Breaking Bad The Motion Picture?
Wouldn't it be cool if they did a movie based on the series?
I thought it would be fun to discuss it here.
Now, since this may never happen, I figure we could just name names of whoever would be best in the roles as well as a good long two and a half hour length to cover the whole storyline
So.......
We know what has happened so far in the storyline, which, in theory, could be covered in the first hour of the film
How would you handle the second hour of the film?
How would you end the film?
Would you leave enough actors and plot for a sequel?
My choices?
Al Pacino(or Micheal Douglas) -- Walt
Kim Basinger- Skyler
Tom Welling- Walt Jr
Morgan Freeman- Gus
Aaron Paul (of course) as Jesse
Jennifer Love Hewitt-- Jane
Robert DeNiro- Hank
Danny Devito-- Saul
Anyone else?

I am surprised noone has taken u up on discussing the movie.
Yr list is good..but I would like to see the original cast.
Everyone dismisses Season1 the opening scene..Rv chased
in the desert by police..Walt in underwear jumps out and
makes a cell phone call..I want to explain..Great opening.
Then the explaining via flashbacks to his surprised DEA bro-in-law..
I can't imagine anyone in the main roles except Cranston & Paul. I think everyone else should stay, too. A movie is a great idea. Let's hope that we get to keep the series around for a few more years, but if its cut short for any reason, a movie would be an absolute must!!
Why is a movie needed with substitute actors. This show is 99% better than most of the movie's I've seen. No one else could be Walt and no one else could be Jesse. Everyone is perfect where they are.
Its bad enough I have to wait until next season to find out what gives after tonight. To wait for a movie then dvd to come out to see it over and over to figur everything out would be too excruciating. Also remember that when they made the movie out of the X Files, it wasn't nearly as good as the show in my opinion.
No need for a BB Movie. Somethings are better left as they are, Breaking Bad is one of them. Hollywood makes the presumption that doing remakes of original movies and TV shows will somehow be bringing a new angle to a new audience, when more often than not the Originals are far better. Example: Steve Martin trying to play Peter Sellers character: Inspector Clouseau in the Pink Panther. If its not broken, don't fix it.
Yeah I'm gonna go sit in a theatre for 10 bucks for this...its a good show that's it and as far as replacing the characters I love...get outta here!
I concur with R.W...leave the series as it is and NO Hollywood movie. Leave the characters alone and let their work in this series shine for all their hard earned efforts in portraying their characters. If it isn't broken, DON'T FIX IT. Hollywood stars as Pacino, Basinger just dont fit this type of series..its not meant for the high prices celebs and would cheapen the genius writings of Vince Gilligan. Thanks Vince for your creative imagination showing us just how crazy and desperate our world has become in order to survive the complex, stressful world!
hahaha!! This thread is outrageous... If they do any movie, any at all.. it should be a made for tv movie - an AMC original and exclusive presentation.. It would be great to have something that fills the gap in between seasons 2 and 3. Perhaps Mr. Gilligan could consider maybe a 2 hour special sometime in the fall, or even better - a 4 hour event broken into 2 weeks, like what 24 did a few times.(although i hate that show, BB is all i watch)... That's what happens when he makes a show as pure and addicting as Walt's product.. keeps us scheming up ways to get more, more, more!!!
The Original is ALWAYS better. Anyone want to disagree with me on that, or care to share with me an exception?
