OTC DRUGS
Well, being a victum of Vioxx and Bextra, How does everyone feel about the OTC Over The Counter drugs and prescribed drugs that have been let through the FDA?

I try to not take any.
BP-BMI.... pretty good for a guy my age. Drink lots of water
The Drug Companies pretty much cherry pick their test groups...
this scares me

So much for the periodic table. Nothing like a good cup of coffee or tea in the morning with an everything oatmeal bagel! Then walking to the bustop! Oh ya, and a cat named Marga and the other cat named Tempest to wake one up? Knowing they too are carbon based, and they know thier very lucky I don't fire them up to be carbonized since they're my alarm clocks. We have a great symbiotic relationship. If only they would sweep their fur.
We have become a people who tolerate no discomfort. The drug companies have used this to develop a drug for every "problem". There is a pill for every problem, and 2 more to treat the side effects. We eat crappy food, lay around the house, then demand (with a 5 $ copay, if not free) drugs to treat the results.
I thought you said you didn't have any weed
things change .....lol
Tweeds, I have a house full of cats too (could ya tell?) Sometimes it's like living in a frickin zoo.
Like a friend of mine use to say "Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night - be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels."
OTC...hardly take them and try to do without them.
Is alcohol considered an OTC? Then yes!
Let's not forget that amphetamines were once FDA approved.
But I like mind altering substances. Hell, I've huffed the NOX out of Redi Whip cans!
Unforgiven, Chef that I am can give you a hint. Whippets! You can by them at any kitchenware store or adult toy store along with the cannister to let the fun out. Nitrous is fun. Relatively low on the brain damage.

Please, please, please, don't turn this string into a political brawl. But if we get national health care shoved up our @$$, I want all pharmaceuticals turned generic and be over the counter. If I can't see a doctor, I'll log on to WebMD, figure it out as best I can and self-medicate! If the drug is dangerous or addicting, I'll sign a paper at the drug store saying that I assume all risks and can't sue anyone. But if the stupid central government thinks it can play doctor on me, I'd rather not play with them because they lie, cheat and steal, and they're very very rude.
This might also put an end to the illegal drug trade. If people can go down to the drug store and get their dope for OTC prices, it'll shut down all the organized crime in the Western Hemisphere and bankrupt all the terrorist groups relying on that ill-gotten money from America.
Hell, we'd save money just on the prison system reform because three-fourths of our felons are in jail for dope. We can let many of those idiots go and shut down costly prisons.
No, I am not running for office. I thought you had a higher opinion of me than that.
WalkerColt, don't you know this is political? Its got everything involved as to whats legal and who can sell it. Its takin away from everyone who can grow herbs in their own backyards. Bark from the trees of birch trees to make asprin. An NSAID.
Salicylic acid. Works well for me and keeps my heart pumping. Peyote the true wonder drug if you wish to go into a trip in your own mind. Its all political. Excactly in life nowday's with prisons over populated for misdemeaners. What would you do?
Shit we as a nation are putting so many away in prison for non murder things. Taking a father or mother away from their kid/kids for selling pot! This show is entirely politcal! This show after all is about a man who teaches and has no insurance to cover him. He thought his insurance would cover him, but it didn't. So he broke bad.
Shit, if his insurance would have covered him, none of us would be talking about this show. This is the brilliance of Vince Gilligan. He's brought up the truth of everyone's live's here in AMERICA!!! The land of the melting pot.
We are still a great country. We hang out in bars and talk with each other. We debate. That is a natural thing for humans. And we are a speices, along with all of the other spieces.
We have a tendancy to think we're better than them. We also in our inadaquate tendincies of being human compare ourselves to other races as being not human.
Its wrong! Its got to stop.

The DrugLord's Prayer,by The Podfather:
Now I lay down in my bed.I brushed my teeth & fed my head.
If I hallucinate all night, let these things not be filled with fright.
Br/Ba-Men.
I am a chronic sinus headache sufferer, have been all my life.
Every OTC remedy, including aspirin & other NSAIDS,are 100% ineffective against chronic sinus headaches.Until, that is,I was introduced to morphine by way of gall bladder removal & an acute pancreatic attack.I was given morphine for 6 days, while I was having severe sinus pain. The morphine 100% NUKED that sinus pain,& kept it away for the duration of my hospital stay.It also nuked the pancreatic pain, said by my doctors to be worse than (Walt's) cancer pain.If opiates were sold over the counter,I would not DARE abuse such a miracle in my life...I compare sinus pain relief to controlling one's asthma.I don't have asthma, but sinusitis is a cousin to asthma. The sinuses add water vapor to the air entering the lungs,& heat it to body temp.I ennjoy my newfound pain police,& I'll fight tooth & nail for my right to use them
to arrest that diabolical sinus pain.Otherwise,I must press on my eyeballs for a few seconds of pain reduction.I'd
much rather take drugs thann be a self-hurter in public.
Until the DEA suffers my pain,or "walks a mile in my pain shoes",I say screw the DEA & their humiliation of the sick purely for social approval.
Oh Yeah...I once smoked gov't-grown cannabis in a study on its effects on eye problems. My eyes wiggle & w/o cannabis,I cannot focus on one object. While I don't advocate drugs for children, they should be medically available to those who demonstrate a need. Some of us are more than mature enough to handle the responsibility, regardless what politicians say.I belong to an exclusive club...those who smoked cannabis LEGALLY before the current cannabis Rx movement, which I am 100% for.I voted for myself as a write-in,to avoid the conscience trip over endorsing those awful drug laws.
However,I still find Cheech & Chong quite hilarious.Unlike all this waiting for Br Ba season 3.Walt Needs to Cook!!!
