Crystal ball time: Who catches Walt?

You can name which Season (I think there will be five seasons before it ends). You can name the character who uncovers Walt's criminality, but you have to explain how and why. No fish-heads here. I want gills, fins and a tail. Give an explanation. Write a story if you have to. They aren't charging you by the word here. I really want to know who brings Walt down, when, how and why.

Bonus question: Does Walt ever go to jail? No explanations needed for this. You can cough up a "yes", "no" or "maybe so".

Forget Hank, Gomie, AbqPD. Skylar even Jr.

Walt biggest fear should be that Jesse catches on what really happened to Jane

Jail...no
Remember when Saul noticed Walt's cough.
That's where Walt will be once again.

That's the way we do things here.in NM.. ..
a trip to the desert...yo

I put forth a scenario earlier, where Marie relapses into her Kleptomania and gets busted. While she is in the County lock up, she shares a cell with some female Tweekers. She learns this through some small talk with the Women. Hank eventually bails here out, He's none to happy about all this, but is supportive none the less. Marie tells Hank about her experience and just how nasty the Tweekers were. She then remembers that Hank is looking for a Major Meth dealer and she tries to ask Hank about it on their drive back to Casa Schrader, Hank is ignoring her though. Marie eventually has to take a Leave of absence from here Job. She seduces Hank one night and after some Hot action, gets him to tell her about the Meth dealer he is looking for, this of course fires her Imagination and with nothing but time on her hands now, she becomes a later day Nancy Drew. She connects the dots, which lead to Walt, but no one believes her, because she is stark raving mad after all. Her therapist eventually commits her to the local Sanitarium, all the while she is sobbing "its Walt", "its Walt" as she is carried off.

Answer to Bonus Question - Yes Walt does go to Jail, he goes there to bail Marie out, because Hank is on a field assignment out of town. This is an Alternate story line for the Episode listed above. This is the closest Walt will ever get to being locked up.

user-pic

You know RW, that is how they caught Charles Manson. One of the girls, I think Susan Adkins, was in jail and bragged to one of the other inmates about killing Sharon Tate.

Bonus question..Yes, Walt goes to Jail for a minor offense... a misdeamor of some sort and Saul bales him out. Hank helps him get a lesser offense because of his connections in law enforcement, but No major offense for Walt.

Still thinking on the stool pigeon who rats on Walt..I have a couple of theories..more later

Wow, crystal ball huh? OK.
Let’s start with what we know is going to happen. Via the teasers, we know that Walt and Skyler’s house did not burn down during the airline crash. So, the money is safe for now. Maybe the house was damaged though. Walt may or may not be hurt from falling debris. If he is, he may spend time in the hospital and so the money is not that safe. If he is not injured, then the money is safe. Walt’s car is smashed from the crash. So, he gets a new car. Hooray!! That old Aztek is a POS. Maybe he will get a pimp daddy ride or a sports car. There are two body bags in the driveway, but Walt, Skyler and Walt jr. cannot be in either of them. They must be bodies from the sky. Since Skyler was on the road when the crash occurred, she or Holly may be injured. If she/they are it will be minor. Walt jr. is out of frame for the crash and is OK.

Now for the future. Either from her hospital bed or her sister’s couch, Skyler begins to tell her story to and answer questions from Hank and Marie about why she left Walt. She will start at the beginning and tell about Walt’s claim of buying pot from a former student. Remember in season 1, Skyler does a reverse lookup of Jesse’s phone number and asks Walt “who is Jesse Pinkman?” Walt tells her he is buying pot from him and Skyler seems to buy the story but tells Marie. Marie tells Hank and they think Skyler is talking about Walt jr. They laugh it off when they discover their mistake and move on. But, when Skyler retells the story, she mentions Jesse’s name and Hank has one of those great moments when everything suddenly falls into place. He has the missing piece of the puzzle and the whole story comes at him at 100mph. We could see what Hank is seeing in his mind, the missing lab items from Walt’s school, Jesse’s car at the Tuco kill site, the sudden unexplainable appearance of Walt at the Badger/Heisenberg bust and Walt’s behavior change at the party over the Tequila. It would cinematic!
Armed with this new and unbelievable information, Hank begins the search for an answer. He takes a picture of Walt to show Tuco’s henchmen who are cooling their heals in jail. They ID him and tell the story of how Heisenberg blew up Tuco’s office and the junkyard meetings. They also ID Jesse. Next he locates Jesse in the Serenity rehab hospital. Because Jesse is full of himself and the psycho babble of rehab, he spills his guts. Using police interrogation techniques, and the threat of a murder charge over Jane’s death, he gets a full confession from Jesse. Now the chase is on to get the goods on Walt.

Walt, however is done. He has no more product to sell and no way to make more. His partner is in rehab and he is out of chemicals. He has enough money and now is the time to lay low. But his enemies come looking for him. Mr. Gustavo now knows Hank’s name. He could just run away and never have any contact with Walt or he could try and have Walt killed. He does not like loose ends or sloppy deals. Tuco and Sol both found Walt with little effort, Mr. Gustavo could do the same. Walt’s foes have a habit of getting killed. First, it was Krazy 8 and Emillo, then Tuco and now Jane. It will be interesting to see what happens to Mr.Gustavo. But, he is coming. His seeing Walt’s picture on the tip jar at the DEA was no accident. The writer’s have plans for him. There is also the threat from the Mexican drug cartels. They don’t like their business being trampled on. So they are out there looking for Heisenberg.

In the end, we may find out, the entire story was told in flash back from Walt’s jail cell. But I think that Gustavo and Hank will end up dead. Walt and Skyler and Walt jr. and Holly will live happily ever after. Jesse will OD after his release from rehab(most junkies do) and Walt will take the secret of his adventures to his grave.

user-pic

I like it except for the Jesse being dead part.

Who ever it is... and when they do figure it out.

They need to put in that tripping out noise like when walt was looking for news of the junkyard death and don was lost in space in front of the atc screen.

and something like when Jesse was floating over the bed...bunch of black and "whites" in the background of all the clues ...lightbulbs going off... etc.. :)

user-pic

As one theory, I have the hunch Walt, himself will trip up and give out some vital information around Hank or Walt Jr. Whether Hank or Walt Jr. knows, here are the problems with either one knowing about Heisenberg/Walt:

We know Hank is a DEA agent, but come on, Walt is his relative and I am not sure Hank will be able to turn Walt in and put him behind bars. So the dilemma arises on what Hank decides to do. What can he do???????......he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. If Hank doesn't turn Walt in and someone else in the DEA force finds out, Hank is in big trouble for not catching on about Walt and gets himself in big trouble with the force and his boss....... There is some real answers Hank is going to have to come up with to cover his a** and is implicated as obstructing justice if not turning Walt in.

Walt Jr. still has my biggest vote on figuring out his dad and he is in the same dilemma of turning in his dad or telling Hank. Now Hank and Walt Jr. both know about Walt. What are they going to do??????....this is Walt Jr.'s and Holly's father. He's going to turn his dad in so they can send him to prison for how many years and his son ratted him out?? How about Hank???..... again knowing what Walt Jr. has told him...what a dilemma, Walt Jr's dad is Heisenberg and Hank has to turn Walt in to the DEA??

Seems plausible and Vince might use something like this scenario because it sets up for loads of more complicated planning of the plots down the road for us to determine what road the next episode will turn out next. Vince has, in the past, done that, setting up the viewers and then surprising us with the less obvious plots with twists and turns we hadn't even thought of. Vince has cornered himself in Season 2, as he readily admits in one of his interviews and what he writes next is going to take some real good schematics. I say Vince's choices is the less obvious and clumsy Walt in a hurry, trips himself up somehow and gives out a clue to either Walt Jr. or Hank.

user-pic

great question, Walkercolt!!...love it and gets my mind racing for more scenarios of how it could run with possible plots.

user-pic

So Vince says some crazy sh*t is going to happen in Season 3. Okay...so I am thinking this is crazy and off the wall, but how about Walt having to run from Hank, who now knows who is Heisenberg and he comes to get Walt and Walt runs for the Mexico border and gets across. A time span of Walt having to survive in Mexico through the help of some local people, he finds the Mexican cartel and offers to make BlueSky for them for trading a home and car and spending money to live on....Lives in Mexico then. Walt Jr. goes to live with Skyler, Hank and Marie OR with Walt gone, Skyler returns home with Holly and still works for Ted and raises Walt Jr. and Holly on her own. In the mean time, Walt/Heisenberg's wanted poster is all over the state, but Walt is safe in Mexico making BlueSky.

user-pic

Hi Zia,

I don't like Jesse dying either. But, that is what happens to people who use heroin. It happened to Jane. Jesse will be especially dangerous to himself when he gets out of the center. He will want to use and he will be unable to gauge his tolerance. Also, he will be a threat to Walt. So, he will be at risk from two fronts. I just don't see him making it to the end of the show.
I predicted that Walt jr. will be unharmed, but this show is always pushing limits, so maybe he will come to harm. I hope not. But, it would be a ground breaker. For a special needs person to become involved in crime and then pay the ultimate price is a new and wonderful attitude.
To tie up the loose ends, Hank could be killed in a shoot out with Mr. Gustavo’s men. Then Mr. Gustavo would go to prison. Walt could then spin a tale of coop with Hank and the DEA. Hence the secrets and the lost days. Skyler is satisfied and Marie doesn’t know anything and the veil of law enforcement is played to Walt’s advantage. The key to getting away with anything, is not the complexity of the lie, but the simplicity of the lack of truth.

Okay, I'm not answering my own question but just to cover all bases here, let's list out all the characters who are still among the living and KNOW that Walt is cooking meth as of the finale of Season 2? (Hang on to your sombrero, amigos y amigas)

1. Jesse
2. Gus
3. Saul
4. Tio Salamacus
5. Skinny Pete
6. Badger
7. The 2 strangers at the hardware store

That's a lot of people to keep a secret. Especially something as desirable as SkyBlue.

I'll grant you the 2 strangers are a stretch but they definitely have seen Walt's face and heard his threat. Still they don't have his name, where he lives or what he's actually doing.

Tio would rather be eaten alive by fire ants than tell the police anything. However, he might find a way of tinging away a message to Tuco's cousins. Madre mio! Muerte dos gringos, muchacho! El nino y Heisenberg!!

One last question for you computer literates out there: I can't get my little picture put into my profile. It's a small .bmp file and AMC won't accept it. What am I doing wrong?

user-pic

good grief Jesse did heroin what 3-4 times..or even double it ..not quite the long term addition pattern

Jesse is still good...He won't touch smack again for love of Jane.

The Meth is what is driving him crazy.

Treatment Center = Isleta Casino and Spa ;)

Walker ... I think Tio is pretty much done with

Gus has the most to lose ;)

not sure on the pic ..maybe convert it to jpg
and try again

Well, there's one thing that everyone is forgetting in all of the scenarios, Canada! The place where everyone goes to truly escape from the law. Plus, they are a pretty cool folk up there. They have no death penalty, lots of people grow pot, cook meth, have guns and speak French and English. Lord only know's what's going on up there, and they prefer it that way. Also fewer nosy neighbors around. The border aint protected either. What better place to go to get lost and mixed in withen a community.
Tweeds

user-pic

I mentioned Canada sometime ago in another posting and no one seemed to thinkt that was a good place to run...

And...if I am correct, seems to me, from what I have read, the gun control is more strict than the U.S.

user-pic

To Tweeders1, I looked back on the old talk string about "Which character do you identify with most?" and found a reply about gun control and meat cleavers from you.

Sorry, I haven't replied until now. Also, I never talk gun control, ever. A few years ago I was reading Plato's Republic. Plato asked his students, "What is justice?" A young man jumped up and answered, "To give every man what is rightfully his." Then Plato asked him, "Would you give a crazy man his sword?" Okay, that was 2400 years ago and people are still going nuts over the same question. We cannot resolve that issue on this blog in our lifetimes.

But I will also quote Sigmund Freud: "A fear of weapons is a symptom of sexual and emotional retardation." Although I'm no fan of Siggy, I have to agree with that. If you lack the competence to responsibly handle an inanimate object made of metal and wood, how can you handle the intimate and extremely difficult complexities of human relationships. Think of all the hardship that accompanies a marriage and the rearing of children. I've done it and still doing it with the one and only wife of 29 years. I can tell you from personal experience that it's much less stressful to work on a W56 warhead than it is to keep your lives together.

Sorry for the delay and happy blogging. - Walkercolt

user-pic

Hi Walkercolt - Would that W56 Warhead fall into the classification of a "Special Weapon"? The same kind that is mounted on a hardpoint slung under the wing of Machines that fly through the Air?

user-pic

R. W. is a very wise man. It is smart not to give him more information than he needs.

user-pic

I suppose either Hank or Skyler.

While Hank isn't the brightest bulb (as shown by his time in that other state he worked in), he does have tenacity. So he just might pull something off. Probably through serendipity though.

Then we have Skyler - she knows something is up, but doesn't really know what. She seems the least likely to discover that he's a cook. But she just might spring the trap unknowingly.

BONUS QUESTION: No

If you want any more of a storyline besides this you're going to have to pay me.

All W56 warheads were dismantled by the end of June, 2006..

One warhead nearly detonated in 2005 because an unsafe amount of pressure was applied while it was being disassembled

Funny it had Walt writtien on it ;)

RW is correct in his analysis that Walts downfall is started by Marias cleptomania. Hank is forced to break bad. Hanks own economic downturn occurs when his wife is arrested and held accountable for repayment of large sums of money. The bad cop now joins forces with his brother in law after confirming his long suspected theory that Walter was Heisenburg. Together the team corners the market and intentionally misdirects the DEA's investigations to a existing unrelated Mexican cartel. Hank begins his own distribution network(never to be seen) using Skinney Pete as his front man. Walter Sr cooks unrelentlessly until his product is nationwide leading to one of the most successful North American Drug operations Jesse, still heartbroken, leaves for New Zealand, attends flight school and purchases an airplane. His comic book line Super Girl becomes New Zealands latest fad.Yo. Jesse does not reappear until Season 4 to attend Walters funeral.

user-pic

Wow,..repugnant...what a scenario!

default userpic

Now that is some creative thought repugnant.

One person was left out about knowing of at least jesse and the meth lab, The owner of the storage yard.

I think jesse will recover from his new and old addictions (heroin/meth respectively) I believe he will still condemn himself for jane's death and never touch the drugs again. Instead he will become very professional minded to keep the memory of jane alive, by publishing her work and continuing where she didnt. My main pick for the first to find out about walt is walt jr. I think he and walt will have an argument about the money and walt jr will say that he made all that money for walt and walt will get irate and tell him out of anger.

I believe gus will confront walt and possibly hold him for a while. jesse will finally step up and come to the rescue of walt for a change, together they will either kill gus and then saul out of necessity, or they will somehow lead hank to gus as being heisenberg, although i cant see any way that they will be able to pin that name on any one. It is too german sounding to be any other ethnic group and has too many scientific ties to be someone that doesnt have a scientific knowledge.

Not sure about ted and skyler, but i dont think anything with them will last very long. Jesse and Walt still have enough supplies to cook another batch, something is going to come of the next meeting with gus.
