Jesse is Walt's Son (?)
First, let me intro myself since this is my first post, and I thank all of you for your posts and discussion about the best show ever... Br ian from SoCal, just got hooked about 4 months ago (unemployed and got started on the late night viewings. CAPITAL, thanks AMC!). Anywho, I've been hooked like all of you, and after going through numerous posts about past shows, one thing did occur to me - Walt is looking out for Jesse as if he is his Dad (or family).
Point 1 - Why would he hold back the 480,000 from Jesse when he did? Walt had the recipe, he needed no one for "assistance" By that time, he had Gus for dist.
Point 2 - Why would Walt risk his own skin to save Jesse from the drug house when Mike told him "I'll take care of it, why dont you just go home?"
Point 3 - Walt and Gretchen were quite the brianiac/lovers item back in the day. Suppose that Gretchen did not want their love child (because of career concerns) and he was put up for adoption and eventually ended up at - the Pinkman's?
Point 4 - Jesse was in rehab, Walt came to him like a father (figure albeit)
Point 5 - in the bar, drinking with Donald, Walt says "nephew" more than once. But, they both agree - "family", you cant give up on family.
Am i put of my gourd or just on the right track?
Thanks,
BrBa Br ian
