Hank is not a player in Season 3
Hank has shown he is nothing like the person he pretends to be. He is a man plagued by self doubt and self loathing. He is a gas bag and a phoney. He became physically ill when his co workers gave him Tuco's grill, (very inappropriate gift in my opinion). He has panic attacks and he can't even speak Spanish. How can you live in New Mexico and not speak Spanish. I was born in Amarillo and hell I speak Spanish. Hank is a bumbling, stumbling fat sack of doughnut batter. So, how can he bring our hero down? It just would not be right if this nobody of a bum, disgrace to his badge, was allowed to capture Walt. I don't see Hank as a real player in Season three.

Wow, do you have some deep seeded problems with authority figures or are you like Tweeds a man hating Lesbian? You sure sound like one...
Game on...
Hank will be a player in season three. They did not put that cannister for Walts donations in the DEA office for no reason.RW may be a little harsh on bullieboy comparing him to Tweeds, but I will bet you that bullieboy has been arrested on several occasions.
Awww...I've always liked ol' Hanky-Panky! =) He could come up with some great, smartass one-liners, that would crack me up!
LMAO, R.W....is your new avatar, what Skylers' avacadoed-masked face looked like, when it was pushed up against the fridge?
Bwa ha ha!
Bullieboi aka Tweeds...
I liked Hankie, though I was surprised to see him fold in El Paso after the turtle-head blow up. I had bought into his blowhard persona (and maybe he and the rest of the family had, too) as a bit of macho posturing, but still pretty rock solid. So, for Hank to lose his mojo/self confidence was a big suprise for me. Overall, though, I think Hank's storyline is as vital to Walt's storyline as anyone's in Breaking Bad.
Not only will Hank's focus on the blue meth cooker keep us posted on the evoluation/status of how close Walt and Jesse may or may not be to getting caught......but, I think Hank's life/persona will reflect the polar opposite of Walt's life/persona.
Meaning, we see Walt evolving from this rather sweet, passive timid man into this hardened criminal while Hank slowly changes from the strong, macho lawman (with all the admiration/kudos in both the White and Schrader families) to some unsure, failing, ineffectual DEA agent. It would and could be a great contrast between two men whose characters were at polar opposites at the beginning of the series.
"ol' Hanky-Panky! =)" I like that. It says it all, LOL !!
Hey bullieboi, I do believe that R.W. posted a wee bit of a slight against you. He thinks that you and I are the same person.

Bullieboi aka Tweeds
I could be wrong?
Well...what is this world coming to?!? =\
Tweeds...are you putting yourself down, now? LMAO, you are certainly full of suprises!! =)
Speaking of R.W....he never did tell me, what his new avatar represented. ;) Ha ha ha!
Jamm54...if Hank does find out that Walt is Heisenberg, do you believe Hank is going to be shocked over Walt's transformation of meek, mild mannered Walt to the extreme Heisenberg? Or do you believe possibly as I have, had hunches Hank has a gut instinct something is going on with Walt's personality change since the Cancer treatments? Hank and Walt do have the "opposites" as you claim in the beginning, but slowly but surely, Walt has changed.
