Language and Time Slot

I have heard a few gripes about this show starting so late and the corollary regarding the censorship of language. I'm curious about what other people think.

Personally, I'm fine with the late start because my son goes to bed right before it starts and I know I won't be interrupted during the show. In fact, when the time changes, I'll have to wait for the encore, since he'll still be awake.

I've found the language censorship to be a little odd, but I'm also planning to buy the box set when it comes out, so eventually I'll be able to watch it as it was intended.

My older son is 15 and will be 16 this year. I'm not sure he's quite ready to see something like this, although it won't be much longer. Frankly, I'm less offended when I think of it through his eyes by the overt language and drug usage, than I am by the euphemisms. You know...the things I haven't quite gotten around to explaining to him from every day life. For example, there have been two references (so far) to "pinching a loaf". I kind of think that I already knew about this by his age, but I had an older brother and a father who was a World War II veteran. My husband had two older brothers and a father who was a World War II veteran! So you know he knew about loaf pinching!

I think it was easier to tell him about sex than it will be about this subject. He's a smart kid, though, so he'll figure it out!

this show made me wake up i think if a kid is 15 or 16 he needs to see that there are alot of stupid ppl out there that mess with that meth crap and what it can do to a person, this show is 4 years to late to come out. It shows how it ruins family, lives and causes death to all who use it or try's it. It also shows how people become thieves, liars and losers.
the bleeping out the langage is kinda a hrd thing but yes ill get the box set when it comes out ,, that's a must have movie package, i cant wait to see the next show myself and i dont have kids but ill get on anyones ass of they ever do that crap or have it around me cause its just wrong

I THINK THIS SHOW IS MUCH MORE THAN ENTERTAINMENT. I USUALLY ONLY WATCH DOCUMENTARIES AND NEWS SHOWS. I ONLY READ NON-FICTION BOOKS.BUT THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SERIES THAT KEEPS ME INTERESTED.MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE OF MY NEPHEW IN ILLINOIS.THE TOWN HE LIVES IN,(GALESBURG) IS RAMPANT WITH METH. I VISITED HIM A COUPLE YEARS AGO AND THAT TOWN IS ALOT LIKE THE TOWN THAT THE MOVIE "SPUN"IS SET IN.METH IS A REAL PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY AND BREAKING BAD BRINGS THAT FACT TO LIGHT. I THINK PEOPLE WHO WOULD NEVER KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT METH IS PROBABLY WATCHING THIS SERIES AND BEING EDUCATED ABOUT THE CAUSE AND EFFECTS OF THIS HORRIBLE DRUG.NOW ABOUT THE LANGUAGE CENSORING, IT COMES ON LATE ENOUGH THAT THE LANGUAGE SHOULD STAY AS IT WAS SHOT. AMC IS A CABLE CHANNEL ANYWAY. AND IF YOU'VE EVER WATCHED "SOUTH PARK",YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THERE IS VERY LITTLE CENSORING IF ANY AT ALL. I RECORD BREAKING BAD ON MY DVR AND IT WILL RECORD THE SAME EPISODE TWO TO THREE TIMES. I'VE FOUND THAT ON ONE RECORDING,A WORD IS CENSORED BUT ON ANOTHER RECORDING OF THE SAME EPISODE THE WORD SLIPS THROUGH. IT'S KIND OF WEIRD.IT IS IN MY OPINION THAT IF THIS SHOW IS GOING TO RUN AT 10:00PM OR LATER,THE LANGUAGE SHOULD NOT CENSORED. THAT'S ALL!!

Personally I swear and I think that swearing adds realism and is funny. Like the part which was unscripted I think when the son says "just fucking die already" was classic but since it was bleeped out took away from the comedy in my personal oppinion.

I find the bleeping annoying, not because I have to hear swearing but because the gap in the sound is a little disruptive or jarring. I just started watching this on iTunes because it is cheaper to watch the few shows I like this way than to pay for the forced digital cable upgrade and a new digital TV to go with it.

Anyway - the ITunes version is bleeped too! That is double annoying and I didn't expect something I bought to be bleeped. Can we please please have an unadulterated version on iTunes. We know what we're getting! And oh - why do you bleep sh*t when Crazy 8 says it but not when the DA says it? Is his mouth cleaner?

(TOAD: please please don't post in all caps - it's so '80s newbie, and it is hard to read)

We really love this show but the bleeps are very bothersome. Why would AMC develop their own original show then bleep out the bad words? Simply rediculous! The writing and acting is fantastic. Too bad Breaking Bad isn't on FX.
