can anyone tell me when season 2 of breaking bad
will start ? it is the badest show ever. thanx
As I have commented previously, Breaking Bad deserves high accolades for the musical selections used throughout season one. It would be great to see some kind of official soundtrack release.
In the meantime, I have been able to identify most of the songs, but at the end of episode 2, there was a song used that I can't identify. Does anyonone know what this was? (It is played at the close of episode 2 as the girl, presumably of native american descent, discovers the gas mask, lleft behind by walt in episode 1, and dons the gear as if it were some kind of astronaut headgear, and she were exploring alien terrain.
What did you think of the first episode of Breaking Bad? What did you like? What did you find interesting?
Bryan, Not sure if you remember me. I was the asst, Manager at the Odyssey restaurant when you were waiter. My Name is Dennis and I wanted to congradulate you on your Emmy nom. If you can it would be great to hear from you.Dennis
I know no one here will be the least bit shocked I was collecting - I am nothing if not a thorough and attentive fan - those glorious Breaking Bad Emmy noms as they were posted first thing this morn.
CONGRATULATIONS
to the nominees below as well as every single member of the Breaking Bad cast and crew that work so hard to bring us this a truly great hour of television.
Your fans are grateful for you talent and very, VERY proud of you!

Good well deserved news, eh?
Now, my fellow baddies, fill up those comments with loads of praise and congratulations!
I just got back today, from a visit to New Mexico. This trip was planned long before I even knew anything about Breaking Bad, because my in-laws live there. Anyway, in their local paper, there was a wire story that the new season would begin filming today, July 15. There weren't a lot of other details in the particular snippet that I read, but Pamala told me that she found a longer version of the same story which talked about how the production of this show was helping their economy.
I think that I read a comment quite a while back that Walt's school was actually called Eldorado. If that is the case, I saw the back side of this school from Montgomery Blvd. on the NE side of the city. I didn't recognize any part of it other than the name.
I did see the trashy motel where Jesse likes to hang out. It's easily visible from the interstate. (Actually, it didn't look THAT bad. I only saw it for a split second, but there were several places that looked a lot worse near where we stayed!)
I didn't see anyone famous, but most of our time was spent in other parts of the state and we were only in Albuquerque for three nights. I did see someone who kinda sorta looked like Bryan Cranston eating at La Placita in the Old Town. I wasn't able to look the guy full in the face, but he looked like Bryan in a generic sort of way. I finally discounted that it was him, because I didn't think the woman who was with this person looked enough like Bryan's wife, not that it means anything. (But again, she resembled her in a superficial way.) If it was him, I missed my chance!
Dark and absorbing. Love the cast working together in this show. Especially good for the chemists among us is that (for the most part) the science is also spot on! Thanks for showing the magic that chemistry in an entertaining way.
This has to be the greatest television show I have ever witnessed! I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing as I watched the first episode, completely and utterly consumed, and left...needing...more. I have been nervously awaiting any sign of a second season, or maybe even some un-aired episodes....ANYTHING!
And now...the best news I have heard in quite some time...A SECOND SEASON!!!!!
So...what does Breaking Bad mean to you? By this I mean the actual words Breaking Bad, but I would also like to hear anyone's thoughts on the show itself!
In the interview with the Music Supervisor for Breaking Bad (see here: http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/2008/03/interview-with-thom), he speaks of his mindset with regard to choosing the music for the show and offers some hints of things to come.
If you were to choose a song or music genre for a character on the show, what would it be? Please list the character by name and then a song or style of music that you think best represents him or her.
