Damn it's good to be out of that shit hole...lol

"One flew East...one flew West.
One flew over the cuckoo's nest."
LMAO!!! Good thing you headed West, Zia!
( l've been the one flying over the cockoo's nest, as usual! Hee hee hee!)
Hope the New Year & new locale suits you better!! lt's been a rough year for you...you deserve a break! =)
Oops, about my misspelling of "cuckoo"...talk about a
Freudian slip, eh?? ;)
i'm blushing ;-)
NM may be a shithole, but it is nothing compared to Illinois in January. We call this cold desert time "the Bleakness".West central IL is basically one big empty wasteland, with plenty of meth labs scattered about.Unless one is a storm chaser like me,all there is to do is get wasted on booze or hard drugs.
However,Fulton County,IL is also the home of "The Unabanker",my ex uncle William Alfred Ginglen. He was convicted of robbing 8 local banks in 2005,& received forty years in the stripey hole as a result.Al had been a decorated Marine & lost several jobs b4 he snapped in nov 2004,robbing 8 banks in 8 months.Al smoked crack & conjugated with a whore named Deb...he was busted in her house in Sangamon County,IL on Aug 20,2005.He had been cheating secretly all that time on his wife Donna Ginglen...we were in shock when he went down in flames. His 3 sons,2 of them being cops, turned him in together. It was a horrible tradegy,& made me a Br/Ba
fan from episode 1.Al & Donna behave just like Walt & Skyler, but I'm the one who really knows the chemistry of Br/Ba in real life.

To really appreciate NM you just look up.
The sky is blue, the climate is calm.
All in all it is better than SoCal.
And the best part is, we can afford to live in NM.
lc,
i guessing that may mean las cruces.. i liked it down there.
guess it's a love/hate relationship with NM , I've seen it change quite a bit over the years.
never really spent all that much time in abq., more in the east mountains which wasn't so bad.
Most of the time was up in santa fe, which is absurdly expensive, doing a little price checking i find it's just as much if not more expensive than being in socal. Guess that's why they did the fair wage act in SF.... min wage is close to $10 an hour there and a good deal of places are shutting down.
then there is the rail runner train which basically is there because the state workers have to live elsewhere, so the government has subsidized transportation for them.
yeah if you work for the labs or the feds it ain't too bad or if you bought in early.. but that's SF
abq got named as #1 by the film industry ..la#2.. but it is going to backfire on richardson... as cali. will be handing out tax incentives soon. just like nm
again i love it and hate it both.. yeah socal crowded, it's taking some getting use too..not sure i'll hang here..but even thou stuff is $$.. wages are a bit better across the board..
can't beat the night sky in NM ..
hmm interesting thing in the abq. journal
h1n1 deaths in children is 5 times higher in NM than the rest of the nation
Say did'nt NM have an outbreak of the Hanta Virus that killed a few People several years ago??? As I remember it, it originates from dried out Rodent dung and it becomes lethal after it dries out and is spread through then air.
