Do You Want Walt to Get Away?

Or do you want Walt to get caught?

Will the powers allow Vince or anyone else make a series like Breaking Bad and allow the bad guy to win?

I just wanted to say that I LOVE this show. I am an ex meth user who married a chemistry teacher, so it's been an intriguing and fascinating window into that world for both of us. I don't feel like it glamorizes anything, rather is a very distinct, sharp social commentary on a very real aspect of life. Also, does anybody know how to get the music used in the series? The soundtrack has been amazing so far! Oh, and please bring this show back next season!

Yes, please help Walt get away and live.

My husband and I are both 60, and we love this show. Believe it or not, we are Christian people. We don't condone drug use, but understand the pressures of life can sometimes overshadow wisdom. Please tell us you are planning a second season.

I don't want Walt to get caught (or killed). He is a sympathetic character and I believe it would leave all of us feeling bad. No don't let him be caught, but I don't think he'll live, either. So few people survive lung cancer for any length of time. It's pretty much a slippery slope. By the time the symptoms appear, it's fairly well advanced. I'm not sure what Vince Gilligan has in mind for an ending, but if I were writing it, I think I would imply his ending without showing it. I might write a scene similar to the video tape he made at the beginning, but of course, without the gun, the frantic sense of the police on his butt. Or maybe I'd have him literally just walk off into the sunset/desert/Mexico.

But I'm way ahead of myself and the show. We still need to get to the next season! (FWIW, I don't want to see Jesse get caught or killed either, but I sense it could happen.)

I hope he gets away with it. Deep down inside, he is a nice person. He is just in a desperate situation. Besides, he is likable.

People who have never been in any type of desperate situation would never understand what this show means to those of us who have. This isn't glorification of drug use, no more than the Sopranos glorified mob life. Life on the fringe sucks, and this show is so close to the truth it resonates. It must be nice to live in a world where there are no drug addicts or dealers, but that world is a fairy-tale. This is an honest look at life in the universe that exists below your line of vision, but we who have been there still see that it exists. Please keep making this show as it is an honest example of life lived on the edge of reality. And to be sure, this is bad, but we are told that in the title, aren't we?

I really don't want to see either one of them (Jesse or Walt) brought down and especially how they portray his brother in law DEA as being kind of a dirt bag who really doesn't give a rat's ass about anybody. I mean making a good man lose his job over having a joint in his car and a criminal record of such minimal things like possession of weed, Hanks a total dirt bag and his wife steals, to me that is a lot worse than stealing from people like what his wife does. In a way Jesse seems like he kinda wanted to stay out of it with all the craziness going on since Walt has been in his life, but Walt is a good man and I know he won't leave Jesse stranded, should he(Jesse) get in trouble. Jesse's character doesn't strike me a much of a thug with no disregard for other peoples lives and thats why I want to see him and Walt succeed. Keep up the good work. Please could you give a back story on Jesse's relationship he had with his aunt and the reasons he had to live with her instead of his parents and why he inherited her house, did he take care of his aunt up until her death? Also more back story on Walt and that relationship he had with that rich lady.

i really don't want walt to get caught he is doing what he is doing for his family..because he wants the best for them....i really love this show it makes me feel a weird but a good feeling since i used to use meth it inspires me not to do it but simply it just makes me laugh at the stupid things tuco does on it.....

If Episode 7 showed anything, it's that Crazy-8 was right -- Walt really isn't right for this line of work since it will be nearly impossible for him to stay in his "realm of chemistry" and avoid the harsh realities of the trade.

Despite that, I don't believe he will quit. It think he will, in fact, move up beyond Tuco to a higher level of distributor who may be even more ruthless, but less psychotic; in other words, someone he can actually deal with and who doesn't use his product.

Or he may take the sweetheart deal his old partner offered him in the first place, with full medical, etc. That would be a series killer, wouldn't it?

I actually him an Jesse both id like to see them both walk away with everyone else scatching there heads about what just happened.

It is human nature to want a happy ending. With the exception of Tuco, I would like to believe that everyone else is redeemable.

If we go back to the very first chemistry lesson, though, we know that Walt is in the process of transformation. Additionally, everyone else around him is transforming. He's not living in a vacuum and what he does effects them. The other people in Walt's life are not responsible for the problems he causes, but they are responsible for their resulting reactions. My hope is that regardless of what happens, they will come to an understanding about why he chose this path. I particularly hope this for his children, because they are innocent.

From my experience, you don't discover much about yourself when things are going smoothly and on an even keel. Your greatest growth...when you find out what you're made of, is when you are put to the test and have to pull yourself out of something unpleasant.

If the writers can figure out a way to do this without Walt getting killed or arrested, then more power to them.

I think it would be a cheap escape if the show writers let Walt get away with it. I think, ultimately, he's going to have to face the consequences of his actions. But until that day, it should be on hell of a ride.

I agree with you. I definitely don't want a shark jump for this show! I was just thinking about that this morning.

I actually think that this show will take a serious turn, (near the end) that he will be come more "bad", I mean, he has killed, stole, blew up stuff, let a nice innocent guy go to jail, ect. All these things will come to light as he gets deeper into the money and drug world, then when the money is no longer an issue, he wont be able to stop, (maybe because of threat to him or his family) and finally he will survive chemo, beat hi cancer, and go to jail, where he will live the rest of his days, ostracized from his family because after they hear all the stuff he had done, they simply can not take the old " I did it for you" line, and he will be alone in jail. (And maybe his family will still be broke)

HEy! I love this show, you guys are great, and dose anyone know when Episode 8 will come out?
lujie222@gmail.com Peace!
