on most shows they put the season dvd a month or 2 before the new season release mainly because it gives people time to buy it and rewatch it before the new season which makes it sell more thats what they did for season 1 and for most shows they do that

Season 1 came out only like 2 weeks before Season 2 started. I watched them all again and that was their intention.

More importantly we should ask, will they go back and put season one on Blu-ray and launch season 2 with a Blu-ray or DVD option?

This show is way too good to not be released on Blu-ray. There are many lesser shows being released each week on Blu-ray, yet we are stuck with just DVD for BB. Even if you don't have a Blu-ray player yet (they are cheap, and some are less than $200 now), you should still be petitioning the company to release this HD show in HD via Blu-ray. Someday you will own a Blu-ray player and an HDTV, so you'll be glad you demanded a Blu-ray release now. Please don't just say, "I don't have a Blu-ray, I don't care if it is released in Blu-Ray." Many people said they didn't have a DVD player and ignored petitions to release content on DVD instead of just VHS. Now their seasons after seasons of a show on VHS have shelf died (this happens to VHS). It is much harder to get the content released on the newer medium later on down the road when it is forgotten. But you'll still want it and wish you'd joined the fight.

Petition for all seasons including 1 and 2 and everything moving forward to be released on Blu-ray, along with DVD. Please don't think that if you ask for Blu-ray they will just do Blu-ray. It doesn't work that way. Like everything, they will do Blu-ray and DVD. The Blu-ray will be a higher price. If you don't have Blu-ray now, just buy the DVD set. Just help us out here.

I need my Breaking Bad Season 2 DVD and I want it now! I addicted to the blue meth and I need another fix now! Damn it give me my Breaking Bad 2 DVD now! You have absolutely no idea what this withdraw is doing to me. I ain't in any 5 star rehab, I need my fix now!

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry AMC...make that blasted Season 2 DVD soon and have people prepay for it. I am quite certain many will prepay for the 2nd Season...because SOME OF US CAN'T WAIT!! lol

Well kind've ... I've bought the Sealed Season 2 DVD set that was sent to the Academy members for award consideration. The Set includes the first 6 episodes of Season 2 plus 6 big color pics. I bought this on Ebay for $17.49 plus $6 for S/H. So if you want it you may want to check out Ebay ;-)

I started watching Br Ba with my daughter during season 1. We loved it. She graduated from high school in June 2008 and joined the army. She's now stationed in Germany. She has not seen any episodes from season 2. I won't talk to her about it 'cause I don't want to ruin it for her. I need a release date. She says you can't believe how crummy tv is there. She mostly watches dvds and wants to know what has happened on the show. She's stuck on 'Crazy Handful of Nothin' Let's get busy people! Release season 2. Do it for the troops.

wikipedia claims season 2 will be released on dvd in north america January 5th, 2010 but does not cite their source. I sure hope thats right! I CAN NOT wait much longer
