Wow, I don’t know where to begin on season 2. After reading other blogs, am I the only one that was disappointed? I feel like somebody owes me an apology, seriously. I was hooked on season 1 the moment it aired. It was the BEST thing on TV hands down. I told EVERYONE I know to watch Breaking Bad, almost like I worked for AMC. Then I found out I could by episodes on Itunes, I purchased every single one, Breaking Bad was the only reason I bought an Ipod. Then season 2 aired, and I prepaid every episode on Itunes. I still watched new episodes every Sunday. I was leaving work early so I wouldn’t miss a second. Then you aired this garbage, I was pretty upset, I felt as if I was watching a different show. I was getting poorly written episodes I already paid for. But I stuck through it hoping that there would be at least a great season finale. Sure enough you producers, story editors and directors disappointed. I was FURIOUS. I love season one I still watch it, and just today I figured out what went wrong. J Roberts, Moira Walley-Beckett, Diane Mercer. All the episodes that they had a hand in, is the reason why I will not watch season 3. You should have Gina Scheerer do all your episodes, the ones she was in were the best two. You’re probably thinking this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about all three of those writers probably went to college and have degrees of some sort. Well it doesn’t take a genius to know what’s good and what’s not. And personally, I know I could have done a better job, my predictions where way better than what many years of school taught you. Thank you for killing my favorite show.
I couldn't dissagree with 'mixitwithapurp's evaluation of season 2 more. I found this season better than season 1 by 10 fold. Got to know some of the main characters better, and the metaphors used this season were brilliant. Can't wait for season 3.
Oh-----------and fyi, Peekaboo from season 2 was picked as one of the top 100 T.V. Shows of all time. Must have done something right.
I agree with mixitwitdapurp and have said as much on other places on these threads. Something was strangely lacking in the final episode and I can't say exactly what it was. It was like "we've been all over the place this season and now we're gonna take a bunch of story lines and and figure out silly ways to leave ya'll hanging".
I wanted to see the person Jane's father was talking to when he was getting her funeral clothes together (Jane's mother?)
I wanted to see Jane's father go berserkers when he saw his daughter dead -- it would have been much more in character for him to do that.
Do cops really treat a drug death so cavalierly, no fingerprinting the place, no questions about the broken in back door, no taking Jesse in for questioning? Good Lord, how sad if they do.
I wanted to see Skyler make that phone call to the gal she suspected Walt was having an affair with.
I wanted to hear what Hank had to say when Skyler told him she was leaving Walt.
How can Walt walk through a meth den and not have a huge attack of conscience for what he's doing? Is he that soulless?
How could Skyler be so dumb for so long?
There are entirely too many "coincidences" on this show
Because I love Hank -- here is a little item about him -- he played a thug in the Tom Cruise movie, "The Firm". He was the partner of the albino looking guy who did the Firm's dirty work. Way to launch a career, Hank! Glad you survived that crappy movie so I could fall in love with you in your role in BB :)
Dear Shanana, Do cops treat murders in a cavalier way? Well, yes to some degree. You have to consider what the cops in this country are going through. Very high rates of murder's, shootings, kidnappings and all the other what have you's in life. Also they all belong to a union. Which is a good thing. Shit, If they didn't their benefits would be cut even more than they are. I live in the midwest and have good and bad cop situations in my life. That being said, I still prefer having a cop around when I need her or him. Man O Man, I would not be a cop to save my soul these days. Most cops only get paid 35 to 50 K per year. I didn't know until today that their health and life insurance bene's are being cut to the core. Most cops are very honest. They really don't want to bust everyone for everything. They are very worried about where and who their bene's are going to. Many of them are putting in demanded overtime! Overtime being pulling over people who drive. It doesnt matter whether peeps are driving bad or not. Checkpoints is not their preffered area of employment. Also, now they have to pay for health insurance, bigtime like they never had to pay for it before. Back in the day, like last year their spouses and kids were included on their health insurance. Not anymore. They have deductibles beyond what their plans provided before. Also in states like Wisconsin, extreme right wing asshole's have challenged an open carry fire arm law that date's back to the 1800's. Its a totally stupid thang, but it turns out to be legal according to our state attorney general. In West Allis a complete jerk chose to mow his lawn with his glock on his waist. He was stopped from doing that by the Police. He sued the state, and it was brought up before the state attorney general. Well, the general, or should I say ye GENERAL! Said that was okey dokey by him. Everyone should carry guns outward and on their belts, underwear, butcrack included. Gives a whole new meaning to visible phallic weaponwry. Well, needless to say, a whole lot of people really object to that. Also gives a whole new meaning of profiling. Now, because of this inexact interpretation of this law allows every american to carry, and no cop is allowed to even look at the persons gun. Cops are not allowed to approach a person with a gun, even if this person is nuts! Now what has happened here in wisconsin, is a couple of idiots have gone into various malls that are known to have children and adults walking around. Also, said idiots guns on belts, are deliberatly challenging kids, parents and what have you to everything they consider bad. They consider themselves the New Militia! They are going to keep our country clean, whether we want them to or not. Very scary.

I'm new to all this but became a decided fan of BB as soon as I started watching the episodes in a gift from a friend... now my entire family is hooked on the show. The creator of the show has probably heard all the compliments imagineable but one thing I haven't heard said is the kind of educational service such "reality" based shows give in the lives of young adults and teenagers who are open to a blur of media influences as they make up their minds, their "selves", so to speak.
I for one thought the second series with its shocker surprises and plot twists maintained a credibility level with young adults and teenagers that is both admirable and certainly one of the most difficult challenges for the writers, actors and creator of the series.
That the characters can remain so credible in the midst of some of the most incredible plot-twists and turns is a credit to the high standard of quality of those writers actors and the creator of the show. Keep it up and good luck with getting Jesse out of the hole he's in and getting Walt back together with Skyler (or not!).
And here's a question for other bloggers... what are the chances of more Meth being cooked in Season 3?
How can I view all of the episodes of season 2?
i got hooked after watching season 1 on 3 dvds from netflix.
