Talk: Breaking Bad: July 2010
Cranston for Superman
Ive heard a rumor about that Mad Men guy... that he might be playing ol' Supes in a new Nolan/Goyer Superman flick... thats cool and whatnot, but I would rather see Cranston in that red cape.
...and the red briefs.
Isn't It Time?
I keep waiting and waiting........
However as of now no one from Breaking Bad has come out to give the viewers a valid explanation as to why we have to wait over a year to see a new season.
I think we deserve an explanation....not just lip service but an honest explantion as to why a popular will not return to the air for 13 months.
Of science and magic
There's a review in the current "Entertainment Weekly" of a new book called, "The Disappearing Spoon - And Other True Tales From The Periodic Table of Elements." Sounds like a book Walter White would like. The review quotes science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke's line, "Any suffiiciently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." And THAT reminded me of the Walt Whitman poem Gale recited to Walt the day they met in the lab. Here it is again:
Proof of just how influential Breaking Bad has become
http://kcpdchief.blogspot.com/2010/07/new-color-same-old-meth.html
In the last two months or so, police have started seeing a new trend in drugs in Kansas City: blue meth. It had shown up at a few other spots around the country, but we've only recently been recovering it around here. We haven't seen a huge amount, but it was enough that I wanted to tell you about it so you know to call police if you see something like it.
How was Walt going to kill Gale ?
We all know Walt didn't make it to Gale's but how did he plan to kill him ?
Unsolved Mysteries in Breaking Bad
Okay, there are a few that are bothering me that I don't think have been fully explained. I'll list the ones I'm thinking of, and if anyone's got an answer I'd love to hear it.
Due to overkill, I am not going to list whether Gale is dead or not, so I'm begging commentators to resist bringing that season finale mystery back to the drawing board. No offense intended, but there are still several topics on it if anyone still feels compelled to delve into the question of Gale's survival or not.
1. Is Donald Margolis dead?
2. Who called Hank before he was shot?
3. Beneke Fabricators advertise on Saul Goodman's website - do they launder money there, too?
4. Where is the pink teddy bear's eyeball these days?
5. Where is Tio? Is he dead?
6. Does Gus really have a wife and kids?
7. Is Hank's DEA boss crooked?
8. How much money does Walt have these days?
Any other little details, questions bothering you. Maybe is they're listed here, we might get a chance to have Mr. Gilligan answer them!
When does season 3 encore start? (Not on the amc schedule for July 25)
I'm new to Breaking Bad and have finally caught up to the end of season 2. I'm dying to watch season 3, and the website says an encore starts July 25. But it's not on the schedule?? :-(

Could be way off. Mad Men was also excellent this season, but I gotta back up BrBa. Also, although I don't hate these shows, i'll be mighty disappointed if Lost or Glee wins.
stupidity
I just have to say that I am seriously getting sick and tired of the constant stupidity, poor judgment, and bad decisions made both by Jesse, Walter, and even Skyler. The episodes get frustrating to watch. Why would Walt continue to work with Jesse after his constant blunders and screw ups. The series is getting frustrating!
Favorite Moment from Season 3?
It's a real toss up between Mike's look of shock when Walt orders Gale's hit or Jesse's expression when Walt shoots Gus' dealer in the head.
In either scene, the reactions were so real and so full of complete astonishment by the characters (Mike, Jesse) for not believing or seeing what's right before them, that it was truly thrilling to watch them.
Which scene blew you away this season?
Does anybody know if we could write directly to creators, etc?
My 24 year old brother in law was recently diagnosed with cancer. We have been watching Breaking Bad for about a year now. We're all really big fans of the show. Since his diagnosis he has mentioned to us that watching the first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad really prepared him for his chemo treatments. He identifies with Walt's character b/c he was so strong and that is just how he has been taking this ordeal. Of course, we don't agree with a lot of Walt's actions but he's still very entertaining. We bought him a black pork pie hat and glasses like "Heisenberg's". He asked me if there was a way he could thank the creator, writers, producers and/or actors for making this journey easier for him to handle.
Please check out my Breaking Bad video!
I just posted this last night. I hope you like it! Would like to hear what you think as well!
It contains spoilers for those who have not gotten to the Season Three Finale, so be sure to catch-up first!

What does everyone want to see in season 4?
I, myself, would like to see more flashbacks like when Walt and Skyler were inspecting there 'to be home' and we saw Walt's very high expectations. I would like to see more of an insight on Jesse's school/adolescent days and maybe when Walt was teaching him and what type of experiences/relationships they had together.
MERCH!!!!!
There was a Los Pollos Hermanos T-shirt floating around here a while back, and now that I am in the game for a new T-shirt, I cant find it here. Nor can I fond it elsewhere on the interwebs...
Someone here has to know something...
...right?
What I Did for Summer Vacation...
AKA: What we're all doing to pass the L-O-N-G, lonely time between Seasons of "Breaking Bad"...*sigh* =(
Rescue from the Lab ?
Will Jesse,Gale,Badger and Skinny Pete use chemistry to rescue Walt from the Lab ?
Do you think if Hank ever busted Walt, would he arrest him?
I don't think he would. I don't think Hank wants to be a cop anymore. It would be cool if he teamed up with Walt on the other side of the law.
Breaking Bad Anonymous - this has to be a mainstreamer!!
AMC, you have to pick this up. This is toooo funny! It gives us all an outlet to spill our guts between seasons, but also keep it in the genre of the meth/addict persona. It's genius. Add it to the main page !
All the great and sometimes eccentric music on BB
who is the genius behind it all?

Spoiler: What really happens at the end of Season3
Am i the only one to notice that Jesse doesn't shoot Gail,
the bullet goes into the stove/oven and explodes.
The explosion kills or wounds Gail and possible Jesse.
The camera view from the stove to the door before Gail opens it is very important.
Jesse will try and make it look accidental or possible try to end his own life too, two birds with one stone. At the very least Gail is going to get hurt.
The gun angle is down and to Gails left right where the stove is...can't wait for the next season :) Best show ever!!
