stuffed animal?

I'm farily certain I've seen all episodes so far from both seasons, but I must have missed something and/or it's meant to be an artistic surprise. What's the significance of that little floating stuffed animal at the beginning of a couple of episodes? Last show a guy was shown fishing it out of a pool along with some other burnt items (including glasses like Walt's). I was thinking it may have been from tuco's blown apt., but that explosion was in the direction of street. And it doesn't look like a pool would be in that ghetto hellhole anyway lol. Anyone have any other ideas? It's just been bugging me.

p.s. and I know how u feel Jesse, I feel about that po-ed and cheated by the world every other day or so.

I think the mutulated bear is a metaphor for Walt and his transformation. I also think it might be a peek at an upcoming episode

I just want to say this is one of the best shows I have ever seen. AMC is really doing an amazing job at producing shows like this

the drowning corrupted plush toy as a symbol of walt...
it is as eerie as they meant it to be, huh.
i'm with Jeni on this one.
someone's speed lab explodes in a future episode.
finger's crossed it's not jesse and walt's!

Are you guys all completely blind or just unobservant? The pool they are fishing it out of is Walt's pool. They showed it in the first season in an episode where they were throwing Walt a birthday party. The bear has been shown in the baby's room in a few episodes. The glasses are Walt's and there is also his wallet and a few other items. The bear isn't some metaphor or some "symbol" of Walt's existence you morons. It's a bear... it is burned and if you would pay attention the guy fishing it out is in a hazmat suit. CAN YOU SAY METH LAB???

Don't know if anybody else noticed, but in the Season 2 opener, the stuffed bear is burnt on it's LEFT side, with it's LEFT eye missing and getting sucked into the pool skimmer. In the beginning of this latest episode (#4) the stuffed bear is burnt on it's RIGHT side with it's RIGHT eye missing!

There's a good indication of a meth lab explosion here at Walt's house, what with the guy in a hazmat suit and everything, but don't rule out the possibility that maybe the "Boys from Juarez" had something to do with the explosion too.

It seems the show is taking a similar approach to Damages this season, slowly showing us bits and pieces of what happens at the end of the season, and then leading up to it so all the pieces fall into place. I have a really bad feeling about the stuffed animal...although it could be there to make us think something really bad happens, but it's not as bad as it seems...

Alright armedbygrace since you want to be such a smart-aleck and an official Breaking Bad genius, how is the guy in the hazmat (and yes, I noticed that fyi) suit already fishing items from a pool burnt by a meth lab which has yet to explode?

There has been plenty of foreshadowing at the beginning of episodes (Jesse's hydraulics, etc.) which does tell of events soon to come, but some of these items could be seen as representative; Jesse's car, for example, and it's hydraulics flipping out as a symbol of the chaos which has just transpired and then Hank switching it off as it dies as a symbol of Tuco's sudden death.

Whether or not you see some of these things as symbolic (Jesse's car, Tuco's glass-encased grill, etc.) the fact remains that in all instances the mysterious items have resolved themselves beyond a shadow of a doubt by the end of the respective episodes, but the stuffed animal and the other burnt items are the exception here, they have not. So there is no way you can say for SURE that the items in the pool will be the result of a meth lab blowing up.

You're entitled to your own opinion, but there's no since in being rude to others just because you don't agree with their point of view. You seem to be armed with plenty of smartmouth instead of any measure of grace.

bek7567 - I am entitled to my own opinion aren't I? Well here's my opinion... IT'S A TV SHOW, CALM DOWN! AND OF COURSE IT'S A FORESHADOW, FOR THE SEASON, NOT JUST ONE EPSIODE LIKE THE GRILL OR THE CAR. JEEZ, YOU PEOPLE TAKE THIS CRAP WAY TOO SERIOUSLY!

you guys are right. they did flash a scene with a guy in a hazmat suit and he was fishing stuff out of the pool and everything being fished out of the pool is bagged and marked with the words " evidence" and it's lined up on the ground, I also remember one of the items being a wallet I think it's Walt's, a pair of glasses, I cant remember the other things. something bad is gonna go down. do you guys think that Walt has gotten so bad that he would cook meth in his house with a new baby soon to arrive? and do you think Walt would get sloppy and blow up his lab? he too smart to let something like that happen. besides only tweekers blow up their labs. whatever it is it does look like something is gonna go down at Walt's house.

The new episode that aired on May 10th had another black & white cryptic shot of Walt's house blown up. I don't think it's metaphoric, or it's trying to parallel Walt's life - I think it's simple foreshadowing. There's likely a big cliffhanger season finale coming up. My question is, in this new episode, there were two bodies in the driveway covered up by sheets - any thoughts on who they may be? Hope it's not Walt Jr.!

Also, just a note to "bigfreakinnaz" - you said something about the stuffed animal being burned on the left side, then later they show it burned on the right side - that's simple to explain. In the editing process, often a shot will be shown in mirror-image - 99% of the time it's just done because the guy in the editing room thought it looked better reversed. I'm sure there's no subtext in what you saw, but big points for attention to detail!
