What up to my peeps in the cheap seats!? Laz here! I just thought that I’d give you guys a couple of links to some Aaron Paul material. Maybe you’ve read it and maybe you haven’t, but when he talks about being on The Price is Right it was just too funny. Check out the stuff he says about Raymond Cruz (Tuco), too. Good stuff.
OMG! I am sweating over here watching the Negotiator and I can't wait for BB to start! Woo-hoo! It's like I'm tailgating before a football game. I can't stand it. I'm dying over here.
This show is too ill. I live in El Paso, TX border to Juarez, CH and the drug problem is horrible. Cartels even threatened to kill the mayor who now lives in El Paso.
Last week Walt pretended to be Jesse's dad, now he's pretending to be Badger's uncle, lol! I love how the show is becoming about everyone, even Badger! Layered like nachos, yo!
There is no doubt they have created the best show ever. They can't win for anything. What is up with Saul tryin to get Badger shanked. I don't know who I'm rooting for here. I'm just losing it! I loved every moment of this episode!
It was great the cop talked smack with Badger for so long, trying to prove he wasn't the law, then got him on the "technicality" that if you say you're not a cop, you can't be one. "It's in the constitution!" Badger is really stupid!!
Good episode, not the best of the series, or the season, but exciting and interesting without any Tuco or cooking action (also minimal family/character development stuff which was interesting. It's interesting to watch this show and the characters grow and change as it goes on.
Saul is as sleezy as they come "A CRIMINAL attorney" is right. It will be neat to see how he is included in the series as a whole, and what his future role will be.
Interesting how Walt didn't want to kill Badger----maybe he isn't as cold as he might appear. He still might have a spark of a normal person in there somewhere.
It was a VERY COOL twist how they got Badger "off" and had a fake Heisenberg. I don't think Hank bought it though, and I have a feeling Badger may have said enough.
Skyler-odd how she goes from complete ***** to a lot more personable in two episodes.....seems a little out of character.
I like where Jesse's relationship is going.
Next weeks episode looks like it might be almost a throwback to season 1. Walt seeing how bad things are, goes all out in the Winnebago.
I'll essentially make my prediction now (based on the preview for next week) Walt will not have much money when he dies. All these side-expenses will keep him basically at square 1 until the end. What an ironic twist of fate that would be, selling your soul for nothing.
oh......and Hank is starting to figure everything out..."Big Time!".........
He knows that dude's not Heisenberg.........
He knows he looks like Walt too......who happened to block surveillence until Badger was clued in..........he gave the look of "holy shit.......it can't be.......but is it?" there after the bust...........killer
Great ep. loved the look on Walt's face when the lawyer walked into his classroom! That lawyer is so sleasy, you can feal the bugs crawling on him, but he might end up being the business partner they need- he's got a list of potential worker bees for them,(that he can skim off of), he knows the seedy side of the business, and that's a weak link for Jesse and Walt. Loved the line about needing a CRIMINAL lawyer!!
Jesse and Jane, safer now that we know she's a recovering addict, she won't rat Jesse, it's in the code. The shtick with Badger on the bench with the wrong bald guy was hilarious ! and Walt's save was brilliant! But, is Hank starting to wonder about Walt? He does seem to show up in Hank's life at the oddest moments these days...
Walt took a hell of a chance with the "park bench-correcting" diversion. He's smart enough to make it a priority to keep his face unassociated with the situation to the police. How long can he keep banking on Hank's trust of him?
These writers are amazing. At the end of Season 0.5, I was hooked, but I couldn't think of where it could go from there. Now, I've given up trying to predict it. That's hard for writers to do.
Okay, let's take a listen... Saul mentioned two names from the Mexican cartel! Ignacio and Ilnado. I don't know where it's going, but it has to be important. The writers plan all this stuff out.
Saul had the best lines tonight.
Jesse: That deals off the table.
Saul: It was kinda low anyways.
LOL!
Saul: If this option is too expensive there is always mmph... Badger in the chow line.
Saul: What did Tom Hagen do for Vito Corleone?
Walt: I'm no Vito Corleone.
Saul: No shit, you're Fredo.
Hank was looking for a bald guy and Walt shows up at the same time. He knows something is definitely weird now. The wheels are turning. Heisenberg is too smart for this.
Aaron Paul cracked me up with his shtick in the middle of the street and his, "Wrong guy. Other bench."
By the way Jane could some over to my place anytime.
The Breaking Bad crew did it again!!! Just when it looked like Badger was actually gonna play it smart...and, I was breathing a sigh of relief...
WHAM! They pulled another great flip over on us!
This show has more twists & turns in it, than a PIG's tail! (Pun intended! =P)
there was not only Walt as a bald guy showing up, there was also Walt talking to Hank when he came by Hanks place
oh course walt didn't say he had killed someone also and went into the safe speil talk.. but you could almost feel walt wanting to saying hank... yeah i killed a drug dealer too.
Oh man, I just read the interview with Aaron Paul where he said Jesse was originally supposed to be killed off at the end of the first season! Thank God that didn't happen!
I kind of see the Hank putting the pieces together as a finale season episode .. hooks up with Skyler talks with her.. she expesses how in the heck have the bills gotten paid .. Walt comes back from a cooking run.. the light bulb has gone off in Hanks head
oh man.... this is scarin me i pray nothing to bad happens and the end of the season from the way its going it really doesnt look like walt is going to be alive much longer but the preview could throw us off and maby it wasnt correct later on or something i dunno but i pray thats its on for a third mann its getting so intense!
God, I love this show. Awesome episode. More layers added with Saul in the mix now.
Walt has definitely been learning as he is going but he got a crash course in how the drug trade works tonight when Saul got involved. Any good drug dealer knows the inherent risk involved when moving product. Street dealers get busted all the time, especially when they aren't rocket scientists like Badger.
A good criminal lawyer is always kept on retainer. Walt now realizes how deep he will have to swim in the shit to make this operation move without too many hiccups. And any good "Criminal" lawyer will always want to get more than a taste to any of his high roller clients. Thats just the way it goes.
From start to finish this episode was great. Bob Odenkirk as Saul was a nice touch. He always seems to play a great character in every TV show I have ever seen him in and he really chewed up the scenery tonight
This was not the first time that Walt seemed tempted to spill his secret to Hank, if you remember. In Season 0.5, there was a similar moment when the whole family was playing Poker. Hank said something about him not knowing a criminal if he saw one (I don't remember the exact words).
They seem to be leading up to Hank figuring it all out. The writers must want it that way, 'cuz they could have chosen to dispel Hank's search for Heisenberg permanently with this episode. His expression while looking at the phony fall guy told me that he's not buying it. These guys all write volumes with their expressions.
tpkelly-I remember that episode. Hank said to Walter "You couldn't spot a criminal if he was close enough to check you for a hernia" or something like that. Also in the first season, Walt and Hank had the conversation about substances that are legal and illegal, i.e. cigars are legal but used to not be, same with alcohol, and other drugs that are illegal today. He seemed tempted to tell him then too.
It's not always good to watch those previews. A lot of the tension in the episodes can be lost if you know too much already. I made the mistake of noticing on IMDb that the actor who played Tuco (Raymond Cruz) was only casted for four episodes. Knowing that spoiled all of the suspense of his final episode for me. Personal preference, I guess.
This really was a great comedy of errors episode! Some very insightful scenes, too. I especially liked Walt talking to Hank about being scared all the time - at least a foundation for the guiding emotion for some of Walt's life decisions and direction.
When Walt questioned Skyler about her dressy outfit for weekend work at the office, did I imagine it or did Skyler have a little smile on her face when she left the house? She's either trying to make Walt jealous or enjoying the fact that he seems to be feeling jealous. Pretty amusing, though I still think Skyler's mulling around the whole boss-affair scenerio.
Badger, well, it was kind of a relief that Walt didn't want to throw him under the bus. I knew Jesse wouldn't want to, but don't know about Walt these days. Could Badger even deal for them anymore? I wouldn't think so, but it makes you wonder how it will go if the same happens to Skinny Pete or Combo.
The dug grave for Saul really make me laugh and reminded me of Blood Simple for some reason.
Ballsy move by Walt during the park bench stool pigeon scene with Badger and Jimmy. Someone else mentioned it, but Hank's gray cells are firing. Too easy - too weird for Badger to jump to the other bench - too odd that Walt shows up.......
One thing about Walt and Jesse taking care of Badger or saving him from prison if you will, is that their actions will inspire loyalty among their guys. If their dealers know Walt and Jesse will protect them, less likelihood of betrayal.
I never watch the promo episodes, because I don't have AMC, and have to watch the show online.
Anyways, I REALLY liked this episode. It felt like it was sort of starting a plot for the third season, and I have a feeling Saul is going to have a major arc in it.
This is the best episode since "Down" (My favorites this season are Grilled, Down, Better Call Saul, and Peekaboo)
I think this episode once again proves that this show can hold it's own without the suspenseful action scenes and the creative meth cooking/dealing scenes.
Anyways, seeing Rat from The Core in a legit show was pretty cool (You have free long distance on this phone...forever...), and hopefully Jane will stay straight and keep as much clothes off for as long as possible. Her booty is killing me! I guess I better call Saul!
In the bust.....Jimmy takes the meth, stands up, puts his hands behind his head, like "I took it, bust me" ? Jimmy wasn't supposed to know he was being set-up. That's why Hank is standing there looking perplexed.
Hank could easily fit Badger's description of Heisenberg - bald, 50's.
Did Jane buy the bed? Jesse seemed pleasantly surprised.
jamm54 -- Are we sure that Skyler actually had an affair with her boss? I only recall Skyler making a vague hint that something intimate had occured between them at a party while he was drunk, but no specific details. Did I miss something?
In all, there were four Heisenberg-like men at the bust scene (counting Hank), based solely on Badger's description. After I watched it again an hour ago, I noticed how on-cue Jimmy's posturing for the police was during the bust. Perhaps Hank's ruminating moment was in response to that...we can only guess. But still, the point remains--Hank's pursuit of Heisenberg appears to be unthwarted.
Maybe someone mentioned it from last week episode 8, that they think Skyler may have an affair. NO...she's already had an affair that's why she left her old job. The "grabby hands at Xmas party" dude was drunk and not being sublte. This episode she wasn't going to work, she was going to spend some 'special time' with her new boss/old adulter.
That's the thing about this show, EVERYONE has their secrets.
Walt Jr. is Flynn....Hank has cripping panic attacks. We've all known Marie was a klepto since season one.
I don't trust Jane.
Jesse needs some kindness and love in his life, but when she flipped him that 18 months sober chip...something didn't add up. I could be wrong and she could be his angel, but....naaaah.
And Bob Odenkirk as the 'criminal' lawyer....awesome. After how heavy things were for the first 7 episodes this season it was nice to have a bit of silliness, yet it is very real. If yer gonna sling heavy you should have good (and that's a word open to interpritation) legal representation.
Now that we know there is going to be a seaon three it gives them time to give 'Skylers' story...and mark my words, she cheated on Walt, and is thinking about doing it again.
Hank is going to melt down, at some point either Walt is going to confess to him or he's going to figure it out; but! Hank won't turn him in. Or he threatens to and Jesse or one of his minions kills him. Hank is still a character in development. Marie...I don't see her getting that big a story or evolution, we'll see.
Oh oh oh! gotta love the names: the lawyer is "good" just like Jesse is "pink" and the joke about hommies wanting a Jewish lawyer....yeah, that's the shiznit. "My real last name is McGill". word.
And can anyone else agree it's nice to see Walt FINALLY not being an A-hole. I love the flow of it, the writers and actors of this show really are the tops. Love a character, hate a character then he or she does something good or bad to suprise you.
The Teddy Bear scene ends season three.
It's after Skyler has had the baby, and she may have the baby at the end of this seaon, but since they have been picked up for a third season, it could be closer to the begining of s.3.
Could be that for whatever reason Walt starts cooking at home, and with stress, the DEA closing in...Big badda Boom.
I hate to say It, but I think Walt has to die, one way or another. I just hope that Jesse finds redemption.
This is the best show on televison. I'd gladly buy a dime bag for any of the people associated with Breaking Bad.
It's great having an original show that you can't predict. I'm guessing Hank and Walt team up to pull a sting on the Mexican cartel. But you never know.
Pretty obvious that Hank isn't fooled by the bust of the "Career Inmate". Which leads me to believe that he's gonna figure it all out real soon, and have a one-on-one confrontation with Walt in private.
Walt and Jesse should cut off Badger from selling the blue meth permanently. He's a hot potato right now that the cops will be watching him day and night, waiting for him to screw up again. I still can't believe that he had his head so far up his ass that he didn't see himself being set up by the boy-cop.
I haven't read any of the other comments yet. I had big personal problems come up yesterday and wasn't able to sit down to watch the show with my wife until 1AM, and she almost refused to watch with me out of needing sleep. I begged her and said, "please, you know it is my favorite show, I'll watch your favorite show Top Model with you this week." I'm kidding about watching Top Model with her. So anyway, after a horrible day (it has nothing to do with my wonderful wife), we watched the show.
I'll start from the end of the show with my opinion.
Attorney at the end. I think he is a stereotypical opportunist attorney going for what he can get from what he realizes is a golden opportunity with the Blue Meth. He may be useful, having an criminal attorney, but at what cost? In my honest opinion, he will offer a little to Walt and Jesse in return for a lot of $$$$. He has brought up a good point to Walt though, and that is that he is not hard to find. He is right out in the open. Honestly, I wish Jesse and Walt had killed him out at the RV. But now, they are stuck in a situation where they don't know who the attorney has talked to. If they kill him now, it could come back and get them because of those he has talked to. I'm sure he has protected his ass now after almost being killed. Now he is going to pick them apart, blackmail them, and take their money. But like I said, he may be able to help them, for a price.
I think that if they killed him, Badger would not have talked. He'd be scared shitless knowing the attorney trying to make the deal to narc out where he got the blue, was killed! Talk and get out on a plea deal and get killed or go to prison. He'd take prison.
Rewinding now to the Walt-Hank pep talk. Just as I thought, the preview was taken out of context Walt gave Hank just what he needed and got him back on his feet, and it wasn't by telling him he cooks meth. He helped Hank bounce back quick. Walt is good at that.
Rewinding back to the opening. That was classic comedy. The drug bust! That was excellent. I love everything from the camera angles, the character choice of the skinny dude which I have seen in other movies and shows, and Badger. The back and forth was excellent. That was just all around done well in my opinion.
Overall, this wasn't one of the best shows of the season, but it is a good transition into the remainder of the season. It was a good show for that reason. It was acted well and cast well with that cop and the attorney.
I just hate to see this attorney blackmailing our boys. I think they should have blasted him out by the RV and buried him out in the sand. They would have saved money and a lot of grief soon to come. Nobody would have any idea it was them, as that "criminal" attorney has a lot of enemies. The cops would have looked at it that way too. Hank, "This guy had a lot of enemies, hahaha, it could be anybody."
It will be interesting to see what happens now. Now they have a horrible thorn in their side with the attorney.
I will read the other comments and watch the show again. Only five shows left for the season. It is getting interesting. I love it.
jamm54: I was under the impression that Jimmy knew about the fake bust...(silicone or saline??? LOL)
He was supposed to get $30K out of the $80K charged by Saul.
But, who was the pound of "Walts' Finest" for??? Saul? Or Jimmy, when he got out of prison?
Also, what was the deal with that blue pick-up truck that kept passing by on the street, in the opening scene?
On the paper Walt was grading, was the students' name "Mah Feight?"
"My Fate?"
At the moment, I'm having a brain-fart though...while the grade was 40(?) what comment did Walt add?
As much as I love this Saul character imbedded in the story line... lets not forget what happens to greedy/sleazy characters on this show. They always seem to get their own comeuppance. After all he was begging for his life in spanish... The cartels may have their own bone to pick with him.
Jane ... Did you get that stupid lip job that everyone doing in hollywood since the last episode? Boy I hate that blow fish look! The number one cause of drug dealers getting ID'ed or found out by Vice/DEA is ex-girlfriends. They are a cops best friend!
diksee said "But, who was the pound of "Walts' Finest" for??? Saul? Or Jimmy, when he got out of prison?"
I hate to be the master of the obvious but they needed some product for Jimmy to have in his possession when selling to Badger. If he is sitting down with Meth to change off for money with Badger, they need real product to make it look real for the cops and so the bust will go through without a hitch. That pound of Meth is now in evidence, lost from the street forever and Jimmy is off to prison and Badger should be back on the street.
Once again after watching this show on Sunday nights I find it hard to go to sleep because my mind is racing with plot possibilities and questions.
What happens to Badger now? Do Walt and Jesse let him keep selling? Or do they give him more of an administrative position.
Now that the DEA have their patsy? What happens when Walt and Jesse keep putting out the blue meth on the street. If "Fake Heisenberg" is behind bars doesn't that stop the distribution of the blue meth?
Hank is not buying the fake bust. He knows something isn't right and he is going to figure it out sooner or later. Will Walter wind up killing Hank when he gets too close?
With Saul on board now I'm sure he will have some contacts in his underworld to really get business moving along.
Walt and Jesse thought Tuco was a bitch to work with wait until Saul starts to touch things. They will definitely be getting that exponential growth they wanted but its gonna cost big time.
WHEN THEY WERE OUT IN THE DESERT SAUL SPOKE SOME PRETTY GOOD ESPAYOL THINKING OUR BOYS WERE FROM SOUTH OF THE BORDER LOOKS TO ME THAT OLD SAUL DOES KNOW WHO VITO IS OR SHOULD I SAY THE LEADER OF SOME CERTAIN CARTELL THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING GOING ON THERE IAM STILL COFUSED WITH THE REST OF THE THING WITH BADGER I KEEP RUNNING OVER IT IN MY MIND I CANNOT PUT MY FINGER ON IT BUT . I DONT KNOW IF ITS UNPLAUSABLE THE WAY IT ALL WENT DOWN BUT TO ME I DONT KNOW SOMETHING IS RUBBING ME THE WRONG WAY I DONT KNOW IF THINGS WOULD GO DOWN LIKE THAT IN REAL LIFE OR DO THINGS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO GET WHERE THE WRITERS AND DIRECTORS WANT TO LEAD US
I loved Saul Goodman! I hope he stays around for more episodes. And I loved, loved, loved the Godfather reference and the always underappreciated Tom Hagen, although I don't think Walt is Fredo. Fredo was weak and stupid, and Walter is neither. He's not Vito yet, but I think killing what's-his-face in the first season was his transformative moment a la when Michael kills the corrupt police chief guy.
Most telling line of the night: "There's more than one kind of prison." Walter feels like he's broken out of his own prison. He talked to Hank about feeling afraid for 50 years. That was his prison, and after that, a different kind of prison doesn't look so bad.
I'm in law school studying for exams, and thank you so much AMC for giving me a great example of attorney-client privilege negotiations to use to study Civil Procedure!
Hi all. Let's not forget that we need some "red shirts" in the story line for target practice. We know the cartel is on it's way and it wouldn't be a very good story if the first people they kill are Walt and Jessie right? So we can pick: Saul, Jane, Badger, etc...
One of my other predictions is that at some point Skylar will find out the real truth. And when she does, she'll go along with it (seeing no other way to pay the bills).
Possibly "Flynn" actually will get a hold on some of his dad's product (unknowingly of course), and will have a bad/life threatening reaction to it.
At some point Jessie and Walt have to turn against one another- and when they do Jessie will remind us that another characteristic of the blowfish is that even after it's dead, it can be deadly. Meaning if Jessie has to go down he can take Walt down with him.
Anyone out there wondering what is going to happen to Walter Jr.? He didnt make an appearance in last nights show, only mention was from Skylar to Walt as she was headed to work. Walter Jr's character has seen its moments. In the first season he gets busted for trying to buy beer with his friends, and then he changes his name to Fin. He obviously is a very impressionable character trying to find his own identity, and with Walt being cought up in all his lies and home life with Skylar, anyone see the possability that Walts meth practices may hit home if Walter Jr starts using his product? I think that would be great, the one thing Walt does to 'help' his family eventually leads to his son using his own product
I cannot help but keep going back to the thought that Walt and Jesse should have killed Saul and put him in his grave. He is going to screw them over big time. Yes, he may help them along the way but screw them in the end. Now he has them in a position, showing Walt he has the upper hand by showing up at the school. They really screwed up by not killing him. I'm serious. Badger would not talk after finding out his legal representation is dead. Think about your own self. Nobody wants to go to prison but if I thought it was either shut up and go get it in the you know what for 8 years (or less) in prison OR talk and get killed by a friend's (Jesse) unknown gang, I'd probably take the prison. He'd be so full of fear of being killed on the outside.
But Saul did an excellent job (which lawyers do) of making a case for himself and spinning it as he had a gun to his head. I wish they would have shot him. I actually found myself cheering them on to kill him. He will definitely make the show interesting but I think things are pretty much all downhill from here.
Now, the preview for next week makes it look like Walt has weeks to live. So he is going to step it up a notch and cook for a week straight. "Clear your social calendar Jesse."
Either Walt is going to slow down the progression or the next season and a half are going to be like a days worth of time in each episode. Three weeks to live, 21 days, 21 shows? We'll never see Skyler's affair go too far if they do what is 21 days in TV time spread out over 21 or so episodes. Alternatively, it isn't as bad as they thought and things go on for months in TV time.
I do think that they need to keep reminding the audience that Walt is dying of cancer. During the first part of this season they sort of got away from that. It was rarely talked about and he was rarely coughing. Now they are showing him coughing and getting sick a lot more, like they did all through season 1. They need to keep reminding us why he is doing what he is doing and that he has NOTHING to lose really.
Somebody asked if Jane bought the mattress for Jesse. No. She did however suggest he buy a mattress, which he then bought, and then she opened the door for the delivery guys. She explains that she let the guys in to him and then asks "King size? pillow top?" They then proceed to get down and dirty on the platic mattress cover.
Who the heck buys just a mattress anyway, with no box spring, headboard and frame. Sheesh.
I'm kind of seeing the blue ending up in Walt jr hands..or perhaps Louis , Flynn's buddy having a car wreck or something and blue being found in the car... bringing it close to home.
Yeah! Great episode as usual. I loved the part where Walt and Jesse had to swoop in to salvage the staged bust bcuz Badger was sitting on the wrong bench and the acting there where Walt/Cranston has to shift from this enormous anxiety, stress, frustration and panic to suddenly making small talk with Hank and the other cops to screen Jesse...masterfull!
The other part I would comment on was after the bust when the camera kind of lingered on Hank's face for a few moments and it looked like he wasn't thoroughly convinced they got the right guy, like his instincts are telling him something's fishy with how it all went down.
I'm not liking Jane at all. I think she is more likely to screw things up than Saul. I don't know if it's just me, but none of the female characters on the show seem that likeable. Skyler, Marie, Jane, etc.
diksee Jimmy knew he was going to be busted, and that it was part of the plan. But, he was supposed to act surprised when he's busted, like he didn't know he was under surveillance, for the benefit of the cops. Watch it again. He takes the meth bag, stands up and puts his hands up before any cop rushes in. It's a split second before anyone surrounds him. That's what's perplexing Hank - how did the guy know unless it was a set-up for the cops. I bet Hank will be watching that video again a few times.
I don't know if Skyler has had an affair with the boss or not, but she's attracted to the guy and there is some kind of chemistry/longing going on there on both sides. This may be Skyler's breaking bad - cheating, besides the smoking. Or just trying to get back at Walt for all the secrecy and disappearances. The sisters, Marie and Skyler, can both be a bit different. I agree, James26, all the women on the show (Skyler, Marie, Gretchen, Jane) do seem to have a darker side to their characters - to what degree, I don't know. How they will affect the men, well, a whole other story.
I got the impression from next week's preview that Walt's cancer is responding well to treatment and not spreading (the scene of Skyler saying to Walt that he expected bad news about his cancer). That would be quite a twist - choose to be a criminal because you're dying, and then you aren't going to die. What are you supposed to do now?
Saul's going to be a problem. He may end up being a bigger problem than the cartel. When you have the fox in the hen house, well.......
skottey: Well...D'OH! Am I ever embarrassed! That went flying over my head, higher than a giraffes ass! LOL
Thanks for answering that for me! =)
jamm54: Next time it's on, I'll pay better attention!
I was kinda fixated on the other bald guy, and, was puzzled why he did'nt jump sky-high, when that corner was suddenly swarming with police...
Geezzz, I'd be crapping my panties! Ha ha ha!
The only reason Walt and Jesse have to do some heavy duty cooking is because their barrel of whatever drug it is, is losing its potency (according to Walt in a preview). I'll be curious to see how Walt is going to get 4 days off from school and home to do it!
laz3000 my computer's not working or something. Shoot! I couldn't get the video to play. Oh well.
For Jane to be a recovering addict, and then hooking up with a dealer, doesn't bode well for her or Jesse, for that matter. Last week, someone mentioned that she seemed more interested in Jesse when the guy on the motorcycle went by screaming something at Jesse. Maybe, because Jane is still a recovering addict, that is her real motivation for gravitating to Jesse. I hope not, but it wouldn't be a total surprise. I thought it was kind and respectful of Jesse to say he wouldn't do anymore weed at the apartment. I don't know why, but I think Jane's father is in law enforcement just by the comments she made about always being caught by her dad. She may have been forced into rehab by her father if he was a cop.
Does anyone think that Badger (and Saul) are going to be under minor surveillance from now on? Hank needs to boost his image badly at the DEA, and snagging Heisenberg would do it.
Am I the only one who suspects that Saul is... Jane's dad?
Talk about a monkey wrench!
Remember last week's episode when Walt was pounding on Jesse's door? In the ensuing exchange between Jane and Walt, Jane said something to the effect that she doesn't get involved in family.
That just struck a chord with me.
Could they be estranged?
P.S. This blog is very entertaining. You guys are great - please keep posting!

Keep in mind that he is taking the MONEY back, not the Meth bag. Remember, Jimmy is supposed to be the supplier to Badger who sells on the street. Jimmy isn't buying, he is selling. Minor detail, but a few people sounded like they thought Jimmy was buying Meth from Badger. He was selling 1 pound, which is a ton, and then Badger would break it up and sell smaller street size portions.
mitchell said "Could they be estranged?" regarding the father possibly being Saul. I don't think they are estranged, if they were, why would Jane be living in her Dad's duplex. Estranged people have no contact with one another. Jane actually sounds like she is pretty close to her dad and that he is involved in her life. Could it be Saul? Sure, anything is possible.
Perhaps yall diehard fans could help me with a few stupid questions from this season
1 why did Jesse lose his cool hydraulics-installed red car after the Tuco kidnapping incident? If Hank/DEA bought Jesse's story, & released Jesse, wouldn't Jesse get his car back?
2 did Skyler accept Walt's "2nd mobile phone" excuse? If so, what was the excuse? Supposedly did Walt say he had a 2nd phone to talk discretely to Gretchen/Eliott Scwhartz about the Scwartz paying for Walt's cancer treatment costs?
I noticed that also.. the phoney Heisenburg Had his hands up in the air before the cops pulled up...odd
I don't feel that Jane's dad will be LE or Saul..maybe Saul more than LE.. they do have a number of cops already involved in the show.
What parent wouldn't want their kid to get into rehab if they had a drug problem.
I don't think the attraction to Jesse came about because of the biker guy stroking Jesse, in as much as when Jesse was honest with her about who he was.
I'm sure that if she was involved in the drug community before, she has heard enough lies to appricate him being forthright.... and he's not a bad looking guy
Sure she may have smelled the weed, but does she know about the meth. I don't think she would of hooked up with him if she knew about the meth.
The comment about pot being a stepping stone, she may just think he's a pot head and maybe just deals weed. Pretty minor offense in NM
The have some common ground, both seem to have had issues with their parents, and are/were drawers?..both are kind of alone.
Amazing ep. Listen, we all have been talking about the names chosen. White, Pinkman etc. The lawyers name is Saul Goodman. So check this out.
"It's all good man" Vince you're brilliant.
Is it Sunday Yet?? lol
laz3000: Hey thanks for the Aaron Paul interviews. Very interesting. Can't believe he was on Price is Right. Cool.
I agree that the Jimmy guy put his hands up awfully fast but you also have to consider it would take at least a few seconds for the undercover vans to drive the 50-100 ft and he would have seen it coming. Especially a career criminal. I mean, I have seen people in real life getting arrested that don't realize what is going on until they are handcuffed and being lead to the car. It just doesn't hit them that they are being arrested. But a career criminal knows the routine. Hands up, busted, he sees them coming. He knows. I don't think the cops would find it all that odd that he put his hands up as soon as he did, although I thought that immediately too. Also, keep in mind that there is that element of society (aside from the huge payment) that gets out of prison and commits a crime just to get back in. They like it in there and feel more at home because that is all they know. At least Jimmy is going to have one hell of a commissary account for cigarettes and candy for the next several years.
nomamesbuey I guess Jesse could have retrieved his car unless the DEA was holding it as evidence after the shootout and running forensics on it. It was pretty shot up, and I think Jesse realized it was time to go lowkey after coming up on the DEA's radar via Hank looking for Walt and the shootout. Besides, you really don't want to drive around town with The Cap'n license plates after you've been remotely/inadvertently tied to a big drug supplier, who's now dead.
I don't know if the whole suspicion Skyler had about Walt's second cell phone was satisfied or not. Not real clear to me, at least. Only that he's hiding it in the ceiling in his classroom now, and obviously doesn't bring it home into the house, I guess.
skottey Thanks for setting that straight about Jimmy. I did keep getting it mixed up and thought of him as the buyer, not the supplier.

but recall the Ep where Jesse was dead broke, with nowhere to stay, & got the blue port-a-potty shyt on him. Wouldn't he at least tried to sell the cool hydraulics red car, even if at a huge loss, to get $5K or some shyt when he was dead broke? Perhaps even sell it out of town if need be to keep it more discreet?
Now after Walt gave him a few Ks after Jesse damn near choked Walt in the RV, then I can see Jesse not bother with reclaiming the hydraulics red car.
There have been some people writing about how the lawyer might be a problem for the "gang". If you find yourself rooting for Walt and Jessie, as I have, I think you should be excited by this guy. I was. A lawyer this willing to go to extreme lengths to "represent" his clients like this has to be a good thing. Of course Goodman's gonna take a skim. Maybe if someone could tell me why they think Saul is going to be really bad for the boys---I would appreciate the debate.
In the episode where Jesse had lost everything (home, car, $$, motorcycle), I think his lowrider was still in the possession of the DEA and still at the scene of the shootout. I don't think much was time had passed between the shootout, Jesse's homelessness or finally going to the RV for refuge. It depends on the amount of time between the shootout, and the rest of those factors. If it was very soon after the shootout (a few days), I think the DEA still had his car, and he wouldn't have been able to get to it anyway.
It's always tough to gauge how much time has passed on Breaking Bad in the episodes (unless they do something to specifically clarify time passage). So, I can't really give an unequivocal answer about Jesse's lowrider; that was my educated guess.
I simply think Saul is smarter than Walt and Jesse, hence his little skim could turn out to be a major bleed on their profits. Regardless, he's going to be another exciting variable to the whole mess. The Heisenberg Principle goes on - unpredictable chaos prevails.
Badger is done as a dealer, too much heat from the cops/DEA. Hopefully Saul can arrange for Badger to get some halfway dece non-illegal job somewhere that does not appear connected to Walt/jesse/Saul to keep Badger loyal, silent, & out of the meth biz.
If think in the next meth batch, Walt will change the color & maybe the chemical mix, so that the DEA lab (when the inevitably find a sample) will be convinced that "this is from a new guy, not Heisenberg, Heisenberg is in prison now".
Or maybe Walt will keep the color blue, but do some small change to the chemical mix, & have the DEA lab thinking "some new cook guy reverse-engineered (ala how Micro$oft did for DOS) Heisenberg's meth recipe"
WALT TOLD SKYLER THERE WAS NO SECOND PHONE IT WAS ONLY HIS ALARM GOING OFF TO TELL HIM HE NEEDED TO TAKE HIS MEDS SHE LOOKED KINDA WEIRD AT HIM AND THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS SAID
street-level dealing is way too dangerous, as the Badger arrest shows.
The better revenue model, that plays to Walt's strengths (great chemist), would be to be to manufacture large batches ala Walt's biz arrangement with Tuco. But they need to supply several sources in different major cities. Perhaps LA, Phoenix, Denver, San Diego. Perhaps even better not to sell to distributors who sell in Albuquerque, in order to confuse DEA.
By selling to dealers in diff cities, if 1 focks you over on payment or whatever, it sucks, but you're still getting $ from the other cities.
Walt would needs 2 distinct "strongman", "enforcer", like 6'6 300 lb brolic mofos. The 1st enforcer is "internal" who can attempt to protect against the distributors, & internal gang guys like Saul, Badger, etc. Jesse has an enforcer rep from the ATM incident, but he's not a real enforcer, that rep won't last. The 2nd enforcer is an unknown outside consultant, that is brought in to protect against the 1st enforcer if he tries to cross/extort Walt.
Saul might could be very helpful in making these introductions.
The distributor model could certaintly lead to "exponential growth". Make $1-2 M quickly, learn from Saul how to launder the money in the Caribbean or whatever & quit the meth game. Of course, this might make for a boring show, compared to the current show's Walt "revenue model" :(
However, all what I just wrote is bullshyt if the Mexican Cartel via US street gangs basically has a monopoly on the meth market in the SW US. If so, distributor model won't work, because the different distributor report to guys who eventually report to the same Juarez don, who will eventually "Tuco" Walt, kidnap/extort/force to cook with gun to Walt's head.
What up peeps?! In response to nomamesbuey post. Don't read this if you don't like spoiler alerts!
Saul is going to help launder the money at 25% and then take 17% as his fee. Overall that means that even though he is milking them he is providing a necessary service that is needed. He is already involved in the drug arena as we witnessed about his statements in Spanish and is familiar with how this all works already. He really does want to turn Walt into Vito Corleone, which is a good thing for our boys. It might keep Hank at bay long enough for Walt to make his $737,000. Also, Saul will be keeping them out of trouble. I know Jesse shielded Badger, but I really doubt he'll do it for anyone else. Badger and him are better friends than the rest. Next time I doubt Walt will want to give up 80 G's for someone who is careless. No way. Walt is down to 9 grand. What's that going to do for his family? Nothing!
We need Saul Goodman... even if his name is deceptive.
Wow! Jane looked really super sexy in the preview for this week.
I doubt Skyler ever had a sexual affair with her boss. However, Skyler is dressing sexy & flirting with her boss, to "calenta huevo" the boss, e.g. warm the boss' balls, without actually doing anything. Skyler is keeping the boss as a "dick in glass box, break under emergency" option for financial support for herself & Flynn, she can turn to if Walt dies of his cancer within 2 yrs.
In this respect Walt & Skyler are practicing the ancient gender roles. Walt feels that as a man, he has to get that $ for his fam, no matter what, & obviously is taking drastic action to do so. Walt also feels as a man, he can't just take the $ from the Schwartz who cheated on him by using Walt's innovations/intellectual property for the Schwartz' company. Perhaps also Gretchen sexually cheated on Walt with Eliott when Gretchen & Walt were gf/bf way back in the day. So, Walt cannot stomach the "dishonorable" idea of taking $ from the Schwartz.
OTOH Skyler is doing ancient woman gender role, of trying to attract rich/powerful man that she is sexy & a good mom/stepmon. Since her boss' biz is successful, + he inherited it from the recently dead dad, the boss' net worth is at least prolly $1M, enough to provide for Skyler & Flynn's & new baby's lifetime costs. Skyler basically will be able to "break the glass" if Walt dies & she needs the $.
Does anyone remember why Walt made his meth blue? I can't remember or thought it was just an accident in one of his batches. Is he now continually doing that on purpose as his signature? I got the impression Walt thought that was kind of stupid (i.e. Jesse's added chili powder ingredient).
In the past few yrs, I have thought that narcotics prohibition causes more deaths from the SALE of narcotics, than from narcotics junkie's ODing on narcotics. I think that the Netherlands/Portugal decriminalization-type policy leads to less overall total deaths (from Sales + OD combined). Actually, from a Glenn Greenwald blog post I read, NED & POR have a lower per capita addict rate than the US, & a reduced addict rate than what they had previously had before they decriminalized.
I wonder if Gilligan & the writers, agree with this meme? They possibly do, & are trying to subtly adovocate the meme with the show, considering:
SALE deaths: 7
3 Tuco + his 2 workers
2 Mexican dealer/snitch whose head was on turtle, + the 1 DEA guy who died when the turtle exploded
2 Crazy 8 + Crazy 8's cousin
Addict OD death: 1
1 Spooge in the ATM incident. If Spooge's wife & Spooge weren't meth addicts, arguably the ATM machine would never be at their house, & Spooge's wife would've never killed Spooge with the ATM
remember when Walt and Jesse started making meth with the P2P it changed the chemical composition of the meth. Without the Pseudo Ephedrine, the meth was blue of its own accord there was no food coloring or anything added for Walts meth to stick out.
Remember when Tuco took that first hit and said.
"Whoa, blue, green, pink, whatever color you want to make it just as long as it kicks like this!" ( or something to that effect)
I would think they would have to add something now to change the coloring of it to throw the DEA off their trail now that Fake Heisenburg is in jail
I forgot that Spooge merked the Native American gas station worker to rob the ATM. With the decriminalization, the price would be much lower, & Spooge prolly wouldn't have robbed the ATM.
I can see them expanding out to other large cities certainly if Saul can help... Like Phoenix or Dallas. After all it's not like meth is only in Abq.
Certianly they could do a hour ride on SouthWest airlines
^skank aka Spooge's wife is junkie, as is Jessie's whore gf. But they did not die via OD. Even if they do eventually, the score would still be 8-3. OD deaths will never catch up with Sale-related deaths, whether on Breaking Bad or in Real Life.
^to clarify, Jesse's literally whore gf from the hotel scene that was the excuse Jesse had for the DEA after the Tuco kidnapping incident. I was not referring to Jesse's new gf/landlord/next door neighbor
to answer someone who posted earlier at the end walt wrote " 40 not even close (circled)". i liked how the writers subtlely put that in there to signify that that's probably how much money walt has & he's nowhere near 737. connecting us to the 1st episode & to why he cooks.
i'm with everyone here who doesn't like saul. he's a shister and he's gonna be a big problem in the future for walt because he'll continually bleed his funds.
badger was killing me. the whole time he was having that conversation w/dj qualls i was thinking if you have to ask so many questions don't sell him anything.
also since heisenberg is supposed to be locked up what will walt call himself now? i suggest a latino name so he can blend in better & he needs to keep his face out the scene as much as possible.
A scumbag attorney like Saul will milk the boys for as much money as he can and then stab them in the back. A crooked knife can and will cut either way. If the cartel for example, gave him more $$$ than Walt can give him, say goodbye to Walt. Also, if this guy found himself in hot water with the law, as in something he couldn't wiggle his way out of, I can see him bringing them down with him. I just have a feeling he is going to be bad news. It can go either way, but I'd rather not have Saul involved.
Excellent thought process on Walt changing the color for the next batch. You are thinking like Walt now. What you are saying makes so much sense that I will be totally surprised if he doesn't change the color. Good call. If he could get it white that would be best but it will probably be pink or something.
I agree with you, skottey! I think Saul could end up being a bigger squealer than Badger ever could, given the circumstances (probably even more dangerous than any situation Badger could find himself in). Saul will save his own skin, client privilege or not. In that instance, it might be time for Walt and Jesse to buck up and start pulling the trigger, and quick.
Have you ever noticed how Walt usually wears something green? Maybe it'll be green. ha ha!
And, seems like just about everything to do with Jesse is red.
Speaking of red...what was the deal with the red car (in the background) that was stopped in the wrong lane, with it's hood up, during the stake-out?
There was a white car, that tried to turn down the street, but could'nt 'cuz of it... so was it just during the filming, to keep the street clear?
nomamesbuey said "With the decriminalization, the price would be much lower"
I used to be in favor of the legalization of marijuana and taxation, until I recently saw what they did with the tobacco taxes (I don't smoke ciggs, but I pay attention) and of course alcohol. I always thought it would lead to safer, non-laced pot, regulated by the government, but I realize now that they would tax the hell out of it. If I were a pot smoker (hypothetically speaking) I would know that I pay about $80 for a half ounce. Can you imagine the taxes on that if they legalized it? My god, that $80 of today would be over $100! I don't want to start a political debate on here but since our current president took office I have really lost a lot of faith in this country (as I expected I would during the election season). I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal on views of drug laws, but I no longer feel they should legalize pot for the simple fact that I feel they would seriously tax the hell out of us. (hypothetically) I'll take my chances with loose drug laws and risk getting caught with a small amount that I (hypothetically) use alone. Legalization means taxation. It is a shame our country has come to this. What isn't taxed anymore?
Just thought of something: I wonder if Saul could get pinched for possesion of money that Jesse took from the ATM, since it looks like most of it will seem to end up in that bastard's wallet, and I'm sure the cops know that Spooge was "a former client" of his. Just an idea! Any comments?
Walt seemed to be quite the prefectionist when they had the scenes of him and Jesse cooking.
He may not be able to change the color without compromising the purity and DEA has no idea how much was already cooked up , for all they know all of that barrel was made already and out to other hands. The fake Heisy ain't going to say nothing to no cops.. he knows better.
Atm money even if it was serialized judging from the stack of money they had with the counter it would of been a small percentage and a little here and a little , it would of been spread out in no time
Well from what I could see Jesse did a lot of cooking this episode and it wasn't with Walter either... From the looks on Hanks face I don't believe that he was very convinced that the one arrested was Heisenberg. I love that Vince is bringing in actors that are well known on the screen to Breaking Bad. It not only gives the show an added enjoyment seeing some of my favorite actors on the show, but it shows that its also a hit with the stars as it is with the general public. "Breaking Bad ROCK's the Nation..."
I agree that Walt Jr. is probably going to eventually be using Walt Sr.'s product, if he isn't already; but in a way I hope it isn't true. It's very cliche, very obvious, and one thing that consistently impresses me about Breaking Bad is its writers instincts in terms of going against expectations. Most of the prior things I "foresaw" and felt would be obvious twists in the show's development, have not played out as I expected, and I admire that.
I'm a trifle uncertain of the last two episodes' veer towards outright "wacky" territory, with the bizarre music video, the satircal TV commercials, etc. I guess it's cool ... I just urge continued caution on the writers' part. On the upside they've got so many great things going at once; on the downside, as such, it becomes increasingly easy for them to miscalculate and fumble the ball. I thought last week's handling of Hank in his new office was a minor but tangible example; it was overplayed. I get it, he's the awkward one here in the new office, you don't need to make it too sitcomish.
But again ... quibbling here, mostly. BB is operating at a pretty high level of quality overall.
I agree it's nice to see Walt not being an a-hole for at least an episode. I love watching him Break Bad, but some balance is necessary. One thing Walt has never sold out on is a strong loyalty; even as he's at times been a huge a-hole to Jesse, he has been committed to him as a loyal partner. (Think his plea to Tuco in S2E02: "I *need* him, Tuco! He's my *partner!*") I like that that means something to Walt. In the end it may be one of his few remaining "redeeming" qualities, but it's an important one, especially given the entirely self-conscious way he's constructing his own probably doomed path.
NOTE: I don't know why I say this, but I feel there is the potential for something to develop between Walt and Marie. I don't mean romantically or sexually, that'd probably be too much, but in some weird way, I enjoy when those two character seem to be strangely on each other's side. I just feel there's something there to work with, though I couldn't say exactly what.
I notice Walt Jr. hasn't been around much; I hope we do see more of him. He's an interesting character with very little screen time so far this season. But again, I hope they don't go the "obvious" route with him, although I feel they will, and in fairness, I'm not exactly sure what else they'd do with him, quite.
I think Walt IS jealous of Skylar and I think he will catch her cheating or find out about something like that, and that the new "bad" Walt will take revenge and lock his woman down. Interestingly, maybe, just maybe, Skylar will even be turned on by that, i.e. her favorable reaction to Walt's new "naughty" side in Season 1.
And Jane = hot. And you can't help but be really pleased for Jesse scoring with her; it says a lot about how well they've sold the audience on his character. We really like Jesse at this point.
Okay, that's enough ranting for this week, keep up the good work AMC.
I have to keep reminding myself that BB was billed as a dark comedy from the get go. There have been many episodes with little to laugh or even smile at.
Last night Mr. Comedy showed up and kicked the freakin' door in. From the opening silly exchange between Badger and the kid cop to the final "Better call Saul!", there was more comedy than in any previous episode. The staged arrest scene was almost 3 Stooges like. I half way expected Walt to reach over and poke Hank in the eyes before he drove away.
All this talk about having to change the color of the product since Heisenburg is supposedly in custody. Was it ever cast in stone that Heisenburg was the cook? IMO, Heisenburg was the head of the distribution ring and it's entirely plausible that another ring could spring up around the blue meth.
I liked the way Jane was so anxious to try out Jesse's new mattress. Our friend Jesse must be packin' some heat. ;-)
i think Walt is bs-ing about the methylamine going bad......i think he was saying that, so he wouldn't have to tell Jesse the results of the catscan or whatever..............
and he isnt gonna die in a few weeks either haha.......season 3 is in the works :D
Hank is catching the whiff of Walt's little side-job, but he's not sure yet...
Letting Jimmy take the fall gives him time to figure out if Heisenberg is Walt.
If Hank figures out that Walt is behind the blue meth, Hank has the option to let Jimmy take the fall and not have to turn in his brother-in-law.
The reason for the 4-day cook is that Walt knows that with Jimmy busted, their window for distributing the blue meth is narrow. It would be conceivable to the DEA that there was blue meth cooked and warehoused before Jimmy got busted, but it must look to the DEA that was only a limited quantity.
Jimmy won't talk because he knows what potential he has when he gets out. Saul has already told Jimmy about how Jessie will need partners when Walt is gone.
Jimmy and Saul are the only other two who know the truth about the ATM killing, so they got enough to blackmail Jessie for the rest of his life.
Jessie and Walk are now neck deep in %hit now that the scumbag lawyer is involved. Brilliant move by BB's writers.
Thanx for the MSN link for the next show's preview - the line about leaving Walt's family a used Subaru made me laugh out loud at my work desk.
James26! What's the prob with Jane, man? She is smokin hot, dude. Have you seen the preview for this coming Sunday? There is no doubt left in my mind. She is hot. She might cause trouble, but what woman doesn't? Just kidding, ladies... Anyways, every time I read your posts you look like you're on a I HATE JANE campaign. Do you want Jesse for yourself or something? I'm just asking. LOL
Jane isn't the main focus of the show, but she is definitely good for our man Jesse. She's better than Wendy that's for sure. I wonder what ever happened to the neighbor at his boy Emilio's house from the first episode. She was waaay hot, too. Probably thought she was bad luck. Almost got busted and fell off her roof. I might not go back either.
Saul did bring a little sunshine to the gloom and doom that resonates through the show. I think we all know people like that in our life. No matter how bad of a mood we are in they still talk like everything is roses no matter their situation. That's Saul. He would shank his own mother if kept him out of trouble. I mean the guy tried to take their 10 grand when they had on his knees about to shoot him.
I liked the comedy relief. I just hope it doesn't become like a sitcom. Can you believe how Cranston can be so dramatic and so funny in the same episode? Scary Good Stuff.
That was BOMB when Walt blocked the surveilence......."something goin' down?..." holy s*it i about died when he said that hahahahaha..........come on Hank, how many clues do you need? when he's missing you end up at Pinkmans moms house.....Jesse shows back up same time Walt does.....just happened to be the day or so after u killed Tuco who had been shot and was @ Jesse's car......thermite.....methylamine......stuff stolen from chem lab way back........bald......50..........and guess who incidently happened to appear in the middle of the big Heisenberg bust................i bet the sh*t hits the fan the last 2 episodes of the season..........which are just a couple episodes away..............and like this season, season 3 will start with absolute insanity! I read an int. with Aaron(Jesse) somewhere and he said the last 3 episodes of this season are gonna blow our minds! WE BETTER CALL SAUL!!!!!
laz3000-No, I don't want Jesse for myself. I'm a straight guy. I don't think Jane is that hot to be honest with you. She just looks like another addict slut, not quite as bad as Windy Wendy though. I just find Jane annoying, I don't know what it is exactly. And I mean, come on, she sleeps with Jesse right away? She barely knew him, didn't have any kind of romantic relationship with him before, he was just her tenant. And then he invites her inside to see his new tv, and she just bangs him then? What kind of slut is that? She blew any chance of me ever liking her right then and there. The whole thing just seems way too forced and contrived to me. It's like the writers were thinking "Okay, we have to give Jesse a girlfriend". What for? He was perfectly likeable without one. Jane is gonna take up too much of his time now, and he's probably gonna screw Walt over somehow because of it. I think the show would have been just fine without her. That's definitely my least favorite aspect of the show right now.
I agree with what you said about Cranston being so funny and so dramatic in the same episode. I was watching a rerun of Malcolm in the Middle on FX today, and he's amazing. I think he may be the best actor in television history. I know that's a bold statement, but I've never seen anyone who can do comedy AND drama so perfectly!
I think all the women on the show are pretty annoying. I'm glad Skyler has something occupying her mind now (new boss) and she does look better dolling herself up than she does bitching at Walt. She is a pretty middle-something woman, just annoying until she got a job.
Marie is annoying as hell.
Jane isn't anything special looks wise, at least not by TV standards. Some people act as if she is the best thing they have laid their eyes on. Sure, most guys would take a double take if they saw her shopping for groceries and showing off some of her body, but as far as TV babes go, she is nothing more than a 5/10. I watch more attractive (looks, personality, the whole package) women on Fox News all day long (Martha Maccallum, Domenica Davis, Megyn Kelly), not to mention shows specifically aimed at displaying good looking women to build an audience. But I am glad Jane isn't really hot. It might take from the show more than it already does. I don't watch BB for the eye candy. I watch it because it is an excellent story and acting. There are plenty of shows with eye candy that serve no point with much better looking women. So I agree with you there. Jane is pretty plain jane, so she is serving the purpose if they wanted to give Jesse a girlfriend without overdoing it. Like I said, it is distracting some guys. You said you cannot place what is annoying about her look. I think it is that bad haircut and dye job. That spells phony to an extent.
Don't let it bother you that some people think you are crazy for not thinking she is hot. She isn't my type either and certainly nothing special as far as TV is concerned.
It is the guys that make this show, in a non-sexual way. The acting is what makes it and the story. Walt, Jesse, Hank, even Badger, they are all likable. I can find something to like about each of them and it is just the opposite with the female characters. I can find something to dislike about all the women.
We men think with our lower head by default. If a casting crew wants a guy to really get into the story and not think with their lower head, they need to cast with non-likable women that aren't ultra attractive. I think they have pulled it off with Jane. She is nothing special, yet a bit too good for Jesse and something special for him. She was cast well.
Skottey, thanks for your intelligent response to me, instead of others who just say stupid things like "Sounds like someone ain't getting any"! I totally agree, I don't watch BB for eye candy either. There are other shows I watch that have hotter women on them, and I don't mind at all. I even like watching the shows just for them, but I've never been as addicted to a show as much as I am with BB, so that's why I'm so nitpicky about every detail. I think the show works best when the guys are at the forefront, and the women, like Skyler and Marie, are kept to a minimum. Wow, that sounds really sexist, doesn't it? LOL! I do like Skyler and Marie in small doses, because they definitely add something to the story. I just don't like Jane at all though, right from her very first scene a few weeks ago. Maybe I'm just afraid that she'll ruin Jesse, who has quickly become my favorite character after the "Peekaboo" episode. Quick side note, I never watch Fox News (or Faux News as I call it, lol!).
After watching my second viewing of this weeks show, I have come to think that Hank was giving that look after the bust not because he wasn't buying that Jimmy was the right guy, but more so that they busted the right guy and that the skinny local police guy was on the phone taking credit for it. All that hard work with an ego to feed as a DEA agent busting drug dealers, and the local cups catch the big fish after catching a small time dealer (Badger). It is more of a shot at his ego than skepticism, in my opinion.
Also, Jimmy clearly gets up with his hands in the air AFTER the sirens are heard. Yes, it was quick, but it is coming from both directions, so even if he wasn't part of a setup, a career criminal like himself would know he was busted. Just re-watch and you'll see.

Well, it was'nt near as annoying as your constant, "Jane's a whore!" comments...
It was like Charlie Browns' teacher after a while, "WAH WA WHA WHA WAH."
Sheesh! We got that you did'nt care for her the FIRST time you said it. =\
LOL LOL LOL!
Early on, at the Police Station, does'nt Saul call Badger "Sneaky Pete??"
Was kinda wondering, if when he thought Badger was arrested for Public Masterbation... maybe Sneaky Pete was the one who was really arrested for that charge, and no one else knows just yet?
Is'nt the show on again tonight, around 1:00am? raculfright_13 did you tape it, or something? Or, did it air again this afternoon?
OK, that jogs my memory now!! Thanks for clearing that up!
Lucky you! I'm living in BFE, and it sure does mess up downloading...dial-up ya know...
It sucks! =( (And, NOT in the good way! hah!)

Oops, sorry zia...did'nt mean to make it sound like, I thought your comment was annoying, 'cuz it made me giggle! ;)
No problem... it was meant as a joke.. too bad the mature?? response was name calling... guess that net for ya
It is 2009, most of us DVR the show. I'm sure few tape it or something. I have 4 DVRs (2 DirecTV and 2 FIOS, 1 of each in my bedroom and 1 of each in my living room) and I record it on two of them each week (one from each provider). The wife and I watch the DirecTV recording at 11PM EST, immediately following the recording and FF through the commercials (I only watch news and sports live on commercial television). I work from home a lot so I then watch a second viewing by myself some time during the week in my living room/office on FIOS. If one provider were to go out or something went drastically wrong, I'm covered. I won't be missing my Breaking Bad unless AMC itself has a major meltdown.
I know you weren't directing your question at me but I thought I'd answer since you were implying that somebody might be taping the show. I don't know anybody that uses a VCR like that anymore but I'm sure some people probably do. How archaic. I know, I know, I am such a snub ass, looking down at VCR utilizers. hahaha.
I actually still use a VCR (time lapse) for a few of my security cameras. It is grainy but effective during playback. I just couldn't see myself watching a VHS recording or even store bought commercial VHS tape these days. The quality is so last century.
Whoa fellas! LOL I just wanted to rewind time and get back to my thoughts on Jane... I'm glad we got your feelings on her out in the open... ha! I doubt you guys listen to much rap, but Tupac said, "I don't want it if it's that easy." Well, I don't know if I agree with that remark. You do James26. I mean this is TV. Jesse was crying as he had blue toilet crap all over him and he was bangin Wendy in a cheap hotel room. This is a big step up, my friend. Is Jane as beautiful as Charlize Theron? No, but she is the Jane next door... as the name implies, duh! Come on! You should know what the writers had in my mind when they introduced her. I've had "girlfriends" like that before. It doesn't last long, but you wind up being a crutch for the other person until you can stand on your own two. She might even be a partner in crime. I'm thinking about the names... Jesse James... Jesse & Jane...
Have you ever had a friend whose girlfriend you hated? You put up with her because of your friend. Same thing here. She isn't here for the long haul. She'll be out of the picture sooner or later. Don't ya think?
I like Jane, myself, but beauty and attraction are in the eye of the beholder. To each his own, but I wouldn't like it if there weren't some femmes in the picture, just for balance and a different emotional POV, a bit of tension.
Hey, those wimmin' have to give the guys a hard time once-in-a-while. It can't all be shootouts, drugs, and beatings. Something has to be reserved for the bedroom....
As for Jane's Slut-O-Meter rating, heck, I'd only give her a 1. Big deal that she slept with Jesse on a no-date. Now, if she'd tied him up or showed up in a dominatrix outfit for some tv viewing, well then I would be shocked.....LOL
Whoa...WHAT?!? It IS? =O LMAO!!
Gotta go tell my kin-folk about DVR's!
We ain't seen THIS much excitement, since Granny got her tit, caught in the wringer! ;)
Hee hee!
My apologies, for using the wrong term...oopsie! Thanks for pointing that out, though! =)
1) Jane is going to get Jesse straight. That is her role. Jesse will do anything for her.
2) The Dr. preview, tells us their will be no end coming up where Walt will be in remission. But, I think the urge to crank out Meth may have more to do with Saul having a connection wanting a large quantity.
3) Hank knows something is not entirely right. But, I do not think he is connecting with Walt yet.
4) Saul- he will siphon more money off the top but help the organization make cash.
The two bust scenes were hilarious. Badger knew it was a cop but then got talked out of it.
The second one, the mistaken identity was funny. I was hoping the guy would be busted. But, then the bust was funny because the fake Heisenberg did not even wait for the siren's. He handed the meth and then got in position for the bust.
bakersdozen said - "then the bust was funny because the fake Heisenberg did not even wait for the siren's. He handed the meth and then got in position for the bust."
I have to disagree. Re-watch it by means of DVR, tape, download, or however you can. I thought he got up quick too but if you re-watch you will see that not only did the sirens start before Jimmy got up, but they came from both directions. Let's pretend he wasn't being paid to do this and knowing he would be arrested and just take him as a career criminal. A career criminal knows when they do something criminal and they hear the sirens coming from both directions, they are busted. Call it instinct. We all think he got up quick because we are not career criminals. I mentioned in another post that I have literally seen people getting arrested that didn't even realize what was going on until they are cuffed and in the car. These are average Joe guys and not accustomed to being arrested. It is emotional trauma being arrested. You don't want to believe it is happening to you. But a career criminal that has been in and out of prison knows the drill. This guy has been in and out of prison for decades. It shouldn't surprise the cops that he jumped up so fast after the sirens were heard from either side of him. Admittedly, he was up with his hands in the air before the vans pulled up, but not before the sirens blared.
Jane may serve as a real pivotal character to Jesse's maturing process. She's a heckuva lot better conversationalist than Windy Wendy who was always whining for her rootbeer. At least Jane can string a sentence together or come up with a thought. It's too bad you don't like her James26 - then it's impossible to watch them (I've had characters/actors I detest). I think her character is meant to change Jesse and up his maturity level, at least for a while. Other than Walt, I think Jane is the only person in Jesse's immediate circle who isn't high or strung out, and I think Jesse is beginning to appreciate that in a person (sobriety, normal conversation).
When I think of who Jesse is surrounded by normally for any conversation or interaction (Badger, Skinny Pete, Windy Wendy), it's pretty pitiful. Jesse is a smart guy, but my god, who he talks to on a regular basis (other than Walt) would be a starvation diet as far as intellectual stimulation. No wonder he keeps going back to the bong or the pipe - I would, too, if I was only interacting with people like Combo, Badger, Skinny Pete, Windy Wendy, Spooge, Skank.
I better qualify that - I think Jesse is similar to Walt, in that he's got intellectual smarts, not great in the common sense department of life, alot of time. Even though, supposedly, Jesse has the street smarts in the partnership.
I guess by comparison to Jesse's other friends, Jane is a freakin' genius, but just because she can actually have a conversation, doesn't make me like her!
Careful, dude. Jane knows guys who'll have your a-- in a dumpster faster than you can blink.
LOL!
Seriously, can't we just be happy for Jesse?
Jane's character is key because it adds another plot line, another variable, adding to an already complex and fascinating dynamic.
How will it all play out? Will Jesse have to choose between Jane and Walt at some point? Will Jane be kidnapped by the cartel and used to blackmail Walt and Jesse? Is Jane using Jesse? Is Jane a space alien??......
Who knows, but it's so much fun speculating, and that's the point I guess.
I don't like the Saul aspect one bit. Maybe not kill the guy, but I was hoping they would just strike some fear in the guy out in the desert and he would find a way to get Badger off, just to save his ass. Guess not.
1. Skotty, I agree that Hank's look at the end was more a product of him watching someone else get credit for a bust. Not something he's used to. If you watch, his eyes follow the young detective. If he was deep in though over Walt then I think he would have stared straight ahead. Probably looking to far into it, but that was my take. However, The entire scenario where Walt and Jesse had to intervene had absolutely no purpose in the show other than to give Hank a reason to be suspicious. If Hanks not getting suspicious, then that entire scene meant nothing. For this reason alone, I think Hank is going to put it together eventually, and reflecting back on that situation will be a key piece of the puzzle. But for now I think he was just aggravated at seeing someone else get the credit instead of him.
2. It's kind of obvious that Saul is already in trouble with the Cartel. I think his main interest in Walt is to use him as a bargaining chip to save his ass with the cartel, and make some money in the process. If he can hand the Cartel their competition then maybe they will let him slide.
This episodes was the bomb diggity as a matter of fact they all are and leave you wanting more and makes you say "it's over? WTF!!!" at the end and the little teaser for next week's episode just makes you ansy in your pantsy. the only reason i started watching was cause Bryan Cranston was gonna be in the show and he's known for being funny and crap but damn i didnt know he was gonna snap! but on to the episode. Walt did alot of dumb shit and made up for em take for example showing his face to Saul and then telling jesse to show his face too Stupid Stupid Stupid!!! then again the cat was out of the bag when he coughed in front of him but why drag jesse down with him? Finding someone to take the fall was ingenious, and i like how walt saved the day by distracting the DEA by playing stupid. Damn is Jesse's neighbor hot she also snapped by getting him a bed i laughed my ass off when i saw it. I hope he makes her is G/F and dosent mess it up by getting kicked out, I would like to see more of her sexy self in future episodes. The Begining was awesome but i didnt sympethize with badger he's an idiot why sell to someone you dont know seriously he was on to dude why didnt he just walk away and out in the middle of the street in broad daylight c'mon he was asking to get caught im not a drug dealer and even i know not to do some dumb shit like that. But anywho the episode was awesome cant wait till next week when they make a new batch. Oh yeah I wanna be Knight! as dumb as badger is he is funny Laterz!
zia said "Not sure that it was envy with Hank. He was part of the bust."
Well, there is a huge difference between being the CEO of a company and taking credit for an innovative product all by yourself and sharing credit with the factory floor worker that came up with the product. Same thing with Hank and the local police. He is used to taking the credit all by himself and has surely had an ego boost by the Tuco incident and promotion. It was the local cops that busted Badger and the local cops were pretty much taking the credit for this one too. Who needs a highly paid DEA agent when a $20K a year wet behind the ears undercover cop working for the local police can solve the crime. It surely hurt Hank's ego.
Unforgiven-
One thing I miss about my former cable provider (Bright House Networks) is that while they didn't have AMC HD, they did have Breaking Bad On Demand in HD. That is how I got into the show last year. It was one of the few non-ppv items BHN had in HD that was On Demand. I now have FIOS and DirecTV and neither one of them has Breaking Bad in HD On Demand or AMC HD the channel. As far as the Jimmy dude getting up quick, just go back and watch that scene a few times. There was a fair amount of time between the sirens and first movement of the cars and him putting his hands up. One of the hardest things an arresting officer has to deal with is people resisting putting their hands up. They are usually harmless and unarmed, and it is such an odd request to put ones hands up. People just are not used to putting their hands above their head. A career criminal knows the routine. "Don't shoot!," arms up. How many times does the average person need to be told to put their hands up or down on the ground? It is more than once. From the few arrests I have seen in real life and those that I have seen on TV, people usually have to be shouted at two or three times before they respond. I just don't find it unusual anymore that he got up so quick after watching it multiple times.
ok i was reading Hank's blog and he states [As far as APD's concerned, they've got their man. The Hankster here is not convinced. I know that skidmark worked some crooked lawyer hoodoo or something. But, I guarantee I'll find my kingpin. And if he thinks "Better Call Saul" can save him, he'd better think again.] -end quote
Please post ******spoiler****** for those that don't read Hank's blog or listen to the podcast. I wouldn't have read on if you had. We are pretty much here to discuss what has happened and what we think is going to happen.
Earlier in the season there was somebody who had seen like four shows ahead that was posting way too much information. This isn't that bad as it is on the same site, but still.
Something like, "you'll find what Hank was thinking in Hank's blog" might be more appropriate, so those that want to know can look and those that don't want to know don't have to. We all have our theories, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, but posting direct information without warning kind of takes the fun out of analyzing the show. Just my opinion.
Zia said "I know why Hanks acting so weird ... he ate that burrito that was on the floor at Tio's..;)"
He should have taken that burrito home to Marie..
Let's take a poll. Who is your least favorite regular cast member?
A- Marie
B- Marie
C- Marie
D- _______
My choice is a tie between A,B,C
What does everybody else think?
PS- No offense to the real life actress that plays Marie, she is probably a nice lady IRL... I just fine the character annoying.
I wonder if the cast members read this. I'd guess the probably have better things to do. If it was me, I'd peak, laugh at all of us idiots speculating about the show, and count my money.
Newbie here, so forgive me my trespasses...
Some random thoughts form skip reading through all of these posts.
How does the Cartel know about or or why would they care about Walt?
Tio de Tuco. Hank and Gomez(?) discuss while interrogating Jesse that he was Mexican Mafia. Ok, from what I think I know, Mexican Mafia is more California, and maybe southwest based than Mexico based, but certainly there must be connections. Second, Tio de Tuco must have some connections who have connections who have probably been engaged to give Jessie and Walt what Tio thinks they deserve for getting Tuco killed.
The slimey way that cop lied to and busted Badger just infuriates me. The secenario is so believable. I've had cops lie on me. And cops wonder why poeple don't always support them. The ends don't justify the means. How the cops are allowed to flat out Lie to a person and use the resulting consequences of that lie to bust people is just beyond me.
As much as I like Badger, if he is so stupid to be dealing to ANYBODY, even if it was his best friend, from a location where he has spotted undercover cop activity, (the two trucks/ vans), he deserves to be busted.
The Attorney... My hopes are that he proves useful to Walt and Jesse, teaching them the next level of the business, but then when his time comes, and they've learned all they need to know from him, then they rip him off for all of the cash he's going to milk them for, and turn him over to some ex-clients who are no longer fond of him.
Jane... I hope she's good for Jesse, but you just gotta know that she's going to be someone's pawn in this game and will be forced to screw him over. Hot or not? Well, I wouldn't kick her out of bed, but I'd actually rather have Jesse in bed. I could rock his world!
The women in the show. So far all of their characters seem a bit flat compared to the men. Maybe its just the action sequences that the men have that give the men more dimension. Have any of the women done anything interesting other than a bit of shoplifting? The DEA and the APD, Even the Baby Undercover Cop, certainly are scarier to deal with than risking being busted by a mall cop with a pair of boosted shoes. Much less Tuco and his ilk.
Walt Jr.: I'm just dying to find out how he's going to end up getting screwed. Get hooked on meth through friends? Or starts dealing to make some quick easy bucks(might run in the family:-) after Badger recruits him not knowing he's Walt's son. A "fun" happening would be Jesse getting pissed at Walt and planting some product on Walt Jr, maybe in his crutches, and then dropping dime on him to get back at Walt Sr. That would finally be Jessie's Breaking Bad Moment: When he leaves his basically good nature and turns truly mean-spirited. That would be sad to see. Jesse is the one person I want to see coming out of all of this intact of a basically good nature. Maybe Jessie wouldn't do it, how about Skinny Pete? or ???
Skottey-LOL on the poll! I find Marie annoying too, although I think the actress plays her pretty well. She's also made me laugh a couple of times. As for my least favorite character, I'll give you a hint: It starts with a JANE!!!
Oh geez man...James26, sorry to be the bearer of "bad" news...but, it looks like Jane's going to be around for longer than you'd like!
However, it's GREAT news, for those of us that LOVE her!! Yaaayyyyy!!! =)
This is from the "Season 2 Episode 7" post:

Jane is on the series at least until episode 12 according to IMDB.com.
Excellent!
Crap!! Why does'nt this place have a freakin' EDIT button???
Oops, sorry...Rob is the one, who originally posted that...somehow I missed including his name, in the bold print.
Hey, I figured she would be on until the end of this season, but I have read short descriptions of each episode for this season, and I have reason to believe that she will be gone before season 3 starts! :D
Here's an idea for where I think this show might go in the long run. Saul could start out to be a bit of trouble, and somehow Walt and Saul might get into a battle of brains as they try to con each other (Saul thinks he's smarter than Walt, but he isn't). The main source of tension towards then end will come as it becomes more and more possible, from Hanks point of view, that Walt is a crime boss. Hank will struggle with this reality because it seems Hank and Walt are becoming friends, and Hank is prejudiced towards Walt being a sort of nerd.
A sign that this might be the case will be the writers developing Hanks character more and more, and making Hank and Walt better friends.
jane... is def hot. not my idea of the girl next door. obviously a "gift from god" after all the ass kicking and stuff Jesse lost. (nice score yo!) as much as I was cheering for jesse, I was a little annoyed by her looking like a hot topic diva. I'm guessing her dad is a big player... priest, judge, or mafia... and she's daddy's little girl, only child, spoiled rotten, always gets what she wants, when she wants it... but she was caught doin something thats why she is in recovery. it's got to make jesse reconsider missing a post-coital cuddle over wanting to smoke. no doubt she will be the reason he goes straight edge. but I don't expect a happy ever after... if she makes it into the next season I'll be surprised.
skylar... for sure still thinks Walt was/is having an affair, probably with rich exgf, and she's letting the phone go because it gives her license to have her own game... the smokes were just not the right choice. flirting with the boss is for sure in her and her baby's better interest. and she gets to put walt through what she went through. no doubt why she's in a better mood.
the blue meth... what if adding chili powder turned it white again?! nah, Jesse got his already.
badger... a total idiot for not following his gut, seeing the vans were there, etc he knew the guy was a cop... loneliness clouds judgment? tho I suspected he was going to screw them up somehow, like maybe the towing cousin knows someone who wants their supplies (remember the phone call to sell the lab stuff?)
hank... has to be getting over the "cant be my brother-in-law" denial and figure it out, if he doesnt... he's the dumbest cop in the world. but he will. but he's going to have a stroke or heart attack when he does figure it out.
My BB friends at work were discussing Saul around the water cooler. What do all you bloggers make of this? It happened when Saul first met Badger and he was discussing payment. Went something like this:
Saul told Badger to pay cash, check, cashiers check or money order...then said make it a money order and make it out to Ice Station Zebra Associates, that's my loan out, completely legit and done for tax purposes! What does that mean? I know he is a great scum bag but something clicked in Saul's head. Loan Out?
Saul goes from taking cash, check, cashiers check and then say give me a money order. We think he was reading the arrest report and saw blue meth.....
Saul is into the cartel and has heard of blue meth. Thinks he can get his teeth into another dealer but didn't realize what he actually had in Badger and his connection to Heisenberg.
But the funniest line of the show had to be when Badger says...so, your'e going to get me off right?
Saul hesitates and says "what do i look like? your High School Girlfriend, five fingers no waiting! lol
Jane is hot! Listen, she has needs, Jesse has needs. Jane knows Jesse wants her and she satisfies both her and Jesse without a word! Holds his had and wham. No complication, no small talk, no misunderstanding!
Laz, I'm saving the 200th post for U! 2 weeks in a row.
The hottest babe so far has to be the police women arresting the drunk driver in Saul's commercial. WOW. I have to think you all thought the same thing as she was flashed on the screen!

LMAO! Reminded me of, when a good friend, who was NEVER at a loss for words, was bragging, about a date he'd had.
Dead serious, I asked him, "Really??? Great!! I'm so happy for you!!!
So...was it your Right hand...or your Left?"
He was temporarily speechless...Good thing he knew, I'm the type that likes to joke around & have fun!
About the Lady "cop"...Hank would prolly like to strip-search her, huh??? Or, vice-versa! ;)
Oh, and as far as James26 goes...it's a lost cause, to try & get him to see all the good points of Jane. =(
All of us, that love her character & think like you do...have'nt been able to convince him, that she's good for Jesse & how sweet she is.
Can't save 'em all, Hasselhauf! LMAO! =D
"Crap!! Why does'nt this place have a freakin' EDIT button???
Yeah why doesn't it ??"
In a way I sort of like the 1998 feel of this talk forum. I mean seriously, any other forums I am involved with use threaded formats, reply to buttons for specific posts, edit buttons, etc. This wonderful site leaves no room for error. Make an error and you look like an asshole forever for saying "there" instead of "their" or any number of commonly made mistakes.
Since we already know that they don't moderate this forum or edit posts, we could start a new forum on another site and announce it repeatedly here until everyone is moved over.
Or, even better, AMC/Breaking Bad could start using one of the many software packages like VBulletin.
This forum is pretty outdated. I ran something similar to this on my first website. Sheesh.
Only 3 more days. Right on. Check out the fabulous story in todays edition of USA TODAY newspaper. Our boy "Aaron Paul" is featured. Great article. Entitled "Breaking Bad has been very good to Aaron Paul". I can't believe Vince was planning on killing off Jesse at the end of the 1st Season. Would have been a huge mistake.
i f***'n LOVE BB. Last nights eps. was the best.. it had me on the edge of my seat laughn =) i agree hank knows somethns up and i think he would want a cut when he does peice it together(or walt spills). as for jane and jesse- i think a little tlc will do him good :) Oh! and saul- i dont want him goin anywhere.. love him. i cant wait to see how this season will pan out. keep up the good work
4justice-The world needs more Janes? So you're saying the world needs more whores? I think it's already got plenty of those.
I wish everyone would just shut the fuck up about Jane already. She's such a small part of the show and won't be in it for the long haul, but all you drooling idiots are so mesmerized by her junkie ass for some reason. There's so much better and more important things going on in the show. She's just a temporary hook-up for Jesse, as all sluts like her are. She's not going to be his angel, or his saving grace, or whatever. The cartel will probably smoke her ass. At least I hope they do!
Yeah, folks, please, enough with chiding James26 about Jane. He's been pilloried for days about not liking her character. Big deal, he's got a right to his tastes and to voice them - and I'm a big Jane fan. I'm sure he's not the only viewer who can't stand her.
Yes - born on May 1st, and the joke goes that my mom took one look at me, came running out of the hospital screaming: Mayday, mayday - we have an emergency!!!
James26: You don't like Jane. Big Deal. I don't like my steak well done, big deal. You have your own taste my man.....it's cool. However, I do believe that Jesse's girl Jane will be with us through this entire season, and into the third. Still water runs deep, and they haven't even begun to flesh out her character. Hey J26, hope this doesn't ruin the show for you. :)
I was watching the screen last night for the 200th post and I fell asleep. Thanks, 4justice. skottey was eyeing the posts.
Anyways, I see that people are still buggin James26 over Jane. Sorry I started that, man. If you want I can do an about face and start an I HATE JANE fan club. We can have a secret handshake and everything.
I'm surprised no one brought this up earlier. Can you believe that Badger didn't want to be known as the guy who masturbated in public, but would rather be known as meth dealer! That was too funny! I was laughing so hard I almost didn't catch all of the dialogue.
James26: There are several reasons why Jane is going to be around for next season and why she is such an important piece of the BB puzzle, whether anyone likes it or not. 1) She is a positive influence on our man Jesse. It's like sweet & sour. They need one another. 2) There are so many story lines that her character can open for the show. 3) Her blood hound father, who is he? Bad/Good? Who know's but would like to find out. 4) She has some bad ass connections. Who are they? Perhaps the future protection for Jesse's crew. 5) Her character is mysterious. She has alot going on under her quiet aura.
James, trust me on this. Remember who said there had to be a little kid in peekaboo?? :)
I gave my reasons why she'll be around. Give us your reasons why she will be gone.
By laz3000 on May 1, 2009 2:01 PM Can you believe that Badger didn't want to be known as the guy who masturbated in public, but would rather be known as meth dealer!
Maybe he knew his attorney had things screwed up; but that the court would know what was going on. So you want to make sure you have a proper defense from the start.
Do you really think a judge would ask "Are you the masturbater or the drug dealer?" You're going to get charged with what's on the paper in front of the judge's face.
And as far as this whole "Jane" controversy - I don't even see where it's coming from. I've replayed a couple times and I haven't found anything "evil" in her. (Except that she's in rehab. But that's more of a 'concern')
Unforgiven: LMAO!!! My brain is like the Forums here...it also, needs an Edit button!
Sadly, it also lacks an extremely important function...Common Sense! Ha ha ha!
BTW...Happy Birthday!!! Hope you're having a great one! =)
this show for me is alot about relateing to walt jesse hank etc and to know and feel exactly what they are going through the guys were easy at the start of season 2 things got complicated i found out that i was haveing a hard time relateing to skyler and marie then i thought she is a clepto because she needs and desperately wants attention from hank who is all about his job marie comes second and she knows it so she steels to get him to notice her well just my thoughts on her hope it helps
RODDOGHD said: ''She needs and desperately wants attention from hank who is all about his job, marie comes second and she knows it, so she steels to get him to notice her." Right on brother. I've always thought she was a very needy person. You articulated it very well.

I don't even think she's in rehab. She tossed the token to Jesse. My guess is that she is just doing the 12 steps, and may have even gotten there on her own. I have noticed from other people that earnestly work THEIR program , it's the only way it works.. if it's something THEY want not someone else.
I really don't buy it as a disease , more inclined to think of it as a disorder. But then tobacco is the only thing I'm hooked on.
She is really a great addition to the show. The mystery lady, with no family dynamics at this point. It will interesting to see what happens with that next season, when they no doubt bring her Dad into the picture.
By zia on May 1, 2009 5:06 PM I don't even think she's in rehab. She tossed the token to Jesse.
Of course she is. That's what the 'coin' is all about. Getting through treatment. Your 'prize' at the end. Hey - I'll mail you my coin as I suck down this Hurricane (High Gravity)
She might be doing a 12 step thingy, but that's where the 12 steps come in. Making you buy into some religious crap while telling you it's not religious.
I'm glad you brought up tobacco - I am one month without! Just because they put it out of my price range. Don't get me wrong... I'd love to do a puff, but they pissed me off, put it out of my price range. So I walked out and told them to suck my nutz. Which did not happen and pissed me off even further! *grin*
So - which brings me to:
I quit dope because I got tired of it.
I quit smoking because it got too expansive.
I still drink because it's the last I can afford. If they fuck this off I will be SO pissed off!
I really don't see the big deal on Jane either, she is an attractive gal who is in AA/NA, that's about it. Who knows, maybe she will turn out good for Jesse, or maybe she will start using again. I don't find her character all that interesting yet, I am sure that will change in a few episodes when a relative ( I assume her dad) shows up. I was surprised to see John de Lancie plays Donald Margolis (I remember him from some old Star Trek TNG's when he played a character called "Q"), so that should be fun to watch...and this upcoming Gus Frings character also looks interesting.
Happy Birthday Unforgiven! Hope you have a great day!

1- Happy birthday
2- You win this weeks prize for having the most off topic post. Nobody gives a fuck about your computer speed.... hahaha :)
PS- I just clicked on your picture to get a better look at you and you have that Ray Liotta hard ass look about you. Maybe you should enter that contest to be on Breaking Bad. You might just win. Can you act?
Wow! Unforgiven, you don't give me any credit at all. I know that Saul had things mixed up, but the look on Badger's face was more upset that he was put into the masturbating category rather than the meth dealing category. It didn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure that one out.

"Can I act?" Well.. I can act up -- does that count? heheh
Laz3000. You snooze, you lose!....Skottey Got ya! Good Luck next week on the 200th post.
I also love this forum. I find the fishing good! drop a big ole night crawler in the slow moving water and wait for the suckas to bite! :) Some just keep biting. Great catch and release water.
Another great quote from Badger when he asked the APD undercover officer to lift his shirt and prove he wasn't wired. When he did, Badger says "Blinded by white" The old (age) bloggers might remember Mannfred Manns's Earth Band hit from about 1978 Blinded by the Light.
Unforgiven! You are so right about having nothing better to do on a Friday night. I'm studying and talking to an ex-girlfriend. I feel so lonely right now. I think I need to hug myself.
LMAO...well, it would totally suck worse, if you were "hugging yourself" to that pic I posted previously...instead of some porn! Just kidding...ha ha...ha...
*sigh* Sorry...that was lame! =\
Ehhh, yeah, I'm bored too...guess us BB Junkies need another fix, huh?
Sunday is just TOO far away!
noah-I won't give my reasons for Jane being gone because it might be a spoiler, but go to wikkipedia and look up the list of BB episodes. They all have short descriptions, and it sounds like Jane may not be around much longer.
Ok diksee, I have no idea what pic you posted previously - but here's my run down... I have a Hurricane High Gravity in front of me. My back is fucked up -- but it's fun joking with you all. And if I got anyone to laugh tonight; I've done my job.
Sorry 'bout your back...and yeah, you've been successful, in getting several chuckles outta me...
'Specially that "Can you act?" & your reply of, "Well.. I can act up" Ha ha! Good one!
laz3000 -- seriously, what are you studying? My major was electronics. (OK, a two year degree (but still) I love mathematics and all (yea I'm kinna a geek)) -- [see how I nest my parentheticlies properly ?!?] . Geek GEEk GeAk!
Oh & BTW...the link to that pic, is in the post, where I'm pretending to "wig out" about Jane getting a bad rap.
Eh, the whole post does'nt really make sense, unless you click on the link to view the picture...
That's another thing, I wish we could do here, is be able to put the pics directly in our posts.

Pfffft! Women drivers, huh? =\
Ha ha ha!
in the preview jane gives jesse a weird look when he takes the phone in the bedroom for privacy that right there makes me think she is going to try and controll evory aspect of jesse's life just like a woman
By Unforgiven on May 1, 2009 6:30 PM
Of course she is. That's what the 'coin' is all about. Getting through treatment. Your 'prize' at the end. Hey - I'll mail you my coin as I suck down this Hurricane (High Gravity)
lol...maybe I can make a pipe out of it
She might be doing a 12 step thingy, but that's where the 12 steps come in. Making you buy into some religious crap while telling you it's not religious.
Oh so true from what I have seen from program people. Some of them are alright.. but good greif some of them are just bible thumpers in another form.. Replaced one problem with another.
I'm glad you brought up tobacco - I am one month without! Just because they put it out of my price
range.
I hear you on that one... I get smokes on the Rez
but they are getting too pricey there too and it's a pain to have to go out there. Sin tax-sin tax.. everywhere there is a sin tax.. you can count on them getting alcohol next.
The early Gretchen was pretty fetching, but the older, settled version's rusting out. Too rich too long. Just because the Bentley's beautiful, doesn't mean the operator's an angel. BTW, what was it that sleezball Saul was about to climb into before he was kidnapped?..a
Chrysler, perhaps? I remember it being some sort of land-boat.
Jane is gonna save Jesse. From what I'm not sure then he'll probably leave her hanging and dis her but not because he wants to just because he cant help it.
Tchefuncte Tiger said "James26 said: "Skyler all the way for me! Hell, I'd take a three-way with her and Marie over Jane!"
I agree. I think Skyler is one of the finest women on TV."
How about one big orgy with a pregnant Skyler, Walt, Marie, Jesse, Jane, Hank, Saul, Badger,Gretchen, the toothpick local cop, and Tuco's rotting corpse? Oh, and the turtle too.
When are you people going to realize this show is not about sex?
We guys are rotten to the core looking for the sexual angle to every aspect of life. You watch a show, "oh, I'd fuck her." You go to the grocery store, "oh, I'd fuck her." At church, at school, at funerals for God sakes. The bosses' wife, the neighbor's daughter, and the female cop that pulled you over. Why do we think this way?
I've been able to turn this off for Breaking Bad. How 'bout the rest of you guys? Breaking Bad is not a sex oriented show guys. Come on.
Take the sex out of BB. It is getting annoying. You want to talk about Saved By the Bell (late 80's Tiffany Amber Thiessen) or a modern day slasher movie with the stranded teens being picked off one by one during or after sex, fine, think sex. But don't do this to Breaking Bad. Turn the dick off for 60 minutes a week!
By skottey on May 2, 2009 8:26 PM You watch a show, "oh, I'd fuck her." You go to the grocery store, "oh, I'd fuck her." At church, at school, at funerals for God sakes. The bosses' wife, the neighbor's daughter, and the female cop that pulled you over.
And your point is... ? All except "the female cop that pulled you over". I'd fuch her, but not in the nice way. But I have issues with 'authority figures'. If ya couldn't tell.
What do you mean, "Dude, chill! It's just a television show?"
The television show isn't the problem. The television show is fantastic. That is why we are all here. The problem (more an annoyance actually) is the guys defaulting to looking for pussy as usual. But this is Breaking Bad! Turn off the dick and enjoy the drama. Stop looking at Jane sexually. She isn't going to last anyway.
Admittedly, Skyler looked good done up for her boss, pregnant and all. But that is so far down the totem pole with Breaking Bad.
I just think too many are distracted by Jane. She needs a bullet in her back.... right where her tramp stamp would go, if she was committed enough to get a tattoo. But she doesn't like commitment, which was obviously part of Jesse's initial appeal.
But he needs to be careful what he wishes for. He likes her, and that early attraction to non-commitment is going to be the end of the 'relationship' if she doesn't get dead first.
Poor Jesse. Another setback is coming in the next four shows. My best guess is she won't put up with his cooking. I don't honestly think she'll get dead but who knows.
Unforgiven said "But guess what movie is on History channel. Unforgiven. I just might put on Metallica Black Album and play ... Unforgiven!"
History Channel plays movies? God I love DVRs. I watch a lot of History Channel by means of DVR and my little recordings of shows that look cool like The Universe and other goodies, but I didn't know they play movies since I so guide searches and dont browse the guide too much or watch History on the fly. I hope they don't give up too much of their original programming. I personally never watch movies on the commercial channels. Premiums, DVDs, or bluray only for me.
Metallica's Black Album was excellent btw. It was a great part of my preteen years. I used to fall asleep to it with my cassette tape of it, believe it or not. Good stuff.
skottey - (yet again) -- tell me dude, what is with all this Skyler talk? That's Walt's wife; correct? Damn, she is such a snag! That's what I think. Every time she opens her mouth I wish she hadn't.
Metallica in your preteen years? Wow! I'm just now 52 and wondering what I was listening to in 'preteen years'. Probably The Stones & The Beatles. Who knows - it was a long time ago.
Ray Lolita(sp?) -- for real??? I've heard Sam Elliot before (which I disagree, but totally prefer).
Is skottey a prude? It's all good if you are, stay down to what you belive.I hear what you're saying.
But everybody thinks about it all the time......well ,most everybody does.
I;m just shy of 34. I just have distinct memories of listening to the black album over and over. I just looked to see when it was released and it was 1991. Wow... I thought I was younger. I must have been 16 then. Funny how the memory skews time. I was thinking I was like 12.
Regarding Skyler, I think she was annoying for so long that most guys really didn't think of banging her brains out. Heck, she was already knocked up (which I realize is certainly a valid fetish you sick freaks!). She is growing on me some as a character who is focused on her boss and detaching from her soon to be dead husband. Not to pick on my wife at all, but I hear enough bitching from women in real life that I don't want to hear Skyler question and lash out at Walt each week. Now she has focused on her boss and dolling herself up, and I think they have made a better character out of her without totally sexualizing her. Is sexualizing a word because it sounds good but doesn't look right and it is being underlined in red and the spell check doesn't have any suggestions but I like it so I am going to keep it. So anyway, there really wasn't a lot of talk on this board about sex with the characters until Jane entered the picture. Now it is every third entry. I hope they didn't just put her in to sexualize the show (there's that underlined word again).
Btw, off the subject, but I wanted to say this while it was fresh in my head. My wife and I were watching shows from this week off DVR last night and The My Name is Earl sure as heck had Skank (Dale Dickey) on. Somebody had mentioned her being on that show and that show is so mindless that even though I knew I had seen her before I couldn't remember where. She has actually done 17 episodes of My Name is Earl. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0225460/
I wonder how a person feels when they are cast in a wasting slut hooker druggie role show after show. She most know deep down inside she comes across that way. We all have known or at least met some junkie and she is so stereotypical of many. I used to live in an apartment building that had all types, rich to poor. Down on the lower floors they had very cheap efficiencies. This one woman down on two looked like her but a little older and a little heavier. If she wasn't smoking crack she was BEGGING me for one of my painkillers. But she worked. She was a waitress. So anyway, getting way off subject here I know but I sent the clip from facebook the other day of the ATM scene to a guy that also lived in the building and knew this lady and his response was that it looked just like Terri! Yep, sure did.
Blue Runner- no, I am no prude. I am your typical guy. I am married and never would stray but I look and I see what goes on around me. I was a horn-dog my whole life and it is just different when you get married. When I was single I hated going to the grocery store because of all the ass. I couldn't stay focused. I wanted to hit on a woman in every aisle. Just something about young healthy fit women with or without a kid, shopping for their families, that did it for me every time. Heck, one of the few one night stands I had happened to be a cashier chick at the grocery store I shopped at. Of course I didn't realize it until after I took her home and then of course I started seeing her every time I went shopping. Even when I was dating other women. It was like, my God, how am I going to explain getting in the aisle behind this elderly lady with a full cart and six aisles down there she is, with an empty line. Girlfriend says, "why don't we take that lane?" "No.. no... no... I don't want to move now." Close call! How awkward. Anyway, I just think Jane is distracting many guys from the show. Stay the course VInce. Keep focused guys. haha.
I was thinking about the next episode so much this week I didn't finish my school work and now I have to rush to get it done! I didn't even read any posts yesterday because I had to get out of the house and get it off of my mind. I just got home after church and have to finish some reports, but couldn't stop laughing at the latest posts.
skottey, you really think the guys are going to stop pointing out the hot chicks on the show? You can only hope, man. The show isn't about sex, but a young hot girl will catch a guy's attention every time. I have a five-year old daughter and I feel awkward looking at younger women now just because I know one day someone will be looking at my daughter that way. It pisses me off.
Anyways, I think the principal is the hottest on the show. Just like a man for ya!
I hear you about the daughter thing. I am so glad I have boys. But we have another one on the way (my last and not due until November, let's see if Skyler has the baby first, haha) and we don't know the sex yet. I am already strict and protective of my 12 year old and 15 month old boys, I will probably have a heart attack if I end up with a daughter. I know how guys think.
Only a little over 8 hours to go. I am sad in a way, only about what, 4 shows left this season? Then we have to wait until next winter. That stinks. I guess it is back to laughing and making fun of the rest of the garbage on TV, like Dog the Bounty Hunter. Me sad.
Oh my GOD!!! Do you guys see how Jane is ruining the show? You made a good point, skottey. Nobody here was talking about sex until her slutty ass showed up. I was merely stating before that I think Skyler (and Marie) are better looking than her. BB isn't about sex at all, except for when Walt would occasionally almost rape Skyler. Seems like he's done doing that for now though. I'm making a vow right now to not talk about Jane at all, or anything sexual at all about the show, unless it's required due to the storylines. I knew this would happen as soon as Jane showed up. I feel like she's just some cheap T&A thrown in there for really no good reason other than to get more guys to watch the show. Jesse is much better off without her, and hopefully she'll be gone before this season is over. As for tonight, I'm hoping she won't be on much since Walt and Jesse are heading out to the desert for a cooking marathon! Now please, everyone, shut the hell up about Jane!!!
Totally agree that Breaking Bad isn't about sex. The sex shown seems to be either angry (Walt and Skyler) or needy (Jesse with Windy Wendy). It seems to fit in the scenes well, especially with Walt, and how he dealt with all the Tuco drama. Those were intense scenes and seemed to be all about anger & power and less about sex. Kinda hard to describe. Anyway, if BB threw some "hot chick" in for eye candy I would be disappointed, but I doubt they have. Maybe it's the characters she brings into the show that will be important, it really is tough to say, but knowing the show, there has to be a lot more to Jane, we just have to wait and see what it is. So far, I don't really care for any of the main female characters all that much.
skottey - having a girl isnt that bad, I have a 3 year old and I am very protective (of both her and my 5 yr old son) but little girls really switch it up and it's alot of fun (so far...god help me when she gets older). Congrats on the new lil' skottey coming in November.
By skottey on May 3, 2009 9:14 AM ............................................. one of the few one night stands I had happened to be a cashier chick at the grocery store I shopped at............
LOL I actually have done the same but not a chick a guy cashier at the store I shop at. I'm single so it doesn't really matter, but it is still awkward if the one night stand is one you'd rather forget but cant because you need milk.
Cherry Popped!!!!! YO!
34 minutes.....
Good stuff.

3 minutes, yo!
Holy crap, DJ Qualls is on the show!!!
sweet opening scene
That slut Jane is ruining the show.
D-Dave -- you must be east coast (damn-it). I still have hours to go. But at least I have Roy Orbison on PBS for now.
"I got a woman as mean as she can be;
Sometimes I think she's almost, mean as me!"
This show is too ill. I live in El Paso, TX border to Juarez, CH and the drug problem is horrible. Cartels even threatened to kill the mayor who now lives in El Paso.
Unforgiven
I AM the rock-n-roll master!
Bob from Mr. Show is Badger's lawyer!
Last week Walt pretended to be Jesse's dad, now he's pretending to be Badger's uncle, lol! I love how the show is becoming about everyone, even Badger! Layered like nachos, yo!
Walt's hat in the lawyers office ...
HillToppers.. rightee---oo
Skyler looked WAY too hot for work!
I had a feeling Badger would screw up. That boy's not too bright, and he shouldn't be in the bizness.
Trivia:
Who is the guy in the white jacket playing the paisley telecaster?
[Hint: played guitar for Elvis towards the end] (notruB semaJ)
"I recognized your cough", lol!
This is probably the funniest episode yet!
"I only got a five." LMAO
wow. there goes all their hard earned money!
I think I made the call on Badger awhile back.. but then he has been playing the goofus for a few eps.
The whole take Saul out to the desert for a planting... classic :)..
That lawyer's a piece of shit. He'd rip off a blind man of his tin cup.
There is no doubt they have created the best show ever. They can't win for anything. What is up with Saul tryin to get Badger shanked. I don't know who I'm rooting for here. I'm just losing it! I loved every moment of this episode!
Bob Odenkirk makes any show funnier! :)
Unforgiven plugs his ears, going "BLA BLA BLA..."
Damn-it. I still have two hours to go!
But I wouldn't give up being west coast for anything. (except money)
Lots of it!!!
Walt needs Saul on his side!!
did that episode fly by or what :)
yeah... The Core ..Rat.. the kid cop
I knew that nose from somewhere... good thing he's a cop.. it'd cost a fourtune to pack it with meth...lol
Whoa! That lawyer's gotta be the next on the list to "Get Got" yo!
That Jane is BLISTERING hot! Jesse's got it going on! That babe has the hottest DSL's I've seen on TV in a long time!
It was great the cop talked smack with Badger for so long, trying to prove he wasn't the law, then got him on the "technicality" that if you say you're not a cop, you can't be one. "It's in the constitution!" Badger is really stupid!!
Does anyone know how many seasons this show scheduled to run?
hmm.. the look on Hanks face after the bust... I think he's wondering if something is a little fishy
Great comedy moment with Walt blocking Hank's view. He reminded me a lot of Hal from Malcolm in the Middle there! :)

"That Jane is BLISTERING hot! Jesse's got it going on! That babe has the hottest DSL's I've seen on TV in a long time!"
Thanx, dude. This is going to be the longest two hours of my life. (Well, just about)
Good episode, not the best of the series, or the season, but exciting and interesting without any Tuco or cooking action (also minimal family/character development stuff which was interesting.
What an ironic twist of fate that would be, selling your soul for nothing.
skylar was wearing black in the episode tonight. she normally wears blue, right?
KILLER episode........surprises galore too........awesome!!! Bob Odenkirk is great.........haha, threatening to call police on Walt......omfg killer
laz3000-yea i read the price/right article.......that's great! lmfao
unforgiven-Central(okla city)......another hour or two lmfao patience!! :P
This was basically an all-comedy episode. It almost seemed like a sitcom about drug dealers, lol, but in a good way! I loved it!
Sorry Unforgiven, must suck to be you! I know, that's rude and I apologize. Seiously Jane is balls-out TREACHEROUS!
oh......and Hank is starting to figure everything out..."Big Time!".........
He knows that dude's not Heisenberg.........
He knows he looks like Walt too......who happened to block surveillence until Badger was clued in..........he gave the look of "holy shit.......it can't be.......but is it?" there after the bust...........killer
hat .. not hilltoppers.. which is Los Alamos High.. it's Isotopes... my bad
Great ep. loved the look on Walt's face when the lawyer walked into his classroom!
Absolutely. Walt and Jesse need a crooked lawyer ala Sean Penn in Carlito's way. I think Saul will be a good addition to their "gang". :P
Hah! I think the lawyer is going to be a great character.
Also am lovin' Jane
It was hilarious when Hank asked Badger how old Heisenberg is, and Badger said "Old. Like 50 or 70 or something". ROFL!!!
Could this show get any better?
Last thing before I have to get some sleep. I think this weeks photos have been the best so far. Great job to whoever took them.
Breaking Bad Season 2 Episode Photos
I find it real intriguing because you know at some point Hank IS going to figure it out.
The real question is Hank going to sell out his brother in law or warn him or get on the take
Oh man, I just read the interview with Aaron Paul where he said Jesse was originally supposed to be killed off at the end of the first season! Thank God that didn't happen!
I kind of see the Hank putting the pieces together as a finale season episode .. hooks up with Skyler talks with her.. she expesses how in the heck have the bills gotten paid .. Walt comes back from a cooking run.. the light bulb has gone off in Hanks head
walt come in the door.. then... to be continued:)
scheiße -- fell asleep again. (what-ev-ver, call it passed out if you must) On Demand don't fail me now...
oh man.... this is scarin me i pray nothing to bad happens and the end of the season from the way its going it really doesnt look like walt is going to be alive much longer but the preview could throw us off and maby it wasnt correct later on or something i dunno but i pray thats its on for a third mann its getting so intense!
"Better call Saul" indeed!!
Bob Odenkirk also guest starred on Seinfeld, as did Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn. :)
tpkelly-I remember that episode.
I'm glad I never read spoilers or anything. Tuco's final episode was the most intense hour of television I've ever seen!
Holy scheiße -- the thought plickens!
Also, I'm wondering what Hank's fate is going to be by the end of this season.
It seems inevitable that Walt is going to have to do something, or will the risk of Hank's job get him first?
Although, there is the obvious possibility of Walt telling Hank, but personally, I can't see it happening.
Oh, and I have a feeling next week will show us one last sneak peek into the Teddy Bear scene.
jamm54 -- Are we sure that Skyler actually had an affair with her boss? I only recall Skyler making a vague hint that something intimate had occured between them at a party while he was drunk, but no specific details. Did I miss something?
In all, there were four Heisenberg-like men at the bust scene (counting Hank), based solely on Badger's description. After I watched it again an hour ago, I noticed how on-cue Jimmy's posturing for the police was during the bust. Perhaps Hank's ruminating moment was in response to that...we can only guess. But still, the point remains--Hank's pursuit of Heisenberg appears to be unthwarted.
Who is "Rat from The Core"?
Watch out for Jane.
Has anyone called Saul yet? LOL
505-164-CALL
And ANOTHER thing...
That pound of Meth is now in evidence, lost from the street forever and Jimmy is off to prison and Badger should be back on the street.
okay...
Sheesh.
Saul Goldman!! Great addition! He is PERFECTION!
tpkelly
the Core was a movie from a couple of years back..sci-fi where they had to go to the earths core to save the planet.
the same actor played Rat and the young dea cop
Can hardly wait for next week!
I'm not liking Jane at all. I think she is more likely to screw things up than Saul. I don't know if it's just me, but none of the female characters on the show seem that likeable. Skyler, Marie, Jane, etc.
I don't know about Jane quite yet. I would like to think that she will be helpful with Jesse and show him there is a way out of his present lifestyle
diksee Jimmy knew he was going to be busted, and that it was part of the plan.
Hey everyone! Here is a different preview than the one on here, the AMC site. Good stuff.
http://beta.video.msn.com/play/?g=fd24c914-d955-4a73-8d69-911f80f16be3
Thanks DepraveDave for the info.
skottey: Well...D'OH!

Breaking Bad rocks, I love this show.

--
but recall the Ep where Jesse was dead broke, with nowhere to stay, & got the blue port-a-potty shyt on him.
Interesting scenerios, nomamesbuey!
If Spooge's wife & Spooge weren't meth addicts, arguably the ATM machine would never be at their house, & Spooge's wife would've never killed Spooge with the ATM
jamm54,
remember when Walt and Jesse started making meth with the P2P it changed the chemical composition of the meth.
So scoreboard is 8-1 sale deaths v OD deaths.
I can see them expanding out to other large cities certainly if Saul can help... Like Phoenix or Dallas. After all it's not like meth is only in Abq.
Certianly they could do a hour ride on SouthWest airlines
I think Skank & her headjob were junkies also maybe more so
^skank aka Spooge's wife is junkie, as is Jessie's whore gf.
I was not referring to Jesse's new gf/landlord/next door neighbor
i loved it as usual!
to answer someone who posted earlier at the end walt wrote " 40 not even close (circled)". i liked how the writers subtlely put that in there to signify that that's probably how much money walt has & he's nowhere near 737. connecting us to the 1st episode & to why he cooks.
i'm with everyone here who doesn't like saul. he's a shister and he's gonna be a big problem in the future for walt because he'll continually bleed his funds.
naw... wendy was a tweaker
she was skittled out, not loaded
skank was on the nod at the end of peek a boo
badger was killing me. the whole time he was having that conversation w/dj qualls i was thinking if you have to ask so many questions don't sell him anything.
also since heisenberg is supposed to be locked up what will walt call himself now? i suggest a latino name so he can blend in better & he needs to keep his face out the scene as much as possible.
gcomet-
A scumbag attorney like Saul will milk the boys for as much money as he can and then stab them in the back. It can go either way, but I'd rather not have Saul involved.
nomamesbuey-
Excellent thought process on Walt changing the color for the next batch.
Thanks, conversequeen! I appreciate you reminding me about that! =)
Okay, that's enough ranting for this week, keep up the good work AMC.
pf.
Our friend Jesse must be packin' some heat. ;-)
LMAO, jimanaz! Maybe it's still blue? Ahhhhhh, Baby Jane...come to Papa Smurf! LOL LOL LOL
i think Walt is bs-ing about the methylamine going bad......i think he was saying that, so he wouldn't have to tell Jesse the results of the catscan or whatever..............
and he isnt gonna die in a few weeks either haha.......season 3 is in the works :D
I've been a fan of Bob Odenkirk for a good long while, and think he's a perfect fit as Saul.
Also, I hope you guys will vote for me in the contest to be in an episode next season.
blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad-contest/2009/04/tim-friedman.php
I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
Jane is a whore. I really hope her character is written off before the end of this season.
Scary Good Stuff.
does anyone know the song that was playing when Walt was distracting the DEA?
it's pretty intense haha.
next weeks episode is gonna be hawt!!
Jane serving herself some cereal in her panties :)
Jane a whore?... sounds like someone ain't getting any
Real intelligent, zia. Asshole.
James26-
I think all the women on the show are pretty annoying.

LOL LOL LOL!
so I'm watching the episode again and I just noticed Saul mentions the Cartel!
=O!!!!
Oops, sorry zia...did'nt mean to make it sound like, I thought your comment was annoying, 'cuz it made me giggle! ;)
he calls the cop (DJ Qualls) a Sneaky Pete.
" raculfright_13 did you tape it, or something? Or, did it air again this afternoon?"
I downloaded the episode actually.
OK, that jogs my memory now!! Thanks for clearing that up!
Lucky you! I'm living in BFE, and it sure does mess up downloading...dial-up ya know...
It sucks! =( (And, NOT in the good way! hah!)
Oops, sorry...my bad! Skinny Pete is the other guys name.
Geez, I need to pay better attention! =\

No problem... it was meant as a joke.. too bad the mature?? response was name calling... guess that net for ya
dlksee-
It is 2009, most of us DVR the show.

Gotta go tell my kin-folk about DVR's!
We ain't seen THIS much excitement, since Granny got her tit, caught in the wringer! ;)
Hee hee!
My apologies, for using the wrong term...oopsie! Thanks for pointing that out, though! =)
JANE OR NO JANE I DONT CARE AS LONG AS THE ACTING STAYS THE SAME SO FAR SHE IS PLAYING A GREAT PART NOW LETS SEE HER ACT
Comments on the episode:

Admittedly, he was up with his hands in the air before the vans pulled up, but not before the sirens blared.
laz3000-I can only hope that Jane is out of the picture sooner or later. And by the way, you're right, Charlize Theron is hot!!!
LOL.....no, I understand how you feel.
Thanks! :)
You'll just have to avert your eyes when we're singing Jane's praises.....LOL
James26 -
Careful, dude.
Can we discuss that?
BTW, I can never watch it on Sunday night. Is there a place to watch online? Right now I'm downloading torrents, but that is a huge PIA.
Not sure that it was envy with Hank. He was part of the bust.
He has to be running things over in his head.
The mask they found was from Walt's school.
He went to Jesse's mom house to try and find Walt.
Walt shows up and blocks the view. Jesse's car was at Tio's
He didn't get to be top dog in Abq. from being stupid.
Mitchell-LOL! Don't worry, I can handle myself with Jane's goons! :P
I hope Jesse doesn't have to choose between her and Walt, but if he does, I hope he chooses Walt!
skottey -- Damn-it, lets not forget Comcast's On Demand
And no, I'm not getting paid for the promo. It just works really good for those of us that have it. Just because it's, like, well ... "on demand"!
skottey -- what I was gettint is that the fake Heisenberg did seem to "assume the position" rather quickly. Sirens or not.
zia said "Not sure that it was envy with Hank.
I thought the baby face cop was dea also... Apd?
sloe-
Please post ******spoiler****** for those that don't read Hank's blog or listen to the podcast.
Just my opinion.
zia-
The baby faced kid is a local cop, he says "Albuquerque PD" when he pulls the gun from his shoe and points it at Badger.
The guy who originally busted Badger on the bench was APD (the scummy bastard - LOL).
That's right... APD takes them young
I know why Hanks acting so weird ... he ate that burrito that was on the floor at Tio's..;)
D. is all of the above right :)
she even irrates Skyler who's pretty annoying herself
Maybe Jessie wouldn't do it, how about Skinny Pete? or ???
Mr. White and Jessie were hella crazy in this episode. I think they were having good time !

Excellent!
Rob
Sorry man...tough titties, huh? LOL
A sign that this might be the case will be the writers developing Hanks character more and more, and making Hank and Walt better friends.
first... MAD WICKED SHOW!!
my newbie comments:
jane... is def hot. not my idea of the girl next door. obviously a "gift from god" after all the ass kicking and stuff Jesse lost. (nice score yo!) as much as I was cheering for jesse, I was a little annoyed by her looking like a hot topic diva. I'm guessing her dad is a big player... priest, judge, or mafia... and she's daddy's little girl, only child, spoiled rotten, always gets what she wants, when she wants it... but she was caught doin something thats why she is in recovery. it's got to make jesse reconsider missing a post-coital cuddle over wanting to smoke. no doubt she will be the reason he goes straight edge. but I don't expect a happy ever after... if she makes it into the next season I'll be surprised.
skylar... for sure still thinks Walt was/is having an affair, probably with rich exgf, and she's letting the phone go because it gives her license to have her own game... the smokes were just not the right choice. flirting with the boss is for sure in her and her baby's better interest. and she gets to put walt through what she went through. no doubt why she's in a better mood.
the blue meth... what if adding chili powder turned it white again?! nah, Jesse got his already.
badger... a total idiot for not following his gut, seeing the vans were there, etc he knew the guy was a cop... loneliness clouds judgment? tho I suspected he was going to screw them up somehow, like maybe the towing cousin knows someone who wants their supplies (remember the phone call to sell the lab stuff?)
hank... has to be getting over the "cant be my brother-in-law" denial and figure it out, if he doesnt... he's the dumbest cop in the world. but he will. but he's going to have a stroke or heart attack when he does figure it out.
can't wait till Sunday!
Saul hesitates and says "what do i look like? your High School Girlfriend, five fingers no waiting! lol
James26:
Jane is hot! Listen, she has needs, Jesse has needs. Jane knows Jesse wants her and she satisfies both her and Jesse without a word! Holds his had and wham. No complication, no small talk, no misunderstanding!
The world needs more Jane's!
:)
Laz, I'm saving the 200th post for U! 2 weeks in a row.
The hottest babe so far has to be the police women arresting the drunk driver in Saul's commercial. WOW. I have to think you all thought the same thing as she was flashed on the screen!
sorry 4justice!
He shoots, he scores!
200!!!!!!
I stole 200!
Skottey, I knew you were waiting! :)
Now the suspense is over for the 200th post and we can go back to real life!
I was looking at a Hank comment in his blog and he also likes the cop in Sauls commercial.

Sheesh.

LMAO...the sad thing is, I can do a GREAT job of looking like a complete asshole, on my very own...Hah!
If they don't comply to our wishes...maybe a "Talk Forum Riot" is in order! BWA ha ha ha!!! Just KIDDING!!!
Oh well...guess this is better than the alternative:
Having to pay, to be here...that would really suck!
Thank you jamm!!! :)
By diksee on May 1, 2009 8:25 AM
Oh well...guess this is better than the alternative:
Having to pay, to be here...that would really suck!
Better do a 'strike out' on that before "they" see it.
(Oh yeah, no edit button...)
But, like me, I guess no-one uses the 'preview' button.
PS: Just got a 1Gig memory stick for b-day. 'Puter is running sweet again!
Yes - born on May 1st, and the joke goes that my mom took one look at me, came running out of the hospital screaming:
Mayday, mayday - we have an emergency!!!
Thanks noah, but like I said before, I have reason to believe she'll be gone before season 3. Just watch and see!
By laz3000 on May 1, 2009 2:01 PM
Can you believe that Badger didn't want to be known as the guy who masturbated in public, but would rather be known as meth dealer!

Let's take a poll. Who is your least favorite regular cast member?
A- Marie
B- Marie
C- Marie
D- _______
D- Skyler -- I've never liked her from the start. Just ask Alexis.
this show for me is alot about relateing to walt jesse hank etc and to know and feel exactly what they are going through the guys were easy at the start of season 2 things got complicated i found out that i was haveing a hard time relateing to skyler and marie then i thought she is a clepto because she needs and desperately wants attention from hank who is all about his job marie comes second and she knows it so she steels to get him to notice her well just my thoughts on her hope it helps
RODDOGHD said: ''She needs and desperately wants attention from hank who is all about his job, marie comes second and she knows it, so she steels to get him to notice her." Right on brother. I've always thought she was a very needy person. You articulated it very well.

And as far as this whole "Jane" controversy - I don't even see where it's coming from. I've replayed a couple times and I haven't found anything "evil" in her. (Except that she's in rehab. But that's more of a 'concern')
By zia on May 1, 2009 5:06 PM
I don't even think she's in rehab. She tossed the token to Jesse.
-OK. Did any of this make scene?-
I really don't see the big deal on Jane either, she is an attractive gal who is in AA/NA, that's about it.
Unforgiven said "PS: Just got a 1Gig memory stick for b-day. 'Puter is running sweet again!"
Congrats on two accounts-
1- Happy birthday
OK...OK!!!! That DOES it!!! I have HAD IT!!!! >=(
The NEXT time, ANYBODY wants to run Jane down again, they need to take it up with THIS fella!
Better watch out, though!
He's a Feather-weight Champ!

LOL - thanx dudes!
PS- I just clicked on your picture to get a better look at you and you have that Ray Liotta hard ass look about you. Maybe you should enter that contest to be on Breaking Bad. You might just win. Can you act?

2.1) - Dude, you are so wrong...
I totally give a shit
heheh
Doesn't it totally suck that we have nothing better to do than bitch about who has nothing better to do on a Friday night on a Friday night?
Yup -- think about it.
I, for one, am going to the beer store... see ya soon
Unforgiven! You are so right about having nothing better to do on a Friday night. I'm studying and talking to an ex-girlfriend. I feel so lonely right now. I think I need to hug myself.
laz3000
I'm baAAaack... A beer in my left hand, "hugging myself" with my right hand! (did I say that?) *shrug*
Can anyone slide me a few bucks for a hooker?
((yes, I know how off topic this is) or is it?)
Sunday is just TOO far away!
laz-It's all good, brother! *Secret handshake*
noah-I won't give my reasons for Jane being gone because it might be a spoiler, but go to wikkipedia and look up the list of BB episodes.
Just being 'Loud-n-Proud'
Sorry 'bout your back...and yeah, you've been successful, in getting several chuckles outta me...
'Specially that "Can you act?" & your reply of, "Well.. I can act up" Ha ha! Good one!
laz3000 -- seriously, what are you studying? My major was electronics. (OK, a two year degree (but still) I love mathematics and all (yea I'm kinna a geek)) -- [see how I nest my parentheticlies properly ?!?] . Geek GEEk GeAk!
Yeah, you did - the appeal for a few $$ for the hooker. LOL

Dammit!! Sorry ya'll 'bout the freakin' double post!! WTF!!! =(
Rassin' frassin' %$#&!!!! *sigh*
Guess that's what I get for PUI, huh? Haha!
ok new forum or what? are we leaving or staying true to this one?
Unforgiven said "Can anyone slide me a few bucks for a hooker?"
I'll give you a buck. Go find Windy Wendy. She likes it doggie style and you look like Ray Loitta anyway so it is probably for the best for both you and Windy :)
Only 38 hours or so to go!

Sorry, I kinda had a hand in it...
Pfffft! Women drivers, huh? =\
Ha ha ha!
skotty - you're too kind.
And thanx for the great start to my day.
How many of you are hung over now? LOL!
in the preview jane gives jesse a weird look when he takes the phone in the bedroom for privacy that right there makes me think she is going to try and controll evory aspect of jesse's life just like a woman
I hear ya, RODDOGHD. Jane is already starting to be bad for our boy Jesse! :(
By Unforgiven on May 1, 2009 6:30 PM
Who's hotter? Jane or Skylar?
Wouldn't mind a threesome, yo!
(Sorry, ladies. We guys are dogs, it's true.)
Some have mentioned that the principal at Walt's school is hot. I was so hammered that episode, I honestly don't remember what she looks like. :-(
Skyler all the way for me! Hell, I'd take a three-way with her and Marie over Jane!

LMAO! Have a it!!
(Ummmmm...can I watch? >=) Bwa ha ha!
Just kidding! )
Jane is gonna save Jesse. From what I'm not sure then he'll probably leave her hanging and dis her but not because he wants to just because he cant help it.
James26 said: "Skyler all the way for me! Hell, I'd take a three-way with her and Marie over Jane!"
I agree. I think Skyler is one of the finest women on TV.

Having that said, less than 25 hours to go!
By skottey on May 2, 2009 8:26 PM

And your point is... ? All except "the female cop that pulled you over". I'd fuch her, but not in the nice way. But I have issues with 'authority figures'. If ya couldn't tell.
Dude, chill! It's just a television show.
Oh yeah - 26 hrs on the left coast.
But guess what movie is on History channel. Unforgiven. I just might put on Metallica Black Album and play ... Unforgiven!
Techfuncte Tiger-
What do you mean, "Dude, chill!
Less than 22 hours to showtime.
Good stuff.
skottey - History channel 'sometimes' plays movies. But usually if they were meant to portray a period of history. I have no idea about this one.
skottey - (yet again) -- tell me dude, what is with all this Skyler talk? That's Walt's wife; correct? Damn, she is such a snag! That's what I think. Every time she opens her mouth I wish she hadn't.
Metallica in your preteen years? Wow! I'm just now 52 and wondering what I was listening to in 'preteen years'. Probably The Stones & The Beatles. Who knows - it was a long time ago.
Ray Lolita(sp?) -- for real??? I've heard Sam Elliot before (which I disagree, but totally prefer).
24 hrs to go, left coast time.
Is skottey a prude? It's all good if you are, stay down to what you belive.I hear what you're saying.
But everybody thinks about it all the time......well ,most everybody does.
Unforgiven-
I;m just shy of 34.

Just like a man for ya!
laz3000-
I hear you about the daughter thing.
Tonites show looks great, I can't wait!
Where is everyone?
4 1/2 hours to go.
So what happens tonight? Any thoughts?
By skottey on May 3, 2009 9:14 AM ............................................. one of the few one night stands I had happened to be a cashier chick at the grocery store I shopped at............
LOL I actually have done the same but not a chick a guy cashier at the store I shop at. I'm single so it doesn't really matter, but it is still awkward if the one night stand is one you'd rather forget but cant because you need milk.
