No one knows or sure on the start date but I heard a rumor we are looking at the start of the year. Purely a rumor but it sounds fairly in line with the show starting back into filming in July.

OMG! You got us totally hooked and then left us hanging! With all of the "new" series coming out, why not just stick with something that was just 100% entertaining? I can't remember te last time I SO looked forward to a show coming on!
Did it have to do with the writer's strike?

While that sounds a long way off its not really all that far when you consider network shows don't start until mid to late Sept.

The get started and then they start getting held back for baseball and world series preemptions. Then there is all the election stuff coming up that will eat up network air time too. Before you know the holidays are upon us and many shows vanish until the first of the year 1/2 way through Dec.

While all that stuff doesnt impact networks like AMC in preemption and such it does help knowing that folks won't be getting much more of their shows over there even with a Sept start than we'd get with a Jan one.

IF (I really don't know but I very intuitive *g*) we have to wait until the first of the year it will be sooner than we think and great news because BB will get a straight run with rock solid audience #'s in those cold winter months when there is nothing to do in the evenings but sit inside under a blanket and watch some great TV.

You guys are breaking US! this was the best show of the year last season. The only none sports related thing on TV I make sure I saw each week. You keep cranking out Mad Men which is not bad but to much hype for that has turned me off to it. Here is a show that I admit and get strange looks when telling others it is based on a Teacher turning to make and deal crystal meth. But it is much more than that. The acting and writing is fantastic and watching the struggles of the actors in beyond normal life troubles is amazingly real. Take some tips from FX where they run rescue me followed by the shield and then Nip tuck maybe not in that order but they keep it fresh and mix it up you never get burned out. I am eager to turn in hope it is back no later than the first of the year if not sooner.

Breaking Bad has given me fresh hope in the future of TV, the same way Sarah Palin has given me fresh hope for the future of this country! This is the best series I've seen since the great shows of the 60's and 70's -- and the first in a long time that I've ever looked forward to each week. Too bad Season 1 was cut short by the writer's strike.

I am also a late comer to Mad Men, but it is starting to grab hold of me. However, I don't see how it can keep up the tension like Breaking Bad has so far. MM is already starting to spin it's wheels a bit, but it's the kind of story that can also regain traction very quickly. I need to catch up on Season 1, I really never watched it due to BB being on at the time. When BB returns, I will not have the same problem -- I'll definitely be watching both!

One potential problem I see with BB is that I don't see how it can last more than 3 more full-length seasons, unless Walt is given a temporary reprieve from his lung cancer by some sort of miracle treatment. Of course, this would put him deeper in debt, and increase his need to produce more meth and, well, you get my point. I wouldn't be surprised to see the story taking this direction sometime late in Season 2 or early in Season 3.

Keep up the good work, AMC! You're now getting around half my total TV viewing time. Fox News, The Discovery Channel, and The Hitler Channel get the other half.

Ok so I am a little pissed... I love this story.. and there are still no answers to an end of it... No solid ones anyway.... I heard about the filming of the second season..... months ago.... and I turn to amc to see them replaying the first.... season... and I am watching an episode I already have and have watched.... just to hear word about a second season... Still nothing... RAAAAAARRRRR... F@ck mad men.... give me the show I want... :|.... sorry... venting... I watch AMC because I like movies... one of the reasons I like movies is because you watch a movie and you get the end... no come back next week to see the rest... So I am sorry for my impatients.... Got hooked.... and want a finish... :)

You think AMC would say something in regards to when we can expect new episodes. This show is clearly the best AMC show of all. I loved MADMEN when it first appeared...but after so many episodes..it would be nice to see SOMETHING happen. Breaking bad gave us more in the pilot episode than MADMEN has given us in 2 seasons. Cmon AMC...Whats the story on BREAKING BAD....??

....while I'm on the subject....what is the point of MADMEN? I get it..It's the 60s, woman are considered second class citizens, people smoke and drink too much and everyone loves plaid...soooo is anything going to happen? EVER?!?!?!?!?!?

I know for a fact that they are filming for the second season. I saw the sign for it in Albuquerque!! So it will be coming soon!!!! Very soon I hope.

This series is spectacular, and I cannot wait for season 2. You have all done a spectacular job on it. I was a fan of Bryan when he was in Malcolm, but I have to admit he has totally outdone himself. My whole family is waiting....Hurry up already!!!!!
