"Breaking Bad" actors in other roles

In one of the other threads I started, "How do we know when he's being Heisenberg.....?" I happened to mention seeing a couple of movies recently that featured actors from "Breaking Bad" : I ran across the 2005 film, "American Gun" on TV the other night and recognized the voice of Dean Norris ("Hank") in a small role, even before his face appeared on the screen! And Aaron Paul ("Jesse") co-stars in this year's, "Last House on the Left," which recently came out on DVD. I ordered a showing of it on "Movies On Demand." Our Aaron is a very bad boy in this movie, and wow,, does he pay for it! It was suggested that we start a thread where we can post such info. on where we can catch the amazingly talented actors (male & female, cast, recurring characters & guest stars) of "Breaking Bad" while we await Season 3. So...here it is. All contributions welcome!

The only Actor from this Series that I can recall seeing in other Movies is Raymond Cruz. I first saw him co-staring in Patriot Games with Harrison Ford. He played a Army Special Forces Sniper working in a covert Operation in Columbia. He worked for a CIA spook played by Willem Dafoe. The other Movie I saw him in was Training Day with Denzel Washington. In this Movie Raymond plays a East LA Gang banger . He plays Poker and thinks he won with his two pair against 3 of a kind...

Badger was on a commercial but I cant remember which one. He should be in the one where the guys are driving around town in a junky car and have bad band jobs because their credit is bad.

user-pic

repugnant, I think you're talking about the Midas Muffler commercial I mentioned somewhere on here, featuring Matt Jones, who plays "Badger." I think he drives through the wall of a Midas Muffler shop. At the end, we hear him singing the jingle, "Get the Midas touch" in his very distinctive voice. :-)

user-pic

repugnant - That is hilarious, those credit commercials are great! I forgot to mention Danny Trejo, he has had several roles in various movies also.

user-pic

Bryan Cranston was in "That Thing You Do". He played the role of an astronaut guest on the TV show the Wonders played on. And of course he was Doctor Tim Whatley on Sienfeld.

user-pic

Walt's cancer surgeon also played a cancer surgeon on the Sopranos(Dr. Kennedy). And, he was a cop on Malcom in the Middle.

Thanks rockmama! =) This is GREAT!!!

Just like repugnant said...we all are desparately needing a fix on our favorite BB stars! (Even if the fix, is "cut" with them from other shows/commercials. ;) Heh heh heh! )
LMAO, about Badger being in a "Bad Credit" commercial!!

Last season, someone else said, that Matt Jones was in a deoderant ad, too...??

R.W., one of my kids favorite movies, was "Spy Kids"...we had to watch it about a hunnert-million-bazillion times! Hah!
Danny Trejo played their uncle in it. =)

Am thinking that maybe Bryan Cranston, was one of the voices, in the cartoon movie, "El Dorado"??? =\

bullieboi: OMG!! We STILL love to watch reruns of "Malcolm in the Middle"!!!

A few months back, we were channel-flipping & saw Anna Gunn on some movie...it was like, "Hey look! There's Skyler!!"
But...as previously mentioned...we were surfing & I was'nt in control of the remote. ;) Haha!

Rockmama- Thanks for starting this thread. Our people are responding and finding out cool things. How about this one Skinney Pete aka Charles Baker was in a 2006 Movie Titled "Fat Girls" and he was a roller rink attendant. Didnt see it but its listed on the Internet Movie Database.Blew my mind, can you see Skinney Pete doeing that. That was good casting too. I wonder if he was slinging some dope at the rink when BB people spotted him?

user-pic

Oop's, Got my Tom Clancy titles mixed up. Raymond Cruz was in "Clear and Present Danger", Harrison Ford was staring in that one also. Ok, now that I got that one corrected I can turn in for the night with a clear conscience. Good night all...

user-pic

Hank and Gomie were in "Dumb & Dumber" ;)

user-pic

Glad the thread is thriving!

I know I've mentioned this before (probably several times. LOL), but we can't leave out Aaron Paul's role as Scott in "Big Love." What I find kind of cool is that when I first started watching "Breaking Bad" (the Season 1 marathon, then Season 2), I didn't realize at first that the actor playing Jesse was the same guy I'd seen on "Big Love!" I was so impressed the night I realized it (the shows ran back to back on Sunday nights), that's when I first started thinking, "An actor who can play two totally different roles THAT WELL deserves an Emmy!"

user-pic

Bryan Cranston really played his "scam artist" role of Stan Grossman in "Little Miss Sunshine" so well and then seeing him in this series, I knew Bryan would be a hit in anything he portrayed.

user-pic

Aaron was that throw up guy in the Korn video did anyone mention that yet
The guy who plays Badger is great in

this

user-pic

dam it I knew I didn't do that right sorry about that
well just go to youtube and look for badgers right guard commercial

user-pic

OMG, you're right!!! Good eye, Blue Runner!!! Thanks for reminding me about that KoЯn video! (But, EWWWW, all that puke was SO gross!! =P LOL!)

rockmama: Yeppers, I'm really GLAD you made this thread! It's been a lot of fun!! =)
Also...one of the things I especially enjoy about AMC~they usually show a series of different movies, with basically the same main actors/actresses in it, back-to-back...it's amazing to see how they can play such different people, from one movie to the next!
(For some reason, I NEVER get tired of watching Fight Club!! ;) BTW, that was a hint, AMC! LOL)

Bryan Cranston did a good job portraying astronaut Buzz Aldrin in the incredible HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon".
