Actors vote yes to contract

Now, from what I am aware of according to this news is that it's safe to say that we, the fans, will get AT LEAST Season 3 & 4 of Breaking Bad
After that, the economy should be in better shape (in whatever new form it may take by then, but in better shape than it is now) and....the bad news is that BY THEN, from what I've read, the actors will be in a better position to go on strike again, which of course, will screw up the 2012 seasons accross the board
as well as films you go see at the theaters
(For instance, if I may veer off topic ever so slightly, we'll get Spider-Man 4 but Spider-Man 5 is in doubt and if they film before 2012, we should get the next Bond film on time as well. Any films you love that aren't filming before 2012 will probably be scrapped or deeply delayed)
See, from what I know...the average season of any hit series (especially a mystery/thriller/cop series that uses alot of location shooting), tends to get really expensive.
The main stars can get up to $300,000 or more an episode and the cost of feeding and moving the crew from location to location each week as well as paying the writers and directors who are dependable mounts up to millions and millions of dollars. But once the ratings start to dip, then all bets are off, no matter how much YOU the fan, love the show.
Each and every year the costs (even to start up a NEW series, such as Breaking Bad) are way up there (which I assume is the reason alot of location work on this show takes place in New Mexico-- same goes for many shows that film up in Canada Tax breaks) and the costs will continue to grow no matter what. This is the reason there has been a growth of "reality TV"-- bottom line: It's cheaper to make and still brings in the sponsor dollars.
Fear not though- Hollywood is aware there IS an audience for a good mystery thriller now and then but in the coming years they'll probably be looking for unknown talent for the first few seasons of any show. Until the show gets hot and the stars naturally will seek more money.
But then, all this is in the future.
The contract was approved so we SHOULD get two more uninteruppted seasons (although over the last couple years I kinda lost track of when the writers and director contracts wrap up)
Just thought I'd ease a few concerned minds here on the status of the future of THE most original, well written television in decades
