I sat there in Silence for like... 3 minutes. Maybe 4.
Well, Season 3 is off to a BIG start with Walt's confession. And I was in shellshock there after. This opens up many new doors and the plot can now go off on a completely different path. I think it was absolutely necessary for Walt to confess or for Skyler to figure it out, Because without a confession, it would be to unrealistic. What was sky gunna do, go back to him and do it all over again?
I think the way Giligan and the staff played it out was perfect, I very much enjoyed how it was a bombshell on the first episode and not led into later on, which would be more predictable. During that scene, I thought to myself... "Anna Gunn doesn't get enough credit, she steals the scene sometimes." And as for Cranston.. well, nothing even needs to be said about his acting, we all know he makes the show, and without him the pilot probably never would've been sold. I also noticed a few things that were well done, the lighting, angles, and setting / scenery of some of the scenes were very well done. 2 scenes in particular, when Walter Jr. is in the car pleading with Walt to come inside, the lighting was very well done on Walt Jr.'s face. The scene when he steps out of the car to go inside and looks into the window was also well done. You get a sense of "The whole reason why he started all this was for his family, and now look at them". The other scene that was well done was when Jesse says "I'm the bad guy". Between the light coming through the shades and the shadow masking the side of his face when he said it was phenomenal. Thought I'd share my observations, I'm very much looking forward to what's to come. I actually think it was 5 minutes that I sat there with my mouth wide open... I wouldn't know anyway I was in shock.... wait, come to think of it, I might have just sat there all afternoon wondering how this is gunna play out now. lol
