Bryan Cranston Receives Golden Globe Nomination

This morning, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 68th Golden Globe Awards, and Breaking Bad's Emmy-winning star Bryan Cranston was honored with a nod in the category Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama.

Cranston's nomination -- his first for Breaking Bad -- is one of five snagged by AMC, which also received nods for The Walking Dead (Best Drama Series) and Mad Men (Best Drama Series, Best Performance by an Actress for Elisabeth Moss, and Best Performance by an Actor for Jon Hamm).

Competing with Cranston (and Hamm) in the Best Actor category are Boardwalk Empire's Steve Buscemi, Dexter's Michael C. Hall, and House's Hugh Laurie.

The awards will be presented during a ceremony on Sun., Jan. 16, and will be telecast live on on NBC at 8PM | 7C.
