Season 2 Episode 7 - Open Thread
Talk about Episode 7, "Negro Y Azul."

Hey, I've never been first before! So - 3-1/2 hrs. to go. Hmmm...
Great writing, who ever is behind it has done a great job with their research. They have the drug culture down, ie - the saint, the "corrido", etc.Yes, the corrido is brilliant, which does not loose much ot its meaning in translation. In case you don't know, every drug dealer that has made it, get's one ;)
DAMN, I just saw turtle's head mounted on a turtles back, DAMM, it exploded!!! OK, I'm awake now, HELLO
DAMN, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!
DAMN, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!
Every time I think I have the story figured out, it surprises me! Like the turtle...yikes! Somebody get some epoxy for that leg teehee!
Jesse gonna get dat!
"This aint Branson..." lol.
Now see, the scary part (about the turtle) is that whoever cut that guy's head off...had to scoop out the brains because that had to be the only place where they'd have been able to put that bomb.
That turtle bomb was a surprise, YO!
No matter what the reasons and politics involved with Hank being transffered...those cops he has to work with aren't laughing now are they?
Kudos to those who predicted Jane (the landlady) and Jesse would get together.
But what about that sneak preview of the next episode...? What is going on? I couldn't make sense of anything: Walt and Hank in a hotel room and then Walt getting a lawyer(?)
That dude's lopped off dome on that tortoise was the shit! Wow!! What's next?
Best line ever: "You are a blowfish."
I loved the use of the National Atomic Museum--it fit in so well with Walt explaining bonds and his pseudonym Heisenberg. There's definitely something very uncertain about Heisenberg. We don't know when he will blow and how much energy he will release. Maybe there's also a metaphor there between atomic chain reactions and Walt's exponential growth of his business.
And notice that when Jesse is explaining his power structure that has him alone at the top, he's standing in front of a display about Soviet Communism.
And boy do they do things differently in Texas.
Awesome !! I hate waiting till next week all the time. I hope Jessi gets the girl.she's hot!
Yeah that guy is gonna need a bandage for his leg that was gnarly!! He was pretty deep with all that sun tzu talk, very realistic!!! I wanna see more of the El Paso crew very funny!!
Kristina - Excellent observation. I did notice a photo of Lenin behind Jesse, but I didn't automatically interpret that as symbolic.
KABOOM!!!!!! That sh*t was awesome!!!!
This show is like Crystal Meth! I'm so hooked!!!!
I just love BB today..I loved the music piece...these guys got the feeling right...by the way in some places in Mexico the "narco-corrido " is not allowed on radio or tv.....jajajaj AMC got it there for all the nation to see...bad bad bad!!!
Freaky! I've never seen anything like this on regular cable TV before.
Hank is really a fish out of water these days. I almost feel sorry for him.
Nice to see the National Atomic Museum on the show. I was there with my family last summer and somehow we are on their mailing list now.
I'm not sure exactly why, but Jane WANTS Jesse. She's got a bit of a tough exterior, but it's all show. Maybe she is rebelling against her father or something.
What was the name of the mexican intro;song and artist?
I was totally not prepared for the exploding head, thought Hank was going to hurl in the car! Really thought it was a cop practical joke on Hank until I saw who the head was. Jesse's starting to believe he can be the next csar, but will his new street rep sink him? The cops know him, his face and all from his "Tuco" arrest.. Maybe the new galpal will keep his cover ?? Interesting to see where that goes. Skyler and the new/old boss are def. going to be together, only question is before or after the baby... Funny to see Hank so out of his element as the new guy, and the butt of the jokes instead of the leader, looks good on him......can't wait for next week.
Freaky! I've never seen anything like this on regular cable TV before.

The tortoise explosion/narc killing has me interested in the Cartel that looks like will be butting heads with Heisenberg and crew. From the setup/bomb and the fact they knew of the exact information that was told to the DEA, this Cartel aren't going to be pushovers, Obviously they are hardcore and to plan something like that requires a lot of coordination/composure. Something Tuco wouldn't have been capable of.
I think Krysten Ritter is going to add a great new dynamic to the show...not to mention she is smokin' hot!
I watched the scene ( several times) where the head on tortoise blew up and I believe how realistic it is.
I think Skyler's old boss was licking his chops in a big way! He's thinking Mr. Happy gonna like to have dat shit! Boy, his secretary gave HIM the stink-eye didn't she?
I'll bet Hank's thinking "What the FUCK am I doing here?? And this was a PROMOTION??" I am now starting to wonder if old Hank's gonna eventually hang it all up? First there was Tuco, now THIS with the severed head of that informant on that turtle? Might be just enough to push him over the edge...
Wow, excellent writing!!
I agree with the other commenter on here, that the use of the atomic museum corresponds well with Walt's personality, the nature of the drug business, especially their "exploding" onto the scene and running the city, as well as the exploding turtle/head.
The writer's of this show are quite deft. Keep it coming !
We're loving it !
I think it would be fascinating to see in a later episode, some kids come into Walt's classroom high, or get caught with his product. That sure would bring the effect of his dealing right to his face.
Anyone agree?
The narco-corrido was by Los Cuates de Sinaloa (they have 3 videos on YouTube). It was entitled "Negro y Azul," i.e., "Black and Blue."
This episode was brilliant.
i think the corrido at the beginning has a foreshadowing aspect to it. it looked like jesse was the new heisenberg. the last scene it looks like jesse stepping over a dead walt like he's surpassing walt.
skylar's new boss man looks like he may be bringing more trouble to the white household & i don't think he wants it w/walt.
OMFG!!!! I am incredibly pretentious when it comes to T.V. I am a HUGE fan of Deadwood, Weeds, Dexter, Californication, Rescue me and Madmen. I never watch network T.V. I'd rather have a hot poker rammed up my ass sideways, it's that painful. I stumbled upon a Breaking Bad first season marathon and became an obsessed fan! I've turned anyone and everyone who will listen onto this show and they are now obsessed. I can't say enough about the writing, the realism and the incredible acting by Bryan Cranston. I am a retired cop and the ATM episode gave me a little post traunatic stress it was so real and so sad, I had a viceral reaction to it. This dramedy is a blueprint for what should be on T.V., it's compelling, brilliant. original and fresh, yo!!!I love the banter between jesse and Walt. They allow an older audience to enjoy the show and a younger hip audience a relatibility as well, I got it bad for Breaking Bad. BTW hank's old lady is a total bitch!!!Love all the others, especially Hank.
There were a number of subliminal messages running through this episode; the mushroom cloud, Linen, the soviet flag, Skyler knocking her and Walt's picture over. It was all foreshadowing the coming events. It was torture. I'm actually voting for Hank to win the battle.
Hank may be in over his head, but he has been blessed. Who needs Sun Tzu when you have God by your side.
Does anyone here see the Tupac imagery of Jesse. Tupac was a small person who puffed up and became this larger than life figure when all his friends agreed that it was to "puff up" against his foes. Eventually he believed his own hype and died.
Like the song said, Walt is dead. He just doesn't know it yet. Now it's getting ugly.
I think the visit to the National Atomic Museum draws this parallel: dropping the nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were justified as leading to a quick end to the war. That mass destruction and violence would prompt a quick surrender from the Japanese.
This is the same thing Walt wanted from Jesse: blowfish intimidation. Crushing spooge's head with the ATM machine would make everyone stand down out of fear, if they thought Jesse did it.
I think Jane, who works part time at "ABQ Ink" as a "Draw-er", asked a customer or two about "Pinkman" and heard the ATM machine rumor.
Jesse has money and power. Girls like that sort of thing. I loved the metaphorical "searching for signal" on the TV as her hand reached for his.
Part of me sees them turning into "Spooge and Skank" at some point in the storyline. Season 4, perhaps?
I'd also like to add: Danny Trejo is THE MAN. I was jacked to see him harassing the DEA with the skymall catalog.
Then came the turtle.
At first, I was disappointed when I saw his head on that turtle.
I then felt relieved as I thought Hank's new co-workers played a prank on him (generic fake head, change the nose and hair just enough to sell it to Hank?), laughing at him as he ran away for air,
Then I needed a change of underwear after the head exploded.
Awesome TV.
Azul in Spanish is blue and blanco is white however in the commentary the director said the Black and White episode. I thought this was a double entendre because the meth Walt and Jesse produce is blue. The series is brilliant and the layers created are fascinating. A true modern day masterpiece that is relevant unlike reality television.
Woohoo! Jesse's gonna score!!
Finally Jesse gets a bit of lovin', and walts getting a very a big head!
Great Episode.
More layers being built. Like Jesse put it "Like Nachos...exponential Growth...LOL"
Hello Danny "Tortuga" Trejo. Goodbye Danny "Tortuga" Trejo. That was a pretty intense scene. Hank is definitely going to need therapy to deal with the post traumatic stress. I could see him coming and home and slapping the shit out of Marie in the next episode or two.
Wondering if Skyler is gonna get some pregnant lovin from her boss....Ewww...
LMAO at the scene with Walt Jr. and Sklyer over the Raisin Bran/ Crunch. I got in the same argument with my wife, so now I have to buy all the cereal....
I think its great that Walt and Jesse want to expand but they really have no idea what they are getting into. I shake my head in disbelief at the carnage that will ensue. Walts Blowfish theory is going to be shot when the Mexican Cartels Great White Shark shows up and pops that blowfish like a water balloon.
I loved when Jesse bought into Walts Knute Rockne speech..." I'm a blowfish, I'm a blowfish, I'm a blowfish.....I"m gonna blowfish this pipe right now....LMAO.......that shit was too funny....
Alright, Jesse got the girl! I sure hope they don't turn into Spooge/Skank in the future.....Jane, for the moment, seems to give a little brightness to Jesse's future.
Overall, weird feeling episode - everything kind of mushroomed out in all directions. Skyler to a new job; Hank to El Paso; the 3 stooges (Skinny Pete, Badger, Clovis) to a new mindset as dealers; Jesse to Jane. After so much focused intensity for the last few episodes, it was kind of a relief.
Did anyone else notice that Jesse was smoking weed rather than meth? After his run-in with Spooge and Skank, their living conditions, and the little kid, does anyone else think Jesse is trying to cut back on the meth? Or was it just because he's at home and he doesn't want to get in trouble with Jane (who probably wouldn't care about weed, but would draw the line at meth)? Maybe Jane will be Jesse's saving grace.
Sorry, meant Combo for the 3 dealers (is that the other guy's name?).
Jamm.54.
In answer to your question, since Jesse is still seeing the image and can hear the sound of Spooges head being crushed the last thing he would want to do is smoke meth. All that will do is keep his brain turned on for a few days and relive the incident. The weed is dulling his mind. Remember he told Walt "All I want to do is forget"
As far as Jesse's meth use, he is what I would call a functional user. He does it occasionally but never every day. he could go weeks or months without doing it and wouldnt' hurt him in the least. I think he smokes weed more than meth anyway. I'm sure Jane will be hitting the weed pipe with him but not the crystal
Oh, geez! I don't usually watch the episode back-to-back, but I HAD to tonight. Hank was--for a little while, anyway--a dufus outsider with the Texas boys. Now the Texas boys are gone. That scene in the desert was completely unexpected. As DRKellogg said, I almost feel sorry for Hank. Almost.
Once again, Jesse so wanted out and Walt came along and thew him under the bus again with his Amway/pyramid business model. Walt is somewhat sheltered from the gritty reality of what he's proposing; his scheme cannot have a good ending and he MIGHT live long enough to deal with the consequences. I say MIGHT because since he completed his first round of chemo, his cough has gotten worse.
Does anyone here have a sense of how much time in storyland has passed since the series began? Skyler is *still* seven months pregnant
I do have a problem with Walt acting like he's launching Jesse into a Junior Achievement business model/project. Is Walt nuts? This is a life-and-death kind of business with the emphasis on death in every facet of it; from the dealers to the users to the competition/cartel. Get a grip, Walt! More killing is on the horizon.
The blowfish example? Jesse will be blowfish, all right, when the cartel gets a hold of him - they'll blow him up.
Is Hank gonna make it in El Paso? After tonite, he looks like the "smart" one for keeping his distance from the turtle, but weren't the majority of the DEA guys on the stake-out blown up? That emptied the office pretty quick, and Hank is one of the few left. Don't think Hank will get out of there soon.....
Good one, Alexis, on your Amway/pyramid analogy...fits Walt's pep talk to a tee!
Yep, an instant classic. "PUFF" and DADDY, Yo..
The 2nd turtle chunk was out of left-field; spectacular. The carnage and music had a visceral feel to me ala "Jacob's Ladder." (Can't wait till WALT hears about it.) And, good for you, JESSIE, you deserve a girl who's not covered in sores, for your 'Uncle of the Year' actions back at the cracked-head's house of horrors. As always...looking forward to Sunday!
Remember when No-Doz and Gonzo turned up dead........and how much Hank loved it? He bragged to the entire station ....."anyone wanna see the photos? on my website....hilarious!".......sending Walt the pics for a gag.......tellin' the cameraman to be sure and get the stub in the picture lmfao......
The old Hank would have loved seeing a decapitated head on a turtle........lmfao........i know i loved it :P
RCH2288 - thanks for the info, I wasn't sure how much of a meth user Jesse is because in other discussions it's come up. He's been referred to as a junkie which I assumed meant he was completely hooked and a heavy user.
I wonder if Tuco was named after the mighty Tuco in The Good The Bad & The Ugly?
It's gonna be a long week.
This episode just exploded (no pun intended) with twists and turns on many different fronts. And the previews...."You need a CRIMINAL lawyer"....OMG!
AMC has the best show on TV and it just keeps getting better.
This show is very addictive. I wish it was commercial free to add to the length. Next Sunday can't come fast enough. I missed next weeks preview, could someone please tell what happend. I would very much appreciate it. Walt is getting out of control. Talking about cornering the market.
DepraveDave I didn't think the head really was any worse than Gonzo's stump. The rest of the office being blown up right in front of Hank, that was horrific. It was filmed almost like a war dream sequence, there was such an air of unreality to it. Hank may have to retire if they're not going to give him any recovery/rehab time for his PTS (if he ever tells anyone about it). I guess the difference is, seeing gore was one thing; coming close to being killed, another. Now it's happened to Hank twice, and that's a whole other ballgame. Hank's really gonna start tripping out after TWO near death experiences.
BurbankBill: your puff and daddy - a crack-up. That's where Jesse's heading with Walt's brilliant blowfish story. Oh brother...
Maybe Jane will help Jesse wise up to Walt. I liked the way she stood up to Walt, and gave him short shrift. Jane may still be the woman who can come between Jesse and Walt. I thought the hand holding was sweet.....and Jesse is in bad need of some sweetness in his life at this point.
FYI: Krysten Ritter is not related to the late John Ritter. Also, her character, Jane Margolis, is in a few episodes according to IMdb.com, but one of them is titled Over. So.....
jamm54 I'm with ya, on the sweetness of the "moment" between Jesse & Jane! It truly was something that made us, here at my house say, "Awwwww!!!" and feel warm & cozy!
Another thing...we'd both mentioned in a previous post/blog, wondering about the translation of the song, "Negro Y Azul."
Many, MANY thanks, to the Director/Writers or whomever decided to, provide the subtitles to the song, in the beginning of this episode!!!
Thanks SO much, for listening & responding to your viewers' requests!
HUGS! =)
jamm54, I agree about Jane and Jesse and the hand-holding. It was subtle, just right. At the end, I kept waiting for her to tell him there's no satellite hooked to the house. But the screen saver on the TV just said "searching . . . " And I thought that was a good note to end on.
Kristina...loved your observations about the Atomic museum and Heisenberg parallel! I thought it was so perfect that he had chosen Heisenberg as his drug 'alias' too...the uncertainty principle certainly applies here!! :)
This show is so well made, I can't believe network TV even exists anymore with shows like this and Mad Men, Big Love out there, they are showing up network TV in a major way! These shows are so fresh and different the 38 CSI's or Law and Order shows that are on, as if those are the only topics to be covered on television...this show had an exploding decapitated head on a tortoise...'nuff said!!!
"Hola DEA" written on the side of the pre-detonation turtle was a great accent.
At first, I also thought Hank's new colleagues were pranking him.
Y'all are technically correct, those who called it a tortoise. ...and I got a premonition something was about to go horribly wrong just before it exploded- "Hola, DEA" !!! It was like, "Hello and welcome to the neighborhood".
Yeah, you can tell the writers, actors, directors, and technicians who are involved in the production of this show are really into their work. It is so good to see something worthwhile on television again. I have "basic cable" and if it weren't for BB, Turner Classics, and just a few good shows on Discovery, History, et cetera, I wouldn't even turn the thing on.
It is so cool that many of you made the connections with Atomic Museum, Heisenberg, covalent and ionic bonds. This show just gets better and better. A show that Science Nerds like me can dig!
Those DEA agents poor Hank is hooked up with really got too comfortable (maybe they need to watch The Godfather and remember the rules ) with the neighborhood and underestimated the very people they are supposed to keep in check
Unless there are new bad guys in town and the turtle was their way of saying "hello" (???)
And now poor Hank is probably stuck down there alot longer than he would like to be, though maybe the street smarts he used back home will be appreciated now by the new boss.
Or not.
This is a whole new interesting "B" story that might carry us through to the end of the season
I haven't read all the other comments and am crunched for time. Just wanted to put out some thoughts before I go do some work this Monday AM and then I am definitely going to come back and watch this one again today.
1- I oddly enjoyed the cheesy Mexican video at the start of the show and thought it was fitting. They probably needed to figure out a quick way to tell the harshness of what Walt is up against with the Mexican Cartel without getting too sidetracked and what better way to do it than a song. The cheesy aspect of it reminded me of a Beck DVD that I have that is so tripping. It came with one of his albums and used cheesy shots and effects on purpose. Enjoyable.
2- the turtle scene was great, first the head riding on the turtle and then the explosion. Hank is definitely up against a whole new enemy now compared to the labs he is used to raiding.
3- Walt wants the "illusion" of toughness and he has Jesse on board now. They are going to "expand." But who's territory are they expanding on? I think we saw with the turtle head explosion. I think the end of the season now will be a huge coming to a head between our gang and the Mexican cartel. Excellent stuff. It will probably be left on a cliffhanger.
4- Skyler- While there was so much going on with the show otherwise, we cannot overlook her. I think those of you that thought she was having an affair might just get their wish, as she may end up with this guy. Think about her mentally. She takes it slow, knowing she will lose her husband from cancer and be alone with her new baby girl. She may or may not cheat on Walt, but she probably will end up with this guy after Walt's body is sitting on the fireplace mantle in a cremation container.
5- Jesse's hookup with the landlady. Many of you said that from the first scene (before it aired and they used that as that week's preview). I don't think this was any real surprise here. I just hope Jesse doesn't tell her too much too soon. Romance has a way of making a guy do stupid things when they are getting some. I am having a hard time envisioning him as p-whipped but it can happen.
6- Preview of next week- Walt and Hank in the hotel room seems odd, however, based on previous previews, it is probably taken out of context when Walt answers "I am more like you than you think." What is probably happening is that Hank is all shook up about the turtle thing and saying "I don't know if I can do this job down here, it is horrible, these guys are rough." He doesn't know what Walt has been through and says, "We are from two different worlds." While we all know they are similar, I don't think Walt is about to answer with "I cook Meth." He is probably going to give him some type of analogy that has to do with science or something about their wives that are sisters. Something non-related and he'll somehow make sense to Hank and make Hank feel better.
In closing- I am a huge horror movie fan and fan of gorey stuff. I like violent, freaky, video games, etc. That scene was right up my alley with the turtle and the explosion. Kind of like the head in the box in Se7en and then some with the explosion. Having all that said, this thing is going to haunt me a little bit for a while for some reason. There is something about be-headings that really does it to me. Like that Danial Pearle beheading video and some of the other crap we have seen out of the Middle East. I think the Mexican drug gangs are just as brutal, which is real life scary since this is right in our own backyard and overflowing into our country.
They did a great job of showing what is coming for Walt and that they won't hesitate to kill him. I wouldn't be surprised if Badger or one of the other top level dealers is killed at some point. Maybe Jesse will find his head at a meeting place.
This is an EXCELLENT show. They keep blowing me away. I can't wait to see what happens.
One more thing, what did you folks think of Jesse's Halloween PJs? We were just talking about the time frame. Could it be Halloween of 2008. That would make sense since they are talking about the economy and all that stuff started in Sept with the bailouts and the bigger layoffs. I mean, I wear my Target Halloween pajamas year round, but I have a feeling now it must be around Halloween in the show. That would make total sense.
More later....
Breaking Bad is an awesome new, odd show - it captures scenes and portrays the scenes and characters very well.
I think Jane the Manager is hot. Sure wish there was a woman like that around here.
I like how Walt Sr. was horrified when he thought Jesse killed Spooge, then when he learned that it wasn't true, he immediately started planning how to turn it to their advantage, the oppotunistic mind at work. Cool how he played it with the Three Stooges: "You didn't hear that from me".
I hope they don't "kill off" any of the Stooges- Badger, Skinny Pete, or the guy with the mohawk. They're good character actors.
Aaron Paul is a great actor.
Everything about this show is great.
Great lines from the show- "Don't try to bullshit a bullshitter"!
"Bonds are what make matter...matter"!
Awesome writing!
WOW WHAT CAN I SAY GREAAAAT
After watching the episode again, I got the impression that Skyler and Ted the boss had something going on previously during her past employment there, when after he asked her to do lunch with him "Just like old times". She obviously didn't tell her sister with the big yap any juicy details of an affair, just saying he was drunk and all hands at a Christmas party.
Hard to say what's gonna happen here: She WANTS to be a devoted (and pregnant) wife and mother, but at the same time on one side you have her boss, a divorced, good looking guy who owns a company with biggy-bucks and on the other, a broke, failure, somewhat spineless schoolteacher of a husband with terminal cancer who appears to be living in his own little world lately. Who knows? Ted the boss may go to lay one on her someday, and she may turn him down flat, which would probably mean an end to her job.
Excellent show on so many different levels.
Here are some comments from this episode and next.
1) Skylar would not hook up, not in her character to do so. She has a strong sense of right/wrong. Just a good side road for future episodes.
2) Jesse will hook up, and I think she will be a major brain in the operation. They have portrayed her as very smart. She will also help straighten Jesse out.
3) Hank, what is going on with the last few weeks hints that something is wrong with him? Three different times he has been sick or something wrong- you have the beer bottle issue, the elevator issue and the turtle head. All pointing to something bigger is going on with his health.
When you throw in the teaser that Walt may finally confess to Hank he is a dealer- maybe Hank becomes a DEA insider protecting them and collecting cash. Future plot line of Hank going after the cartel to protect Walt.
If Hank is also deathly ill, he may join Walt's cash craze for his family.
4) I do think you will see some path crossed with a student at school using the blue meth. Only reason that they sent him back to school. It could also be Walt gets some action with the hot principle lady who said she was there to help in "any" way.
RW
The marked ATM money will get Walt busted.
I'm thinking MAYBE Jane is the daughter of
a drug lord.
"Skylar would not hook up, not in her character to do so. She has a strong sense of right/wrong. Just a good side road for future episodes."
Her "strong sense" of right and wrong was thrown out of the window when she started smoking while pregnant, and took a job surrounded by welding fumes. Which, by the way, she probably lied to Walt about with the company "going green" comment, judging by her sudden nervousness and change in mannerisms. Anybody else get the idea that this baby is going to be all screwed up because of her carelessness and selfishness?
Another top-notch episode. The song at the beginning was great. I also thought the El Paso SOB's were pranking Hank for a minute, the head looked a lot like one of those Halloween masks. But when it blew up - WOW!! Love the character development with Hank - he's not just an overconfident windbag after all.
I think there was something more going on with Skyler and her old boss. Why else would he hire a 7 months pg (at least) woman on the spot for a supervisor job? Very interesting development there. And he's divorced - how convenient.
No, I don't think the baby will be messed up.
The "welding fumes" was not the real issue. They were in front of Walt Jr. I saw it as them addressing the issue of the Christmas party indirectly.
I was not saying she is perfect, just that her character has been the one to stick to a value of some kind- see the shop lifting with her sister.
But, that is what is great about the show. So much is going on, you have to wait and see really to figure out what is behind it. Rarely is the outcome an obvious plot direction.
Rob
By the way, ATM stands for "Automatic Teller Machine", so saying "ATM machine" is redundant, just like saying "hot water heater" or "the same exact thing" is redundant- write it right and say it right!
I mis-spelled a word in an earlier post- should have been spelled "oppoRtunistic".
Everybody needs an editor!
...and "Azul" is Espanol for Blue!
No THAT was a good episode..
I'm tired of the soft 'family' stuff and I'm glad they are getting down the dirty side of meth and how the cartels are starting to influence American cities..
They kept it so gangster on those DEA guys.. LOL
Man this show is addictive, I've been watching since the beginning of Season 1. Waited through the writers strike for Season 2 to start and its been a great ride so far. Bringing Danny Trejo in this last episode was a good move, He's a Great actor, too bad his part was so brief. Watching Hank struggle in his new post in El Paso was hilarious, he's trying so hard to maintain and try to fit in. The Booby trapped Tortoise was a new one, kind of like a four legged IED, never saw that one coming! Walt was great, not acknowledging to Jessie killing the Spooge by way of ATM Machine was perfect and has given Jessie serious Street cred now. Jane entering into Jessie's life, maybe she can help straighten him out a little, provided he dose not screw that one up. Skyler taking a job was a nice touch too, helps expand her role and sets up new directions for her character. Looking forward to next Sunday night already...
RW said: "Bringing Danny Trejo in this last episode was a good move, He's a Great actor, too bad his part was so brief. "
Maybe, maybe not. Remember him saying "I go slow, but I always win"? What if the head was just a mask with a bomb in it? What if Tortuga was just playing the DEA boys? What if he's really a cartel boss? What if, what if? That's what's so great about BB, you just never know.
The landlord hottie (is it Jane?) definitely is going to be involved in their operation.
In episode 6, she tells Jesse that she knows people that could have him out by the dumpster if he messed up.
She's got connections to hard core people... who could possibly be protection for them.
Another interesting thing I noticed is that she told Jesse she did not have any tattoos b/c it was too big of a commitment. That makes me think they'll have problems later on with her committing to a relationship.
Also, it was interesting that Jesse said to Jane, that his TV (good call on the "searching for signal" parallel) is the kind that makes the blacks really black.
Black and blue: the blue meth, and the black is the dark side of this drug dealing life. The head exploding, etc.
Also notice that when "Heisenburg" goes to meet up with drug dealers he is wearing all black and his black hat.
Man, this show has so many layers, I could watch it every day!!!!
I LOVE THIS SHOW !!!!!!!
Best show ever made !!
The music video freaked me out though, b/c we can't have Walt dying too soon! He's the man !
Wow, it sucks we have to wait a whole week for the next episode... I can't wait !!
If you would rather be surprised by the show when it airs don't read this.
If you want to know more about what is going on in the show and possibly a few tells of what they have up their sleeves, you should really listen to the podcasts. They tell of the reason for the video and who in the mythology of the show actually made it. Apparently the drug cartel that is Walt's competitors made the video and Walt isn't really going to die.
Outstanding show... Walt and Jesse are about to paint the town RED and there isn't going to be any paint used. It was great to see Danny do a guest appearance in the show, he's a great actor. Knowing there will be a season three is almost saddening because of the months of torture waiting for it to arrive. I know Vince and the rest of the staff is going to make the last episode go out with a bang and then we'll be biting nails waiting for season three.
I think Jane's an undercover informant. She works at a tattoo parlor, but has no tattoos? How often does that happen? Not exactly great advertising for the business.
Pretty nice house for someone who works a little bit at a sideline job. Daddy has $$ and doesn't require more $$ output from Jane except to rent the place? Either Jane's an informant or she's connected to the business herself, in a remote way, either illegally or legally, but she herself is clean.
Which could be trouble for Jesse either way. Too bad, too, because I do think there was an attraction there on both sides. Jesse needs someone decent in his life, very badly.
Skyler's whole situation was kind of interesting, and very subtle. Interesting because she just up and gets a job without consulting Walt. And also, interesting, because she goes back to a place where she had some kind of attraction/thing going on with the boss (about the last thing a married pregnant woman would do - go back to work for a guy who was hittin' on you).
I think Skyler is laying the groundwork for her future as a widow without really thinking of it that way. The stakes got higher with the boss being divorced, and obviously still attracted to her. The fly in the ointment may have been his executive secretary who might be sleeping with him or the reason his marriage finally headed to divorce court. The secretary seemed a little too peeved at Skyler's initiative - her attitude had a hint of jealousy to it. The bad part is the boss just may be a serial cheater, and certainly no Walt as far as fidelity, but great financial security and not bad looking either. Desperate times call for desperate measures.. Go, Skyler!

Awesome !! I hate waiting till next week all the time. I hope Jessi gets the girl.she's hot!"
You have ADHD too? That's why I "hate waiting till next week all the time". And nearly everything else too.
Jess and the girl? I say yes! And he deserves it, damn-it.
He sure does, Unforgiven!
{To the tune of a children's chant..)
Here-we-go-round the severed head
Pop! goes the cops!
Jane is on the series at least until episode 12 according to IMDB.com.
Excellent!
Rob
jimanaz - I think you may be on to something there. It did seem very suspicious that Danny Trejo would show up for one episode in essentially ONE scene only to be killed off.
Why hire a fine actor for such a brief and insignificant role? It would be like Raymond Cruz as Tuco never showing up again after he beat up Jesse.
And with Jess and the girl - it reminds me of a verse from this old Johnny Rivers song:
To me, you were the best greatest thing
That this boy had ever found
And girl, it's hard to find nice things
On the poor side of town
And to whoever thought they might end up like spooge & douche -- "Boooo" Jess has really been backing off the product lately, it seems. Jess is getting more "business like" latelyif you ask me. (I know, no-one did) *grin*
Jimanaz,
I thought the same thing last night right before I went to bed. It wouldn't make sense for this show to have Danny Trejo on for only 5 minutes of screen time. I think we are in for a surprise when he shows up again.
also can someone else tell me how Walts meth has made it all the way down into Mexico already? Did Tuco send it down there when he was in charge? If that is the case then wouldn't the cartel already know that Tuco is the one who supplied the Blue Meth?
Since Tuco has been out of the picture, Walt and Jesse have just been dealing at a street level so I don't know how else the cartels would even have a hint as to who Heisenburg is?
Any thoughts would be appreciated
I noticed a few shady things with the Skyler/former boss relationship. Although Ted was very clearly not wearing a wedding ring in their first conversation (his hands were very obviously shown) Skyler pretended not to know he was divorced, doing a very poor job of acting surprised. She told the secretary that she had quit for "family" reasons, then told Walt she had quit because of fumes; it seems to me from the way she fixed her hair before going into the office and the hesitation over putting up a photo with Walt in it at her desk that she and Ted had an affair in the past. We've seen an interesting change in Skyler since season 1; originally she was this caring, devoted wife, who we have seen the darker side of in season 2 with the smoking and now the possible past affair.
I loved the scene with Jessie and Jane, I think he deserves a nice girl. It will definitely prove interesting to see how his drug dealing affects their relationship; he may want to get out for her, but then finds he is in too deep. Also, could she end up being a pawn when they get in trouble with the other cartels? Previously, Jessie never really understood Walt's panic over these shady people coming after his family, but now that Jessie has someone in his life that he cares about, he might identify more with Walt in terms of keeping the drugs out of his personal life.
Great episode, the scene in El Paso is STILL haunting me.
I just want to write that I think it's amazing how intense this show can be even when it comes to a set-up episode.
I call this episode a set-up because instead of showing us confrontations and major plot developments, they set up the confrontations/developments.
There's definitely a lot on the horizon, as is discussed above. My point is this show doesn't ever seem to have a filler episode. Every hour is intense, even the set-ups.
I loved the opening.. the writers are getting into the culture out here.
and the turtle..omg .. at first I though they were pulling Hank's chain because of the agent who had the statue on his desk.. then bam..
Another well done episode :)
Great thoughts on the head on the turtle being fake. That would make sense. The only other way that the cartel would know to do such a thing in such an effective way is if they had the room bugged. While the dude may go by "Turtle," the cartel guys wouldn't know he told the cops that while working with them unless the room was bugged. That line stood out in Hank and all their minds I'm sure. I think there might be something to that thought. Add in him saying something about always getting his way slowly or whatever.
How would they make it look so real though? Drug cartels don't hire Hollywood FX specialists. With all those DEA guys standing around, don't you think they have seen decapitated heads before? They know what it would look like. It would have to be done really well to trick them before it blew up. But it makes a lot of sense. Because how would they otherwise know to use a turtle?
As far as the love interest of Jesse. I don't think she is working as an informant. That is too coincidental that Jesse picked that rental of all places and it all fell into place for the cops by him moving in next to her. Could she be a drug lord's daughter? Sure. Likely? I personally don't think so. Smart? maybe, or maybe just doesn't say much and does a lot of thinking. Somebody said it seems odd she doesn't work much. But if her dad is rich, she may not have to. We don't know her back story yet.
I too was waiting for her to say, "Jesse, there is no dish on the roof, so of course the satellite won't connect." The hand taking was a nice touch instead.
Yeah, I don't want the story of Jesse & Jane to turn out to be a Spooge/Skank scenerio either. Someone had mentioned that possibility either last week or in another discussion; that's why I said I hope it didn't go that route. It wouldn't hurt to have some lovin' in BB just for relief (comic, romantic or otherwise) from all the darkness. But, especially because Jesse has gotten so few breaks in the storyline.
Like Scotty, I too am pressed and haven't read all the comments, but wanted to add a few thoughts of my own...
1. I think it's interesting in how Hank is moving up the ladder in the DEA for basically being a lucky bastard. He was "lucky" to end up face to face with Tuco and living to tell about it. He was viewed as a hero and moved up because of it. Now he is clearly in a little over his head in El Paso, but get lucky once again, by not getting blown to pieces. Suddenly now is colleagues that were skeptical of him are now either dead or seriously injured. He will come out of this episode smelling like roses once again because of luck, not merit.
2. I also think it's interesting how Hank and Walt are going to be facing the same enemy (cartel), while they themselves are enemies and don't know it yet. Going to be an interesting dance. Kinda like a reverse love/drug triangle if that makes any sense at all.
3. I still don't know what the landlady sees in Jesse. All she knows is that he's a troubled individual, a bad dresser, and is clearly up to something. No real draw here for a girl who is clearly out of his league. I agree in someone's assessment earlier that she caught wind of Jesse new street rep and is now drawn to that. That or like Jam said, drug informant. Something not right here. Opngate, I didn't even recall the dumpster comment, but that also makes a ton of sense. She obviously is draw toward the drug biz for whatever reasons, whether it be legit or as a narc.
4. I'd like to think Skylar loves Walt too much to cheat on him. But she's in a bad place in her marriage right now, and Walt hasn't exactly been there for her. Obviously pregnancy isn't a turn off for the new boss. I suspect he has a fetish for it. Anyone else notice that all the "sex" scenes in this show are always from behind? No missionary love ever. Being that she's preggo, the way the boss seems to admire her ass, and with the history of sex scenes in this show, a little "bend over a desk" office encounter may fit right in the writers' plans.
5. I hear ya skottey about the decap thing. Something about a head with no body gets the gore wheels a turnin'. Add in some dismembered limbs and one unlucky turtle and they really got my attention there.
Just a thought but maybe Skyler is planning for her future with life after Walt. I know it seems morbid but if Walt only has 18 months to live then maybe Skyler is getting a job for the rough months ahead and in the meantime, her new boss and her probably had something awhile back and thought "If only we weren't married" Well, he no longer is married and she may be a widow real soon. She is still young and with a baby on the way........
Sklyer always seemed like a planner so I wouldn't put it past her.
laz3000 - Thank You! I didn't know about the podcasts and am now really into Breaking Bad Insider #207 and looking forward to hearing the rest. Thanks for the heads up on them.
Great episode, love where the show is going. The Mexican cartels are very brutal, violent and unforgiving. It's gonna get ugly. (I agree with a previous poster in that there really is something about beheadings that shake you up). I am not sure what was crazier the head on the tortoise, or having it explode and take out a couple guys. Loved the narco-corrido by Los Cuates de Sinaloa. Great job!
BEST EPISODE so far.
Brian Interesting observation about all the sex scenes, even Jesse (with Windy Wendy). Could be a tv censorship thing, but it is weird, to tell the truth - all doggie style.....
Or, because everyone is lying/withholding (Walt, Jesse), don't want to look their partner in the eye....
Just finished watching my weekly second viewing of the show to absorb everything.
I then watched the preview for next week like 10 times, pausing, and trying to figure it out. I think we are being thrown a curve ball again like we were a few weeks ago. They make it look like the DEA is really onto Walt and he has had to hire a criminal defense attorney. Walt and Jesse (presumably) also bag somebody at gunpoint with the masks on by the RV, which oddly looks like that attorney on pause. They show the attorney talking on a cellphone saying, "if you are going to disucss my client, clue me in," and then it shows a different scene of Hank, as if he is saying that to him.
I think that maybe like some speculated would happen, Walt's money from the ATM Machine (redundant, haha) was found out and he'll come up with a good excuse OR maybe he is being charged for the nudity bit in the supermarket. I just have a feeling the preview is deceptive again. But, it makes me more eager to see next week's show. It looks like a good one, as usual.
Where to start!!
In this episode you have a severed human head on the back of a tortoise, an explosion that blows the leg off of a DEA agent. Skyler starting a new job with a guy she obviously has a history; a new narcocorridor music video starring Walter White, and a new love interest for Jesse.
Has there ever been another TV program that has packed so much into such a short timeframe?
Did you notice the symbolism throughout this episode. Check it out. Early in Sunday's episode of "Negro y Azul," there's a shot of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) extending a bond from nitrogen to oxygen on a whiteboard, creating a connection where one didn't exist before. Walt's trying to explain chemistry to a student who'd rather just get a better grade so he doesn't have to go to summer school, trying to tell him how bonds are what makes 'matter...matter,' a lovely unintended pun that says so much about this episode and Breaking Bad in general. The notion of bonds forming between elements or between people unites everything in a rather quiet episode of the show. It even concludes with a beautiful shot of one person reaching out a hand to another, tentatively forming that new connection.
The bond between Walt and Jesse has been evolving all season, changing from the simple needs-based relationship it was at the show's beginning, (Walter needed someone to connect the meth he could produce to street-level distribution: Jesse needed someone who could cook better meth).
I think Jesse (Aaron Paul) may have said it best when talking with his foot soldiers about their ever expanding drug business.
"Layered like Nachos," he told them, and that could also be said for what's happening on this series.
Is it SUNDAY yet??
I think the band doing the saga on hiesneberg or whatever his name is was great, just really started watching a few shows back. having moved to the desert im getting into the show, but he could use some worthless javelinas showing up, like the ones at my place. the new girl is a cuttie man!!!!
Since Hank has to be away, I'll bet Gomez is the one who does the footwork on the ATM money and makes the connection. ABQ DEA may be slow, but they ain't stupid!
Jesse -- and the writers -- needs to think quicker on his/their feet. When the dude drives by on the Harley and calls him Pinkham, he should have spun a story about how Walt was his foster parent, and both he and his bio parent -- hence the 2 different names -- kicked him out of the house because both were chemists and kicked him out of the house because he didn't "apply himself" -- even though he had chem talent -- and what he really wanted to be was a white rapper, and he was good but not good enough to enter the music scene, so he has 2 feet, each in a separate grave. And if he had said that -- torutred artist effect that so many fall for -- would have made the scene at the end where they both hold hands waiting for the satellite linkup more believable. Maybe the writers haven't been in that situation, but for those of us who have, you know you gotta be quick. Otherwise, fantastic.
On the subject of "Write it Right" and Say it Right:
People, you "marry", you don't "get married".
When it's used as a verb, it's something you do with intention, of your own will, as opposed to letting something be done to you.
I feel there isn't going to be any connection by the DEA and the ATM's ... it's kind of a case closed.
No big huge fat bag of blue meth to pull them in, they had a tweaked out skank as the perp
Does anyone really know if ATM dough is kept up with by serial numbers, if so that's sure is a very large amount of tracking that would have to be done. Do the banks and LE even have that kind of manpower, I doubt it.
Yeah , Jane's Dad could be some sort of drug lord, but not everyone in NM deals drugs, we do have some legitimate businesses here too. :)
It is rather intriging on the beheading given the recent crap that has been going on down in
Wa-zoo lately.
Just a quick observation--did anyone else notice that Walt isn't wearing green shirts anymore?
Jesse isn't like a horned nose troll or anything, pretty good looking guy really.
And Jane might of really liked someone being honest ... no doubt she has heard a few bs lines before.
Zia has probably got a good point about the ATM, but wouldn't be surprised if Gomez makes the connect- he seems like a good hard-working detective. I like how he always has a witty comeback for Hank's BS. Great acting!
Yes, I know. The one question is:
"Don -- what are you listening to right now?"
[Answer]: Stevie Ray Vaughn
Thank you Walt for the blowfish analogy.
I finally understand why Jessie's wardrobe is too big for him. By doing so he avoids shredding his clothes Hulk style when he expands 4 to 5 times his size. There's a reason for everything...
mark my words.. the girl will be instrumental in the growing of the business... she will be jesse's brains.. but in the end, she will be the yoko ono between jesse and walt.. the cause of them going down.. also, walts brother in law will be in cahoots with them sooner or later and will also be in cahoots with them, clearing their way to the top of the druglord ranks.. at the end, jesse will die, the girl will be locked up, and walt will walk free.. the continue his happy life.. cancer free.. or not.. but his wife is gonna cheat on him.. and his son will sooner or later be a meth user.. so not so happy after all..
Rofl tre75... That's an epic prediction
What's the matter Hank.....you act like youve never seen a decapitated head on a turtle before!"
hahahahahahaha sh*t talkers........
That's a very interesting prediction tre75 - what an ending that would be!
It is Monday night and I am already jonesing for this show.
It is time to wind down and watch some TV and go to bed with the wife. What do I watch? I've already watched this excellent breaking bad twice. Nothing else comes close. The rest of TV is boring. Thanks for doing this to me Vince.
I can't imagine what Hank's going to say on his blog this week. How he wants the brains prepared? Fried or sauteed?
I can't not believe how good this show is...definately a step above Season 1 (which was still good). Most shows have some lull moments where you have to usually wait 3 or 4 episodes to actually move the story along *cough The SOPRANOS cough* but this definately isnt the case with BB. Each and every episode is a complete revelation and ultimately leads the series in different directions. This show is becoming way complex and we, as viewers, are ultimately benefitting the most because we got in early! I predict that this will become the next Wire, and everyone will take too long to realize what a great show they have been missing...it is too bad we only get to see it once a week = (
I am indebted to the writers, cast, and crew of this great show...keep it coming!
Thanks should most especially go to the handful of "suits" in charge of AMC channel who gave this show a greenlight in the first place
In another year or so, this whole thing will go into syndication (Spike and TNT ( I have to assume) are already making plans and watching each episode, taking notes to see where their own particular bosses will order a cut here and there for sex and language) and rest assured there are few cable channels out there (still) that will allow these episodes to show totally uncut in syndication
But it all started with a couple of folks at the top at AMC giving the nod and handing over the money so that a crew and locations and episodes could be filmed and risking a possible backlash because of the plot points. (A high school teacher ( !!!!!! )hooking up with a street wise ex-student to cook meth for fast bank )
Thankfully, it all worked out. So.....thank you- thank you -thank you -thank you
There's little else on my 120 channels worth watching
Layered, yes. I just re-watched it again after reading these messages and saw a whole lot of things I didn't see before. (Thanks, people.)
In addition to being sharply written and brilliantly edited, Breaking Bad has GREAT casting. The roles of Walt, Jessie, Skyler, Walt, Jr., Marie and Hank are clearly perfectly cast.
In fact, I think the same goes for the secondary characters.
Viva Heisenberg
Lets get the franchise machine started.
You know, there have been several hit shows, (MONK being one with a half dozen novels so far) that have gone into publishing novels based on the show.
I think Breaking Bad could do this to a certain extent with a series of books that would expand on many of the "B" characters as well as tell additional stories about Walt and Jesse that just can't "fit" into the current schedule
They might consider this for the break between seasons by maybe releasing 3 paperbacks that the fans can read while waiting for the next season
I'm sure there are already a number of writers who HAVE a story or two to tell but won't be able to write for the show due to the limited number of episodes available. But if this "novel" franchise gets picked up maybe they COULD tell their stories
Also---- another point to discuss......
What do you all think will happen on that fateful day when Walt goes to Skyler and shows her all the money piled up a dozen in the garage and (finally) explains the whole thing to her...
......do you think she'll accept the money?
.....and if she doesn't, will Walt think that all the time and effort and danger he has gone through would have been worth it all?
.....perhaps things will just flat out go "bad" for all the characters anyway and Walt's original plan will have been for nothing in the end anyway
If the writers take that route it would be a great metaphor about the effects of meth on a community...wasted lives
anyway-- just my 2 cents
Uh what piled up money?
That is what is brilliant about this, even though he is doing it to get the cash, he really is not. Walt has to keep paying for treatments, hence the motivation to sell more. Because he has nothing to show for all his efforts.
Rob
Skottey,
I asked this question a few days ago but since there appear to be no takers I pose the question directly to you because I enjoy your insights about this show.
How would the Mexican Cartels know about Heisenburg? Did Tuco move his product down into Mexico? Would that even make sense? And if Tuco did, wouldn’t Tuco’s name be the one attached to the Blue Meth since he was the distributor? Since Tuco died Walt and Jesse have just been dealing at a street level and very little at that so I can’t see how the cartel would know who Heisenburg is. And since he is moving very little product in New Mexico I don’t see how they would feel disrespected by him or even be on their radar.
What are your thoughts on this? Am I reading too much into this. Was the Narco Corrido a song that should be used in the future tense??
One thing I don't understand- when they show large amounts of $$ changing hands, it's usually in rolls
instead of stacks. Never seen that before. Seems like it would be bulkier, less easy to count and handle, so...why?
If Jessie is a blowfish, Walt is a blowhard. He definitely knows chemistry and can think on his feet, but he has no idea what he's getting into. He has no awareness of the danger he places Jessie in, and doesn't seem to be notice or care that Jessie is happy with the current situation and really doesn't have the personality or violent nature to be a drug kingpin. Walt is very childlike in his insistence that based on the ATM incident, Jessie's crew of knuckleheads can steamroll into the rest of Albuquerque. Where's the muscle?
There have been different theories on this blog as to what's behind the name "Heisenberg". How about the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle in physics? Actually, instead of overanalyzing, I really believe that Walt just thought of the name off the top of his head.
RCH- remember Tuco had a couple of cousins driving up to take them to Mexico, so he probably got a sample to them somehow. I have no idea how the business end of the black market works, but I'm guessing Walt and Jesse's plan for "expansion" is going to draw all kinds of unwanted attention.
Does anyone know the name of the actress who played the secretary in episode 7? I feel like I've seen her before, and have been trying to place where.
jtp...I'd forgotten about Tuco's cousins driving up from Mexico. As Tony Soprano would've said, "Da memory on you!!"
Baker--
I stand corrected (though I was being hypothetical)
You are right-- he's burning through alot of cash and I would think he hadnt expected to and this is fueling his anger
But like all businesses, you have to spend money to make money and you have to keep an eye on overhead and be sure you hire the right employees and know your target demographic customer base and have advertising
Now, SOME of this is working out for Walt, like the advertising. Jesse's newfound rep as a killer is sure to help them in the shorterm. Though eventually they WILL need to back up the rep with some teeth.
But nearly everything else Walt's doing (for the "business") is being done without alot of thought going in--
It's going to be interesting to see many of these dominoes fall down over the course of the rest of the season
JTP
I do remember that Tuco had cousins that also were involved in his dealings from Mexico. Even if Tuco did give them some of the product to move down in Mexico it still doesn't make sense for the Cartel to be interested in Heisenburg since Tuco was the distributor and he only sold 6 pounds to Tuco in total. If Tuco's base was in New Mexico I dont' know why he would move it back down to Mexico.
I tell you this is really bothering me....LOL
I need a reasonable explanation. Maybe I need to contact Vince Gilligan about this.??
Uno Momento Por Favor I just watched the behind the scenes for episode 7 and Vince Gilligan begins with something like this "this episode is called Negro y Azul -- black and white and thats blah blah. Small point I know but Negro y Azul is Black and Blue. Small point, just the name of the episode.
In Walt's first meeting with Tuco at his office (when he bombed it with mercury), he introduced himself as Heisenberg. There were a number of Tuco's henchmen/people standing around to hear Walt give his name. I'm sure between them and Tuco, the name filtered back onto the streets and back to Mexico before they were all rounded up by the DEA after Tuco's death.
So Walt is filling Jesse with all this false confidence with the 'blowfish' speech. It's this false confidence that prompts our young hero to come clean with Jane about how he's not really named Jesse Jackson, how Walt isn't really his dad and then invites her to watch his new flat screen TV. I think Jane in her own way, is just as rootless as Jesse; she's just channeled her rootlessness into something more societally acceptable (she's a tatoo artist, or, as Jesse puts it, a "good drawer")
When these two lost people sit down in front of that TV in Jesse's big, empty apartment on two patio chairs, facing its blue glow, Jesse babbling about how it makes the black look really black, you begin to realize just how alone they are. And then Jane reaches across the gap between their chairs, a gap that's very small, like the gap between atoms, but might as well be the size of that erupting mushroom cloud, and silently takes Jesse's hand, Jesse takes hers, and the two faced the blue screen, the words, "Still Searching" displayed on it. Jesse and Jane ARE still searching for some sort of purpose. And maybe as some have pointed out Jane will be Jesse's salvation.
IS IT SUNDAY YET???????
People have been talking about why the name Heisenberg is being used. I think more than anything it's just a nod to the viewers in the audience who know some chemistry/physics. It's definitely fitting, given the uncertainty of Walts situation.
Also, I would like to add the I'm appalled by the cruelty shown towards animals in this episode. Poor turtle!
tuttle300-
What about those of us that don't read books because we don't like to read or don't have enough time to read?
I hope they don't do books because I won't have time to read them and I'll feel like I'm missing something. They would maybe assume you know something from the books and go over the heads of everybody that didn't read the books.
I have probably six feet worth of stacks of magazines I haven't had time to read in my backlog. I also have probably ten books on my "to read" list. I don't need any more books, as much as I love this show :)
RCH2288-
I think the Mexican cartels probably have connections in every city in the country for their own pot and cocaine distribution networks. At least in the southwest, if not all major cities. Since Heisenburg has a reputation for cooking the best shit ever, and he is competing with them directly or indirectly, I don't find it unusual that they know him by name, but without a face.
Remember, even the DEA, including Hank, has got word off the street about "Heisenburg." They too don't have a face but they know the name because of his rep as cooking such good shit.
jtp-
the money roles are probably symbolic for lots of money changing hands. It is more so an easy way to show the audience that it is a lot of money, as opposed to a flat stack. I don't know anything about drug distributorship in real life, but I'll bet they use regular flat stacks as opposed to rolled up cash in real big drug trades.
--
While I think of it-
regarding the doggie style that has been brought up by people. I think that is symbolic of power of a man over a woman, of who is in control. Speaking for myself without getting into too much detail, the women I have known (either sexually or by way of conversation) like doggie least. Men love it. I would say that men are in control during doggie, women are in control on top (cowgirl), and it is pretty equal during missionary style.
Also, the part about not looking them in the eyes might have some merit too. Doggie in a way is less intimate than other positions. I think they are just showing power and control. Maybe they will have a scene of Jesse and Jane where they are more intimate, shown doing it missionary style to symbolize that they are close and it is turning into something.
Or maybe it just looks better on camera doing it doggie style, like the rolls of money. TV is visual. It has to look good.
Not thinking.... I meant rolls... not roles... I should proof read.. haha.
Anybody else notice the comment count this week? It barely topped one hundred earlier in the season. Let's see if we can top 200 this week and get more fans involved.
john in portland said "Does anyone know the name of the actress who played the secretary in episode 7? I feel like I've seen her before, and have been trying to place where."
Perhaps you took her home from a bar. You know, 10 at 2, 2 at 10... her name is Susan Smithers and she hails from Portland Oregon, or is it Maine?
Wicked, skottey, you're wicked! LOL
skottey Oh god, I hadn't read the comment about the sexual acrobatics debate before I wrote the last comment you made to John in Portland about the actress. LOL
Skottey
Using my own example (the Monk series of novels) I think they use the same characters but stories that dont interfere with the regular flow of the televised episodes- though they are available for fans who want additional material, I doubt that anyone not reading them, they are missing anything if they choose to just watch the show.
It was just a wild thought anyway. Monk and BB are, of course, two different animals and maybe a book series wouldn't work considering the linear -serialised aspect of the storytelling of BB whereas with Monk, you could watch nearly any episode out of order and still enjoy the show

this is just a suggestion to the moderator of this forum-- maybe they could do up something similar to what other fan forums do and allow for mutliple subject lines

Can't believe I'm addressing the doggie topic, but here goes:
While I do concur with some of what Skottey is saying, let me just say that when you're dealing with a pregnant belly, it is a hell of a lot easier to do it from behind. In the case of Wendy and Jesse, he was paranoid and wanted to be able to look out the window. Wendy didn't care; she was doing it as payment.
Also, when Walt and Skyler had sex in the car, I think she was in a superior position, so that time wasn't doggie style
I'd just call it a coincidence, mostly related to Skyler's pregnancy.
DRKellogg said: " I'd just call it a coincidence, mostly related to Skyler's pregnancy."
I think you're on to something here. The only other times I can think of a sexual encounter happened from behind while Walt was trying to ram Skyler through the fridge, and then in season one, not sure the episode but Walt had just realized he was AWAKE, and he again approached Skyler from behind. And Skyler shreaks "Walt, you ordered the "Extenz". LOL Makes total sense with the pregnancy angle.
I dont know if anyone noticed but in the second scene at the Atomic museum Werner Heisenberg's name was mentioned in the automatic voice from one of the exhibits. I think Sneaky Pete heard it.
Ok -- 10 point bonus. Who sings the song with these lyrics:
It's okay in the day I'm staying busy
Tied up enough so I don't have to wonder where is he
Got so sick of crying
So just lately
When I catch myself I do a 180
I stay up clean the house
At least I'm not drinking
Run around just so I don't have to think about thinking
That silent sense of content
That everyone gets
Just disappears soon as the sun sets
This face in my dreams seizes my guts
He floods me with dread
Soaked in soul
He swims in my eyes by the bed
Pour myself over him
Moon spilling in
And I wake up alone
BTW I just saw a episode of Quantum Leap from the 1980's and Guess who was on it playing a pregnant woman? Yep SKYLAR
Ultra bonus:
Who did the song => The Unforgiven?
(Hey - I'm just wasting time 'till next week. Got a better idea?)
And the answer is...
Amy Winehouse
The other answer is:
Metallica
After watching Episode 7, I now think of tuttle 300 as turtle 300
Anyone get this joke:
I got kicked out of the Boy Scouts for eating Brownies!
I've been waiting for another man to come into Skyler's life. Things with her and Walt seemed to have calmed down a bit since earlier in the season, but there were clear signs in this episode pointing towards an affair. She lied about the "welding fumes" and never told Walt that Ted sexually harassed her, which could either mean she was embarassed about it... or is attracted to him. Now that he's divorced and Walt is so distant, this could lead to a romance between the two of them, unfortunately. Walt doesn't seem aware of it, but if he doesn't stay connected to the family, he will lose them.
I've started to find Walt really, really becoming unlikeable. The encounter with the student, and when he coerced Jesse into continuing with the drug deals bothers me. It seems like Jesse's wanted out so many times, and Walt always brings him back in. (Though my favorite line of the episode is, "Who messes with the blowfish? Nobody!") The stuff in El Paso was horrifying. I started crying during the explosion. The way it was filmed was so dark and warped, they did a great job with that scene.
I cannot wait to see how this season ends!!!
Oh and has anyone seen Fight Club? The ending scene with Jesse and Jane reminded me of the end of that movie.
I sound like such a teenaged girl (fitting, because I am) but that scene made me so happy =]
I'm so happy that Jesse's found someone like her. I don't think she's an informant at all, but I definately see some sort of clash between them when she finds out about his real job.
greentealeaves --
Fight Club? Is on On Demand?
Next question... is it free?
I don't think Jane will turn out to be a informant...Jess needs some romance :)
Badger is the one I think will end up getting them busted
RCH2288 said: I need a reasonable explanation. Maybe I need to contact Vince Gilligan about this.??"
Here['s my feeble attempt in Vince's absence.
The drug business is competitive just like any other business. They keep track of what the other guy is doing just like Burger King keeps an eye on McDonalds. When Walt and Jesse's blue shit hit the streets in quantity, the competition felt it and had their street level people find out what they could. I would doubt that any of their product found it's way south of the border because the meth market is here, not in Mexico, but there's no doubt that someone with cartel connections knows it's out there.
I must have watched that scene with the tortoise exploding a half dozen times. What a great show. Shame on HBO for turning it down.
I can't believe the actor who plays Walt is the same guy who played the dentist who "converted to Judiaism for the jokes" on Seinfeld.
I agree this show is great and I can't wait till next week WOW !!! the tortoise explosion was something else....totaly took me by surprise.
Walt is becoming a pain not only to his family but....to Jesse..he treats him worse than a toddler and he needs to give him more credit at least Jesse doensn't have a wife and son that he has to lie to.
I think Skyler is a total MILF !
Being preggers just makes her hotter.
Totally want to hit that !!
The actress who plays Skyler is in her 40's.
Think about that Tra.
Lots of people started a career on Seinfeld .Cranston got his first big break with Malcom in the Middle.
Robert
"I don't think whitey likes lets make a deal!"
I'm not sure if anyone has brought this up because I can't read every comment, but when Jessie used the glass against the wall to hear what Jane was up to in her apartment it got me thinking. I am wondering if Jane has been listening to Walt and Jessie's conversations. On IMDB it says that her character is in 8 episodes. I can't wait to see how this all unfolds.
I meant Jesse not Jessie...oops
Another thing that kind of bothers me is the museum as a meeting place. Aren't there cameras everywhere these days?? You would think the would be security cameras inside.
yea some aspects like meeting in museums......guys riding by on choppers yellin HEY YOU'RE PINKMAN......I HEARD ABOUT YOU!...........come on..........the guy on the chopper would know better than to yell that in public!
Like when they first meet tuco in the junkyard.......tuco hands the bag of dope to No-Doz.......who weighs the dope on a digital scale that he's holding in his hand.....standing there..........most digital scales have to be on a flat, non-moving surface..........and it was just a bit cheesy.......
but everything that followed kicked my ass so i have no complaints!
best show on tv period
Another thing that kind of bothers me is the museum as a meeting place. Aren't there cameras everywhere these days?? You would think the would be security cameras inside.
Not only that, if memory serves me correctly. it's been a long long time since I have been there. it's inside of Kirkland AFB. Maybe they re-did access, but I seem to remember having to pass thru the guard shack.
also....
good points Deprave Dave on the yelling and the scale
Eric> I wondered about the glass too. But I thought Jesse was spying on her to find out if she had a boyfriend. Didn't she go into her apartment with someone earlier? I think he was trying to figure out what she was doing.
About the museum...you would think that there'd be cameras all over, but from having been there last summer, I know they were planning to move to a new location. So maybe things were starting to be disassembled in preparation.
You know what? I used to like to watch TV before this show aired, but now I find myself flipping through the channels and turning it off because nothing has the depth and foresight this series shows. I seem to be entranced and long for the next episode. I really am completely hooked. I'm sure I'll be going through withdrawal when this season's over... either that or I'll need rehab. 12 Steps anyone?
The Heisenberg Blue is seeping through our televisions, and into our brains. Making us all junkies for this show. I've never in my life responded to a tv show board before BB. I look up every possible article after every episode airs. I was hoping they would have t-shirts and other merch for me to shamelessly promote, but I couldn't find anything but the 1st season on DVD here at AMC. Point being is that I'm completely OBSESSED!! I freakin' love this show. I hope they win in every drama catagory at the Emmy's. One of the best shows to ever hit television.
I just thought that I would repost this from a BB blog about the Negro & Azul video. I keep seeing questions regarding it and othere theories of the show.
JJS: A corrido is a musical story taken from real life. It can be about a tragic accident or praising a person. A lot of songs used to be about migration and smuggling. Narcocorridos are based on cases related to drug trafficking. A trafficker can become popular because people know he has a brain for business. A lot of people think narcocorridos are only ones who can challenge the government. To them, it's like an action picture. The one who wins in the end is the good guy. And for those people, the government is the bad guy.
You're definitely right about the Heisenberg Blue, Eric.
I was thinking about what Hank has been going through. I know he's in over his head, but he really stepped up even after the explosion. He tied the guy's leg off so that he wouldn't die. I know it's really gotta be hard to overcome, but he seems to be the only character in the show that is an actual "hero". He may be rough around the edges, but I'm big uppin the guy. I wanted Walt to succeed in the beginning , however I'm over that now.
I want Hank to bunker down his feelings and rush into the danger without fear and hopefully without too many consequences. If he wasn't as scared as those other guys he would most likely be dead or have one his own limbs blown off right now. I'm cheering for him.
Be ready Hank! Walt is turning into Heisenberg! Jesse is turning into Diesel! The cartel is on the way! Heads up, man!
yeah. they certainly are going to need a few more DEA agents down in El Paso to work with Hank
and the Blue is getting to me too...damn it's only wed.
During one of the museum scenes Jesse and his friends all put their fists together. Skinny Pete's fist gets knocked out of the fist-bump first.
I think this might foreshadow Skinny Pete being killed or kicked out of the crew. He has already screwed up once by getting jacked, and he even killed that poor bug that Jesse couldn't kill.
Down with Skinny Pete!!
How can you hate on Skinny Pete? He got them the intro to Tuco! It went down bad, but it got them their start. It paid for Walt's chemo for Skinny Pete's sake! SP is still down even if he is on probation. I mean come on he can't be blamed for gettin jacked! He had a knife I----------> that big in his face, plus he can't be all about spelling and sh**!
LOL! Don't hate on SP!
Unforgiven -
I'm not sure but it's a great movie. Better book actually.
This is my favorite show on Television.
I recently watched all of Season 1, and it got me very interested. The characters are great. Walt is played by a VERY good actor, I remember someone referring a Seinfeld episode lol.
Season 2 has blown me away.
Walt is the man. Do not hate on him, WHAT WOULD YOU DO!!!
I can't wait until Sunday. I've been telling my friends about the show, they all watch it too. Way to GO, AMC!!!!!!
I am wondering when Badger's cousin, the tow truck driver, is going to enter back into the story. He did tell someone over the phone about that 55 gallon drum and it's contents.......
I love this show and have gotten 4 of my closest friend hooked on it.

I dont know if anyone noticed but in the second scene at the Atomic museum Werner Heisenberg's name was mentioned in the automatic voice from one of the exhibits. I think Sneaky Pete heard it.
JPB2, one of my friends who is into the show thought she heard it too. I went back and listened carefully and didn't pick it up. Maybe the show has subliminal pics and audio that cannot be recorded?
Anyone else hear this?
Negro Y Azul
Black and blue... here all along I was think like the beatings that have been going on..
It just clicked ..Heisenburg wears black and he makes the blue...duh
I wouldn't have thought of that zia - thanks for the insight!
I noticed a very significant bit of foreshadowing in episode "737"- one half hour into the episode, Skylar is looking through old photos and sees one, gets a dreamy look on her face and clearly is thinking up a plan. Who is in the photo? Ted, her new/old boss and a young and very blond and pretty Skylar- both happy looking, etc.- this supports the idea of their eventual re-involvement!
To answer those who wondered how the blue meth and Heisenberg's reputation had already made it down to Mexico as implied in the narcocorrido song which opens Negro y Azul, I would like to remind everyone about the beginning of many episodes - they are forays into the future! The things mentioned in the fabulous song have not happened YET, but will, in the future!
I am insanely in love with this show, the cleverness of the writing, the development of all of the characters - love Jesse and Hank and the newly emerging sides of Skylar- wow!
I actually find this show so tense, that in order to watch each new episode, I must first read the very detailed plot description on AMC's website, so I know what to expect, and am less frightened as events unfold. I could not have watched Spooge's head crushing or Tortuga's head walking on the turtle, for example, if I was not prepared for them in advance. I worry about Skylar, she seems so vulnerable in her pregnant state, and I worry about Hank - why is he having these reactions - is it panic, or is he really ill?
Whatta show!!!!!
Depending on how positive you are. You know, glass half empty, half glass full.....
There is just over 85 hours 'til showtime!
or
There is just under 86 hours 'til showtime!
I can't wait!
or maybe I should say are.
Is it "is" or "are?"
haha..... cannot wait for this week's show. forget the rest of the weekend.... just take me to Sunday at 10PM!
Karen, regarding the forays into the future, if you listen to the podcast you know that Heisenberg's competition, the Mexican drug cartel made that video. It's not supposed to be real, it's supposed to be what they want to happen.
I don't think I would like knowing what would happen before hand. it just seems like it would take too much away.
4justice, I just watched the show again and they do say Heisenberg's name when Jesse meets them. It's right before they talk about exponential growth.
Yeah, this show is layered like nachos, yo.
Yeah they really mixed it low on the edit.. but ohhh snap
JPB2, since you were mentioning editing...
I know this may seem minor, but since it's the only thing I watch on TV it's important to me. Did you notice the scene with Jesse and Jane on the back patio when she is smoking? One minute her arms are crossed, then they're not, then they are, then they're not. Where was the continuity person during the shoot? How did they miss that in editing? Like I said minor... but important to me.
Don't mess up my show! I'm living vicariously through these characters!
Just kiddin, but watch it.
I can't wait for Sunday.......the lawyer Saul(bob odenkirk) looks awesome!!! the preview is definately throwin us a curveball as someone said haha.......cant wait
I think Saul's gonna bite the dust. In that preview, when he's saying "if I can find you, how far behind me is the DEA" or something like that, and they show Walt giving him this evil look - the killer look.....I thought, Saul - you're a dead man.
I love how they tease the crap out of us with these episode previews! So, far, all my guesses have been wrong! LOL
My momma tolled me not to play with turtles. She must have been talking about the ones with two heads!
Bang!
Didn't see that coming!
I was just daydreaming when I wondered what would be the first thing I would do with a time machine. It would be to skip to the end of the season so that I could watch all the episodes at once. That's when I noticed that something is wrong with me. I didn't think about betting on some game to make a bunch of money or to save people from something horrible, but to watch this show.
Is something wrong with me or am I really addicted to that Heisenberg Blue? Right. Both.
Every time I read that someone mentions nachos I look up from the screen, cast my gaze towards the nearest 7/11...
(As per Homer Simpson) Grghhhhhh... nachos
One of my favorite TV Series was the "SAPRANOS" and I though Tony was cold hearted but I think this show beats it's by a long shot.....this is cold as you can get at least thats what I think or I must of been really sheltered.
COMBO IS GOING TO BE THE ONE TO SPILL THE BEANS TO THE CARTELL HANKS MY BOY LOVE HIM SKYLER WILL NEVER LEAVE WALT TILL HE DIES FOR JRS SAKE THE OLD FRIEND WILL HAVE TO CONFRONT WALT FOR THAT LITTLE MEETING WITH GRENCHEN JANE REMINDS ME OF A YOUNG ELIZABETH TAYLOR ONCE AGAIN I SAY THANK YOU FOR BB
Wow every episode just keeps digging a hole deeper and deeper. I keep trying to get more people on board with this show but you really have to start from the beginning. I highly recommend buying season 1 (cheap @ SAMS CLUB) then I can chat with my friends. What happened with the aunts house? Did it sell with the tub damage?
laz3000:
Thanks for the response. I watched the scene again and heard the Heisenberg name. I must give credit to JPB2 for his comment earlier on when he heard it.
Thanks Laz3000, It's attention to detail that makes me un-viable in the workforce. HeeeeHeee
Thank Clayton Neumann for keeping this a great place to be!
Yeah, I'd like to thank Clayton, too!
BB fans it's the 200th post!
laz..... you cheated and posted twice :)
the blue meth is making you crazy ;-)
There's a second reference to turtles besides Tortuga in "Negro Y Azul" and I'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet.
When Heisenberg goes to meet with Jesse's crew at the National Atomic Museum, a few lines from the 1951 Civil Defense training film "Duck and Cover" are playing in the background.
There was a turtle by the name of Bert
And Bert the Turtle was very alert
When danger threatened him he never got hurt
He knew just what to do
He'd duck and cover, duck and cover
He did what we all must learn to do
You and you and you and you
Duck and cover!
yep laz3000, I had a feeling we would reach 200 this week, and I haven't posted in a few days! And it is only Friday too! I like to see the fans get involved. Only 49 hours remaining...... well 50 in my case, as I always DVR it and watch it when it is finished recording and get settled in with the wife.
Better call Saul: So I'm thinking that Badger (the weak link in Jesse's trio) gets busted. Saul the (Criminal Lawyer) comes to work things out. But my guess is that the DEA is going to be sniffing around way to close for comfort now and ol Saul is going to rescue Jesse and Walt big time. Going to be very exciting.
Gotta love Skinny Pete. Badgers the goof ball.
Two headed turtle comment-----------very funny!!!
So Wednesday night I got home from work around 12:30 (so really it was Thursday morning). Took my dogs out, got a drink & a snack & started flipping around the dial figuring just a few minutes & I'll go to bed. I found Breaking Bad was starting at 1 am & I hadn't seen it yet. Well I'd heard about it some, knew it was getting some good reviews & I've never been disappointed by Bryan Cranston. But I need sleep! Oh well, let me just watch a few minutes & see what's all the hub-bub, then I'll go to bed. The first few minutes with Los Cuates de sinaloa was mesmerising! So I stuck with it a bit, then a bit longer & quickly knew I wasn't going to bed until 2.
I love this show. I went out the next morning & bought Season 1. What a great show. I'm telling anyone I talk to that they must watch this show. I know it won't be for everyone, but those that get it will get it good. I'm so glad my boss kept me later Wednesday night, because I would have been in bed long before 1 & wouldn't be enjoying this so much now.
Hi!
For those of you who are huge Bryan Cranston fans, check out pictures and the conversation I had with him last night on the Red Carpet at the Prism Awards in Beverly Hills:

I knew it was inevitable. The spam would hit sooner or later. Now this forum definitely needs a moderator. Go to hell Roxy. Let's get real. You run some stupid wanna be celebrity blog and you don't even know a thing about Breaking Bad.
Go to hell. Go to hell. Go to hell spammer. Let us enjoy our show and discuss it without your spam. If you actually met "Walt" in real life, you appreciate him about as much as I would appreciate meeting the pope. So many people love the pope and no offense to them, would consider it an honor to meet him, but I couldn't care less. I'd be like "whatever." That is how you and your website feel about our Walt. Most of us would LOVE to meet dear Walt, but I doubt you seriously care. If you have in fact met him and you do in fact have a legitimate site, it was only an "opportunity" for you. Go away!
jkfee welcome! Good to have you with us.
skottey, man pull in the leash! LOL! Thanks, maybe someone should let Clayton know what's going on here. Red Carpet Roxy is on the F list of celebrities. She has gotten on TV from doing nothing but blogging about meeting stars. She hypes herself up and there isn't much to her. She has gotten her 15 minutes from like VH1 or something when I seen a clip about her blog. It's nothing.
I would rather have the real fans stand up and boo her out of here, though. She's not really here to promote the show, she's here to promote herself. Kick her off the island! LOL
pssst......
msn shows different previews/sneak peeks than amc......obviously they're made by amc......
check this out.....

DepraveDave-
Couldn't get the video to play at MSN. It just went on and on waiting for ten minutes and never did start.
We know you aren't spamming :)
D-Dave - thanx for the heads-up on msn. That was a kewl preview.
Yo, DepraveDave! You came through on this one! Thanks for the info! Maybe you should keep it up so that we don't forget.
Right on.....I pass on what I can.....:P cant wait till sunday
dave thanks for the gold i cherish any preview i can find it was new and not spam viva la BB
I still cannot get the MSN video to play... it just says advertisement and loops. I tried IE and firefox and disabled Internet security.... oh well... can somebody just tell me what the video says?
Less than 24 hours until showtime..... so it isn't the end of the world but I wouldn't mind knowing about this video.
I am a computer guy by trade and an MS partner, so there is nothing wrong with my computers. I just cannot view the video. I have had other problems with MS related partner sites too and had to disable security but that didn't work here. Damn it.
I'm STOKED!! Less than 24 hours to go!!!!!
This show is an a soap opera that i'm hooked on to, in the beginning it was the ABQ. thing and now i'm hooked period, a soap opera ??
Walt is going to die anyway, so he thinks, why does he care about the consequences ? With his luck he'll most likely win the cancer and be sitting in jail in the end and jesse will vanish with no one knowing where or why.
Patience is a virtue skottey-:P jk.....but
while we all cuss under our breath cause we seen the 2 min. bit on preview, you can enjoy it as all new :P
dunno why it isnt workin for u.......you have a msn account? maybe u need to be signed in? i use firefox ........TONIGHT CANT WAIT!!!!!!
MY FRIENDS FREAK OUT WHEN I TALK TO THEM ABOUT THE SHOW BECAUSE I ALLWAYS MAKE IT SOUND SO REAL LIKE THESE PEOPLE ARE PART OF MY WORLD WELL I DO TALK LIKE THERE ALL MY GOOD FRIENDS WOOHOO 12 HRS LEFT
Skottey, It's a one minute preview of the show. We see Walt and Jesse dropping cash into a money counting machine. Walt says, "We are going to feed this machine." He asks Jesse where the rest of the money is and he tells him that Badger hasn't kicked in all of his share yet. Walt pushes him to take care of it. Jesse calls Cabo (or Combo, I don't know for sure) and asks about Badger. When he starts to make excuses Jesse starts yelling at him and acts like he's tough. At that point he gives Walt a look that they both know is only the blowfish. End preview.
nice synopsis laz3000 :P......and somewhere(maybe here) i read it as Combo.........haha what's the story behind that name? lmfao
5.5 hours : )
1.5 hours.......haha i had to
Wow, what a bunch of comments-all terrific and sick and original like Breaking Bad. What originality and brass ballzyness!! It has been a while since I have seen a show or movie like this. The show is destined for awards and popularity. The subjects are fresh, tough and many tweekers and friends of tweekers can relate to them. Let me be the first to say that this series is on the level of " Pulp Fiction ", "The Sopranos ", and " Boston Legal". Thank you directors and writers for creating an interesting and enjoyable show for me to watch. It truly is exciting and provocative. And, need I say anything more about the acting?..........I think not! Even the child who did'nt say a word did a magnificent job. What happen to him, I would like to have a follow up on that.. that would complete me.
HELP! Does anyone know when this particular episode will be back on? Because I was tivo`ing those and I missed this one and I need this one for my collection. Thanks to all, and anyone who responds.
laz3000... That money counting machine you mentioned is shown in Season 2 Episode 7 was purchased by the studio from Better Business Electronics: http://bit.ly/Cassida6600
Cheers!
