Hola DEA! -- Favorite Moments of Dark Humor

That moment, just before the real tortuga explodes, along with the severed head of Tortuga mounted on top of its shell, epitomizes one of the things I love about this show -- the flashes of dark humor.

Whether it's a decomposed body in a bathtub crashing through the floor of Jesse's former abode, or Walt sarcastically suggesting he bludgeon Tuco with "this" -- while waving a flyswatter, Breaking Bad has it's moments of absolutely brilliant dark humor.

What are your favorite moments of dark humor in Breaking Bad?

OMG!! The flyswatter scene WAS hilarious!

In the first season...Crazy-8 was staggering down the middle of the street...
When he recognized Walt & turned to run away and ran smack-dab into that tree, knocking himself back out!

With this show, there are SO many incidences, that first, make us say...YIKES!!!
Then, that little snicker starts up within & pretty soon we're either
Laughing our asses off...
Standing up & cheering...
Or, yelling "WHOA!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!"

I think it was episode 4 season 1: Jessie just finished hitting the pipe and gets a little paranoid, looks outside and see two big burly Biker types, one clutching a Machete, roll up on his crib. He Freaks and scrambles out the back door and he's gone. Turns out the two guys are young Mormons? They knock on the door, no one home and post a religious flyer or something on the front door. The two then put on their riding helmets, get on their bicycle's and ride off. I was rolling, it was Insanely Hilarious...

This is a great topic!

I think the first funny, "dark" moment for me was Wendy The Ho's lament about losing her root beer after she has the conversation with Hank and Walt Jr. in the first season. I could hardly believe what I was hearing.

This season, I looooved the little smooch Mrs. Spooge gave her finger before she used it to push the ATM on top of her husband. "Ain't no skank."

The horrible day that Jesse had. That's not really dark, but it was ironic. Just one bad thing after another, I couldn't help it, but I was laughing so hard when he stumbled out of the porti potty and into the RV.

The scene with the decomposing body falling through Jesse's ceiling was hilarious, that was the one I had in mind though you mentioned it at the top.

OH and I just remembered, when Jesse and Badger tried cooking and he abandons Badger. The scene where the Winnebago is driving away and Badger shoot his crossbow into the back of the Winnebago. LOL!

I think one of the truly dark moments for me was in this last episode, 207, where Walt is talking about the blowfish and he starts coughing and then Jesse starts inhaling the bong smoke.

How dark is that? Walt had never smoked before and had cancer, but here this kid is wasting his existence on drugs and both are in the exact same place! Sick.

Not exactly dark per say, but my favorite comedic moments.....

---Jesse making fun of Walt for the drug meet at the junkyard "Why not the mall" I love that line when he is talking about heading to the Gap and Orange Julius, skipping the part where psycho Tuco kills him and takes his drugs

---"Guess we didn't get the beige memo" Walt and Skyler don't fit in at all, in any way at Elliots party (compare it to Walt's birthday, where he wasn't even the center of attention)

---"I'm done, I'm gonna to Oregon or somethin..."-Jesse on Tuco

---Hank- "it's a culture in decline my friend!"
Gomez-"it's a rich and vibrant culture..."
Hank- "come on, it's a car that jumps up and down."

---Veggie bacon

---You got mustard on your shirt......... My friend said she could picture me doing that in that situation

---When Walt is getting a HJ..........as Skyler is on EBay..........

I about wet myself laughing at the scene in season 1 when Crazy 8 (?) was fastened to the support post in the basement and Walt slid him a bucket to use as a toilet followed by a bottle of hand sanitizer sliding across the floor for him to use.
Another great part was Jesse at Lowes shopping for a container that could be used to dissolve a body and Walt makes him try it out for size. I loved how he tried to be inconspicuous while attempting to sit in it.
