Why the Delay????

Why the delay in episode #3?? Two episodes and I've got a rerun. Is the delay 'till next week part of the writers' strike? These days it's hard to find a cutting-edge show that will keep people on the edge of their seats and tuning back in loyally every week.

This kinda blows, ya know?

Not to worry everyone: the third episode will air this Sunday at 10PM | 9C

Please, please, please schedule Breaking Bad earlier than you do & re-runs several times during the week. I retire early & can't stay up. Is there any chance it will run on Demand? I have not been this interested in a series since the 60's Fugitive. Love it, love it & it seems after I watch it only 15 min have passed. I want the Dr. to make lots of money & to somehow not have cancer after he achieves this. I want Pink to learn lawful lessons from the Dr. & somehow keep doing what they are doing. Beat the system so to speak. I don't condone drugs of any kind but this is after all pulling for the underdogs when we/they do everything expected by society & still fail. Keep it coming. Thanks. @sclemmons: Yes, the episodes are available on Demand--here is a link with information for getting the episodes via various cable providers:

You can also download the episodes in iTunes or Unbox (Amazon.com's service) and amctv.com has the first two full episodes available free here:

Hope that helps!

I definately agree!!This show has the kind of gritty edge that keeps your *ss glued to the seat.I honestly can't remember a show i was this impressed with right off the bat since season#1 of The Shield.I feel like i'm gonna burst a vein in my forehead if i don't catch the new episode this week!!

This show is awesome. It is definitely a smash hit. I have been recommending Breaking Bad to all my friends. I see this show winning Emmy Awards for the Direction, the Story and the Acting. This is the most original story line I have seen for a realistic TV drama since the Soprano’s first aired. I feel like I need to add a seat belt to my coach. I can’t wait to see the next episode. “The sacred coin flip” Love it!

Gripping show from the beginning ...agree with many of comments posted here. This show reminds me of 6 Feet Under (compelling from the start), also great like OZ, and -yes- the Sopranos. This portrayal of life is closer to what [ I live ] we each live. I am the, *ordinary mid westerner* - where wacky stuff could be playing itself out right under your nose. I hope that it continues to develop and AMC fleshes out the plot. A G R E A T beginning - Bravo!

I absolutely HATE when TV networks start a new series and then rerun them so soon.
I was sure I'd messed up the programming.

Why delay episode #3? Why not rerun prior episodes BEFORE the regular timeslot?

AMC is doing the fans wrong because people will give up trying to wade thru reruns while waiting for the newest installment.

PLEASE AMC be consistent and show us new episodes of Breaking Bad every Sunday. If we miss one, we'll find it...but don't put a rerun in the regular time. It is frustrating and stupid!

Amen.Ditto on the reruns.

Probably because of the Super Bowl

The reason for the delay between episodes 2 and 3 is simple. It was Super Bowl Sunday. No network would ever put on a new episode of any show against the ratings machine that is Super Bowl Sunday. too many viewers would miss and hurt the ratings.

Many programs will do the same thing if say the program aired on Memorial Weekend, 4th of July (when it falls on a weekend) and Labor Day weekend. People on vacation means they aren't in front of their TV's....

I actually took a class on this stuff in college (TV Viewership and Marketing). It was pretty interesting.

I just stumbled across this series (episode 4), watched episodes 1 and 2 online just now, and am scrambling to find episode 3 on demand.
I'm addicted.
