Tweeders1 - it is offensive and no girl/woman should have to read it on this site or any other one. So quit being an asshole and man up and apologies to the readers on this site!
THANK YOU, Hank Jr.!!! I appreciate you standing up for us here!! =)
Tweeds: Yes...it where that awful smell is coming from, from between your legs!
>=(
Go take a bath...and, while you're at it...wash your mouth out with some soap, too!
Wow, Now that is offensive. I might push the envelope, but you Tweeds have just crossed the Red line with that one. Once again you are one Sorry, Poor, Poor, Sick individual...
ACCCCCCK!!! >=P I agree, R.W.!! LOL
The "c" word is incredibly derogatory and offensive. There are very few people, the description of which, truly qualify for its usage. I cannot believe someone used it on a message board.
This word is repulsive. Even Tuco kept it out of his vocabulary.
Spooge may have used it but that shows what company your in.
repugnant - You are absolutely right about Tweeds being Repulsive, in fact I'm going to expand on that. Tweeds goes beyond Repulsive, you might as well add deceitful, delusional and a Transparent. Yes tweeds, we are on to your twisted Psycho - Pathetic ways. You and all your fabricated and fictitious "imaginary friends" & "Alter ego's" that you have created: ednaB, Bullieboi and now Brokenbutnotbad and probably more, that you have brought onto this site out of thin air in the middle of summer? Are you really that simple to believe that you could not be spotted doing this? You and your boastful and overinflated ego gets in the way of any rational thought process and is replace with Insane rantings and incoherent BS. In other words your writing style is very obvious. - Clayton if you're reading this, you also have been played here my friend. Tweeds is using her "Imaginary forum posters" to win your BB gear, reference the latest winner "Bullieboi".
Q. Should someone who creates a hateful and completely Vile post like Tweeds has done be allowed to Post on the Breaking Bad forum from this point on? I for one do not think so, I hereby call for a permanent Banishment of Tweeds and (all of her other aliases) from this site forthwith. Maybe then this forum can return to normal for the rest of us...
diksee - You were the first to expose Tweeds and her "multiple personalities" on that post by Tweeds fictitious friend ednaB. Just want to give credit where it is due. It takes a Weasel to ferret out a Rat...
I am surprised that AMC allowed this question to be on the talk forum. Geesh, Tweeds, what were you thinking by using this ugly derogatory word for a woman?
What the hell?!
Are you trying to Break bad there Tweeds?
Actually, I could be wrong, but in the Season 1 dvd series, I think when Walt told Gretchen off at the restaurant he used this word after she had walked away, almost like a muttering it under his breath, but not fully pronouncing it. Am I just imagining that? Anyone else hear/see that on the dvd set?
Otherwise, yes, still think it's one of the ugliest, most offensive words in today's vernacular which is hard to beat, considering all the everyday common uses of obscenities in today's world. Not that I'm exempt from swearing, can spew it out with the best of 'em, unfortunately.
Gosh RW, I don't know who tweeds is. I don't even know if she is a man or a woman. Her rantings got me to respond once and her reply was so off the wall I just decided to let her be her. Who needs it? Then you started in saying she was all these different people. I was as surprised as anyone when I won a tee shirt. But it is just a promo item. A freebie give away nothing. Your comments are making this forum a very hostile place. I don't think I have ever said anything or started any thread that did not directly pertain to the "Breaking Bad" television show. Maybe you are really tweeds. I don't care, but please let's keep it about the show. Please don't respond with more paranoid insults, I will just ignore you like I do tweeds.
bullieboi- about four hours before Tweeds posted this question you used the same demeaning word in your post on 8/21/2009 in the strand" I am ready for season #3".So take Hank Jrs advice above and apologize.Tweeds is a goof but no wonder RW thinks you and Tweeds are together.
I am responsible for the quote "Skyler is a total c**t." It is my opinion of her as a TV character. I guess that was pretty strong language for this forum. I am sorry. But I have nothing to do with this thread or that wacko tweeds.
When WalkerColt left, R.W. wrote:
"I too will miss Walkercolt, he was a Good Man and Highly Intelligent Man, but now we need to circle the wagons and Press on."
Personal attacks and outrageous posts are harming this talk forum. We need to circle the wagons and press on right NOW.
Amen Amen, Rockmama. I too, am very tired of the personal attacks on this talk forum and hope Breaking Bad fans don't revert to those bloggings I see time and time again on other news bloggign sites where postings are personal attacks on others who don't agree with the particular viewpoint.
Thank you for supporting my same view I have had for some time now. It's too bad there isn't an "ignore button" for postings are directed to individuals who like to trash the forum.
I miss walkercolt and Nimrod, whom both could voice their opinion without trashing others beliefs and concerned themselves with only the Breaking Bad series. So onward the wagons for me too.
Yes, Jamm54..I seem to remember Walt saying that nasty term for a woman under his breath, when dealing with Gretchen..so you are not imagining that scene. Walt said it ever so slight, I barely heard it but you could see him mouth the word.
Jamm54 you are correct. I guess I was inspired by DIKSEE! Just being DIKSEE and his user name on this site. Why is the use of the word DICK more acceptable than the C word? What makes the use of DIK more acceptable? And then adding See next to it? Am I misunderstanding his frame of thought using this ID? I mean I use tweeds and ask questions. Its the would be anthropology major in my past that makes me ask these questions. That and a beer with a couple of vodka cocktails mixed in. If only I had a DOOB!!!
Tweeds
And yes, this is afterall Breaking Bad! The use of words of all sorts needs to be discussed and debated. If we don't discuss it, then what's the point? We all have to be nice with each other? And then we want to see the show being nice? This is not the Dick Van Dyke show. Where everyone is nice. This is why I really love this site. There is comedy, tragedy, and all of everything in between.
Also, lets all remember that this show is written. All of the charactars are fictional. Even though we all know people like them to some degree.
Tweeds
Tweeds, I agree with one of your points and disagree with another.
I had no problem with the content of this thread and almost responded to it, (Eve Ensler, who wrote "The Vagina Monologues" feels it's a good, strong word and that women should reclaim it and turn it into a positive). The discussion of words is a valid subject for a forum like this. But using a hot-button word like that as the TITLE of a thread just seemed kind of...not a good idea. A matter of taste, I guess.
As far as "do we all have to be nice with each other," yes, I think we should be Not necessarily "nice" as in all hearts and flowers, but respectful. We seem to keep losing posters, usually after some kind of personal attack. And I find that disturbing. No one says we all have to agree on everything, but we can disagree without insulting each other.
Dear Rockmamma, I agree but disagree with you. Where would this site be if it wasn't for folks like me asking questions? Why does it make everyone so uncumfy for a woman to ask questions and wonder. Particularly these days? Times what have you. Here, we have a show that has wonderful writers. Actors and everything withen and without. Music, Wind, fire, earth and all of the elements of our world. War, too many of them that our country can afford. Enough already I say. War wise. Word wise. Lets all get to the point. Our world needs public transportation. Our world needs to realize that cars and buying them aint gonna help, and my world is going to sit outside in my back patio with my huge tree and hope that since it did got hit from a major thunder strike, that it still lives!
Tweeds
Tweeds! *gasp!* Eek! This is a creepy thought...
Have you been CYBER-STALKING me, to find out the meaning behind my user-name?!? =(
(Plus, I reside in the South...thus the variation of the spelling.)
As far as what I'm packing...(or, not)...in my Southern Nether Regions...you are incorrect, as to my gender...but, that's OK, since I've not come to this website to "hook up" with anybody. ;)
So...sorry Hun...I'm not available! =) LOL
The Explanation, for My Recent Out-bursts:
Jamm54 can tell you all, that I NEVER used to post anything intentionally mean, to anybody. (On the occasion, Smart-Alecky, yes...but, not with any true malice.)
HOWEVER...this recent post, from Tweeds in which she attempts to provoke me...brings up the very reason, why she & another person, are the recepients of my rebukes.
I can NOT stand a BULLY, CRAP-STIRRER, or, BUTTON-PUSHER who continually belittles/degrades others!
Once, they stir up enough trouble...I get fed up & give them a taste of their own medicine, to defend my friends/fellow posters!
My beef IS'NT about the different, off-topic subjects...I don't care WHAT subjects, other people post/reply upon here...
Just as long, as it's done with the respect, to others, THEY expect to receive themselves!
When they don't...then it brings out my protective side...and, that's when I "bully the Bully."
BTW..."Wolves in sheeps' clothing", passive-aggressive retorts...are counted as Bullying, also. =(
diksee - I did not want to jump in on this, but I'm hear to tell you that you are wasting your time with Tweeds. She is a demented Liberal Lowlife. The years of Drug abuse and Liberal indoctrination have rotted her brain and f'ed it up beyond repair. I'm not above saying this, its the only way to battle with Liberals. For her (Tweeds) to post that Topic and invoke Nancy Reagan and Tampons, goes beyond Bad taste and proves what a Lowlife she is! - Tweeds and her kind are what is wrong with our Country now and it is only amplified with the Messiah running this country into the ground now...
Well, back to why using the dick or prick label/term isn't as offensive as c---t, and to tell the truth, I really don't know why. It seems like whenever someone lobs that label/term at or about a woman or women, it's usually construed as being so venomous and hateful, that it's hard to "miss" the intent and emotion being conveyed. Maybe that's just my own skewed interpretation.
But, oftentimes, when someone calls some guy a dick or a prick, it seems to come off more as a put-down of a guy as being a joke or a jerk.
Is that supposed to mean men can "take it" while women are too delicate? A bitch seems kinder than this word. But, I guess it's more about what's in our own heads or the immediate situation than any social influence. For some people, any swearing makes them reel, and for others it's part of the everyday jargon or vernacular. Some days I'm unphased, other days I recoil. But, I would guess by our reactions here, at least, it's a word that struck the same chord of "ick" and isn't acceptable to too many. I guess that's the end of our language arts lesson for the day - LOL.
Oops, have to rescind some of my previous opinion. In fiction, DH Lawrence has used the word cunt in the most beautiful way to convey admiration, desire and lust. Specifically, Lady Chatterley's Lover, and it's absolutely poetic.
Jamm...as always, you are a Gem! =)
It may be, the words "dick" & "peter" were used, to describe that body-part, when we were kids, with giggles & great guffaws!
BUT, if anyone got caught using the word "C*ck", for it...they promptly got their mouth washed out with soap!
I'm not sure why, either "C-word", are conveyed as vile...they are just words after all. =\
But, like you expressed, it might be more, the INTENTIONS behind using it.
LMAO...seeing the word "vernacular" reminded me, of something Curly said...
"Vernacular? That's a doiby." =)
R.W....my fellow "Caped Crusader"! I was wondering where you've been!
Do you have an extra cape I can borrow??? Mine is at the dry-cleaners...and, I've had to resort to using a broom to fly with...it's not nearly as fuel efficient! ;)
*cackles*
Eee-hee hee!!
A flying Weasel on a Broom, now that I've got to see. I've been monitoring things and staying ever vigilant and poised ready to slay any errant Liberal fire breathing lizards with my sharpened tongue or trusty index finger.
Now this is the way that the discussion of words should go. Lady Chatterleys Lover! Good pull Jamm. Particularely since this is a CHATTER site!
Pun and fun intended.
Tweeds
As for diksee's name, well (sorry about this diksee), I've just always heard it in my mind phonetically, and think of a dixie cup. You're probably not going to like that, but it's what immediately came to mind for me. LOL
I've been thinking about this whole word thing. There does seem to be some gender inequality in the way words are used. For example - Why is it always an insult when someone calls a guy a
"p _ _ _ y?"
I think because they're telling the guy that he's a wimp or a girl, when someone calls a guy a pussy. It's a put-down or denigration of the guy's masculinity. Fightin' words, I would guess, for the guy on the receiving end of that label or term.
Yes, jammin54, I understand how people use it. Just trying to examine what slang words for female body parts say about how women are perceived-
the "c" word conjuring up bitchniness, the "p" word implying weakness. Neither one is very flattering.
LMAO, Jamm!! Not a problem! =) It's actually supposed to mean "Dixie"...just a variation of spelling. ;)
Rockmama, as kids, we called it a "Winky-woo". =) Sometimes I still use that term, when using the word "vagina", seems too formal... LOL!
Ha ha...I can just imagine someone, shaking their fist at some guy, yelling at him, "You Winky-woo!!"
=\
Hmmmm...not very effective, huh? =)
LOL-ing over "winky-woo!" :-)
