Sound Effect when Walt Blows up Tuco's place
There is a sound effect used when Walt (aka "Heisenberg") throws the fulminated mercury to the floor and sets off the explosion at Tuco's pad. The best way to reference the sound effect I'm talking about is to go to the "10 Baddest Moments" and watch #6 "Heisenberg is Born". Fast-forward to 1:48. There is a background scream at 1:48 that sounds EXACTLY like the Howard Dean "meltdown" scream from back when eh was running for the Democratic nomination. Does anyone else hear this or am I just hearing things?
Homage References (?) Noticed any others?
There is a character named Tuco in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"; I didn't realize that, until I was watching a replay.
There is a Star Trek reference too: The old man in the wheelchair who uses the bell to signal 'yes or no" with the dings... In the Original Star Trek there is a 2-part episode called "The Menagerie" where Captain Pike communicates through beeps for yes and no.
I'm wondering if you have noticed any other homages; and , if you caught the ones I listed.

Official Breaking Bad Soundtrack... PLEASE!
I've asked about this before, but still haven't heard any official word other than "there will be one available at some point".
The music selections used in Breaking Bad are just as phenomenal as everything else about the show. I want to be able to listen to it in the car, at home and on my iPod! AMC, PLEASE release an official Breaking Bad Soundtrack!
I have scoured IMDB and iTunes for the individual songs used in each episode, but as of yet, due to their lack of availability anywhere, have only been able to acquire about a forth of the songs used on Breaking Bad. AMC, there are more than enough GREAT songs used in season 1 and season 2 to produce a fantastic 2 (or more) CD set of the Breaking Bad Soundtrack! Please don't make us wait anymore!
To anyone else who reads this who would also like to own the soundtrack, please reply to this message so we can show AMC how much demand there is for this!
AMC- Listen up -SHOW all of Season 1 and 2 in a one week slot
WISH AMC would see this...
WHY NOW to a Rethink of showing ALL of Season one and two in a one week period before the Season 3 OPENING NIGHT???
what is season 1 six episodes -3 per night 2 nights and we are all caught up on season 1!!!!!
Season 2 - I think 13 episodes even at 3 SHOWS PER NIGHT.. we would all be caught up and NEW VIEWERS SNAGGED IN...
All it would take would be rearranging a week----!!
(HECK- if a famous movie star died today - many Cable channels would rearrange their schedules tonight to start pumping out his/her movies! to capitalize on the death...)
THINK ABOUT IT......
Thats how I got into this show. is seeing the rerun on season one you played, I went to video store and caught up on season 1 all in one night YES I stayed up half the night to catch up and then was into season 2 which was starting!
I was a fish, and I never would have watched the show based on the concept of METH making etc.., it did not one first glance seem to appeal to me, BUT I am a rapid about Walter and his plight as many of the original day one fans! I posted an AD for YOU on my BLOG last night for cryin out loud......
Are there any other season similar ?
hey guys , have any of you come across other seaons similar to this one or any thing similar that is worth watching?
What Happened Vince?
Now that the writers and producers have came out of the cloud of smoke caused by the plane crash I would like to know why it has taken a year for them to come up with season three of Breaking Bad. Mad Men though I cant stand the show has came out with season three and most likely will be coming out with season four before the finale of season three of Breaking Bad ends.
Money for nothing
Is anyone else wondering why Walt is setting all the Money on fire in the season 3 teaser? Anyone have any Insight into this one, Please do tell.
Season 1 Episode 2
What is the song that plays at the end of episode 2, season 1?
After Walter blows up Ken Wins' car?
The lyrics are something like - did't I give you everything good lord...? Any help would be appreciated!
Breaking Bad Mobile Lab
What, no love for the Midwest? WE INVENTED METH!!
Seriously, are there plans for more traveling labs? After all, we've got a few major sporting events coming up in the next few months! Don't miss the chance to expand your market!
meth for grandmas
I have posted this before, but then again billions of people keep asking when season three will start, so there must be newbies who have not seen it.
100% Walt
"Jesse feels completely 100% guilty. Maybe it was just a chemical romance, but he lost her and he completely blames himself.
6 1/2 weeks and counting!!!
Holy crap, it's almost time to be utterly consumed by this crazy show again. anyone have predictions for season 3? When the show first started I seem to remember Vince G saying somehting about expecting it to wrap up in 3 seasons. Wonder what's gonna happen to the story line?
Breaking Bad Fortune Telling...
If you've seen the new videos, then what are you're predictions? Walt burning the money has to be over Skyler leaving, right? And here comes Gus to offer more money than ever. If Skyler isn't with him, then what's the use of being Walt at all? Why not reveal Heisenberg (Scarface part II)?
In the stills that are up it looks like they are shedding Jesse's brightly designed urban jackets for some toned down neutrals, which makes me think that he's not just going into a depression, but rather move toward his only real friend and father figure, Walt. I think he will not be so timid anymore, instead he will be more ruthless.
As for Hank I hope he can get past the trauma and start to see who the villains really are. The truth is right in front of him. He needs to step back to see the full picture of who his buddy Walt really is. Remember that Hank is the real hero and Walt is the demented Joker.
Do you agree?
Did Walt Kill Jane?
Jane killed Jane. Walt merely failed to intervene. He shouldn't have been there in the first place. He rationalized his lack of action for many reasons, not the least of which is that explaining his presence there would have been very difficult.
Why didn't he at least try to help her? Well, among other reasons, he is a science teacher, not a Doctor or an EMT. He already demonstrated that he has no CPR training in a previous episode.
Add that to the fact that Walt felt that Jane was a destructive element in Jesse's life (in a manipulative and fatal sense), and you can understand why Walt did not act.
Here's the twist: When Walt was trying to wake Jesse, this inadvertently caused Jane to roll over on her side. If Walt had never been there, Jane would still have been laying on her side when she began to vomit, and most likely wouldn't have choked to death! (This is undoubtedly a detail that never occurred to Walt)
More of Aaron Paul!
Anyone who shares my appreciation of Aaron Paul for more than just his impressive acting talent should be sure to watch the latest episode of "Big Love." In an early scene, we're treated to MORE of Aaron Paul than we've yet seen even on "Breaking Bad!" And I ain't talkin' screen time. Heh, heh, heh.
