you need to call and pay my fees. If the first person Badger called hired Saul wouldnt Saul already know he was getting paid or at least said ____ sent me here? After Saul left the room he calls his assistant and says "this one went with a public denfender, the dealer went with me and i couldnt find the masterbator" I believe this is implying he is acting on arrest leads and soliciting the criminals. This would also go along with how sleazy Saul is. Anyone have any insight on this topic?
How was Saul hired?
My impression is that Saul was kind of arrest chasing. Like an ambulance chaser does. I saw it as Saul soliciting Badger. When he enters the room Badger has no idea who he is. So who sent him? it was'nt Jessie because he didnt find out until after. Plus is someone arranged for him to be there then why does Saul solicite payment from Badger "call whoever you need to call and my fee is..." Anyone else have any insight into this topic?
