Great big WELCOME to all new Breaking Bad fans
A sudden increase, as the reruns began, in comments to the "Tell them you LOVE Breaking Bad" thread tells me we have new fans in our little community here.
WELCOME from me and the rest of the gang around here.
Since things are a little quiet around here being the off season and all I thought it might be fun and wise to start a brand new discussion thread.
Since its hard to chat back n forth in those older threads without searching endlessly through many for anything new I was thinking perhaps this one new would be a good place to gather for the moment.
I'll check it daily, because you know I like talking about this show, and I encourage the rest of you to do the same. MAYBE we can get a little dialog rolling?
So, anything on your mind?
Thoughts ... questions ... ANYTHING?
Looking forward to talking to all of you, old and new.

I too would like to welcome any new fans. I think one of the remarkable things about this show is that we're now watching the first season episodes for the third or fourth time, and they're still playing so fresh. I think there are the kinds of tv shows you can watch over and over again, like BrBa, and the kind you watch once, enjoy, and never pick up again. I'm so thankful Walt holds up over and over again!
Hey Clayton! Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. Somebody - someone rather persuasive - lured me away briefly with the shiny that is 15 episodes of Mad Men, which was of course absolutely fabulous. :o)
Now I'm multi addicted -- lets just say AMC owns my fangurl soul and call it a day -- thank you very much!
Anyway I'm here and I agree that it holds up beautifully even in multiple viewing.
I sat down and watched ep #2 before the kids woke this morn and found myself taking in and noticing things I hadn't before. The weight of Walts illness hits me stronger after all this time. I was very taken with Walts reaction to Skylar saying something about his yet to be born daughter being 16 and dating one day. I saw those words, knowing he wouldn't see that day, hit him square in the chest like I'd never noticed before. With so much action and tension going on the first couple times I saw the ep I missed the subtle yet powerful touches of that impending doom Crantson adds to almost every scene. Impressive!
And then there is Jesse -- of course it wouldn't be me if I didn't remark on my TV son, Jesse, right? -- who after multi viewings seems as much scared as anything else to my eyes. Sure it plays it cool all smart A@@ but watching today I really noticed how aware and freaked he was by how fast and out of control it was all spinning.
There is really so much to see every single time you sit down and watch I doubt it could be rerun enough to wear me down.
i really love this show and i recomend it to anyone who likes 2 watch real entertainment not those dumb reality shows of now-a-days...
i was wondering why is it that the new season hasnt started..is there even gonna be a new season...???
Hi Anna. It is fabulous isn't it. I recommend Breaking Bad to everyone I can too because like you've said it really is top notch entertainment that is worth a look see for anyone who loves quality TV.
As for your questions while I have no official line on the answers I, keeping an eye out and ear open as a dedicated fan, can tell you from the info I've gathered on the net the show began shooting season two mid July and its rumored to likely be back for season two in Jan.
While it could still be quite a wait for season two at least its coming and we have the current reruns and Emmy's to look forward to over the next couple months.
Nice meeting you.
I was checking out the breaking bad site to see when the new season starts. I can't believe there is a chat room about it, thats great. I hope season two has more interaction with Jesse and Skylar, talk about 2 different worlds coming together. One of my favorite scenes in season one was when Jesse asked Walt why he told his wife he bought marijuana from him and his response was "because somehow that seemed more preferably then telling her I cook chrystal meth killed a man" that had me laughing my ass off.

Hello Roman and WELCOME :o)
While things are a little quieter at the moment this is a wonderful meeting place for Breaking Bad fans that is sure to get busier and busier as the second season draws nearer and nearer.
I loved that line of Walt's too because it really laid out how dark the truth really truly is. When fessing up to purchasing marijuana from your dealer to your pregnant wife is the easy way out compared to murder and meth things are way out of hand in suburbia
While I don't know about it being Skylar I am hoping to see Jesse interacting with someone other than dealers and junkies in season two. While there is no question as to how much Walt is loved by friends and family so far Jesse, aside from Walt, is in this thing all on his own. While its clear he was a screw up before Walt broke bad Walt has taken Jesse to a new height of bad that he may be lost to for good if no one cares to pull Jesse back before its too late.
Its all very interesting on so many levels, huh?
I simply cannot wait to see what season two has in store for all of us.
Nice meeting you
Guilty as charged. Glad to hear you love Mad Men too, Pamala. I hope everybody here will check out the Breaking Bad blog too -- we're giving away lots of cool swag, with even cooler swag to come...

Guilty indeed! I did enjoy it so thank you for the pimp.
Cool swag? Tis true, AMC knows how to swag with the best of them. Can you believe I've never won any of that glorious swag. *sigh* Perhaps the random gods of fate are waiting for the even cooler swag'n times to smile down upon me. I'm very impressed with the current Mad Men contest! Be VERY, even extremely cool to get something like that to roll out BB season two. *hint, hint*
Okay enough of my whining and hinting, as fair payment for listening to me I shall head off to the BB journal and drop a plug for this weeks quiz.
I would just like to say thank you for all the information about season 2 and I hope you guys will keep the website updated.
Yes nice meeting you to. I was hoping for season 2 to start around september some time but I guess we will have to wait. Somebody told me THE CLEANER was gonna be as good as BREAKING BAD but it doesn't even come close in my opinion.
Nice meeting you Patrick. While I'm actually just a fan -- a chatty and very good with the google machine one -- like everyone else I agree it is very nice to see how well the AMC folks maintain the site.
They are clearly quite aware and very proud of the wonderful TV they're bringing us with Breaking Bad.
Look forward to seeing you around and don't you forget to entry this weeks, each week after, fun quiz with fab swag you'll find right here:

I havent tried The Cleaner but I can tell you after Claytons urging I found that Mad Men is absolutely fabulous right along Breaking Bad.
Clearly AMC knows quality drama ;o)
Its that good. I was hooked instantly so give it a shot Sunday nights at 10. While they started the second season 2 weeks back you can come in and pick it up quite easily at any point.
At the very least it will tide you over to BB's return.
Oh and don't forget to get over here and answer the quiz for this week and those to come because you got great chances to win really cool collectible by taking the time to enter.

Hi guys,
I am an old fan from day one, checking back in. This show is amazing and I can't get enough of it;I live in Albuquerque and really want to start stalking the set. They filmed one of the scenes at my friends gas station and he didn't even tell me, I was so pissed. Anyway, I love this show and was surprised that they even featured my chemistry nitpicking earlier on in season one, right here from the talk area.
Please keep them episodes coming, I can't get enough.
