Skyler's haitian divorce
Ok, Since we are on the subject of Skyler and her future. Here something to ponder. If Walt and Sky do part ways, do they end up in Judge Judy's Divorce Court? I have my own theories on how this might play out, but would like to hear some other idea's.
- (0)

you can get a divorce over the phone nowdays
Yeah, but it still costs you everything you own or will ever earn. Damned lawyers.
RW- thanks for bringing up the issue of Skylar and what may happen to her.Possibly our theories are similar but they will be different than Lindas 555 who is a Skylar fan but a nice person.. Skylar will dump Walter. The divorce will be ugly. Skylar had already screwed Ted at the origianal Christmas party. She lied to her sister about Mr.grabby hands and had actually sang a Christmas song while Teds pants were down. Ted was always on her radar, he was wealthy, good looking and healthy.
After the divorce Skylar and Ted move in together things are good until Teds business goes under for back taxes and Sylars botique flops. Their lives spiral down to a point where they get hooked on drugs and do heroin and meth. Skylar resorts to prostitution after they have to sell everything to pay for their habits They move into a seedy motel. Skylar looks anorexic excep for her large face of course
(which now is covered with sores). Ted doesn't look much better.
Badger, now their meth supplier, has to come to their motel room and save Holly from starvation as Sky and Ted go comatose for three days. Sky is lying on her talk pillow when Badger arrives. That Skank ruined a good family.
hahahaha That sounds like the making of a good series plot.

No I am not a full blown Skyler fan as most of the regulars on this talk forum will tell you, repugnant. I once thought Skyler resembled a "shrike". (Check with past postings to find this topic I introduced sometime ago). Yes, Skyler has some issues, but her life with Walt later in Season 2, gives her reasons why she might be so disgruntled, and I would not feel too enthused about a husband that takes off for hours on end, no explanation and lies continuously. No communciation between Skyler and Walt does create marital problems,....ask any therapist and they will tell you, most marriages fail for lack of communication. Skyler just had enough of the lies for so long, it was impossible to get Walt to confess his strange and distant behavior and not showing up for the birth of their daughter, I am sure if you ask any woman, that would be grounds enough to leave. Quite possibly, Skyler will divorce Walt and I think she has some pretty valid reasons why and as far as Ted...it could be a "rebound romance" right now. Skyler is much smarter than what Vince is leading the viewers to believe and her character is basically a "back burner" until Vince wants to introduce more drama and he will, as stated in one of Vince's interviews talking about the drama between Ted and Skyler. Season 3 will be interesting to see what Vince writes in about these two, Skyler and Ted.

So, repugnant, where is little Holly in all of this drama of Ted and Skyler? Do you really think a new mother is going to leave her baby and get on bad drugs with Ted....I don't think so.
Lindas555- I knew this day was going to come and I am going to try and simplify a complicated issue with no experience in psycology, marital counseling or for that matter intelligence. But here it is.
Now suppose that I am married to you. Am I going to come home, ask you to sit down on the couch, tell you that I love and then tell you that I have been producing and selling methamphetamine on a large scale basis to people in my own community and during that time I killed two Mexicans. I dont think so.
That is what is so great about this show. Its showing life as it is not how it should be.
Now as far as Holly, did you miss the episodes with Spooge and his wife? Thats real, and it has happened to a lot of people in this country, little kids or not. So it is possible not probable though, just trying to give RW and the rest some fodder
You are right about Marie, she is not a role model and you called me out on it. We ARE ALL GOING NUTS BECAUSE WE NEED MORE NEW BB.
I don't see Skyler turning into a trash druggie for Ted. She has a baby to take care of, and a teenage son. Skyler might be bitchy at times, only because she trying to understand why her husband is acting irratic and that would concern any wife. Your scenario, above is telling us that Skyler dumps her children and runs off with Ted to get on drugs and then falls to pieces. Hey, this woman is NOT, and I repeat, NOT that stupid and has a degree in accounting. So why would she trash her life and run off with Mr. Embezzler, leave her children, get on drugs and then waste away as a druggie? Can you think of any wife/mother doing that so she could lose her children who she dearly loves...Repugnant, that would be insane and just plain stupid. Spooge and his wife are druggies and probably doesn't have a degree and a good job and has very poor parenting skills. You are comparing apples with organges and it doesn't compare at all from Skyler and her children v.s. Spooge, his wife and his child. I don't see Vince putting that scenario together..what is the point of the series if Vince completely trashes all his characters in Season 3?
at the end of season 2
I see Walt catching some rays by the pool.
The pool catching airplane deris.
Neither appear to be packing to move out.
Repugnant - Always happy to help a brother out. Will be adding my two cents below.
Linda - I remember your "Shrike" topic. Its where our running scrimmage all began. Our lovers spat if you will. Now we've come along way, so lets maintain cool and not piss anyone off, ok. Lucky for you my Wood chipper is in my Man cave being converted from regular gasoline to CNG, to comply with California's Ecco regulations, that should make you Happy? So its currently disabled for safety purposes while I work on it. "Safety First" as the saying goes...
Now, as we left our intrepid Anti-Hero Walter White aka Herr Heisenberg at poolside staring at the Blue, Blue, Azure Sky as it turned into a blazing fire ball, plummeting to the Earth. Ok enough of that Poetic Crap, here's the deal. Fast forward in time. Walt and Sky tried the "Talking Pillow" thing before. Its time to move onto from all that New Age BSand get real. Skyler decides it will not workout and decides to leave Walt, she's had enough, enough of the Lies, enough of Walt blowing her off, enough of the Sexual advances when she is wearing the "Avocado facial" cream stuff. She's out of there and besides she has buckled under and let Ted get some and she liked it. Ted is a caring and well groomed man, who takes his time and knows how to pleasure a Woman after all. Yes that sealed the deal, she wanted it to work out with Walt, but he was just to distant. - End of Page 1
Skyler needs to retain the service of an Attorney. She is headed back to Sis's house and see's Sauls office in that strip mall and decides to drop in and ask a few questions. Saul is in and Greets her and directs her into his office, leaving the door slightly ajar to keep Skyler at ease, after all Skyler can tell that Saul is aroused. That sit down and Skyler see's the ashes sitting on the scales of Justice that Jesse flicked there during Walt and Jesse's last Consultation some months earlier. Saul opens the Consultation by asking her "So what can I do for you"? - End of Page 2
Skyler explains her situation and asks Saul how she should proceed. She explains that she and her Husband have grown apart and there is no way that they will be able to reconcile their differences. Saul then advisers her that He does not normally do "Divorces", they're just too messy and the Monetary return on time invested, well lets just say it not worth my time. I'm too busy chasing bus accidents, Sexual harassment claims in the workplace, now that's where the money is at. Skyler is some what shocked, but understands, She knew that from the start, that Saul was a what we might call a seedy character from the cheesy commercials. - End of Page 3
Saul cuts to the Chase and thumbs through his gold platted rolodex and says "Ah here we go". Then thumbs through a stack of business cards and pulls out one with a name of a young aspiring Divorce Attorney named "Ken", who just happened to intern at Saul's first practice. He asks Skler if she would like to talk with Ken as his office is not far away in the new strip mall just down the street, its next to the El Pollos Hermanos, "Home of that Tasty Golden Bird". Then explains that he has a 12:00 appointment and that he will walk her out to the front door. Saul opens the door and Skylers thanks him for his time and Saul still aroused will not let go of her hand, which creeps her out as she gives Saul one of those Thanks but no Thanks kinda looks. End of Page 4
Skyler Jumps into the Jeep Cherokee and locks the door automatically and heads down the road to Kens office in the new strip mall. Skyler pulls into the strip mall and parks next to a brand spanking new, top of the line metallic blue BMW convertible 520I, with of one of those personalized License plates which reads "Ken Wins" in front of the Law office of enter name, enter name and associates. She enters the Law office and is greeted by Ken, yes that Ken, that obnoxious blue tooth wearing Yuppie Punkass from Season 1. End of Page 5
Skyler and Ken hit it off and she explains her situation. Ken explains the costs up front and what course they will need to follow. Skyler pays the retainer and she is in business. Fast forward to Walt's new abode, a little bungalow down the Beautiful tree lined street just down from Jesse's Parents home. Walt's at home and receives a knock on the door, he peers through the peep hole (Fish eyed lens which distorts the image) in the solid oak door and its a Domino's Pizza delivery guy, Walt says to himself WTF. He opens the door and is served with the Divorce papers from Skylers Attorney. Fast forward again to the courtroom scene. Skyler and Ken are seated as Walt and Saul enter. Walt automatically recognizes Skylers Lawyer as that obnoxious blue tooth wearing Yuppie Punkass, who's old BMW was destroyed by Walt in a classic Breaking Bad moment. - End of Episode
Vince - Mr. Gilligan, Get your crack team of script writers to fill in all this critical details that have I skipped over and you too, like Skyler are in business. Yours Faithfully, R.W.
Bravo, R. W., bravo! You brought back that obnoxious jerk with the "KEN WINS" vanity tag on his high priced car that Walt ruined. I love the possibility. Bravo, R. W.!
Okay, R.W., sounds better than repugnant's theme of let's trash Skyler into adultery and become the druggie queen of ALBQ and loses her children from her trashy behavior. Just seems pretty unlikely. Lately, the other series, somewhat similar, such as "Weeds", is taking the average female from the home life of raising children and providing a stable environment to trash their lives for what? Women, in that particular station of life, are not going jeopardize everything to become a druggie. I hope Vince doesn't go down that road as writers are doing now. I realize Vince is trying to show the "extreme" in people, but other writers from other series are also doing a worse hack job on female characters and evidently its a new "trend". Vince has tactfully handled Skyler's character pretty well so far, even with her quirks, and has shown what happens to females when they cross an extreme line of decency, such as Jane and Spooge's wife and show the results of a less responsible lifestyle. I will be watching to see what he does with Skyler, and Marie in Season 3 and see if he can still hold that standard with female characters as he has in the past.
And yessss, I was hoping Walt would take care of "Ken Wins"..the little jerk! The problem is living out here in LaLaLand Hollywoodland, there a thousands of "Ken Wins". Maybe that is Walt's new job..taking care of all those "Ken Wins"!!!!
RW- Good work. You have replaced Tuco with Ken. Brilliant. I did go a little overboard on Skylers demise but that was only done because I heard from an inside source that Spooge used to be advertising executive and his wife was a librarian before they took to meth. Therefore anything can happen to Ted and Sky even if Linda 555 doesn't think so.
Repugnant...where the series, the past seasons, does it reveal Spooge and his wife had legitmate lifestyles before getting on drugs???? Possibly I have missed that episode and if it did reveal this info about Spooge and his wife, which episode?
Good Question RW. What are the law's about divorce in ABQ? Are they No Fault like here in wisconsin? They both get to divey up everything, equally? No matter what? We don't know who came up with the down payment for their house.
Tweeds
Pretty sure Walt can tell Skylar to go fly a kite out here.
My guess is they get back together....
after spending a few days with Hank and Marie she is going to realize that Walt isn't so bad after all.
It's just post-partem depression on Sky's part.
She will get on New Mexico's Medical Marijuana program and chill out...and gain 25 lbs.
Zia, your statements about Skyler really do reveal a lot about how you feel about women and childbirth..
I'll partially agree with you, zia. Living with Hank and Marie is a good deterrent, but Skyler has to decide who and what she wants. Does she want a silent, resentful Walt or a phony cheat like Ted? Or would she rather go it alone than trust either man? The fate of her marriage and key turning points of the story hinge on her decision. IF Walt and Skyler stay together she'll have to take a fall. Nobody in BB seems to be able to rise up until after they've been knocked down hard.
Zia, your statements about Skyler really do reveal a lot about how you feel about women and childbirth
thank you Dr. Linda.....roflmao
Lindas555 - "but other writers from other series are also doing a worse hack job on female characters and evidently it's a new "trend". Linda - Q. Who gets Adam to take a bite of the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge?
Lindas555 - Here is a hint to the answer for the question above. It comes from a very old Text.
R.W. ..didn't think you were that old fashioned and had more of an impression you were a little more progressive towards the religious aspect. Besides, history has proven the translations and misinterpretations of the bible are vast! The well known Catholic church is notorious for translating versions of the bible to their own tune..mainly by monks. All those male monks with no place to go with their hidden lustful urges...tsk tsk..... We can banter back and forth of the religious aspect of man vs. women, but I don't think you have time or energy to discuss this area.
But, getting back to the real subject matter concerning Breaking Bad, It seems when the male characters break bad, thats acceptable and okay, but when a female in the series seems to have some problems with the male acting out, she is considered "bitchy".
And I do think Zia has some issues with women from his statement or less compassionate for women and childbirth.
Linda - As far as religion goes, I am Progressive. I was baptized in a Lutheran church, so that automatically make my a heretic in the eye's of most Catholic's. Hell that qualifies me as an outright Rebel and I live up to that reputation too. I like to gamble, swear and have had pre-marital sex on countless occasions. As far as Monkish behavior, you got me there, because I do like to drink Beer.
Linda - We need to hook up! Can you give me some Vitals, height, weight, hair color, oh and also, do you have long finger nails?
Watch out RW. Next thing you know you will be laying in bed and your new woman will be stroking you while she is also blogging on her computer.
Lynnduh
read in whatever you like about the show.
But please don't pretend you have enough knowledge about me or anyone else here to make some sort of bs analysis of someone's post
Linda - zia just recently lost his mother, did you forget that?
thanks for remembering RW...but I really don't feel that has any real impact. I'm good with it, she had a very full life.
Seems to me that on many occasions I have defended the women in the show. While others are saying Ted and Skylar are doing the wild thing. I have said that she seems uncomfortable around him.... and in reality she has done anything wrong.
How many times have I come to the bat for Jane?
While everyone else was saying how bad she was fro Jesse and planned to rip him off...wtf??
Marie a dork... not only to Sky but to Hank as well.
Does that mean all woman are dorks.... no it means that there are dorky women as well as dorky men.
and I have 5 kids .. so I know a little about raising children and the things woman go through afterwards.
"She will get on New Mexico's Medical Marijuana program and chill out...and gain 25 lbs"
is it the gaining 25lbs that struck a nerve?
it was not a reference to woman in as much as it was a reference to getting the friggin munchies.
ahh but the great wisdom of the all seeing Lynnduh
You guys must really forgive Linda...
Her TV & her life, are still in Black & White. =\
I started to respond, to one of Lindas' posts last night...but, it turned into a rant, usually reserved for Tweeds. *sigh*
Geesh, Zia, you know women are going to come after you for making a slam at post-partem depression...when Tom Cruise made another slight about it, he lost valuable popularity points and many swore against watching his movies ever again. If you have five children, then you must have some degree of knowledge of what women endure at times.
If you want to refer to the "munchies" then say it, rather to imply women gaining 25lbs as a sterotype slam at women. Your choice of wording came off in a negative tone. Yes, you struck a nerve about the weight issue, because it seems ALL women have that struggle shoved in their faces the day they are born and lord, forbid, a man gains 50 lbs., that is acceptable.
Sorry to hear of your mother passing and is very sad to hear and hope she didn't suffer in her lifetime. I, too lost my mother last year, and losing a parent is devestating.
linda...
the gardener needs to water you more often
