Originally Walter partnered up with Jesse because of the need for someone who knew how to get the drugs distributed. Well, Jesse has proven to not be able to perform his part of the bargain very well at all. In fact Jesse has shown himself to be nothing but a liability. Jesse has been marked as a person of interest by the DEA. Jesse has told Walt's secrets to others, which lead to blackmail. And now that Walt has partnered up with Saul and Gus what services does Jesse provide? From an objective point of view Jesse takes half of the profits and is nothing but a liability ... Why wouldn't Walter terminate him?
If Jesse isn't killed how is Vince G. going to justify Walt's involvement with Jesse ?
Don't get me wrong ... I have a hard time imagining the series without J.P. , I really enjoy his contribution to the chemistry of the show. BUT ... how would anyone justify keeping such a partner in crime ?
Breaking Bad is the best show on TV.. I think a lot of fans like me, want more of the action and not as much of the drama... I am sorry, but I am getting tired of Skyler complaining about everything and everyone, she is a good actress but her character is too melodramatic! And Tuco was a great addition in Season 1 and 2, can we have his cousin come back seeking revenge? or some more Cartel / Mexican Mafia types?

I was just going through some pics on IMDB and can't recall ever seeing Walter doing that. Was this a promo pic or something? Specifically picture 6 and 7. Thanks in advance.
In the AMC website video "Inside Breaking Bad: A Look Ahead" , Vince states " The further we go down this road of him being a criminal the more we naturally worry , is he going to remain sympathetic to us ?"
My question is should the writers be worried about keeping Walt "sympathetic to us" or could that worry only impact the path that the character should take ? Could Vince's concern end up softening the shows direction ? After all Walt is an interesting character involved in an interesting train wreck ... would we be able to turn away even if we became un-sympathetic ?
My hopes are that Vince continues to take the big chances and continues with the disfiguration of Walt's character !
Curious what you think about this, because I have heard a lot of people say that this person should not be on the show anymore or that person....
Somewhere like Mojave desert or Mexico??
***( compensation----a psychological mechanism by which feelings of inferiority, frustration, or failure in one field are counterbalanced by achievement in another)
Walt is addicted to making Blue Sky because he missed his "golden opportunity." He didn't pursue his ideas and theories, but Gretchen and her husband DID carry out those ideas and look at the lifestyle they acquired! Walt, years later compensates his failure by making the purest Meth called BlueSky and reveals WALT was the genius after all and in Walt's mind, it's payback to those who betrayed him. Morally correct or not, he has cured the question who was the real genius.
My answer is True.
Sometimes it kills me to think I have to wait soooooo long for the next season... Can they bump it up?
In names in the beginning of episodes there are names with symbols of elements. I'm curious - what elements have symbols:
Es (Giancarlo 'Es'posito)
Ch (Mi'Ch'ael Slovis)
What do you think will happen in season 3 episode 1??
Last we see Jessie wrapped up in a green spa robe, dissolving in self pity and depression over the loss of Jane and vegging out in Spa land. "...I deserved this"....and we know Jessie has finally realized his "comeuppance." Everything committed in the past, has spun around and hit him back twofold, waking Jessie to a realization he hadn't ever expected. Its reflection time for Jessie sorting out what is important to him and what is not.......Whether Walt is part of his life again, cooking BlueSky, or moving on to cleanse himself of the stench and inconsistent life of self destructing through drugs, violence or death. We feel his pain and anguish but the first question that comes into our minds is......what will you do for the rest of your life, Jessie????
Sipping tea at Spa Land or return to Funyuns, desert road trips spending quality time with Mr. Meth Cooking King?
Does anyone know why Charter Communications (cable company) has not updated the "on demand" feature with the last two episodes? Because of my work schedule, I go to bed early on Sundays and I usually wait until Monday to watch the show. But recently Charter Communications has not updated the show. Help anyone?
Mr. Gilligan when can we enter a contest to participate in an episode? Or at least be on the set. I would love to know if there is a contest coming up for something like this.
This series is such a hit with so many people, it certainly deserves a "fan club" of its own.
I need a rough idea of when to start looking for the new season to begin.
I'm just wondering if Walt and Skyler should be together in Season 3. Maybe it's more realistic for them to be living apart ! They would still have plenty of contact as they have two children and maybe Walt eventually comes to Skyler's rescue as she becomes more involved in the money issues at her work. This would certainly free Walt up to become more involved and to come to grips with his criminal side. It would certainly free up Walt to go deeper and deeper into the dark side ... what do people think ??
Discuss Season 2 Episode 16
When is season three scheduled to begin? Anybody know?
Pride in his Product?
To prove he is smarter than Hank?
Because Gus is his new boss?
Skylar is going to take him to the cleaners?
I no longer see a reason for him to continue. other than he digs being a "Bad" guy now.
So I canceled my total cable account with them today :-) Please help me find another way to watch!
this is too badass
What will Walt Jr. do with the Save Walter White.org donations once he finds out Walt has already paid for his surgery bill? At some point in time and possibly quite soon, Walt Jr. will attempt to apply web site donations for SaveWaltWhite.org to pay the surgery bill and find out Walt has already paid for it in cash (from a meager teacher's salary???). The question is, why didn't Walt tell Walt Jr. the bill has been paid and there was no need for the web site? This will trigger Walt Jr. to rethink that second cell phone he covered for his father to Skyler.
Submitted for EMMY Consideration
Nice long list.
I dare say we will see more than a few of these
make it to the nominee list when it comes out.

Now my take on the mid-air collision is this: KUDOS TO VINCE! Listening to ATC (shout out to the guys over at http://www.liveatc.net !) and having a strong interest in aviation made this scene a little contrived, but still powerful and hey...they got some of the details right...not all but most.

Look it up and what are YOUR thoughts?
After watching the season 1 featurettes, I became enamored with Vince Gilligan's "Bad" T-shirt (Walt's face). I challenged my sister, who is an amazing artist, to paint me a version that I could hang up on my wall. Last week, she presented me with one of the most amazing pieces of art I've ever seen.

Anyone care to share any thoughts?
P.S. This is not for sale, so don't ask.

Any word on the release date for the latest season?
Is it going to be a new school for Walt?
Is Ep. 13 a Homage to the real Walter White midair disaster ?
In the last 30 years (i.e. 1979 - 2009) how many civilian midair collision , involving two planes, do you think have occurred in the continental U.S. ? Only One ! It involved an Aeromexico commercial jet and a private Piper prop plane.
And how did this incident occur ? An inexperienced Air Traffic Controller became distracted and did not notice the Piper prop plane.
And what was the name of the distracted Traffic Controller that caused the accident ? WALTER WHITE !
i love this show but i wasn't to happy with the last episode i think they could have done better!!!
The plane crash was a fantastic use of symbolism. It was the perfect culmination of the downward spiral everyone's life was taking: crash and burn. The little stuffed animal was the perfect use to symbolize the loss of innocence. This show is FANTASTIC!
Raymond Cruz's performance as Tuco was INCREDIBLE! Vince Gillian MUST bring Tuco back! Raymond Cruz's talents are wasted on "The Closer." With his "tio," Cruz's performance was emmy material. BRING HIM BACK!!!

Isn't it about time for Walt to wise up to the hypocrasy of the "war on drugs" and join Law Enforcement Against Prohibtion (http://www.leap.cc/cms/index.php)?
Add your comments here so the show gets more coverage and Aaron Paul gets the nomination he so totally deserves.

The new TV Guide features a list of TV's top 100 episodes of all time.
Breaking Bad made the list.
98. Breaking Bad
"Peek a Boo" 4/12/09
This poignant heartbreaker hits us with the impact of an ATM falling on our heads.
IMPRESSIVE!
While being 98 out of 100 may not seem so when you see the whole list and realize they're really talking about OF ALL TIME it is pretty impressive to be BB mentioned. Who knows, with blurbs like that perhaps Aaron Paul will get a much deserved Emmy nom right along side Bryan Cranston this year.
I think Walt's mother will have to appear in at least one episode during season three. Walter's relationship with his mother is close enough that Skyler believed him when Walter pretended to visit her for four days. And Skyler's relationship with the mother must be quite strained in that she doesn't seem to appreciate having to communicate with her. After all, most mothers are going to show up if ; their son is dieing of cancer , a new grand-daughter has just joined the family , Skyler leaving Walter.... It will be unrealistic if Walt's mother doesn't appear! The visit could also give some insight in how Walter has become who he is.
So I'm wondering :
-- Who would play Walt's mother ?
-- What would she be like ?
-- What would her relationship be with Walt, Skyler, Walt Jr. ?
-- Would Heisenberg be affected by her ?

Now, from what I am aware of according to this news is that it's safe to say that we, the fans, will get AT LEAST Season 3 & 4 of Breaking Bad
I missed a couple of episodes in seasons 1 & 2. how did they ever get rid of crazy 8??
I think maybe this time around they would give us fans a treat and build the series up the way Hollywood builds up suspense with big budget films these days
Like the way they show production sketches and behind the scenes reports while they are filming and then once the film wraps they release a film clip or two and then they have a teaser trailer and trailer "A" and then trailer "B" (which shows many more scenes than the first 2 trailers) and so on....
Heres my wish list:
Season #3 brings a quandary of Breaking Bad possibly ending at Season#3 or will Vince and his cagey staff find more to continue into Season#4? Just how evil can Walt turn that darker side of his nature and what other possible character(s) in this series will take break out of their character and surprise all of us???? Is Vince able to wrap this series with a pretty scarlet sinful bow and wipe out all our predictions? Will the series go out like a thousand explosions of each character or go out like a whimper with a soft repentant ending??? "Breaking Bad" is at trial, what say you the jury of the plight of Breaking bad....Ending at Season #3 or Season #4?
Feel like me?.....disappointed and wishin' for the weekly dose of BREAKING BAD?
Talk about Episode 13, "ABQ."
Hey guys, this is a new thread I started for now where we can talk about the show since the other one is getting too long. I hope we can keep talking on this forum as long as we can!
If there was episode 14... what would we be seeing this weekend
Everyone recognizes that chemical symbols sre highlighted in the shows credits, etc - very cool, real chemistry. BUT, several shows lately have highlighted the symbol "Ch". What element is that? Chalupium? There is no chemical symbol Ch. Did they make a mistake or did I??
Hello, my name is Dave.
My wife's grandparents personally knew Leonard Fagot in New Orleans, in fact, her grandfather actually provided him and shared office space with him while all of that craziness was going on. They've been telling and retelling us the infamous story of Leonard Fagot for as long as I can remember. My wife's grandmother has been asking me for years to try to find a copy of the TV movie, and thus far I've been unsuccessful.
I've scoured the web to try to figure out a way to obtain a copy of "Deadly Relations" and you seem like my best lead.
I'm a producer at VH1, so I've been trying to find the original producers or production company who made the film, but I can't seem to locate any companies that still exist. Through IMDB, I see you were EP of the film, so I was HOPING you'd be able to possible point in a direction that would lead to me being able to obtain a copy of the film.
I know this is a long short, especially trying to connect to you here. I'm hoping someone from the Production sees this post and at the very least puts it in front of you. I imagine you don't get requests like this everyday...
If you can help me, I'd appreciate it! i know my wife's grandmother would be SO happy. (My wife's grandfather has since passed away after Katrina, due to which they both had to relocate to St. Louis..)
Well, I hope this note finds you!
Sincerely,
Dave

I always think back to the episode where Walter,Walter Jr. and Skyler where clothes shopping and some thugs were making fun of Walt Jr.....Walt left out the back door...came in through the front door of the store and was like a caged animal when he confronted the thugs...did he goe out and snort some meth to give him a tuco like high...so he would transform from the meek Walt into a more Heisenberg like character...why not just walk directly up to them and confront them....why the disapearing act??
I WAS IN A WESTERN COLLEGE, WHY HASNT HANK THOUGHT ABOUT HITTING THE COLLEGE MARKET WITH A NEW SUPER DESIGNER DRUG. THEY HAVE GOUN TO FOUR STATES THATS OVER 15 COLLEGES!
Been awhile since I have flown a plane, and it was lil' cessnas... but there seems to be some minor odditys in the planes that crashed, so I thought I start this thread.
They were on approrch ...correct?
17,000 ft. .is that right?
Little low to be going over Sandia.
Little high to be landing at Abq.
the north/south runway .. well ever time I've flown in to Abq.... except for once it's always been the east/west and coming in from the west.
any pilots out there or thought or just leave it at TV drama ;)
Will Jesse be able to forgive himself? That is a pretty important factor to how far and extreme Jesse will break bad.
Through two seasons, Jesse has continually said "I'm a good person" like a mantra to himself and anyone present. Did he truly believe that? Or was he trying to convince himself and others?
Where does it go from here?
So now that Skyler knows SOMETHING is up, the question I find most interesting right now is whether Walt tries yet another lie. If he tells the truth, as he promised, he doesn't know how Skyler will react (it won't be good, obviously, but would she be angry enough to tell Marie, who then is biologically incapable of not telling Hank)?
I'm still determined to like this show, but it is so SLOW! I think they had 9 episodes of story that they spread over 13. And I'm getting tired of all the weepy Skyler, Walt, Jesse, Girlfriend junk. I want to get some meat onto the main story of Walt becoming the South West's biggest baddest meth kingpin. At the pace they are going, it's going to take years to get this thing anywhere.
Oh and one more thing-- the intro's each week should lead to something cool; not some giant let-down of some BS plane crash. That was such a slap in the face, that I finally got off my butt to register on this thing so I could complain. For shame!
Please write better, meatier stories and get this thing up to its potential.
Hey everyone. I recently posted a review for the finale on this site I contribute to. We sort of have a small following and I am fearful most of our readers will not fully grasp what I am discussing so I'd like to share it with people who would. Feel free to leave me feedback as I am curious to know what others think.
http://www.everyview.com/2009/06/02/tv-review-breaking-bad-season-two-finale/
I felt Walts pain when he had to make a decision to watch Jane die or save him and Jesse from being blackmailed or turned in. To just have a baby girl and then to know you are watching someone elses girl die must be the most horrible thing that could happen to anyone with the exception of your own child. Bryan Cranston, you are one hell of a great actor. I am 63 and a devoted fan to the show and simply can't wait for season 3. Kudos to all of you.The finale was a mind blower.
In the season finale Walter continued to grow into his fatherly role toward Jesse. I suspect season 3 will begin with Walt continuing to redeem himself through this behavior. The symbols are everywhere. The pink sweater (Walt has become a Pink Man, as in Jesse Pinkman), Walt's new goatee that is just like the one worn by Jane's compassionate father, and the damaged Pink teddy bear (representing Jesse Pinkman) falling into Walter's life from a massive wreck. The stuffed bear is remarkably similar to the one in the mural in Jane's apartment, shown flying through space with Jane, presumably flying high on heroin. Jesse was nothing but Jane's teddy bear, a source of comfort for her, but not an object of true love, and she sent his vulnerable psyche (damaged as a result of Walt's selfish behavior) into a free fall. The bear ends up in an evidence bag, presumably as part of the crash investigation.
I am now conflicted about Walt's character...
Up to now, I've been "rooting" for him (in a perverse way) in spite of everything he's done (the drug dealing, killing hard-core drug dealers...). But when he stood there and watched Jesse's junkie girlfriend choke on her vomit, he crossed a line. And now the plane crash... I still want to believe that Walt is a decent human being. If he is, dealing with what he has done and inadvertently caused will be overwhelming and maybe a bit more than I am willing to participate in every Sunday night. Likewise, if he's just gone so far over to the dark side there's no return, the show won't have any appeal for me.
In a previous episode Walt's glasses (or at least what looked a lot like them) were pulled out of the pool by an OMI agent during the B/W sequence. Could there be more to this scene that involves Walt's usual scheming?
Also, after watching the footage of Jane's Dad communicating with the planes a couple times it seems clear that the collision was not an accident...He's staring at the screen and communicating directly with the two objects: JM021 and WAF515 moments before they collide. There's no way he could not have known. Maybe he broke bad...
One last thing: why where the OMI / NTSB agents wearing gas masks at Walt's house? Would they really be recovering wreckage all suited up like that?
Skyler has been able to overlook Ted's $1.2 million tax fraud to "save jobs and the company" and continue working for him.
Skyler thinks Walt has gotten his $100,000 by some means (robbery, stealing?) which is completely unacceptable, and rockets out the door as she kicks Walt into the ditch.
Where's the justice?
Find the White House from the ending footage of the Pink Bears trip to the pool.. it can be done.. any takers?
I'll post the lat and long later
Where can I purchase an exact replica of the Breaking Bad pink teddy bear/stuffed animal? Gotta have it!
Can anybody tell me the name of the song that plays while Walter undergoes his surgery?
Thanks to all of you for providing me with as much entertainment as the show provided. This is a wonderful forum. Even if I could have lived without the knowledge that meth can be recycled so to speak, even after one has pissed it out. BLECHH!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING!!!!!! So who has enough computer savvy to start a new forum involving different shows. Perhaps, like with a book club we could have a forum involving different shows.
I'm going to take this time to congratulate Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, RJ Mitte, and the rest of the actors and Breaking Bad staff on giving us one of the best seasons in television drama, Ever! The acting, production, writing, and directing was all phenomenal. Bryan Cranston well deserves another award. Good Luck on season 3, although I don't see how your ever going to be able to top season 2 lol. Congratulations.
The thing about the finale that gets to me is that Breaking Bad has, for the past 2 seasons, been exceptionally grounded in reality. Walt and Donald randomly meeting in a bar at the same time was a stretch, yet still somewhat possible to look past. But to suddenly throw at us a coincidence of such magnitude (being the plane crash indirectly caused by Walt just so happens to occur directly above his house) is freakishly insane to me and thus I find it very unbelievable. That unbelievability factor is, I think, a big reason why I and others are left with a sour taste in our mouths.
well this season was amazing as expected since i have nothing to look foward to now whats everyones plans over summer what are you ways of getting over the fact you have to wait like 9 months to see the next season also i think we should keep this amc talk forums active even if the season is over
"ABQ" was great. You can never read into this story what is going to happen next! These writers and actors are fantastic. The Movie could be of Jesse turning into undercover to vent his anger over the death of Jane and lead to the underworld of Saul's connections. Cannot wait to see what will happen next, no one knows.
Remember a few episodes back when they showed body bags in Walt's driveway, plus the stuffed animal? I'm guessing it isn't Skyler. But wow. Great finale, great show.
