Great Show/Great Fans - Use Us AMC, We're Free

So, AMC, you've got an incredible show on your hands here. So incredible you'll surely be greenlighting a second season double quick.

Once you get that done you've got to reach out to the viewing masses so they ALL know the greatness you have here.

In reaching those masses I'd like to suggest talking to your webmasters about making the talk format here one that will allow us to talk to each other easily rather than the current set up that doesn't lend itself to talking amongst ourselves.

We love chatting it up so making talking to other fans in ongoing threads easier would make this THE ONLY PLACE TO BE for all viewers who know and love quality TV.

Long story short - We'd love for you to make it easy for us to talk endlessly about the greatness that is Breaking Bad.

While you're at it, how about making BB merchandise something we can purchase and use to spread the word. I want to be your human billboard and I know I'm not alone in that.

Last but not least how about a live chat-room available to fans after the show each Sunday Night.
Talk about excitement that simply cannot be ignored. I know your web guru's can make it all happen and while it can be a headache I just so happen to know an experienced internet chat host - *coughs* Yes I hosted weekly post ep chats for 100's of fans each week for another show from the 90's Mr Gilligan is familair with - who'd be very happy to help in away when it comes to making Breaking Bad chats being the only place to be Sunday nights.

In other words, since I've already used a whole lot of words, let your great fans and a wonderful site make this amazing show the hottest thing going online.

Looks at subject... blinks multiply times and then logs in double quick to say I meant to type FANS

Breaking Bad has Great FANS not fan.

What can I say... I don't type well as a rule and to make matter worse I'd been in the hospital this week - I'm just getting old... nothing horrific and no worries - and was not as sharp as I usually would have been as I typed.

You guys are great fans.

On a side note this does prove my point as, if the format was different, I could change that so it read right rather than explaining the idiot that is myself.

I agree on all counts, Pamala.

I have personally found it difficult to locate posts on this site and I'm not sure why. The searching mechanism seems to be a little funky for unknown reasons.

There are other websites out there for Breaking Bad, but I like this one. I relate to the people here so much better than on MySpace. I want it to be better than it currently is and I know we can do it. If there is some way that I can help, let me know.

I love it here too. I created another site myself but hanging here is just too much fun.

It is the place to be but fan interaction is a great thing that it just doesnt - they need a set up where you would know I responded to you... where we'd all know and could have ongoing conversations - offer like it should.

I think its a great site overall but hope they make some changes so it gets even better.

Greenlight season two and bring in the web guru's

Thanks for your comments. What are the features you would like to see on the forum that are missing. Or ... what features are there currently that you wish worked better? Thanks

My major complaint is that things are hard to find. I can read a post one day and then not be able to find it the next without some lengthy searching. It's like it has been sucked into a vortex.

One would think that by clicking on the "Most Recent" column on the right of the screen, you could find those topics that have been recently added, but that's not the case. And just what is the difference between "most recommended" and "most popular"?

I can see the potential for bedlam if it is decided to start regular chats, but on the other hand, so far we all have a pretty good rapport and have been courteous. I think it's worth a shot. We have to do something while we're waiting.

@DRKellogg: The Most Recommended is in reference to the Recommended link at the bottom of a post. If you click that link, you're "recommending" it to others. The most popular is based on the number of clicks the post itself receives.

I'm sorry you're having difficulty finding posts. They're posted based on time, so if you're looking for an older post, all you would have to do is click on the "Older" link at the bottom of the page. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks so much for you quick response Mac McKean.

I think what's needed most is more of a message board or fan forum set up.
Something like that would allow fans to talk easily amongst themselves which can only mean more excitement and buzz all the way around when it comes to this wonderful show.

As it stands now all comments stand alone in a thread. If you start the thread you are alerted when someone responds to it but that is the only time you will know if something you've said prompts continued conversation.

Unless you go back through the threads you've commented on you would never know if a discussion is underway. I've personally have frequently been shocked to see someone speaking directly to me in an ongoing thread when I happened to stop back by it down the road. Most often their words are no where near my own in the flow and, being a good while before I do find it, I feel very bad for not responding promptly.

In the threading of topics, something many other network's and show message boards and fan forums use, each comment that's posted has the option to *reply to* it at the bottom of the comment allowing a reader to respond to that thought or opinion directly. Their response falls in line within the conversation tagged with an RE: and, since the original commenter is alerted via email just as you are here when you are the thread starter, the conversation become ongoing and far more detailed.

I've been around a lot of shows and fan forums down through the years and can tell you this set up often leads to interesting ongoing dialog amongst fans as well as a strong sense of community. Both things that are good for any show in this say and age.

Something like that, a set up that would allow fans to interact with each other, here would be really wonderful to see.

While I'd love see to wearables for purchase and would personally enjoy a weekly chat as well I think this one thing is the most important of all.

As I mentioned in my original post I, after serving as a board moderator and chat host for several shows through the years, am willing and able to help in anyway I can at any time needed. This show deserved all the very best in every possible direction so please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything or have questions or concerns.

All the best
Pamala

It would be nice to watch the reruns of Season 1 "On Demand" again. We don't understand why they were pulled....Breaking Bad is such a great show with such superb acting ...hurry with Season 2.
