Season 3 Confirmed?

Did anyone notice the little "Be on Breaking Bad" blurb at the bottom of AMC's Breaking Bad homepage? Read what it says here: "Enter the video contest for a chance to win $1,000 and a walk-on role in Season 3 of Breaking Bad"

Has Season 3 already been announced or did they just inadvertently admit that another season is now in production? Sorry if it's already common knowledge that there will be a Season 3, but after watching the current one, I didn't know what to expect; we look poised for a tragic (perhaps final) ending.

Has anyone else thought it's funny that it's Mr. Pinkman and Mr. White in business together.....that there's got to be something to that? It reminds me of Reservoir Dogs and all the robbers (Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown).Walt is surely turning into Mr. Black.

Help! Rebroadcasts?

I had to travel this weekend for work, and my hotel only had satellite, no cable, hence no AMC, and no Breaking Bad, episode 4. I can't find anything on the site about rebroadcasts during the week, but think AMC must do them, as I recall tuning in once and seeing a bit of the prior week's episode -- which I had already seen, but don't remember the date and time that was. AMC's schedule, for some odd, unknown reason, only lists titles through to 8:00 pm.

Can someone help a working stiff who had the misfortune to stay at a hotel in which AMC was not on the list of Satellite channels offered?

stuffed animal?

I'm farily certain I've seen all episodes so far from both seasons, but I must have missed something and/or it's meant to be an artistic surprise. What's the significance of that little floating stuffed animal at the beginning of a couple of episodes? Last show a guy was shown fishing it out of a pool along with some other burnt items (including glasses like Walt's). I was thinking it may have been from tuco's blown apt., but that explosion was in the direction of street. And it doesn't look like a pool would be in that ghetto hellhole anyway lol. Anyone have any other ideas? It's just been bugging me.

p.s. and I know how u feel Jesse, I feel about that po-ed and cheated by the world every other day or so.

Negro Y Azul

Great video from the band. I know Danny trejo is supposed to make a cameo in the upcoming episode. I bet that's him in one of the scenes (his face is blurred out)

Also the person dressed up like walt ( ala heisenberg) that guy looks too skinny to be walt, although his back is facing the camera.

hmmm questions.

Walt fakes his own death?

A weird thought to consider, but I'm thinking of all those evidence bags being laid out by the pool in "Down". Would Walt fake his death, so he could be unecumbered by family questions to continue cooking? Is that too nutty?

Harrison Ford cameo?

In the opening scene at the grocery store, Jesse and Walt are talking and a man comes up. This person looks like Harrison Ford with a blond wig on. Did anyone notice this? Is it my imagination, or does it really look like Harrison Ford? My girlfriend thinks I'm crazy...

Walt's Affair

.....well, the one Skyler thinks he's having because of the phone calls in Ep. 4 "Down". She's pretty obsessed over that cell phone, but does everyone think that Skyler believes Walt's having an affair? It almost seemed like they hospital psychiatrist had revealed Walt's confession about faking the fugue episode she had. Skyler was pissed, but would she retaliate over a suspected affair by harming her unborn baby by smoking? Would a woman do that to get back at her husband? What's everybody else think?

When Skyler finds out...

We all know it's a matter of time before Skyler finds out what Walter is up to (making crystal). The real questions with this topic is how will she react? Half of me believes that she will walk away from him and my other half believes she won't. Walter seems to have a natural ability to get out of these rediculous situations and I don't see why he can't get out of this one. What do you think?

Your breaking bad music

I've thought how fitting a lot of songs I have on my IPod would go with Breaking Bad, or in some way remind me of the show or it's characters. Here are some of them, feel free to comment and post your own!

Sum 41-The Hell song.
"I fear Ive come to realize
How fast life can be compromised" "Suddenly, suddenly
I don't feel so insecure"-describes Walt in a lot of ways.........

Seaon 1 Marathon to get more viewers into Season 2?

This might already be in the works and I just haven't seen it but the reason I mention this is because I fell in love with Breaking Bad during the first season. Even got several other people involved during Season 1 and then we all were devastated when we learned the show wasn't going to be continued.

So when I heard that Season 2 WAS going to be released, I was quite happy so say the least.

My wife didn't watch Season 1 but because I had moaned and complained so much about how good the show was and how disappointed I was that they had cancelled it, she decided to give the show a try.

Season 2 Ep 1 on HULU.com - more to come?

In response to several people asking if episodes were available in other places, I decided to go see if Hulu.com had anything available from Breaking Bad.

Along with several mini-sodes from Season 1 and 2 and other various Breaking Bad Clips, the full Episode 1 from Season 1 is watchable there.

Episodes 2 and 3 of Season 2 aren't there but I imagine they will be at some point since Episode 1 is.

Jessie's car

A couple of episode's ago, Mr. White's detective b-inlaw found out through Jessie's mother that he had a "high rider" and asked his team to "track" this car and then was able to find it at Tuco's remote house - how are you able to track a car to it's exact location? My husband & son were curious about this too! Does anyone know?

? Money in the Dryer - Season 1 Ep ?

Ok, may be a bit niave but I am rewatching Season 1 with my wife to get her caught up and I remember having this question the first time I saw it and I still have the question the second time I saw it.

In the first or second episode, there is a scene with Walt running a bunch of loose bills in a dryer. What was the reason for this?

I don't remember the bills getting wet... hmmm... or was this the episode after Jesse brings Walt his 'half' which was the $4000.00? But I could swear this scene was before that scene....

Anyway, does anyone have a decent explanation?

Sponsors Beware

The sponsors of this show are going to be in for a massive boycott for promoting a show that rationalizes felony manufacture of drugs and murder.
If I get incurable cancer does that give me the right to whack the federal judges that legislate from the bench?

Tonight's Replay Episode 2

At the table, all four are sitting down to eat the burritos and Tios stops Tuco from taking his first bite because he knows Walt spiked Tucos's burrito with the meth/ricin mixture.

Tuco thinks Tios just wants Tuco's bigger portion and swaps plates. Tios manages to swipe the plate off the table on to the floor.

Here's my point: it looked like the stuff left on the table was meth! I thought for sure Walt and Jesse were dead right there, but it didn't happen........ so much for anticipating.......

"Those boys down in Juares" (Mexico)

So Tuco said that his cousins are coming up from Mexico to come get them and keep them safe. Well, "Tio" in spanish means "uncle" so the cousins are "Tio's" sons. Tio spent hours with Jesse and Walt, he can identify them and he knows that they tried to poison Tuco. So, as Hank calls them, "Those boys down in Juares" , Tuco cousins are on the way and Jesse and Walt will be seeing them soon. And rumor has it they are more evil than Tuco ever was!!

Breaking Bad

I love this show, Walt is very cool under pressure.
Didnt you learn anything in my class? No you flunked me, with a beer in hand. I loved that.

Albuquerque

I just put this one of the threads but will put here too.
I'd love to hear how and why Vince Gilligan chose Albuquerque as the location of the show and the Albuq. Country Club as Jesse's neighborhood. I grew up in ACC in late 60's early 70's and really enjoy the scenes they shoot on the streets. It is a classic and beautiful neighborhood. I'd love to see more. I know the house they are using for Jesse's house. I used to play with the family across the street and play in the park around the corner. It;s a great choice for Jesse's house because it's such a contridiction to the entire classic, quiet style of the "hood".

Difference between racemic and d-meth high?

I don't know meth, but I know organic chemistry. Reducting pseudo, or plain old ephedrine will yield d-meth, the more potent isomer. You can legally buy l-meth. It is the active ingredient in vick's inhalers. When you make meth from p2p and methylamine, you have equal amounts of d and l meth. They never mentioned separating the isomers. If they did it would probably clean it up enough to get rid of the blue color. So wouldn't users notice if their meth was only 50% as potent? To anyone who has tried street meth and vicks inhalers.. do they have the same effect? Any big diffence in the effects of d and d,l meth? Tuco seems to like the d,l stuff better.

Heisenberg?

I love that Hank's street name is Heisenberg. I haven't seen a lot of discussion of the ironic and prophet choice of a name.
Heisenbergs Uncertainty Principle is a landmark of quantum physics. In a sense it states that the position or location of a particle can never be absolutely determined no matter how carefully or accurately it is calculated.
For Hank, no matter how rigorous and careful he is, he can never be absolutely sure of the outcome.

Season 1 Episode 3 question

While running back through Season 1, I came across a question that I need answered. During the opening scenes of 103 while Walt and Jesse are cleaning up the mess, Walt has a flashback. It took me awhile to figure out it was a flashback and indeed it was Walt with Gretchen. Why is Walt attempting to inventory the chemical makeup of the human body with Gretchen? I understand they were in Grad school together when they formed Gray Matter Tech.

Thanks for the help,

An invitation, something FOR YOU!

With the phenominal success of B/B, and with your kind offer for these "TOKENS" Mr. Nueman, we'd like to give something back!

We at Scooter folk fighting Speed, believe that your series goes a long way towards warding off some who might be inclined to dance with this destructive plague on Society, and we applaud the courage and integrity it must have taken to launch such a controversial project!

Our Staff of Volunteers would be proud to offer a Tshirt apiece to Bryan, Aaron, Dean, RJ, et' all!

No B/S of any actual "REP'n 4 our NFP" just want to offer them a very unique ANTI METH campaign message of hope as we try to aid families who are rasing kids from METHAMPHETAMINE broken homes.

YOUR SHOW, while indeed a drama, is about as close to a real life view of the insanity that comes with the world of TWEEKDOM, without actually diving headfirst into HELL!

Congratulations on groundbreaking TV!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Advertise this show

If this show was just advertised a little bit more, it would need it's own channel!
I switch away from AMC more often because I'm tired of seeing another "Breaking Bad" ad than for any other reason. It would be nice to be able to finish a movie once-in-awhile.

3/6/09 afternoon canceled cable subscription (no joke) 3/6/09 evening watched Breaking Bad marathon, Fantastic!! I watch 2 back to back latenight comedy shows and 1 primetime network show, all of them on my PC with limited commercial interuptions (reason for canceled cable) Please tell me if there will be a similar way to continue to watch this show? I promise to click on your sponsors. If all TV was this good I wouldn't have canceled. Thank You

Finally a show thats real !

I am so glad I came across this show and gave it a watch. The characters, the writing, the pace of the scripts...none of this crap thats on most networks, Not since The Shield have I seen such powerful shows. And am wonerfully suprised that its getting rave reviews...Usually it seems feedback on shows like this that show the rough side of life, get hammered that they are sending out the wrong message...
I am just grateful for some good intense drama that caters to those people who neeed something more than "The bachelor" and "CSI" that insult my intelligence >>>

I am a devoted fan ..Viv
Flail and rants from people who say "what has TV gone to ?"...

Disappointed in AMC

I am very disappointed in AMC, they used to show such good movies and in some cases they still do but this show should not be on television. A show glorifying the manufacturing of an illegal drug should not be on the air regularly. This is something for the likes of showtime or hbo not a regular cable network. I am very disappointed in them for airing this trash.

Is this for real

A program that sells the idea that its accepted that t.v. is now selling the premise that this is entertainment
