pop ups during show

I am a big fan of your network, and I still am, but I cannot watch anymore. I was watching the Godfather Part II and every few seconds these annoying ads for future programs come up on the screen. I think your logo in the lower right corner is more than adequate. It takes away from the program I'm watching. Alot of stations are doing this now, and I've quit watching their stations as well. I'm sure I'm not the only viewer who feels this way. I always thought AMC was a cut above the rest with your top quality shows etc. Now your like the rest. Too bad.

Your logo AMC I thought meant American Movie Classics... Then you brought this piece of crap series on the air. What a bunch of crap it is nomatter how many awards it receives it's stil CRAP... You should stick with something you are successful doing. Breaking Bad is not a series I'll ever WATCH..I'd rather watch the grass grow than watch that CRAP..

Welcome to the next evolution of advertising! Deal with it....

Outside of having the potentially pay your cable company to get this channel, it is still basically FREE TV and the Advertisers are what make it possible to bring you this show and even the Classic Movies.

Just so you know, the reason they put the Channel Logo is so when you COPY a movie off their channel, you will forever remember where you copied it from.

And you can thank TIVO and DVR for the new evolution of advertising. TIVO and DVR not only have made it possible for you to copy the show you wanted to watch and watch at the time that is convenient for you, but it has also made it possible for you to skip the advertisements that paid for the broadcasting channel to bring the show you wanted to watch. So the advertisers had to find a way to get THEIR money's worth by figuring out how to advertise to you in a way that you couldn't get around.

The first evolution of that was cranking the volume of comercials up to about twice of what the show was so when you got up during a commercial break to go to the rest room or go to the kitchen to get a snack or drink, you would still at least HEAR the commercial.

But with being able to skip commercials altogether, they had to come up with a way to advertise to you DURING the show.... and thus the bottom scrolling or corner popping commercials that take up some of the screen which you are FORCED to watch because you ARE watching the show was the answer.

So don't blame AMC or even the advertisers... blame TIVO / DVR. Someone HAS to pay for the shows and the advertisers aren't going to pay unless they have a chance at SOME kind of return on their investment.

If you don't like commercials, then I suggest subscribing to HBO or Skin-A-Max and pay a premium channel fee so you don't have to watch commercials. And I don't mean that rudely, that is just your only option if you want to escape commercials.
