It's funny that you mention that because I bought a shirt that looked like the one from the last episode in season 1. I felt like a total weirdo since not everyone knows what show that I'm talking about. Still, I wave my BB status like a banner!

Sometimes I have to explain that I don't want to cook meth, I am just infatuated with the brilliance of the writing and the actors. Even the camera work and editing are superb. Hat's off AMC... or maybe on if you can locate them.

I saw a hat that looked very much like Walt's at a Target last year, shortly after we first saw him wearing it. It's a fedora. I'm guessing they really did buy it somewhere like Target.

Walt/Bryan sure can "rock it" huh??? Great look, for him!

A pork pie is what Paul Newman as Butch Cassidy wore. It sits right on top of the crown of the head and may not completely cover the head, but a fedora does. It's a better choice for Walt (Bryan, too, since I'm guessing he's fair-skinned) because of his shaved head.

Fedoras were fairly popular during the '40's and '50's. I have snapshots of my grandfather and uncle wearing them then, but some men still wore them in the '60's and '70's. A good friend of my parents wore a plaid fedora during my childhood! Basic black is works much better for Walt.

Anyway, I looked on the Target website and found some fedoras, but I believe those available on the website were for women. The one I saw last year in the store was in the men's department.

Did I dream it or was there a very brief scene after Walt returns home from the desert (ep. 3) where he comes into the bedroom wearing only the hat and tells Skyler he's planning a trip to 7-11? If I remember correctly, he asked if she wanted a Big Gulp.
