Countdown to Season 3 - Open Thread
Talk about the upcoming season of Breaking Bad

Season 1 was Great. Season 2 was also Great. Season 3 will be the best and the last. Season 2 ended with a Plane crash, will be interesting to see how they top that.
I'd like to see Skylar get Jury Duty.
My predictions for Season Three.
Walt Junior will be injured in a car wreck when he is driving with two feet. He will be in a coma, but in a dream sequence, we will see him turn into a super hero with the ability to run really fast. He will run so fast, he will approach the speed of light. When he gets to the speed of light, time will stop for him.
Marie will be unable to shop lift enough to support her meth addiction. She will try to be a whore, but she is just to skanky. So, she will peddle the only thing she has, inside info about the DEA that she wrangles out of Hank. In her romp, she will encounter Walt, but she has been up for so many days, she won’t know if it was real or a dream. Later she will be the key in tipping Hank off to what will be the downfall of Heisenberg.
Skylar will discover that life without Walt is not what she expected. She is running, but no one is chasing. Mr. Grabby Hands is really not that interested in a middles aged mom and will get a younger girlfriend from the company pool of hopefuls. Then she will discover that Walt doesn’t want her back. She will be unable to come to terms with the fact that “her apple pie don’t taste so nice.” Skylar will eat her baby.
Jesse will learn that Walt was there when Jane died. He will try and deal with it, then try to kill Walt, but in the end he will relapse on H or meth and then go to prison. He will be cell mates with ole Jimmy in and out. He will learn the real reason Jimmy has that nickname.
Gus will die in a shoot out in Mexico.
Hank will continue to flounder and emit hot gasses until he stumbles onto info that will solve the whole Heisenberg mystery. He won’t be able to wrap his mind around all the details and will invent a co-dependent version of the truth that makes his wife an innocent, Walt a victim and himself a hero.
Elliot and Gretchen will go to the GAP and buy more earth tone slacks and light sweaters.
Walt will realize he is not the man he thought he was. With both his children dead and his wife gone, he will come to see that he doesn’t miss them. Walt will be able to hide inside the story Hank invents to protect his wife and his career. He will head off into Mexico and take his well earned place as a valuable Cartel member. He will be richer than E and G. There will be a moral to the story, but it won’t be what we expect. The moral will be that we don’t know who we are or what we are capable of until we are faced with death. Walt will continue to put himself in situations where he will face death, because he is trying to recapture the high(relief) he felt when he was told he had terminal cancer. But, he will never be able to get that excited or high again. You only get to feel the relief of knowing your life is soon to be over, when you really hate your life. Walt hated his old life he just didn’t know it. Now that his old life is gone, he doesn’t want it back. Walt is a very lucky man. He learned to live in the moment.
My predictions for Season Three.
Walt Junior will be injured in a car wreck while he is driving with two feet. He will be in a coma. But, in a dream sequence, we will see him become a super hero with the ability to run and jump really fast. He will run so fast, he will approach the speed of light. When he gets to the speed of light, time will stop for him.
Marie will be unable to shop lift enough to support her secret meth addiction. She will try to be a whore, but she is just to skanky. She will be unable to come to terms with the fact that “her apple pie don’t taste so nice.” Skylar will eat her baby.
Jesse will learn that Walt was there when Jane died, but did not help. He will try and deal with it, then try to kill Walt, but in the end he will relapse on H or meth and then go to prison. He will be cell mates with old Jimmy N and OUT. He will learn the real reason Jimmy has that nickname.
Gus will die in Mexico, after the Cartel values Walt over him.
Hank will continue to flounder and emit hot gases until he stumbles onto info that will solve the whole Heisenberg mystery. He won’t be able to wrap his mind around all the details and will invent a co-dependent version of the truth that makes his wife an innocent, Walt a victim and himself a hero.

Walt will realize he is not the man he thought he was. With both his children dead and his wife gone, he will come to see that he doesn’t miss them. Walt will be able to hide inside the story Hank invents to protect his wife and his career. He will head disappear into Mexico and become a valuable Cartel member. Walt hated his old life, he just didn’t know it. Now that his old life is gone, he doesn’t want it back. Walt is a lucky man. Although lots of people had to die or get hurt for it to happen, Walt found himself and made himself useful, rich and happy.
RW why do you say season 3 will be the last ?
I would like to see Skylar break bad by getting greedy and need Walt to continue his 'job.' She could get addicted to the big money, spend it all and want more. The show could go on forever. I know it is wishful thinking but hey it is my favorite show.
Peace
One other thing, does anyone know why posts take so long to 'post' ?
@R.W
Last? I don't remember reading anything that it was confirmed to be the last season..
My comments are showing up wtf.. lol if its posted twice i guess it just takes a while to show up
Last night I saw a teaser for the third season and the little hairs on the back of my neck went woo woo woo.... One thing I love about this show is the intensity that the editors achieve in post production, it makes me want to go ooooo...
bullieboy, there are some real nuggets of brilliance mixed in with some moments of absurdity in your Season 3 forecast.. Just like the show. Just like life.
A few years back, there was always a delay before posts showed up, so I guess they're going back to that method. Personally, I think it's a good thing (tm)! Just relax...they will show up in time.
Don't be a Jesse...be a Walt!
Can't wait, Can't wait, and, Can't wait.
Absolutely the BEST show on television PERIOD!
This show, storyline, characters, acting, lures you in and keep you wanting more. It's been a long off-season, but I'm sure that it will be worth the wait.
I know Walt struggles with the Jekyll/Hyde persona he has become, but this season I believe we will see him totally give in to it by the end.
As for Jesse, I believe that Jane's death will completely numb him and there will be no more "blowfish", but rather a more dangerous, intense man emerging.
I doubt that Hank will get too close to Heisenberg this season; however, a more dangerous threat will loom with Gus in his sites.
Skylar has lost all of my respect. She has the nerve to tell Walt anything as she flirts with her boss. I just hope the kids are okay... and as for Marie... her hi-jinks just make me laugh.
I just watched the six minute catch up and I think I just wet myself! Holy crap! Those Juarez boys are in Walt's house! What the heck is Vince thinking? You've lost your minds over in the writer's room! I love it! I really can't wait!
Can't wait for season 3. What is Jesse doing on HBO's Big Love?
laz...glad to see you back, man. I feel like my addiction is about to start again...on March 21st! You can't just watch this show, you LIVE it, die with it, become addicted with it. I hope the intensity this season matches last season. I can't remember when a tv show has affected me this much. Great writing, great acting. Great company in the forum here. What more could you ask for??
LMMFAO bullieboi!! Your predictions were absof'in'lutely HILARIOUS!! =D
Good to see you back, sweetposey! Gotta agree with what you said in your post! This show draws us in & makes us feel like we're living it with them!
Hopefully the message board will start running more smoothly before Season 3 begins...???
I'm really curious to see if we hit the 1000+ post in these Open Threads, this time around!!
bullieboi, interesting prediction for the third season. I only agree with one thing you said though. Which would be what happens with Marie. The shoplifting is a definite tweaker move and I notice how she is mean to Hank from time to time. Another side effect of smoking crystal. Pretty much, the writers know who tweakers are and how they act, so Marie for sure has to be one. Walt's addiction is money. So he doesn't give a damn if Skyler is pissed at him. In the end, when he dies, she will take it all without hesitation. Jesse, is the son Walt never had, and Jesse will start to respect him more this season
One of the parts of bullieboi's prediction post that particularly struck me was the very first paragraph, about Walt, Jr. being in an accident, going into a coma, dreaming of being a superhero, and running til he gets to the speed of light, when "time will stop for him." In such a gritty, realistic series, a surrealistic scene like that can be so powerful. I'm thinking of that scene where Jesse tries heroin for the first time and levitates off the bed to the song, "Enchanted." That scene was so weird and unexpected, it really made an impression.
So....yes, I can definitely see that superhero dream in my mind. (But I wouldn't want to see R.J. Mitte leave the cast, so hopefully someone will run in with the crash cart in time to save Walt, Jr.)! :-)
Hey Rockmama,
That "Jesse's first spike" scene was really a departure from the norm for BB. Also recall, that Jane mixed meth with the H to make a "speed ball?' I guess a speed ball is H and coke, but here it is H and Meth... Anyway, that may have been the reason Jesse first floated and then got sleepy. The point though is that Jane said, "I'll meet you there", just as she was turning his "muddy water into wine."
I noticed that the pink stuffed bear that dropped into Walters pool after the air crash, was also shown at the end of the 'TWAUGHT HAMMER' music video. Any more of a connection there?
I am sooo excited about the new season coming March 21st! I tell all my friends about this show and they have never heard of it, wish it was more popular because it def. deserves it. I love this show's story line, the characters and plot. The actors do a very good job. I have no clue what to expect this new season but I'm sure that I won't be disapointed. Anyone know when Season 2 dvd comes out?
ahaha nevermind its already out
Hmm... for some reason my picture has been erased from my profile. It irritates me because I can't get it back up there now. Anyways, thanks sweetposey. I am so excited! Have you guys seen Saul's website? It's pretty friggin cool. Countdown! Woohoo!
Ya Laz this is a weird site. I am gonna post and I will guess my 'pic' won't be there.
Anyway what is the deal with that pink teddy ?
My memory is not that great and I can't recall which episode Hank went to the hotel, pink teddy was there in the parking lot. Can someone refresh my memory ?
If the blu-ray is out I am gonna go get season 2 in the morning.
Walt embraces the gangster role and has the Bennake guy killed when he finds out about Skylar's affair with him in the first few eps.
I am watching season 2 on AMC on demand and the turtle just blew up! I am very excited about the season 3 debut on March 21 and nothing would make me miss it. RIP Combo.
HOWDY to all you Breaking Bad junkies old and new!! Two week to go to SEEZIN FREAKIN' THREE!! Been a heckuva long 9 month wait, but it's almost over!! Looks like they made a couple tweaks to this website, like a comment policy for instance. That wasn't there before! Also tried looking at the 6 minute video and it won't play for me. From what I have read above, some of you have had some weird things going on with this website too. In the past 9 months I have recruited a whole lot of potential new BB fans. Well hey, it's great to be back, and look forward to a whooole lotta chattin' with you all in the coming months!!
Helllooo all you Breaking Bad junkies! SEEZIN FRIKKIN THREE is just two weeks away!
This website IS REALLY doing weird stuff! I just posted the first comment, and it didn't show, then when I just did the second one, the FIRST one came up, and when I was back-clicking out, my second one shows. A possible server problem AMC?
Whatz up Bigfreakinnaz.
It is good to see some old school posters back. I have been recruiting new viewers as well.
wow...another season...I guess this season money won't matter...from sneak peeks there is money to burn...so now it will be a struggle to get family...and cancer?...that can't be gone...it's got to come back with a vengeance...forcing Walt to become more desperate...as his time...his life...starts to run out
bigfreakinnaz !! Great to see you back!
Sounds like you've been doing great! (Well...except for the posting problems we've been having.)
Something that might help: Try hitting the "Preview" button. (Even on the ones that are showing "0" posts.) That usually helps me to view everybody's posts that might not show up initially.
Can anybody tell us: Is this a problem only with the Breaking Bad forums? Or, throughout the whole AMC website?
I really like Bryan Cranston. When Walt(Bryan) went driving off wildly in the RV with his pants still hanging on the rear view mirror, and then they flew off and inflated and floated for a moment and then came gently sailing back to earth, I knew this was a story I had to see til the end. Those pants were a metaphor of Walt and how his story will unfold. First, he is hung out to dry, then he is jostled. Then he breaks free and gets puffed up and floats and sails way up high in the sky! Then he gently sails back down and lands crumpled in in a "dirt nap."
i am excited about season 3 cannot wait to see how walt dies like a dirty dog i hope i hope after season 2 he suffers like no other for the things he has done but i still love him i love all the characters of this show i am an average guy and could see myself liveing next to these people viva la breaking bad
Can anybody tell us: Is this a problem only with the Breaking Bad forums? Or, throughout the whole AMC website?
there are other forums?
I don't know but it's getting old fast. AMC needs to take care of this before Seezin Three starts, cuz once it does the posting will be flyin'!
Jesse will be rehabbed and
Walter will not be nabbed.
Gus, the cartel and our boys will be at the bank.
While Skylar erodes into this seasons skank.
Good to see you RW and diksee.
I'm expecting Season 3 to be the best yet! March 21st is going to be a great night & 1 I've been waiting for since the second, Season 2 ended!
Thank You AMC! For putting the best, most realistic, drama on TV!
Whoever said season 3 will be final season of 'Breaking Bad' you are crazy! Shows that win major awards & don't get dumped!
(Well 'Arrested Development' did, but it was on FOX.)
Well, hello there 620atx, diksee, Laz, Jamm54, zia, and others that followed last season with me (I didn't participate in this forum for season one because I didn't know this site existed then!)! Once again, I'm looking forward to lighting up the keyboard after each episode of this coming "Seezin Three" with thoughts and predictions, just as you all may be. Gonna be a gas!
I would like to see this show go for at least five seasons, but that can really be stretching it in television-land these days. But I suppose if the ratings are as good as I think they might be, and if the sponsors are all fat and happy that we're buying their shit and everything, then the sky's the limit! I mean, look at "Law and Order" (My second favorite show after BB!), they've been on for like 21 seasons and running.
Or was it 22 seasons?
@bigfreakinnaz: The Skyler's the limit.
Just watched S1E1&2 today... Man. Best TV show of all-time or what?
Entertainment Weekly called BB the second best show to watch this spring behind The Good Wife.
- You cannot be serious!
EW Spoiler Alert (Although they did not give this a an actual alert).
WHAT'S NEXT: The drama's third-season premiere is a game changer in the truest sense of the word. ''My wife finds out that I'm a drug dealer,'' reveals Cranston, ''and everything [Walt] worked for could come crumbling down.''
Walt: I haven't been myself lately, but I love you. Nothing about that has changed, nothing ever will. So right now, what I need, is for you to climb down out of my ass. Can you do that? Will you do that for me, honey? Will you please, just once, get off my ass, you know? I'd appreciate it, I really would.
I should be asleep or studying for my test, but this show has me addicted to anything I can get my hands on. I've been back and forth for three hours! OMG! I can't even sleep wondering what the heck is going to happen next! I watched every episode twice this week. It's like 20 episodes and I still can't get enough. Man, I miss you regulars like I miss family I haven't seen in a long time. You too, Clayton.
So, I know he tells Skyler everything in the very first episode (don't say spoiler because it is already here on the site), but will she stay? Is she the reason he burns the money?... and then Gus offers him $3 million for 3 months of his time! Ooooohhhhhhh.... I can't friggin sleep! I can't wait! Second best show my ass! BB is number 1!
BB FANS STAND UP!
Okay, my pic is back up here. Thanks. Now, are you guys gonna get our posts to show up as soon as we post them? Season 3 starts in 10 days and we need to make sure everything is up to par for us fans! We need this. We need to fraternize and speak up when something happens.
I'm just concerned. You know I love BB!
HI ALL! The fingers are feeling preeettty rusty on the ol' keyboard and maybe I'm experiencing a brainfreeze. Hope y'all had a great winter!
Did the road trip (74 days, 8488 miles), and ran out of good weather, dwindling funds, and collapsing energy.
Season 3 Prediction Flynn and Daddy are going to bond over a kiddie chemistry set, and become the dynamic chemistry duo of Albuquerque! Walt needs another cooker for their expansion plans.
Forget Jesse - unless he's brushed up on his salesman skills or watched "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and "The Trip" about 5 zillion times to improve his selling/business skills, I'm not betting on his weight in the former partnership.
I wonder if they will play as many commercials as they did on the airing of the fugitive on march 10.rediculous.I wont be watching live....wish i had tivo.amc sucks
I don't know about anybody else, but I'm a little steamed about all the stuff that was messed with on this website which doesn't work now. I've tried to see the "Six minute catch-up" video, as well as the rest of the trailers, and they come up with an eternal blank screen that says "Sponsor Message" at the bottom. We don't NEED "sponsors" when we're trying to see our coveted BB info. What did you do here AMC, hire a bunch of fresh-outta-college, still-squinting-from-the-blast computer geeks that promised "We make better. You like!"? And what's with this "Comment Policy" stuff, and "AMC Terms and Conditions"? Puhleeze!!
Jessie will be rehabbed, while
Walter will try not to be be nabbed
Gus and the cartel will be going to the bank,
while Skylar becomes the new skank
Season Three-
Jesse is rehabbed, while
Walter tries not to be nabbed.
Gus and the Cartel go to the bank, while
Skylar is reduced to a skank.
Hi Everyone! Well, maybe trying a third time will be the charm. Haven't been able to get any of my comments posted so far, so I may end of being SOL for the beginning of the season.
Kind of hysterical. I write on comment on 3/12/10, and preview/submit that one, and my 3/11/10 comment finally shows! Whew, at least I hope it's not my laptop.......
I have to agree with the conplaints about the board. We die-hard "BB-er's" are a hardy lot. We'll set our TIVO's, VCR;s, our ALARM CLOCKS to see the show...we'll check out obscure references in episodes...we'll jabber away on here - with or without swag! ;-)
But we need to be able to see the new threads, posts and special features you're so kindly providing us, without having to keep punching "Refresh." And to be able to see and hear things like that fantastic animation sequence without the audio and video breaking up (or should I say "breaking bad?") every few seconds.
The comment threads are going to get busier and busier as the new season comes. And if the board is still so slow, imagine all the irate fans running around in here like chickens with our heads cut off -shoving each other out of the way, screaming to be heard, setting off fire alarms. It could get ugly.
(Funny exaggerations aside, the board problems are really getting annoying).
Jamm, very much happy and damned dappy that you are back. Girl friend, I've broke bad again. Currantly working for a law firm dedicated to getting out many dime's out of many people. High end and Low end. Its interesting. And just like this show, I find it difficult as to who's who on the scale of high end and low end of life, thoughts and what ever. We are all Breaking Bad. Yippy! I say. What is Bad?
Murder? Possibly, depending on why. Though I still know that Walt killed What's her Face. Jane.
Oye, with my new job of which I only get paid 13.50 per hour I have Jane's glombing onto me.
We'll Jane's dead, but lots of very young women who have born a child or three at the age of 22 are asking me what they should do with their live's. What should they do with their children, how do they keep their kids in schools without breaking bad. Also the whole make up things? And by Make up I mean mascara, and all of the rest of masks that women have to do in order to get ahead. Yeesh!! Life is interesting!
Tweeds
This show is so stupid; and it gets worse.
I can't comment on the commenters?
HI ZIA, WHAT'S UP MAN???
HEY JAM54, what's up bb?
You know, the way it was, the way it is, the way it will be, the audience may actually get to write the script. Pay attention you smart computer programmer geniuses out there (I know, probably not many, but a guy can dream can't he?), I propose a "solution" to this so-called entertainment. Pool everyone's opinions together (screw any kind of monetary gain) and then write the script. Maybe old, maybe revoutionary, who knows? I digress.
Could you imagine a life, as an artist, to give people exactly what they want, not what they need?
That my friends, is the true status of any God that any mortal could conjure up. God bless those in need.
By the way, keep up the great work Vince. I know how it is. Stick with your calling. There WILL be some that will TRY to change you. Step over their dead bodies if you have to. Anyway, war to the peace.
SAC
Just like anything new, it gets old. Rarely, it is for the better. I hate to curse, but Jesus Christ! The crap on TV is well, crap. Enough said. To have this show playing on a Sunday night at 10, well...
We have PURE GENIUS!!!! (I just wet myself, I am so ashamed, maybe an nocturnal emmission?)
Almost no one (well, actually NO ONE) has heard of this show. They are busy talking about lame ass shows like "House" and "Modern Family" I almost feel bad for them. But I don't.
I have found, and still I am finding out, there are just some things ones should not publish.
Knowledge is power, of course, great entertainment is even better. After all, is that not the only reason we watch this stuff, to be vicarious?
Sunday night, all alone, wife is snoozing off the great meal you cooked her. The kids are taken care of. Dad has a private room; nothing silly like internet porn. He relaxes for a new show of Breaking Bad.
I can't wait for season three!!!! I know I won't be disappointed no matter what happens!
i attended Paleyfest with cast and other members of BB and the way they were talking doesn't seem third season WOULD be the last!
one thing i like that was said is they liked how LOST gave it's viewers at set date for series finale, they felt they would like to do the same so until i hear those news from the show directly, i plan on looking forward to season 4, first i have to enjoy season 3! BTW, we saw 1st episode and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jaw dropping, fucken good characters, and unbelievable the way it seems it will go!
Woo-Hoo!
New South Park tomorrow night -
Then Br Ba Sunday night!!!!
The song in the beginning of Episode 7 (Negro y Azul) of season 2 foreshadows everything.
The song in the beginning of Episode 7 (Negro y Azul) Season 2 foreshadows everything.
i've been catching up on all the episodes from season two that i missed,i didnt know anything about the show till season two was almost over-i caught the last four episodes,i was hooked after seeing "4 days out" and then bought season one on dvd-now i wish sunday would hurry up and get here-i can't wait.
Hello my friends old and new! I actually only have a couple of minutes before I have to log out but I just wanted to say "Hey!" and tell you how much I'm looking forward to season 3 and talking with all of you. I've missed you guys : )

I, as well as the rest of us, TOTALLY agree rockmama!!! =(
Hola, Bonjour, Shalom, Aloha, Everyone,
¿Does anyone know if there are any HTML attributes in addition to bold and italic that are supported here?
¿Are colors supported? ¿If so, what is the markup instruction needed to render, for example, green?
My excitement is too hard to contain. I think Ive watched all the videos on the net for this show in anticipation. Season three people!
They topped season one with season 2, and im sure they will top seasons one and two with three.
Hi bigfreakinnaz and jamm54! Sooooo glad yo're both back. My buds! bigfreakinnaz, I totally agree about not liking the changes to the website. The videos won't plat for me either. Total bummer. I'm pysched about Season 3 starting though and nothing can dampen my spirits about that :)
yay diksee! Great to see you're here too!!!!
I think that the season will start with the DEA finding Walts ID at Tucos house. Skyer might talk to her sister about Walt paying for his hospital bill out of pocket, which would lead Hank right to Walt being Hizenberg. At some point Hank will figure it out and he will have to make a decision to either ruin Walts life or turn his back on his lives work it is not just a job to him it is a mission to get meth off the streets to save people from themselves. I dont see how there could be a season four this show is running out of runway and either has three endings, Walt in prison, Walt dead, or Walt going into hiding and starting work as a chemist.
Roddoghd is probably the only person that thinks Walt should suffer, I think Walt is a noble man that is doing some bad stuff for a noble cause. Manufacturing meth is the only bad thing he has done, everyone that he hurt had it coming. That heroin addict Jane would not have died if she just did not do heroin, any one know a heroin addict older than 50 i saw and knew about 30 heroin addicts about 8 years ago and the oldest one i knew was 52.
kevin o, so those people that died on that plane crash "had it coming?" I don't think so. Walt is a likable drug dealer, manufacturer, and murderer; however, he is guilty. He will get divorced and his life will get worse. It has to. That is the way of life. He better not get off easy. This may be a TV show, but there is a reality to this episodic masterpiece. There are repercussions to our actions.
I'm so glad it is back. I just bought both seasons on Bluray (thanks for listening to us and releasing season 1 on Bluray, as I said I would, I bought it again in addition to my DVD) and I am watching both seasons again in preparation for season 3. I have heard it a lot but never gave it so much thought but season 2 is way better than season 1 (and season one is great). I am thinking/hoping that season 3 will blow season 2 away. This show just keeps getting better and better.
Newbie here. Not used to how you do things around here, so forgive any sins on my part.
Questions: Does AMC provide a full episode online the day after it airs, a week after, or never? How does one start a new thread? How do I know if anyone has answered this post? Any guidelines to help a newbie fit in?
I discovered Breaking Bad online and fell in love with the show. Just realized that Season 3 premieres this Sunday. Watched the interview clips and am very excited about what the season holds.
The show is the most interesting show on TV as of late. I can't wait till Sunday to watch the new season! Keep this show going!
High hopes for season 3! Season 1 was by far the best. In season 2, Walt turned down a path worthy of the shows name and for the show to work I think he needs to keep going that way. I'm not interested in redemption for Walt, after he let the girl die I lost sympathy for that character, but I could definitely love to hate him. I think the series success hangs on redemption for the Jesse character but all of the characters are well acted (especially Walt by Cranston) so I'm interested to see how the writers handle it. This season will determine if the show has legs for a lengthy run.
And what a day it was...
- I received my new Rolling Stone mag in the mail yesterday: FULL PAGE on BB, including a great ILLUSTRATION. Along with spoiler alerts, RS pretty much said BB is the best show on TV.
Seriously!
- Then last night for the first time I see Badger in this cool Twicks commercial. Matt Jones has lost some weight and is looking good.
Check it out!
- Finally the final episodes of Season 2 were shown overnight - I will be viewing them today.
Been very intense watching all the episodes this past week. Especially it hits me how bad I feel for Jesse. He looks up to Walt, treats him with respect, really cares. And most of the time Walt treats him like garbage. Very saddening and maddening. Aaron Paul is so excellent.
Yo!
To Sunday night!
Vince Gilligan talks one-on-one with Jim Halterman about season 3 @ www.JimHalterman.com. And know that the third season kicks off with a bang (literallly!)!!
Enjoy!

Hi BFN, Slygirl, Diksee, Zia, Laz, et al! It's kind of torturous to try commenting on the talk forum for the last week. Even if I wanted to respond to someone else's ideas, thoughts, etc., my comments haven't shown up for hours or days depending on the ouiji board contrariness of the website.........so, here's praying the website is "game" to take our comments come Opening Night on Sunday!
See you all then! Looking forward to some great discussions this season!
SUNDAY NIGHT CAN'T WAIT!!!!
SUNDAY NIGHT !!!!!!!!
I'm watching the marathon now
one thing wrong tuco
this is not METH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi to all!!!! ..it's been some time since I have been on the talk forum!! Keeping busy fending away the insanity until Season 3 begins this month. Will love to catch up with all the discussions of past postings and see what all you have thought Season 3 will bring. Good to see you all again and counting down to see the new season Sunday!
What's going on with the postings on this site?? I post a few sentences of my favorite series, but it doesn't show up on the forum...what gives???????
It's nice to see some old faces and new ones on the Breaking Bad forum. I know we are all looking forward to the new season. I am catching up on my BB watching Season 2 today. I didn't realize how much I missed it...
Breaking Bad Season 3 is gonna be sweet! Nice to see you all again.
laz, you're back!
COOK!!!!
Finally, the long awaited day is here, SO excited, cannot wait!! You know what else I'm really looking forward to? The music! This show uses very cool music.
(I really loved the music at the end of season 1, I think the song was called "Who's gonna save my soul now". It's in the very last scene of the last episode of season 1.)
Anyway, I'm cooking a late dinner tonight and we will all be watching Br Ba and enjoying.
Have fun everybody!
Howdy! I am up at the crack of dawn and the first thing I can think of is what I'm going to do tonight for the premiere of season 3. It's like when I was a kid and couldn't wait for Christmas morning. I am giddy, even as ice and snow have transformed the first day of spring into "Winter: Part 2." I get off of work at 6 and then it's off to the family's house for everyone to watch it together. Woohoo! I'm amped! BBers unite!
Okay its the big day!.
I got on my hands and knees and crawled to the local Church for pancakes via what the Cousins taught me.
Linda555 & mnsteph!! LOL, it's almost like a Family Reunion...the gang is ALMOST all here!!
WHERE IS ZIA?!?
(BTW, Linda555, I'm in a "different place" in my life now...and, my stress level is far less...so I'll be able to read your posts with a better attitude, on my part.)
TwoFourFixate : You can also change the font size, but, I think the only color we can use is blue???
I have'nt taken the time to see if we can post a picture, within the thread...but, you can post the URL to one that will open it up in a different window.
WELCOME TO ALL THE "NEWBIES"!!!
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas! It's finally here. It has been such a long wait, and it makes the prize all the sweeter. I've watched the preview and it looks like we're going to start off with a bang. Looks like the cartel boys are going to get Walt's attention. Welcome to all the newbies out there, be prepare to hang on to your seats. This is not your average tv pablum. Breaking Bad will challenge everything you think you know about tv programming. BRING IT ON!!
MAN this is going to be SWEET
HELL YEAH. Today is the day its finally back.
Its been a long time coming, Season 3 will be damn good.
Been re-watching season 2 on TV all week and i gotta admit, its getting me even more pumped. Even heard from the actors in between commercial breaks. Good stuff. It took me a while to remember my account name on this site haha but I Am back, and ready to BREAK some BAD.
Hello, all you BB'ers. It's that time again. The ice tray is full and the scotch awaits. Too bad that Tuco is dead;he would have responded so well to counseling and rehabilitation.
Helloooo slygirl08!!! I'm a bit slow on the greeting back to you, as well as the other BB posters from last year! Busy, busy, busy!! But all will take a back seat in about 45 minutes! WooHoo! SEEZIN FREEKIN THREE IS FINALLY HERE!!!
I'm new here and I can't wait for the season 3 premiere! I think I'm addicted to this show. 1 year went by fast man. Looking forward to another great season.
AMC has totally screwed up this website with their "improvements" that they made. Don't believe me? Just go to try to post something on thier "New and Improved" talk format. It will be there one minute, then gone the next.
Yeah? No clue whats going on with the site but it aint cool. I would like somewhere to talk about the show with some people who actually know what they are talking about lol... WHERE R U PPL
A lot of censorship going on tonight. All my comments have been removed from the new chat.
I originally commented over on the open thread for "No Mas", but I ended up having too many letters (over a 1000), so I just cancelled the comment. It's very strange looking - apparently I can have my comments show up all over the place, but it looks like it's going to be soundbites from now on........
Last year, I was a non-contest, episode-12-related blog-comment winner, of a Breaking Bad hat which I wear everywhere. This year all my comments on episode 1 get wiped away. Last year, I'm in. This year, I'm banned. Now that's breaking bad. HAPPY SPRING BREAKAGE.
I just tried posting again at the Episode 1 forum, and it appeared after I submitted it, then it was gone after I checked out something else. Is it because I don't have a stupid "Facebook" page or something? It seems only the people like us "veteran" BB posters are the ones affected. I don't recognize any of the names or avatars of the people that are posting there.
Hi jamm54! How do you do a "soundbite"? I don't understand.
If I have to make my comments fo all the episodes on this old format so it gets posted, then that's the way it's gonna be!
What have done to this website?
This past week I watched seasons 1 and 2 over again, now that I own them on Bluray. So I have seen each episode 2-4 times and I am pretty sure that when Walt picked up his stuff off Tuco's table he did put his wallet away but he did leave a bottle of pills he had in his pocket. Unless I am mistaken and they were the bell dinging uncle's pills, Hank holds a secret that he knows Walt has been there. Also, with the DEA still having impounded Jessee's low rider, they surely would have found some evidence of Walt in the trunk... not hair dna, but fingerprints? Fingerprints on the M60? I think it will only come out later that Hank knows Walt was there. I have woke up from sleep thinking about this at night. Let's see what happens.
Episode 1 was good. The handled the plane crash aftermath well and are off to a good start.
You know, I've thought about this before skottey, and I agree Hank HAS to know by now. I mean, he'd have to be a pretty stupid DEA guy not to have all that stuff dusted for prints, etc.
And what I think was a dead giveaway he knows what Walt's been up to, is that he never looked in that duffel bag after Walt told him there's a half-million in cash in there. Wouldn't YOU want to look at it and see that kind of money if it was your brother-in-law's?
I loved the episode. Even better than I would have imagined. I like the angle the writers are taking. Nice and dark. The Cousins! Wow. Love them, and if they aren't related to a "crazy-ass now dead dude we know"...I will be surprised. Perfect characters, they are gonna make this year fun!
I tried to post my thoughts on the other AMC BrBa Season 3 Open thread, but it seems to be a bloggie dealio now and my stuff never made it. Oh well.
So which one of you technology enhanced BB fans is gonna open a Breaking Bad site where we can all post again?
Okay, what the hell happened around here? I went to the live thread hoping to see all of the posters whom I have enjoyed following and conversing with, and what did I find? Some damn fb looking thread with no one that I recognized. I have a fb account, I am in a BB group. If I wanted to talk with fb people, I would have gone there. But I want to talk with my amc peeps. And to top it off, my comments got cut out. What gives?
I'll try the post that I try to put on the live thread here.
I am interested in how Jesse will progress this season. It seems he has worked through the stages of grief over Jane. He has also had an epiphany in rehab it seems. He realizes he is bad. He accepts that. Now he seems ready to buck up and really take things by the horns. Will he no longer be the bumbling kid that made him so endearing to us? Will he go scarface? Walt is still not there yet. He still thinks he is good. He tried to prove that by turning down Gus. He tried to prove that by burning the money (he failed). We'll see how long that lasts. I predict that the mexican twins will go after him and he will be forced to go to Gus for protection. The mexican twins think they are looking for Walter White. They will find Heisenberg.
Forgive a dumb question... I am not up on Mexican religions other than Catholic, what gives with the snake worship in that little sanctuary the whole town crawled on their bellies to?
My guess it is some sort of contrition. In many countries that are predominately Catholic there are ceremonies that involve some sort of self-inflicted suffering. Walking on your knees over long distances and self flagellation are examples. What they are involved with is Santo Muerte, a death cult that has taken hold with Mexican drug cartels. It is similar to Santoria and Voodoo in that they borrow the imagery, customs, and trappings of Catholicism and mix it with indigenous spiritism.
Hey guys. I also would like someone to make a place for all of the real OG Breaking Bad fans to talk. One of my favourite parts is to rush in here and try and get some questions answered...help answer some questions if i can, and get some ideas on what the fellow die hard fans think happened or is going to happen. This show is absolutely amazing and in yesterdays episode I almost stopped breathing lol. I haven`t done meth before but I have done drugs none the less and this show is just a masterpiece. I, just like the rest of you was a little upset to find a bunch of facebookers who (most of them) don`t even know whats going on. I may be coming across as an ass but i literally came back and forth to my computer for hours and came out with absolutely nothing that helped me understand or make predictions about what I just watched.
Not really a dumb question ultrablue, all my friends were asking me the same thing as we live up in BC and don`t have any knowledge on Mexican Culture.
Gracie answered your question well.
Maybe we should keep this thread and the prior ones going so that we can talk to each other like we did last season. If we bookmark it in our browser it will make it easy to find. The 737 ep thread went over 800 posts, it will get bulky and cumbersome, but unless the site gets changed back, I don't know what else to do.
I agree gracie, and what you just mentioned is what I intend to do. I'm a lot disappointed at what AMC has done to their website, and I hope their changes don't force the rest of us "Seasoned Veterans" from trying to post to kep in touch. It almost seems like somebody at AMC has taken a personal vendetta against those of us who have faithfully followed and commented from day one, sort of like they want to bust up our little "Cartel", if you will. So if you're out there jamm54, diksee, Laz3000, slygirl08, Liz, and all you others, let's hear ya! We're sort of reminiscent of "Horton hears a Who" where we are on a dust speck saying "We are here! We are here!"
@bigfreakinnaz, @gracie, and any one else who is having trouble using the new commenting tool: Please email me:
cmneuman [at] amctv.com
And I will try my best to help you resolve your difficulties.
We certainly do not intend to alienate any of our loyal commenters, and the new commenting tool actually corrects many of the issues that users had previously complained about. It's just a question of making sure everything is up and running at 100%.
We apologize for the difficulties, and thank you for your patience while we sort through these issues.
Hey guys, I love reading your comments and have been enjoying this site for over a year. Glad to see you all.
Some asked what the shrine was that everyone was crawling to...I think it's some pagan thing called Santa Muerte, and it has something to do with death, or prayers for the dead. If you look it up in Wikepedia, you get a very detailed definition, along with pictures. I knew nothing about it until I looked it up there after episode 1...pretty interesting description on Wikepedia.
ultrablue that was a great question about the snake worship and I enjoyed Gracie's answer. I had a feeling it somewhat of a voodoo type deal. I didn't know of Santo Muerte and appreciated Gracie explaining it to us. Thanks for the Wiki idea Liz, I am off to read about it now.
I hope some of you all keep posting in the thread, I cannot get the other to work for me yet.
The show just keeps getting better and better.
Ok, read up on Santa Muerte on a google link. Wow, even worse than I thought. As my kids would say "Walt is in some deep, deep trouble." Kudos to the Breaking Bad writers for digging this (tad bit frightening) piece of Mexican drug culture up, makes for a great story line.
This site is weird. Can't access most of the threads.... and if I do, then my post disappears! Anyway, just wanted to say the Season 3 premiere was excellent! -- But it was pretty intense and dark. Hope they're going to stick w/ the humor. Saul is hilarious and I missed him, but I'm sure he'll be back --- Oh -- and I thought Gus took no for an answer way to fast from Walt.... I don't think he intends to let him off the hook quite that easy!
Great show and I am testing to place a picture on here
test
@bigfreakinaz, mnsteph, laz3000, R.W., gracie, jamm54, Linda555 and EVERYONE ELSE, I am glad to see you all.
If you go up a few posts, Clayton Neuman left his email for our ranting pleasures. I let him know the problems we are all having with this new format and that our comments are disappearing right after we post. (There one instant, gone the next.) I think this is a universal problem they are having with this new format, as I have looked for all of you and none of you are there :(
Good to see all the veteran posters for the Breaking Bad series we are so blasted obsessed with and great to see others joining our insane talk forum because we are "ALL BREAKING BAD ADDICTS"! LOL
Good to hear you are experiencing less stress, Diksee and hope things will continue to get better for you in your life. Hopefully I will try to stay off my "soapbox drama writings" this season and try NOT to offend others because I think others should see my viewpoint as a God spoken word.... :)))))).
Liz..glad to see you back as I enjoy your insights on this series...bigfreakinaz, gracie, rockmama, skottey, slygirl, kevin o, (repugnant and R.W. ....favorite debate mates...haha), tweeders, Zia, jamm54, bullieboi..and other posting people that are new to me, I await to hear your viewpoints on this new Season 3 because it seems postings on this web site are just down right incredible and imaginative!!!! Can't wait to hear what you all think of the "No Mas" episode starting the 3rd Season and what you think will happen next. I have a few thoughts beginning this season but want to hear what others are thinking.
Thank You Mr. Neuman! I'll try to E-mail you later with what trouble I'm experiencing with the website.
Anyhooo.. Some initial thoughts of S3 EP1:
Skyler's awfully fast to run and see an attorney to file a divorce from Walt. Wouldn't a married couple who supposedly love each other as much as they indicate they do try to talk and work it out somehow? I mean, finding out your spouse is a big-time manufacturer of an illegal drug is pretty bad, but it's not the end of the world. I'm sure that Walt thinks it's a pretty drastic measure. No, Skyler is up to something herself. Possibly looking at an easy way out of a marriage to go play with Ted!!
As I mentioned in a previous post above, Hank knows everything. He absolutely has to. There is just way too much evidence all over the place of Walt being involved in the drug world. Hank is just playing it cool and letting Walt have fun with his little game, possibly to see what bigger fish he could lure in. The hardest thing Hank has to do is to keep all he knows to himself and not blabbing to his DEA buds. He may be waiting to see how far Walt really goes with this lifestyle, knows he's not really cut out for it, and is probably hoping he comes to his senses after he makes a certain amount of money, and gives it up before he gets himself killed.
Plus, as I attempted to post before with the other forum, and will try here again - I really wish two guys would roll up to my house and drop off their sweeet Benz in exchange for my old jeans!
I found a lot on this Santa Muerte on the net. Seems drug lords have taken it from the very poor and made it a powerful religion to go off and kill.
www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread491725/pg4
This site above is amazing!!! It researches Santa Muerte and has all kinds of videos. It is five pages long as you will see at the top of the page.
@bigfreakinnaz, I'm not altogether convinced Hank knows about Walt. He has his preconceived notion of the old Walt who was quite the milquetoast. His only glimpse of Heisenberger was briefly at the pool. It takes a lot to erase 15 years of knowing someone to suddenly realize they have done a 180 on you. Skylar was able to figure it out because she has had more clues than Hank from his behavior. The paid in cash medical bills, the extra cell phone, they sneaky behavior, Hank doesn't know any of this. And lets face it, Hank is not as sharp as he makes everyone think.
I did just about rotflma when Hank put the duffel bag with the cash in his car. Drug money in a narcs car! He put it there himself! He doesn't even know! Walt told him what was in it, and he blew it off! I was screaming.
I think Walt has realized how a web of deceit can grow exponentially and capture people not even involved. I think he has decided to deal only in the truth, no matter how brutal. That explains his absurd rambling at the grief rally at school, his confession to Skylar, and of course the coup d'gras, telling Hank what was in the duffel bag. I'm wondering if he will tell Flynn? The kid is tore up. First he thought his dad was going to die. Now he is going to live! But now mom is divorcing him? Why? He is going to set them down and demand answers, Skylar will do the old shuck and jive parents give the kids when the matter is to harsh. But will Walt tell him?
The Cousins are played, in fact, by a pair of brothers, only one of whom had any acting experience: Luis Moncada (the actor) and his brother Daniel (the rookie). Basically, they loved Luis's audition and asked if he had any relatives who looked like him. Both have screen presence to burn, as well as the self-possession to not flinch when the truck blew up.
Bless you Clayton for your efforts in correcting the posting problems...I was beginning to get paranoid that my postings were too volatile...haha
bigfreakinaz...I think Skyler is just hurt and angry at Walt for all the lies and deception that she wants to hurt him as he hurt her. So filing for divorce definitely is the mode to hurt Walt and get his attention. Divorce is sometimes used to get revenge at the other party and shock them. We might see Skyler withdraw that filing later on down the road as Season 3 continues.
Gracie...I nearly cracked up too watching that special moment when Hank and Walt are talking about what is in the duffle bag. For a few seconds...that moment was pretty intense to say the lease and wondered how Walt was going to get out of revealing what was in the bag...whew..smart thinking Walt...and funny!!! Quick wit, Walt! You are getting better at deception as the Season pass!!
For a 1st timer to this I've already got a burning question answered. self-inflicted suffering like walking on your knees over long distances and self flagellation are examples of a death cult name: Santo Muerte. Apparently Mexican drug cartels use it to justify torture and murder. BB is the best series. I have watch many & my favorites have been 6 ' Under, The Sopranoes, Mad Men, but now along comes BB. I'll be going back to watch season 1&2
Thanks - love the comments
Jesse is now the adult. The counselor's story of backing over his daughter pulled Jesse into the real world. The purchase of his parents' home is both vengeance over their rejection of him and affirmation his new adult path. He has accepted that he is "The Bad Guy", which is his first step toward becoming a Good Guy. Walt saved Jesse's life when Jesse was at his lowest. Unknowingly, Jesse is positioning himself to save Walt's life. He will rise above the destructive life he's had so far.
Well big mouth Skylar had to go and tell her attorney.AND kiss the moron AND tell Walt that she "had relations" HA! That isn't quite how she put it.Time for Skylar to go to the great beyond. I hope the eavesdropping bad guys get her.
What Walt did was horrible, but he did it for her.She is all high and mighty about Walt doing something illegal, but the schmuck at work is a crook too.
Are they sending Hank to El Paso to get rid of him.Is he getting too close to something? His partner wasn't interested in busting those guys.Why.Is his partner on the take?
Wow...I never liked Skyler. ( A 40 yr. old woman named Skyler?) Anyway, twinkle556 put it out there. Walt broke bad only for the welfare of his family. He loves his wife and his children. This goody two shoes skank tries to be holier than thou AND then sleeps with her boss??? Tells Walt??? What is she trying to prove??? Granted Walt was wrong for doing what he did. While I have felt a sense of compassion for every character on BB, even Tuco with his crazy ass, Skyler elicits nothing but contempt from me. I'm glad this is only a television series, because I really hope something 'bad' happens to her. She doesn't deserve Walt, Walt Jr., or the baby (who is just the cutest little thing). Even if she still wanted to divorce him, to screw that weasel of a boss and then throw it up in Walt's face was the last straw. If there is any justice, she will feel BIG pain,...long, slow, rectal cancer pain...Hey, I can dream can't I?
This may be a good series, but I sure get tired of all the pop-ups while I'm watching AMC. Aren't the endless regular commercials enough?
where am I
I agree
Hey all BB fans :) new to the show, I watched whenever I got the chance but missed the first 2 seasons. well one of the episodes in season 3 caught my attention, well not caught but just made me want to see what all i missed. This show is totally awesome Major props to the Writers and the Actors. I totally went out and got seasons 1 and 2 and caught up and I am TOTALLY hooked lol I cant wait to see what happens this sunday and the next and the next etc....etc
Breaking Bad Broke BAD this season! How does the best show on TV go to the worst show. Last week was the straw that broke the camels back with 35 minutes trying to catch a fly. If this is the best scripts that they can come up with then they need to end this show. This season has been a total waste of time! You can skip the first 45 minutes of every show and not miss anything. just watch the only action in the last 2 minutes and that's it. This used to be my favorite show on Tv.
At age 68, I identify somewhat with Walt. I have watched since Day 1. The scripts are believable, the cast make their character's believable. BrBa has become the ONLY 'must-watch' show in my busy schedule.
Br Ba is a Sunday night delight , I love Walt & Jesse , what a team , but , I know health care is BAD everywhere , but , I can't understand why isn't Hanks bills being paid by his employer DEA ??? Did I miss something ? Oh well , I'll watch it anyway ! Love you guys !
