Talk: Breaking Bad: May 2010

Breaking Bad Real Life Places

Hello everyone. As I have been browsing through the talk pages I have noticed that some of our bright BB fans (most notably cowaski and madisonavenuewoman) have been supplying us with some of the real life locations of epic BB places, so we can go look at them on Google Earth (or Google Maps, street view). Well I decided to create a place where anyone who has been browsing the ABQ on google earth and finds a real life BB location can post it here.
Here are the few places that I have seen already posted:

Street corner where Combo gets shot:
35° 4' 37.16" N
106° 39' 1.67" W

Car wash that Walt worked at:
35° 6' 29.9592" N
106° 32' 8.5596" W

Taco Sal:
35° 6' 34.5024" N
106° 32' 1.8996" W

Just copy/paste the coordinates into Google Maps and there you will be able to see BB places in real life. Anyone who finds anymore real life places, feel free to post here.

season 4?

Please tell me there will be a 4th season. Just from what I saw last night, there's to much left unresolved for just 2 more episodes!

Gus' address and his advice to Walt

Did anyone notice that Gus' address was 1213. Those are the numbers of the two remaining episodes of this season. His advice to Walt, "...don't make the same mistake twice..." must surely refer to the black male threat made by Jane and the way that Walt handled it last time and how he should handle the new black male threat from Jesse.

Talk about Episode 10, "Fly."

The Series

Is Breaking Bad coming to an end of the series or the season end?

Say it ain't so!

I've seen the TV spots saying "only 3 episodes left" of Breaking Bad left. Someone please tell me they're just talking about season 3. It's my favorite show on TV right now. Season 4, .... right????

Enough!!!

GEEZZZ Enough of the freakin' Breaking Bad crap on the movies!!! I love the movies on AMC but ENOUGH with the Breaking Bad crap that shows up on EVERY commercial and the crap in the bottom lower left side of the tv screen!!! Enough is enough!!! Not everyone wantts to watch that Breaking Bad crap!!! They simply like the movies!!!! ENOUGH!!!

Breaking Bad Spoofs- BB AS A Comedy

Here are 3 clips that show what BB might be like as a comedy.

I know others have posted some of these in other threads but thought some people might like to see them for the first time.

I Missed two episodes!

I'm still in the dark ages, I've video taped ever episode. Because I was in the hospital the last two weeks, I missed them. Can someone tell me if they will be showing another mini marathon like they showed this year after the fist five episodes? I need to tape them at least till can afford to get off poverty row and buy the set.

Season 4?

Is there going to be a season 4? If there is when will it start? Maybe in fall of 2010..? anyone know

Parking at the Laundry

How come Walt and Jesse both park their cars on the loading dock. It seems they would be in the way. And they would be very noticeable. Walt and Jesse both need Lab Cars(cars they only drive to work). and they need to park with everyone else.

anyone found the Walter profile vector "BAD" shirt yet? looks frickin' awesome

Walt fell down hard!!

Boy, I sure was surprised when Walt fell off that cat walk. He sure wanted to get that fly. I didn't think he would fall. But he did anyway. Yuk!! Yuk!! That sure was unexpected. Then the sound he made when he hit that big ole cistern sure was loud. BOOM, THUD AND THEN GRUNT!!! HA! HA! I hope we can continue to enjoy this level(or dare I wish for an even higher level) of entertainment in the last remaining episodes of the third season. I prefer Breaking Bad to all my other shows. Sometime I just don't understand the jokes on shows like "Hee Haw".

Fantasy or Reality? Walt meeting Janes dad?

Do people think that the actions Walt was talking about, like him seeing Jane's father were random, fantastical in some sort of way? I think they were random, not divine intervention or ghost spirit magic. I don't believe in that stuff... What do you guys think?

PEST!

THAT WOULD BE ME!
This show has so many folks in the world who care. The BP oil spill has killed alot of everything. Wherever you are this world this is the worst disaster ever to hit America in modern time's. All of the lands are suffocating be they above or below the water line. Don't forget that the Mississippi River hits the Great Lake's! The place with the most natural fresh water lake's and springs and crawdad's ever! This whole offshore oil is totally a non question. Speak and send everything you got to help! Writing to everyone I know is the only way to do it!!!!!!!!! Sincerely TWEEDS!

Walts Health

Anyone beside me starting to worry about Walt's health?
The truck?
The Fly?
Jesse's storytelling???
I hate to think of it but realistically he's been awful healthy of late for a guy looking a matter of weeks to live not so very long ago?
Thoughts?

Oh and drop by and give a listen to my "Fly" thoughts.

Who are we rooting for now

I am always rooting for the underdog, In the beginning walt was up against impossible odds and i was on the edge of my seat hoping he would not get caught or killed. Now that Walt has beat cancer had enough money to quit and decided to get right back into the business he has just become a lab monkey gone bad cooking meth when he should be doing something productive. Hank is now the underdog and has to overcome impossible odds, so i am now rooting for Hank to catch them, and i think he will do it through jesse dealing meth on the streets.

Sure, "it's JUST a TV show, but....

I find (being a die hard fan of a dozen television series myself over the years) it interesting how so many of us get so wrapped up in the "lives" of fictional characters who really don't exist

I mean they are presented to us on a weekly basis (or daily in syndication) and depending on the show, they live on in games or monthly novels or some fans go ahead and write fan fiction, which continues the characters in other websites

Season 3 Episode 10 - Positive Discussion

Since the official thread for this episode is fully off the rails and full of whining. This thread is for the people who have actually enjoyed the episode.

Speaking of finales

Eventually, Vince Gilligan will get a greenlight for a final season. When that happens, he and the writers will be able to head towards an ending to this series and wrap up all the loose threads and storylines.

Now, no series can ever make all of the viewers happy. (Sopranos proved that) but what do you hope happens?

Fly metaphors ( Episode 10 specifically)

In defense of the people who 'didnt get it" that the show seemed to be just an obsession with one little fly, this series (to me) is like a novel for television

Season 3 Episode 9 - Open Thread

Talk about Episode 9, "Kafkaesque."

om...g

breaking bad is on in 15 minutes!! ..I'm frothing at the mouth.

Lots of great actors on BrBa, but IMO the best one is....

Anna Gunn.

Like many here, I'm not a big fan of Skylar. But I've been focusing on Anna's performance this season and in my view, her portrayal of Skylar is pitch perfect. Everything she does - from line reading to body language to timing to reaction shots - is money. :)

Anyone else agree?

Are Skylar and Walt back together?

For all of Walt's and Skylar's fights, they really do feed off of one another. As Skylar was telling her tale of high rolling gambling, card counting, etc...., Walt was squirming with uncomfortable delight. Skylar was letting him have credit for his effort and letting him back into his family. In return, Walt revealed his true earnings,"7 figures". Until then, Skylar only thought he had +/-400k.

The"Fly" Is Jesse the contaminant?

I wonder if Jesse is the contamination that Walt is obsessed with? Right under his nose. He is a bit of a Fly, aka pest don't you think? I love Jesse's character though. Don't want to see him get killed by Walt... Wild guess...

So there I was, just shopping at the Home Depot when...

So there I was, just shopping at the local Home Depot, when in the corner of the parking lot what do I see, but the spitting image of the meth lab RV!!!!!!
I couldn't believe my eyes. Here in my lowly home town, the exact replica, although shorter, Winnebago, right down to the paint colour and balding tires. The door was open and there was a guy in coveralls who seemed to be working on it, so I had to pull up and strike up a conversation about the RV and the Breaking Bad show. Turns out "Bob" is a bit of a tweaker himself. He's never heard of the show because he doesn't have a tv in his RV. He lives in his RV, goes south in the winter and north in the summer. Bit of a wanderer this "Bob" is. About the same age as our friend "Walt" too. So, if you see a mini meth lab, rolling down the highway with Ontario plates on it, wave to "Bob" and say hi from me.

The previews make a point

How come the preview makes a point of showing the Los Pollos Hermanos logo? Is there a Brother out there we need to meet?

Walt's big talk

When Walter and Gus have their meeting, Walt is really over reaching. He says he has figured everything out and he says he would have done the same thing. And, he respects the strategy. But, Walt is an idiot. He really is out of his league. It is only a matter of time before he dies or Gus kills him. I think he knows that, and that is why he drove so recklessly.

Los Pollos Hermanos 'Ask for Gus' T Shirt!

It's about time some decent Breaking Bad shirts hit the online stores...
http://www.zazzle.com/los_pollos_hermanos_tee_shirt-235263111874182081

Now if we can just find that awesome Walt White "BAD" Tee (a la' Andre the Giant "OBEY") that would be the ultimate!

Hank's Ringtone

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the ringtone used on Hank's cell phone in Episode 306 "Sunset"? I am referring to the ringtone that he has assigned to calls from his wife Marie. (He just uses a standard ringtone for other calls).

Walt's "Suicide Attempt"

At first it seemed Walt really was considering killing himself by playing chicken with the semi-truck...but, the expression on his face wasn't a look of "bracing himself for the impact".
Did anybody else think it looked more like he was starting to pass out? Is there a chance his cancer is out of remission & now growing in his brain?

Funny how Jesse had a reality check

One scene I found funny and ironic last week was when Jesse added up the profits (split with Walt- the 3 million and his half would be 1 million and a half) and he discovered that no matter where you go in life, there will always be a "boss" (in this case, Gus) who will always be making much, much more than you do.

Not fair of course, but then, life is rarely fair from the blue collar point of view

Sound quality this season

I hope someone in production reads these. While I realize there's always the attempt to create the most realistic effect possible, when I have to turn the volume up as loud as it will go in order to hear the 'private' conversations among characters on Breaking Bad, it borders on the ridiculous. People--we aren't stupid. We KNOW it's really only television, so please, sound supervisors, let us in on the conversations without having to manipulate the volume control all the time!!

Pamala's Breaking Bad Episode Thoughts

Put way behind by being sick, including narrowly escaping a trip to the ER, I fell so far behind on show links that I figure its time to offer a new poy.

Pamala's Breaking Bad Episode Thoughts on Talk Radio

If you've listened in the past I'm interest and very curious if you have an feedbacks or suggestion on the last few shows of season three. Anything?

Question on insurance?

Know that Walt's profits helped him pay for his hospital bills and give his family security. But as a teacher wouldn't he have had alot of life and health insurance to pay and handle most of his concerns?

Lawn Mower Noise

Has anyone else noticed the distant sound of a lawn mover whenever something bad is about to happen? I wonder if the writers are foreshadowing a murder scene that will involve a lawn mower....

The end is near!!! Boycott!

As fantastic as this season of Breaking Bad has been, I'm starting to get very nervous that they are going to leave us with some huge cliffhanger again at the end of this season just like they did last season! ...And then they make you wait 9 months to find out what happens! That's just cruel and unfair! To protest this outrageous and unjust treatment I am announcing my plans for a 6 DAY BOYCOTT of Breaking Breaking Bad to commence IMMEDIATELY! Please join me in a show of solidarity against the evil decision-makers at AMC who tease us with the best show we have ever seen... and then TAKE IT AWAY for nine months!

From now until the end of the boycott, which will end Sunday at 10pm, we shall REFUSE to watch ANY NEW EPISODES of Breaking Bad unless AMC agrees to give us MORE episodes next year, SOONER than 9 months from now!

Who's with me?

Breaking bad and Music

http://8bitcollective.com/music/0010100/To%20Crash./

Just found this, thought it was quite interesting. Anyone else know of any other songs that have used samples from bb?

Do you think this show is Appauling???

I think this tv series is for the dogs....Breaking Bad glories making chemical drugs and distrubting drugs. American Society nowdays has no moral!!! I don't think this show should be on the air. Honestly, I am surprised that AMC would allow this. Even though, I do not watch this show, the previews are enough to turn your stomach. What does this teach our children that its okay to smoke meth? Or deal it and make fucking tons of money while killing other people. Why doesn't Breaking Bad show the true reality what meth does to individuals and families? Besides that goof that sells it in the show.

Walt knowing Gus' Family would be a balance of power

Walt's afraid for his family
Walt is now aware that Gus knows this
Even though Gus NEEDS Walt's magic formula, I'm thinking the writers are going to give Walt an edge over Gus (aside from the fact that he KNOWS Gus' operation. I'm talking something personal here)

Season 3 Episode 8 - Open Thread

Talk about Episode 8, "I See You."

Behind sch maybe because Jesse is dipping in

Does anyone else think that what jesse is talking about doing is stealing some of the blue sky he and walt are making? And thats why they are behind

is there any FULL episodes on this website? I missed an episode

Yes, there's gas in the car

One for that Breaking Bad/Steely Dan crossover demographic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV3o1cEbtmE

For god's sake, stop the actors' mumbling!

Seriously, either fire your sound guy, buy more body mikes or send the actors for some projection training. I've actually stopped watching the show when it airs because I know I'll have to rewind the bloody thing to hear what all the mushmouthed mumblers are saying!

Before anyone says it- I'm not old and going deaf, I'm 35 and my wife & son are being forced to rely upon me to interpret many lines. Jessie and Hank have excellent projection but Walter, his ex-wife and Marie are just getting ridiculous. It's actually easier to understand his son despite his speech impediment!

This is not a flame, I love the show, but if the viewers can't understand what the actors are saying then the show is on shaky ground. Fix, please.

New Drinking Game. Fellow BEE -AU-CHEZ'ZZZSS!!!!

Every time Jesse uses the B word in any context, One must slug down a shot and smoke a hit of POT off a pipe of any sort. Or not. Just do a mental smooth hit if you so chooze. But as I've met so many old and new people who are totally into BB. The one word that come's up in conversation is how great Jesse say's the B word and quite often.

What's next for Gus?

He's wiped out most of his competition, except for Tio.

And speaking of Tio, what's his beef with Gus? "Never trust a South American"?

Where did Gus even come from?

What are your favorite scenes or lines, funny or serious?

After Jesse had been kicked out of his house, the scene showing Jesse climbing the fence at Clovis''s tow yard so that he could sleep in his RV.

He got up and over the fence and stood on top of the port -a-potty and promptly fell through the roof and into the holding tank full of stink and blue water. That was hilarious.

Jesse's wardrobe

It was cool to see Jesse wearing some of our old favorite wardrobe items, like the jack o'lantern shirt and a familiar hoodie. His scene getting dressed to leave the hospital evoked his unclad scene on "Big Love" this past season, but wasn't as revealing. If he had to wear underwear, it seems they should have at least had skulls on them! :-)

Gus's Car

Did you make the connection with the car that Gus drives and his personality? Volvos are known to be SAFE, DEPENDABLE, and...well...BORING.
I think it's a planned choice by Vince G. that Gus drives a Volvo...and a STATION WAGON at that!. That's the most boring Volvo EVER. Gus is all about being careful and safe. He wants to be in control at all times. The perfect car for Generalissimo Chicken Man.

Gustavo = Scarface?

Does anyone else see Gus getting a little to big for his britches and causing way to much trouble? I think he may end up meeting the same fate as Tony Montana real soon for his arrogance.

The Heisenberg Effect

Let's face it......the creation and evolution of Heisenberg has had devastating consequences for those closest to him or who have had contact with him.

Those people aren't recovering either, but instead disintegrating pretty rapidly from the ripple effect of Heisenberg's activities.

I missed something-No Goofs!

OK, indeed this was not a goof it was a mistake on my part as I went back and watched it on the big screen (have them all on DVR). Jesse is most definitely using a cordless phone which is without a doubt hooked to a land/hard line. Apologies to all for wasting your time, should have known the writers wouldn't have made such an error I still can't believe I missed this. Also should have played this back on the 50" before posting. Last night was forced to watch it at my friends place on his small 19" TV which simply doesn't do the show justice to begin with.
With apologies, Jody Clarke

Did I miss something or catch a "goof"?

Before I begin let me state that regardless Br Ba is by far the best television series I've ever seen in my 36 years of life. The potential "goof" in question is when Jesse makes his debut arrival to the lab and is questioning Walt about how the cellular service is in the lab- Jesse: "How's the cell service down here?" Walt: "It's non existent we're shielded. There's a hard line for emergencies" Yet in subsequent scenes Jesse places several phone calls from the lab via what looks to be his cell phone. Question is was this a simple goof, did I miss something, or is it possible that Walt had his own agenda for telling Jesse this possibly to keep him off his cell phone while in the lab? As mentioned even if it was an overlooked script detail, not only is it minimal it takes absolutely nothing away from the show simply wanted some input from the Br Ba community.

Junior isn't a kid anymore

In this episode, Walt Jr. didn't look or sound like a baby-faced kid anymore. I was pretty shocked at his height, and that he really looks like an adult....something the writers and producers couldn't "create" on cue, he's just looking that way. But, it'll certainly work well for the realism of Junior's reactions and behavior to what's happening with his parents. I think Junior is going to challenge Walt much more than he was doing with Skyler, since Hank's situation happened......but I can't imagine what he'll do. All the important people in his life (Walt, Skyler, Hank) are crumbling, and not really "present" for him, and I can't imagine how he's coping. He may look and sou

Why does Walt still have blue tape on his windshield?

Walt is OCD. Why is this not translating to the care of his car? He's been driving with the broken windshield too long. He's driven with the spare tire waaaaay too long. Now he's driving with blue tape on the windshield for the third episode. What's with that? Ok, we get that he had the glass replaced again after Jesse's hissy fit at Saul's but come on, is he waiting to get pulled over by rambo cop again?

Mike is in a new orbit

Mike got a lot more dangerous on Sunday. In addition to all of his mad skills, we now know he is also a killer. It was brilliant how Gus got all of the cops out of the way with free food, while Mike did his job .

Nitpicking on "realism".

Two things here:
One- Why didn't Hank have a personal sidearm, you know, a backup gun in his sock or vest?
Two- The cellphone breaking thing. Whenever the cellphones have been used for incriminating purposes, the people just break them in half and throw them away? A least Tuco took the battery out. Nevermind the phone records.... I don't care, the show is good.
I can't wait for the "ending".

"no DEA allowed in here"

I loved it when marie said this. There was another great quote later on too that I cant remember. YOu think the DEA is going to turn up the heat on Jesse b/c of what happened to hank? Or are they going to focus south of the border, at their cartel bust thanks to the chicken king? Oh man, Walt has a lot to look out for now! How is he gonna keep up with it all?
What was Mike dropping in his scene too? a syringe? He should really be more carefull about finger prints. A great episode, although this one didn't blow me away like the last 3 did

Do you think someone chopped off those legs?

Granted...Hank rammed that one cousin pretty good last week, when he backed into him and slammed him into the car behind, rendering him handicapped while the other cousin got shot in the head by hank....and then the axe fell and stuck into the pavement near hank, who then fell unconcious.

THEN--- we get that horrifc scene in the hospital tonight, where the cousin spots Walt and throws the covers aside and crawls from the bed to kill Walt!

Skinny Pete song and car

Does anyone know what song was playing in Pete's car when he picked up Jesse? Also, what kind of car was that? That thing was pimp!

walter jr.

does walter jr have cerebal palsey in real life?

Season 3 Episode 7 - Open Thread

Talk about Episode 7, "One Minute."

the cartel brothers

did he just crawld of the hospital bed with no legs that wuz baddazz cant wait for next episode

Walt is going to figure out why Hank was shot

Walt is going to put that together easily. And when he does he is going to have to make sure his whole family is safe. Does anyone else think he might end up telling hank once Hank is better or awake? Or that they might have to go on the run because the cartel isn't going to stop. In the preview for ep 8, Gus says he prolly won't live, any chance he is talking about Hank, like that know that Hank has killed one of the twins and crippled the other he is a dead man waiting. And the Cartel told the twins not to touch the DEA, they are going to figure out why the disobeyed orders, Gus might be in life or death condition!

Just a crazy coincidence, I went to rehab when Jesse did

I have watched this show since it started, and had drug problems for a long time. Meth was something I never tried, and if I wasn't sure this show made my decision ha! But I did end up on heroin and I got on a waiting list to go inpatient treatment and it took 3 months to get in, and I went in and got clean 3 nights after that episode aired that Jesse went in. CRAZY, So I have luckly stayed clean since then much like jesse, but I think he might not last much longer clean on show

skull boots

Where can I buy the boots and/or skull boot caps that the cousins wear?

Dipping his pen in company ink

Since Jesses came to the lab, Walt has been absent. Walt spends his time at the hospital and then comes to the lab late, if at all. Jesse is taking up all the slack. Some one is going to need a pick me up to get through this rough patch. Will Walt bust his cheery and try his own product or will Jesse relapse??

Watching episodes

So, can we no longer watch episodes any where online for free? Or am I missing something?

Notice the time on Hank's clock?

When he was having his little visit and the episode number :)

I want one of the silver bullet USB drives!!

Aw man! That's just awesome. I got to get me one of those. Will the Br Ba team come up with more contests so I can win one? Earn one? Steal one? Buy one? How about a game online that I can play every day to earn points to buy one, to give me something to do to kill the time between episodes? What do you say Vince? Clayton? Can I ? PLEASEEEEEE

Similar Police Brutality in Real Life.

It seems like everyday now there's a new viral video of a peace officer overstepping the power and authority granted to them by the constitution. One in particular reminded me of Hank's attack on Jesse. You can watch it here:

I am starting to get curious about Victor. Just who is Victor??

Victor (played by Jeremiah Bitsui) is a loyal henchman to Gus. He first appears in season two as a seemingly fellow customer in Los Pollos Hermanos when he suddenly confronts Walter and tells him where to deliver a large amount of meth. In season three, he continues his work under Gus, ordered to give money to Walter for Jesse's meth as a way to convince Walter to cook again.

A lot has been made of the fact that in some way or another Mike was involved with the warning to Hank. Takes a particular set of skills to track the killer's movements. Any speculations on the origins of Mike?

Spoiler Thread

Can that be taken off this site please? It told what actually happened in the show last week before I could see the show. I've been to some spoiler's that have been inaccurate for shows before. They've been on the various spoiler sites for other shows. Isn't it better to keep people guessing? Conversing? Imagining? That's part of the whole joy of this show. No element of surprise and amazement? Gee Whiz, is all I'm saying. I love a great story and don't read the last page of a good book when I've started it, though I've been tempted, I can wait till the end. It's all mental masturbation, and as everyone knows here I totally love my mental masturbation's!
Tweeds

Last thing the twins said to one another.

The last thing the injured twin said to his cousin was "termines" or "terminos". The closed caption said it meant finish him. And, it does. But, terminate and termines sound a lot alike and in the preview we see bloody stumps dragging across the hospital floor. If the surviving twin is in the same hospital as Hank, maybe he will drag himself to Hank's room to "finish him" just like The Terminator did before he got crushed in the giant press. I wonder if he will get crushed also. Maybe in the trash compactor or maybe, like the RV, in a giant press at the wrecking yard..

the Cousins' pistol

anyone know what pistol it is that the cousins use? looks kinda like a government colt 45

To the Nit-Pickers, Fact Finders and Fault-F******

People like to nitpick the episodes for scenes that werent "Perfectly Realistic". Im not one of those. But if you go back and watch the last scene (Hank fighting twins) and watch the part where the one twin is raising the axe above his head to finish off Hank, I found 2 noticable flaws...but then again i didnt notice them while i was watching the scene, cuz i was so captivated, so great work Vince. But for shits and giggles and because im bored, they are as follows:

SMOKEN!!!

If Badger thinks he is the "Lord Of the Dance", then he really does not know what Heisenberg is capable of. Bow before your master Badger, if he were any larger or bluer, he would be a Jolly Rancher! See comments for link, YO!...

"I See You" double meaning? Intensive Care Unit?

What do people think about the title for show 8?
I see you, and ICU, must have a double meaning for the characters in some way... There is a puzzle here and I am trying to figure it out, like last season's title riddle, to see if there are any patterns.
I think that Hank ends up on life support or in the ICU perhaps... maybe in a coma. What do you guys think?

Is Saul slipping?

Up till now Saul has always given the impression of being incredibly resourceful and knowing exactly what to do in any given situation. Whether you find him entertaining or loathe him, you can't take the fact that he always seems to have an answer away from him. However, in the last couple of episodes he seems to be slipping a bit. In the previous episode, he caved to to Walt's percentage terms way too easily. In this last episode he actually seemed perplexed after Jesse's dramatics in the hospital room. No fast, confident, witty one-liners to diffuse the situation. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he actually looked like he was at a loss for words. Any thoughts?

What is Yo?

No, not a song by the Tower of Power, but musings on just what this word may mean . . .

"Breaking Bad" meets "American Idol"

The mention of a "meth cook-off" between Walt and Jesse has sparked a bizarre scenario in my mind: The guys face off on "American Idol," each serving his product to the panel of judges. They never get to name a winner, though, because after the judges try the first batch, the show devolves into chaos. Randy Jackson declares it "just a'ight,"" but Ellen DeGeneres goes into Badger's "Lord of the Dance" routine;, and Simon Cowell has a Tuco-type reaction, proceeding to destroy the entire set and kill the conestants, the other judges, AND Ryan Seacrest. with his bare hands.

& Dean Norris Steals the Show

I must say... He has really brought this character to the center of the stage this season. As far as his character goes, the poor guy is just trying to get the meth off the streets. I feel much sympathy for Hank Shrader. He's one of those funny guys with an strong personality that everyone likes to be around. It's been sad to see him change and then right as he starts seeing things clearly, the poor man gets shot. I keep wondering... in movies with sequels and tv shows like this... someone has to die. Eventually... otherwise it's to unrealistic. And it has to be one of the main characters. And I was wondering if Episode 7 was going to be the one that does it, all the way up to the last second. With that said... I'm glad he lived, or so it seems to be. Although it seems necessary, I don't want to see ANY of the characters go. I think they can get by with having a shootout and a character getting severely injured as opposed to writing them off completely. It goes without saying... The show must go on! For many many seasons. Please.

Think they might send Gomez after Jesse when he gets back from El Paso?

How about that Hank? Hes a pretty stand up guy huh? Just gonna face his demons and march on, best he can. ha jk he's a pig! He got what he had coming, but at least he's hospitalized and off the force for a while. Think they might send Gomez after Jesse when he gets back from El Paso? Bad things might be in store for the chicken king though, if the Salamanca kid talks. Could Walt take over his job? This episode is my new fav, just like the one before it, and the one before that one. Just wondering, was that junkyard in last week the same one that Walt originally picked to deal w/ Tuco? because things tend to go full circle, and this show is not an exception. Pristine writing, I hope they keep flashbacks as opening scenes. Love this show, but not hank. Best season ever of the best show on tv!

When the whip comes down

Unless I'm mistaken or missed something, isn't it true that Walt does not have the slightest idea that he is a wanted and hunted man by the cartel?

How long do you think Walt is going to be left in the dark and protected from this information by Gus, Mike and maybe Saul. Or is Saul in the dark, too?

Do you think Hank being gunned down is going to prompt Walt to possibly put 2 + 2 together, and get the picture or not? Somehow, incredibly, Walt seems to still be wrapped in a kind of naivete about the consequences of who his associates are across the table (Tio, Gus, cartel) and not reallize it is all about life and death outcomes. Could he protect himself without the secret aid of Gus, Mike, and Saul. Or will he bring his brother-in-law in the fold as protection? Would he dare?

Who tipped off Hank?

What's your theory about the identity of the caller who warned Hank that the Cousins were on their way with their axe?

Poor Gale, we hardly knew ya!

I used to think Walter was just a sad sack who got dealt a bad hand. I really felt sorry for him. His crappy job and crappy car and crappy house made him seem like a victim. But, his handling of Jesse's threat to turn him in, shows just how stupid he is. To fire Gale and bring in that numbskull Jesse is just retarded. Gale was the first smart, funny and agreeable character on the show. Compared with a character like Tuco or Spooge, Gale was a welcome change. I agree with Saul. Walt should have looked into other options in dealing with Jesse's threat. I don't feel sorry for Walter anymore, he will get what he earns. The consequences of that decision will be everyone's downfall.

Dare I say? This generations Godfather saga

The Godfather (arguably) continues to be just a big a classic as it was in the seventies. In fact, it continues to grow in popularity as each decade passes.
But I dare say that Breaking Bad could become this generations "The Godfather'

Don't you think so?
After all, Godfather is full of criminals you love to hate/admire/be jealous of etc...
It also had the best of the best writing for its time. Writing that even today lives on and transends anything that has tried to emulate it. A dozen quotes from the films have continued to be spoken today such as "go the mattresses" "A man who does not spend time with his family is not a man" among others

I think we are watching a classic. Enjoy the ride.

Opinions?

Maries finest moment

I have to give Marie her due. In this last episode, Marie really shinned! Her support for Hank is really admirable and shows the true depth of her character. In the past I have really bagged on her, called her Insane and so forth, but I really do love Marie...

Tio, Chickenman and the South Americans

Help me out here, folks....what is Tio's full name, and who is he, really? The head of the family Tuco is from and also the head of the cartel? Does Gus Fring originall hail from South America, where his business references seemed to come into play in order to do business with Tio and the cartel?

I think in the end, whatever Gus' business plans, Walt is going to end up taking his place, and maybe even Tio's family and the cartel, as far as being the most powerful drug supplier in the southwest United States.

Lastly, if Hank's career ends up being over as he's shunned out of the DEA, do you think Hank would ever end up on the other side of the law playing muscle or clean-up for Heisenberg?

Jesse's dark future (slight spoilers)

Interview with Aaron Paul:

Shit. Jesse is my favorite character and I'm both excited and scared to see where this is going.
Hopefully Jesse won't do something so horrible he becomes totally irredeemable. Aaron Paul makes Jesse so sympathetic despite all the mistakes he's made, I have faith that he will remain somewhat sympathetic no matter what.

The RV

We all saw it happen, the RV being crushed! Crushed a piece of my heart to see it go. I think that if there are any pieces of it still around it they should be put up for auction on ebay or the equivalent of ebay and the proceeds going to a charity. So much great TV happened in the RV.

Why I dislike Agent Henry R. Schrader

You know, I am not getting much support in my "disliking" of Agent Henry R. Schrader thing. And, I am even getting some flack about having a problem with authority. So let me list the reason's I despise Hank and then you can tell me I am wrong.
1. Hank is a sworn officer of the law. Yet, he harbors a criminal and enables her to continue to commit theft. She steals from the people he is suppose to protect, while he claims "....we are getting help with that...." Anyone else would get their help down at the County Jail.
2. Hank is a vulgar, black hearted demon who takes photos with his cell phone, of accident victims with their limbs cut off and emails them laughingly to his brother-in-law.
